A/N:Merry Christmas in arrears everyone. Hope you had good time yesterday. Sorry for not updating for weeks now. I have no excuse other than..personal stuff. So enjoy this chapter, I guess.

Sonic's POV

I can feel everything... I bite my tongue to prevent myself from screaming again. I thought escaping would be easy but... " Why don't you let it out, Sonic" Eggman "

It'll only hurt more if you strain" This sick-

I can't remember the last time someone cut me open while I was awake. This kind of pain. I can already imagine how I look like. Blood on my arms, blood on my legs...tears in my ears and in pain. "Ahhhhhhh" He stabbed me again. " Ah, that's more like it, you don't know how long I've waited to hear you scream like this. But don't worry, it'll all be over soon and you'll be mine to command. My ultimate lifeform" I open my eyes, only to see him with that sick grin on his face. I could feel myself go in and out of consciousness.

"Get me ...needle" I could hear Eggman's commands but I was passing out, he was probably commanding one of his newest creations, androids. The android just passed the needle to him and he stabbed it in me so giddily. "Hmph" I bit my tounge harder, drawing blood. " Refusing to scream wont do you any good, Sonic" My eyes feel heavy, did he use- "The KPD should knock you out soon, night puppet". I gritted my teeth and felt myself drift off with only one thought in my head. Where are they?

Tails' POV

"Shadow the hedgehog" I heard Amy tell the receptionist. Yesterday was really bad, we couldn't get to Shadow on time and... I felt Amy nudge me to the elevator with her free hand, the other holding a basket with homemade food for Shadow and Rouge, since they both stayed at the hospital...for different reasons. Shadow stayed for medical help while Rouge stayed because she didn't want I leave Shadow. By the time we had arrived, visiting hours were over and only his close 'family members' were allowed to stay. Amy wasn't doing so well.

When we got home, I saw Sonic's coordinates but there was just one problem. It was coded, like being protected by a fire wall. I guess Eggman already thought ahead. I frowned. I coded for so long that Amy had to take the laptop away for me to sleep but even then it was still not enough. I remember clearly how frustrated I was and how Amy looked tired. I heard her sigh and even sighed myself.

I looked up at her as we walked to the elevator with concern, she looked angry and distressed. She looks better than yesterday at least.

Flashback

"STAY AWAKE, YOU CAN'T GO LIKE THIS" I look at Rouge in fear and tears in my eyes. "Don't close your eyes...please.."I hear Amy tell Shadow, I turned to her and also tried to put pressure on the wound, that woke him up a bit. Her gloves and her dress was soaked in blood. Shadow's blood was everywhere. Shadow was just twisting and groaning, trying to push our hands away. He seemed so out of it and then he passed out. Rouge started to panic and called his name. "Shadow? Come on..." The ambulance finally showed up. The back door pushed open and two mobians came out with a stretcher, a dog and mouse. They took Shadow from us and hurried back into the ambulance with Rouge behind them. I put my head in my hands, I don't even know when I started crying.

End of flashback

I remember how much she had cried from the stress and worry but I won't get into that. We finally reached Shadow's room and Amy slowly opened the door. Shadow was sitting up on the bed, looking confused and slightly disoriented, with his hand on his wound. Rouge was sitting next to the bed, her head on the bed and holding Shadow's other hand.

I and Amy slipped into the room and closed the door, that's when Shadow noticed us. "Shadow.." I didn't know what to say. Amy placed the basket on the table and walked quickly to where Shadow was to give him a hug but she stopped. She then sighed and put her hands on his shoulders and smiled. "Hey Shadow, how do you feel". I jogged to the bed and looked at Shadow, who just looked at me with the same confused face.

"I was stabbed, I remember that" he started "but.. something was troubling me so much before that" He said leaning back on his pillow before looking down at Rouge. I and Amy shared a look before looking back at him, we both need what was probably troubling him. "Shadow.." He looked at me and then I continued "How do you feel? You're still holding your chest, so are you pain?"I asked, looking at his bandages. "No" He curtly said before starting to remove his bandages. I and Amy wanted to protest but when he was done, it looked like he was never stabbed. He then proceeded to remove his IV tube with his teeth, not wanting to disturb Rouge.

