Part 10: The Aftermath

Finally, we've reached the last chapter of this ten-shot series. It's been a blast while it lasted, but time to reach the finishing line.

Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters from Lab Rats, Mighty Med, Lab Rats: Elite Force, or Johan and Julie from Waktu Rehat. I only own my Original Characters. With that being said, enjoy this chaotic story.

The Monday After

It was overall a nice trip to the limestone caves…if you disregard what actually happened yesterday morning with the whole Andrews-Chimokuri clan finding Roman in her loft.

"Ready to head back to school, buds?" Tracy looked at her younger siblings and Jenny.

"Do we have to go back?" Jenny whined out loud.

"Yeah, it was so fun exploring on the road." Spin nodded.

"I for one am looking forward to going back and seeing Breezy." Bob grinned.

"I cannot wait to tell Leo and Adam what happened with you and Ro-" Jones smirked cheekily.

"For the last time, NOTHING happened!" Tracy exclaimed.

A few minutes later, the five of them arrived at the Bionic Academy via Hydro-Loop.

They were greeted by Chase and Bree Davenport.

"Morning guys." Jones waved.

"Hey Breezy~" Bob sauntered over to flirt. Jenny quickly pulled him by the back of his shirt and held him back. "Did you miss me, little Momma?"

"It sure was a peaceful weekend." Bree remarked.

"Note to self: have mom and dad talk to Bob about respecting women." Tracy quickly jotted something down on her phone.

Chase's hazel eyes seemed to lit up when he saw his best friend return, but decided to keep it casual.

"Hey Trace, so how was the road trip?" Chase asked.

"A long story." Tracy responded with a weary smile.

"Sheesh, what happened? Did your friends snore?" Bree's eyebrows raised.

"Good luck explaining," Jones cheekily patted his sister on the shoulder.

"No, but I invited Ro to my loft to sleep together-" Tracy began to explain.

"Eh, sounds reasonable…" Chase nodded at the rationale. She must have invited one of the kid siblings up to share the loft.

"My parents are still freaked out about it. But he's been sleeping on the floor for the past few nights, I thought he'd sleep better on a bed-" Tracy's voice trailed off, one single word alone had halted Bree and Chase's entire thought process.

Bree paused before asking, "HE?! Hold up, you invited a BOY to your bed?"

Bree vaguely remembered the cute guy Tracy invited to homecoming one year. They're around the same age, if Bree's not mistaken.

"Ro's technically 20-" Tracy quietly corrected, but forgot Chase has sensitive Bionic super-hearing.

"HE'S 20?!" Bree's eyebrows have raised all the way up her forehead.

"Let me rephrase that: you invited a MAN to your bed?!" Chase inhaled before he exclaimed, feeling a sense of protectiveness (and not at all jealousy) towards his friend.

"Nothing like that I promised! Stop giving me that look!" Tracy started explaining, but her lack of context just kept digging her grave, "...and now I realize it sounds very inappropriate out of context."

"He's a gentleman, relax! He just hugs in his sleep!" Tracy pointed out. "I woke up to find him cuddling me."

"You hugged him back." Spin quietly added, a smug grin never leaving his face.

"Do you want me to punch that guy? I can get Adam to punch that guy. I can get SPIKE to punch the guy." Chase spoke. "Just give me his address and a minute to channel my Commando App. Bree, I need your help."

"No, please don't." his friend's face paled. She wasn't even sure if the world was ready for Spike and Roman to have a fight.

"I'd pay to see it happen." Jones didn't seem to share the sentiment as his sister.

At that moment, the rest of their friends (Johan and Julie Hamzah, Adam, Sakura and Leo) went over to see the Chimokuri siblings and Jenny Yamada.

"Morning, what's going on?" Leo greeted his friends.

"We all went on a road trip, there were so many pretty landmarks!" Jenny smiled.

"And cool caves!" Spin exclaimed, sharing pictures he took from that trip.

"Ooh, that's a nice picture." Johan nodded approvingly at Spin's pictures.

"And Tracy invited a MAN to her bed." Bob apparently saved the best gossip for the last.

"Wow, Tracy, never thought you were so forward." Adam whistled lowly. "Poor Chase, you need better luck at getting invited to–"

"You, shush!" Chase smacked his older brother by the arm.

"Please stop saying that. NOTHING HAPPENED!" Tracy resisted the urge to slam her head against the wall.

"Do you want me to punch that guy? I can punch that guy." Sakura asked, raising a fist eagerly.

"I can help." Adam raised a hand, while Chase nodded approvingly.