" Although I was critically wounded, I am still the ultimate lifeform, my body heals on its own, remember?" He said looking at us. Amy and I just stared at him. Amy sighed and shook her head, before walking to the basket and bringing out food for Shadow. "You gave us quite the scare, are you sure you're fine?" "I'm sure" he said, before turning to me. "How about you guys? Did anything else happen?" I jumped seeing that the question was directed to me. "Um" Flashbacks of Amy looking at Shadow's blood on her, crying and praying that nothing too serious happened ran through my mind, flashbacks of me trying to clean myself up and wondering if we were really ever going to get Sonic back.

Shadow snapped his fingers bringing me back to reality, his looked concerned but I shrugged it off saying" I'm fine and nothing happened, right Amy?" "Right.." Amy responded, looking at me worried. Rouge stirred and began to wake up, causing us to look at her. She stretched and rubbed her eyes with her free hand before looking at me. "Tails?" She asked before suddenly snapping her head to Shadow. She stared at him until he said "Uhh.. hello?" She just frowned and hit him upside the head. "Ow!" Shadow yelled, not really out of pain but shock. "Rouge!" I heard Amy shout. Rouge just started yelling about how worried she was before hugging him. "Just...be more careful" She said, before letting go.

I and Amy just smiled. "Alright, you guys. Time for homemade food". " You got food?! Thank Chaos, the soup and sandwiches in this hospital taste like salty, burnt cabbage, literally!" Rouge said, complaining about the food. I chuckled a little. "I knew the hospital's food isn't the best, so I decided to make some." "Thank you, Rose" Shadow said, accepting the bowl of chicken soup. We ate in a comfortable silence, some words said here and there.

A nurse walked in a few minutes after we had finished up and said someone was waiting for us outside. After checking him up, she said he was free to go. " I'm surprised she didn't say anything like 'but you have to stay a few more nights for observation'. That's what they did to Sonic when he had to stay at a hospital..when fights got really bad. I sighed and tried to keep up with the others, seeing as I was slowly trailing behind. I put my head down and continued walking while thinking about what happened yesterday.

Shadow's POV

Rouge was talking about who could be outside waiting for us and she also was going on about what was happening in GUN while I was away. Apparently, Towers wasn't pleased with the fact that I had been injured in the fight. I couldn't care less.

Although everyone keeps telling me not to worry about what was said during the battle, I know something was wrong. I remember feeling slightly panicked and worried for someone. I asked Eggman where he had Sonic. Every other sound faded as I remembered what happened in that fight. Dodging and destroying androids while talking to the doctor and then...

I froze in my steps when my eyes landed on a tired looking Echidna, Rouge stopped walking and turned to me. Tails had walked right into me and stumbled back. He walked Infront of me and frowned, looking slightly worried and confused. "Knuckles?" Amy called, reaching out her hand and putting it on his shoulder. He stood and walked over to us "I came here to say I'm very sorry for-" Tails didn't listen and just walked up to him "Tails?" Amy called, only to be ignored. Knuckles braced himself for a hit but Tails just stopped in front of him and hugged him. He looked shocked but then just shook his head and hugged him back. When we had all calmed down, Knuckles sighed and said" Thank you for not being too upset with me but there are more pressing matters. Sonic's in trouble, big trouble" I immediately remembered what had been said in the fight "Everyone hold unto me" They all looked confused before realizing what I meant. " Oh..you remember"Tails looked worried and Amy just looked angry. Rouge sighed and held on, Amy, Knuckles and Tails did the same.

"Are you sure you should be using chaos ener-" "Chaos Control!" And we were gone.

SONIC'S POV

"Are you serious right now?!" "Fortunately, yes I am. Please proceed into the tube without resistance and we can commence" "But this is the third time today!" I growl, getting to my feet to try and move away from the android. Eggman has already vivisected me, drained my chaos energy and tortured me for his own sick pleasure and now, he just wants me dead. "I repeat, please proceed into the tube without resistance and we can commence, you annoying idiot" "You gotta catch me first" I was standing but in pain and saying that was probably the worst thing to do.

"Oh, okay, let's play then" The android's hand then turned to a shock stick and I honestly couldn't even do anything other than hope it took the hint that I actually couldn't really do anything. I was weak, hungry and energy drained. What could I do?

"Um.. hey, could you keep-" It just shot forward, gripped my arm and shocked me.

I don't know how it happened but this crappy piece of metal wouldn't let me go. As if, shocking me to the ground wasn't enough. It just dragged me by my ankle and threw me into the tube before slamming it shut. "Caught you" It smirked, probably really proud of itself.

I rolled my eyes and tried to get to the sides of the tube immediately. I yelped when the machine just dragged me back to the middle as it powered up. This is not going to feel nice. I gritted my teeth as I felt the first needle get jabbed into me, followed by a second and a third one. All the syringes got emptied into me and before I knew it, I felt pain all over my body. It felt like my body was in fire, it had to be. I rolled on the floor and tried to block out the pain, failed miserably.

A few minutes later, the door opened and I was dragged out again. The android didn't seem to care that I was already in pain, but honestly what did I expect from one of Egghead's robots. We finally arrived at the door of the cell that I was being held in. It threw me again into the room before slamming and locking the door. I so badly wanted to say ' Screw you too' but I'm hoping that I'll leave here, knowing I didn't do something, I wouldn't normally do. At least, I haven't cried yet. It thought to myself, but I might soon.

A few hours later ..

I heard the door click open, but I didn't turn around to face whatever had come to me this time. "Whatever you are, go away. I'm not in the mood" I snarled, too tired to care if it actually listened or not. As long as it didn't disturb me, it could stay as long as it wanted...but even I know that has become a luxury. "Get up, idiot" Why is it always the annoying one? "Why?!" I snap, raising my voice a bit. "You are in no position to ask such idiotic questions, idiot" I was already annoyed, so I just turned with narrowed eyes. "Is idiot the only thing in your vocabulary? Sometimes I wonder if Eggman is really improving on his robots or just making them stupider". There was silence for a while as it just stared at me.

Then all of a sudden, I was on the ground with it's foot on my face and pressing hard. I put my hand on its ankle and tried to lift it up but it just pushed harder. "Get your foot out of my face!" I yelled, really struggling now. It lifted it's leg and in one swift moment, kicked me in the temple. Then I probably blacked out.

Moments later..

I woke up to Eggman cleaning a scalpel and placing it on a metal tray with all sorts of tools used during surgery. I gulped inwardly and tried to look like I was still asleep. " Don't make me hit you, rodent. You think I didn't notice you were up?"Eggman smirked before getting all up in my face. I tried to move my head but I couldn't.I then realized that they was a metallic collar which was attached to the table around my neck, so I couldn't look anywhere but up. Only if that was how the situation was looking.

"Welcome to your nest session of vivisection, but today is especially special" He smirked before starting to grin wildly. "We will be using a special kind of sand and the best part.." He laughed with a sadistic tone before finishing "We will be recording for your friends, live action, hahahaha" He began cackling as I just looked horrified. Dear Chaos...

SHADOW'S POV

I chaos controlled us to GUN and quickly strolled inside. The others were behind as I quickly approached the elevator to take to my office, I was getting looks from the agents that had their shifts today but I just ignored them as I finally reached my work desk and began to look through the files in my locker. "Shadow, what are you doing?" I heard Tails ask but I just said" No time to explain". I finally found them, my files. I tried to get out of the building as well but Amy jumped in front of me causing me to stop and look at her. "Shadow the hedgehog, what is going on?" I looked at her and then everyone one else. They all looked confused. Knuckles seemed to already know what the files were.

I sighed and sat at a bench by the elevator, " These are my files, these contain everything about me and how I was created. We all know what Eggman's trying to do, turn Sonic into.. well...me but worse. It took months maybe even years to actually get me right but even now, there's somethings I don't have that I should've. Like speed and the ability to fly, that's why I have my airshoes. But Eggman wants to transform him to be he whole thing. I'm not natural, I was biologically engineered in a lab, created using alien blood. Sonic is and if we don't do something soon, it might not turn out in a way anyone wants it to, even the doctor".

They were all just silent afterwards and just looked at me, I sighed and was about to walk away when I heard Tails. " So your files can help?" "Yes, if we look for the right info, I think it could". Tails nodded and right when we were about to leave. Tails' communicator started flashing with a name that made everyone's heart jump "Sonic?" Tails said in disbelief before picking it in a rush.

"Who's this?" Tails asked, looking so hopeful I felt my heart ache for him. " Doesn't matter, get home and turn on your laptop. If you don't, your blue friend will suffer" It wasn't Sonic but it didn't sound like Eggman. I noticed Tails deflate with wide eyes. Everyone else did. I just pat his back as he gave the phone to Rouge and put an arm across his eyes. "I'll stay on the line and if I don't hear your laptop, it might get messier in here" "Messier? What are you doing with Sonic, you mentally ill-" Amy was interrupted by Rouge, as she put a finger to her lips and shook her head. "You have three minutes" then we heard a grunt then a yelp and we all gasped. "Stop hurting, you insane people", "Get home already"

Everyone held until Shadow as he yelled the phrase to activate the chaos energy "Chaos control!!".