"I'm all in for aiding and abetting." Leo even joined in, flexing his Bionic arm to prove a point.

Well this is utterly embarrassing, what could get worse than this?

"Tracy, as your best friend, I think it's time…for 'the Talk'." Chase decided, his tone was a mix of concern and seriousness.

Scratch that, IT CAN!

"In front of the whole Bionic Academy?" Tracy looked horrified, as she motioned to the rest of the bionic students (her adopted brothers included) listening in.

"Yeah go ahead Chase, just tell us what you know." Jones quipped, incredibly amused.

There was a moment of awkward silence. Tracy hoped that maybe Chase had changed his mind?

"When two people are deeply in love with and/or physically attracted to each other–" unfortunately, Chase had begun talking.

"Stop! I've received that from my parents already! I don't need a repeat!" Tracy covered her ears as she speed-walked away.

"This is different! I have infographics AND diagrams!" Chase exclaimed, tailing after his friend.

"Chase? You're making things worse." Bree tried to stop her younger brother from ruining his chances with his friend/crush.

After explaining everything this time (with several interruptions in-between whenever someone goes off-topic)

"And now whenever I see Ro, I feel all nervous and giddy all the time." Tracy concluded her story.

"Tracy, as someone who's dated a few times, I think you're crushing on your friend." Bree (the self-proclaimed residential relationship expert) stated.

"A crush?! No. No way, I can't like-like him!" Tracy exclaimed. She stole a glance at Chase before looking at her shoes.

Chase seemed to notice as well, but looked away.

"Why not? It sounds like he's quite fond of you too." Johan wondered.

"I mean sure he is handsome and cool and reliable and great with kids-" Tracy described, her face slowly blushing red in horrified embarrassment, "Sweet cinnamon sticks, I have a crush on Ro."

"Congrats, you're officially the last one to know." Jones snorted. He was pretty sure that EVERYONE (Roman included) was aware of the newfound crush, except for his dumb sister.

"Also, he's 3 years older than me. He probably still sees me as a Sister rather than a Romantic partner." Tracy pointed out.

"Sis, there is a very thin line between how he treats his own sisters and how he treats you. And I guarantee you, there is nothing siblingly about the way he looks at you." Jones snorted.

"Yeah, Bob told me that you two kissed when everyone else was touring the cave?" Jenny reminded her.

"You told Jenny; but not me or Jones or Jamie?" Spin gasped in mild betrayal.

"It was a FAKE kiss!" Tracy's face flushed redder.

"But didn't you say you two have been friends forever? What difference does that make?" Julie wondered out loud.

"A lot, I've never been friends with someone long enough for them to actually like me back!" Tracy threw her hands up into the air, "They're called crushes for a reason!"

"Oh, what terrible irony!" Sakura muttered, casting a side glance at Chase who motioned her to shush up.

The rest of them haven't stopped teasing Chase about his newfound realization of his feelings towards the oldest Chimokuri sibling if the texting mishap was any indication. Looks like now Chase has some competition.

"So anything else you'd like to share from your road trip?" Adam switched the subject.

"Spin tried to learn how to skate and fell over Jamie half of the time." Jenny grinned, earning a nudge from Spin.

"Ree and Reggie were super pretty." Bob shared with a lovestruck smile on his face.

"Did you know Dad and Uncle Rod once crashed a trolley into Mighty Med's West Wing?" Spin nodded.

"I watched Ree chase her brother around camp for stealing her nail polish." Jones grinned at that memory. "It was hilarious because Moles refused to let go of the bottle."

"I think I might be bisexual now that I realized I had a crush on Ro's sister Ree when I was 16," Tracy added, feeling comfortable enough to come out to her friends.

"If you've met her, you'd know she's super pretty." Bob nodded.

"So let me get this straight: you're not?" Johan joked.

"Nope. I am attracted to both guys and girls or maybe anything in between. Love is love after all." Tracy shook her head. Reese had given her a crash course on sexualities. "I think I'm demiromantic bisexual."

"We still like you the same." Bree gave her friend a side hug.

"Cool. This means your dating pool has now doubled." Leo beamed supportively.

"So does the rejection rate." Tracy deadpanned.

"Well, on the bright side. Uncle Rod did mention if you and Ro didn't work out, he's more than glad to set you up with Ree." Her brother smirked.

"I still need to process that I liked Ree before I liked Ro." Tracy held up a hand.

"Well, they do look quite alike." Jones pointed out with a smug grin, earning an embarrassed groan from his sister.

"Enough about us, what about you guys?" Jones decided to switch the subject. His sister's been through enough embarrassment, so better take her side.