The next moment

We were all in front of the laptop as Tails powered it on but once he wanted to activate a second power wall but Eggman's logo immediately took over the screen and we saw his face, probably trying to adjust his camera. "Ahh, you're all here. That's lovely. I thought I'd have to wait for Tails to contact you all or something"

I growled as Amy was getting her mouth covered by Rouge. We don't want to anger the doctor, he may take it out on Sonic. He snickered before turning the laptop towards a space. " Enjoy the show!!" He smiled sinisterly. "Bring him in" And then we saw something being wheeled in on a table. "Sonic!" Tails yelled and Sonic's head snapped to the camera and he saw us all sitting and staring at him. He yelped before struggling even more. And then he was roughly punched, knocking the air out of him, making I and Knuckles growl. Tails gasped as they roughly treated him.

Sonic just groaned and stared at us as we stared at him, he smiled" Hey guys, wondered when you'd show up".

Eggman just stabbed him with a syringe and I immediately recognized the content as I growled. Sonic seemed fine at first before he started moving and whimpering, he was biting his lip so hard it drew blood. Tails had tears as Eggman said"Oh, the show has already begun once you came online. Anyways, the rules are simple, once he screams the pain increases until I'm satisfied. Fun,right?". " I'll rip your throat, you sick person" Amy was literally glowering at him ,she looked dangerous. "Ahn-ahn-ahn, no insulting me. If you do that or leave the room, Sonic pays for it. So just quietly watch." He stabbed another syringe into Sonic and left it there, leaving Sonic to squirm in pain. He was in so much pain, I could tell. He was grilling his hands and turning his face away from the camera. "Oh? Let them see your face, Sonic" Eggman gripped Sonic's face and turned it to the camera. His face made Tails burst into tears. Sonic looked pale and feverish and I saw him do one thing he never did, he was crying. Tears upon tears were just falling from his eyes as he gritted his teeth. "C'mon, scream already" Eggman said, looking bored. "Oh, I still have that" He went off screen and everywhere was silent apart from Sonic's panting and Tails' sobbing. "Sonic?" Tails asked so quietly bit I'm sure Sonic heard.

Sonic turned his head and whimpered "Shut the...laptop down... and get rid of it.." He said that looking at Amy. "But then, he'd hurt you" Tails said, "Like he's not doing that already" Sonic smiled crookedly. "Sonic, you must know where you are. We can come get you and save you from this". Sonic just spat out blood and groaned" I wish I knew where I was". He was still crying and he wasn't even bothering to hide it. "Shadow, I want you to listen to me very carefully"

I leaned forward to show I was listening. "If Eggman succeeds and does turn me into his mindless puppet..don't hesitate to do everything in your power to put me down" "Sonic, I b-beg of you, d-don't say stuff like th-that" Tails said hiccuping. Knuckles just hugged him. Sonic said" You might not have a choice anyway" He sniffled.

"I miss you a lot, buddy. D-don't cry too mu-much over me, ok?" That just made Tails cry more. "Ames, thank you for being there for Tails. I couldn't be more grateful" Amy nodded with tears in her eyes, she looked like she wanted to burst. "Rouge, thanks for checking in on them, I really appreciate" She just looked away while covering her mouth. She had never seen Sonic like this, it actually hurt her.

"Knuckles, please don't go absent like that again. Tails really needed you" Sonic was loosing his consciousness, his words were sounding slurred and his grip was loosening. "Shadow.." I just shook my head and looked away. " ..thank you for helping Amy and Tails, thanks for what you did on the day of the battle. I really appreciated that".

" We will save you, Sonic!" "Ok... but just know.. that if you don't, I don't and won't... blame you".

He got tired really quickly. "Blue, you're getting really tired, did something happen?" Sonic just sighed and said"I got my chaos energy drained, got vivisected, 'scanned', and haven't eaten yet...". "...You're going to die in there, if he doesn't feed you.." Knuckles sounded worried. "I'll be fine, b-but ...if you're going to save me. You might want to hurry."

He then looked up and said" Please don't, not now..." Then the screen went black. "No! Please, c-come back..." Tails started sobbing and gripped Knuckles. Knuckles just looked away.

Rouge was already crying and Amy was done, she stood up and went to the guestroom and slammed the door.

I just stared at the TV and got to work. I will save Sonic...I must..