The rest of their friends started sharing what they did the past weekend. It's always nice to catch up with their friends.

Back in Mighty Med

"Hey, how was your road trip?" Alejandro Diaz (Alan's older brother, who's the same age as Roman and Riker) greeted the Andrews siblings.

"Horrifying! I swallowed a cave bug." Riker shuddered in horror.

"He's been awfully quiet since we left home this morning." Reese glanced at her eldest brother.

"Ro got a scolding from Uncle Frank and Aunt Doris." Riker briefed their friends.

"Why?" Davis Leighton (a family friend) wondered. He's met the Chimokuri family over the years (because their dads are friends and dorm-mates in college), and Uncle Frank is such a well-mannered and kind man.

"He got caught sneaking into and sleeping in Tracy's loft-" Reese teased her brother.

"Shame on you!" Alejandro faked a scandalous gasp.

"Nothing happened! I didn't touch her or kiss her or anything." Roman denied any false claims, his voice quietly trailed off, "And I definitely didn't realize I have a crush on her."

Riker claims as twins: he can somehow miraculously read Roman's mind. And that last statement was heard by the younger twin.

"Technically, you were both sleep-cuddling for hours. You could have kissed each other without knowing it." Reese pointed out. That caused Roman to pale even further if he had his first kiss with his cru-FRIEND and didn't even remember it!

"Uncle Frank is going to KILL ME…" Roman whispered in mild horror.

"Called it!" Riker raised his hand, beaming proudly. "You do like her!"

"I don't know! I've never liked anyone romantically before." Roman threw his hands up into the air, "It never occurred to me that I'd actually catch feelings for her. There are 2 reasons why this crush cannot work out."

"Number 1, She's 17 and I'm 20! It's wrong for me to develop feelings for her." Roman firmly explained, "Number 2, she likes someone else! For the past 3 years, in fact. And I don't want to ruin my friendship with her just because of that."

"So what are you gonna do about it?" Davis questioned.

"Nothing I guess. I think I should just step away from her for the moment." Roman decided after a moment of thinking.

Keeping his distance from her seems like the best and most mature option. They're just friends and he's content with the comfortability they have with each other.

"This is easier said than done when dad keeps inviting the Chimokuri family over at least twice a month." Riker deadpanned, holding up a fist.

"And dad demands to see his 'precious grandbaby' AT LEAST once a week." Reese nodded, fist-bumping Riker at the statement.

"I still need to…process these feelings!" Roman forced a smile, "For all we know, it could be a fluke, and we'll both look back at it and laugh."

"Or not." Reese snorted, amused at her brother's revelation.

"No…" Roman whined out loud, burying his blushing face into his hands.

He secretly hated how much he liked waking up to see her in his arms, or that he wouldn't mind her being the last thing he sees before going to sleep.

The worst part is how much he suddenly wanted all that to be a reality.

"Congrats on your very first crush, Ro." Alejandro tried to look on the bright side of things, but it earned another embarrassed whine from his friend. Ha, it's endearing to see this serious dork act like this.

And that's how the 2015 Chimokuri-Andrews road trip ended.

Welp, we've reached the end of the finishing line. It's been a fun adventure, but I'm satisfied leaving things here. We have mostly Rocy scenes with sprinkles of Trase here and there. I'm still gonna write Unmasked AU tho, but it's a slow progress with my other fics stacked up.

Chapter Talk:

(1.) In Unmasked AU, Tracy and Jones are friends with Sakura (my OC), the Davenport-Dooley siblings and the Hamzah siblings (Johan and Julie from Waktu Rehat). This brings us this extra chaotic rendition of the kids relaying to the older mentors what happened on the Road Trip.

(2.) Hope you enjoyed laughing at the Friends reacting to the Rocy Sleepover intel. Chase is especially hilarious to write because he's both a concerned friend and also protective of her. Also, Sakura, Leo and Johan ready to throw hands on their friend's behalf.

(3.) Tracy and Chase are now Bi Besties. In Unmasked timeline, Chase also comes out as Bisexual, but the difference is Wai Chong (from Waktu Rehat) was his Closet Key. Yes there's gonna be a Crossover Special in Lab Rats season 2 timeline because the timeline matches Oh My English: Welcome to America movie (December 2013)

(4.) Yes, Roman's the one who Fell First but Tracy falls just as Hard. And came to the horrifying realization while complimenting her childhood friend. Roman meanwhile is dealing with the feelings just as badly. He also panics at the prospect if he kissed her while they were sleeping.
