Operation Stones Part Two

Present Day

The three ships soared through the atmosphere of the planet and before they knew it, they were soaring over the surface of the dark blue sea. It looked beautiful. The teens were able to stand out of their seats and peer through the windows to look at the shimmering water.

"Tobes, the temple island is over five miles ahead," Scylla reported. "But my sensors are picking up heat signatures under the water,"

"She's right Cap," Erzi called from his ship. "They look large and…"

"Look out!" Sylva screamed from through the windshield. Tobey and Peter just saw the face of a giant shark-like creature about to shoot out of the water. Quickly Tobey pulled on the steering gear and reared the ship up. The creature's head just missed them but its large underbelly bashed it sending it spinning backwards in mid-air. Peter managed to grab Sylva's hand but Leok's back bashed onto the back of the ship.

Tobey managed to straight the ship but the shark creature leapt again out of the water to try and eat them.

"Captain!" Erzi steered his ship and Hornil activated the guns.

"Eat this shark head!" Hornil shot at the creature, killing it instantly. "That takes care of that!"

Peter helped Leok up. "You okay buddy?"

"I'm fine. But I pretty much sure I heard my spine snap,"

His uncle chuckled. "If that happened, you wouldn't be able to stand,"

Leok fell down at once. But then he sprung up. "I'm okay,"

"Leok, that's not funny," Sylva complained.

Tobey saw another shark creature about to leap out of the water and bite a piece off Erzi and Hornil's ship. "Erzi! Break right!"

Erzi quickly steered his ship right and just as the shark leapt out of the water. Tobey shot it dead. But more sea monsters kept leaping to and fro out of the water. They had no choice but to rear their ships up.

"Man! That was close!" Scylla cursed. "Too close. There was no mention of this in the records at all!"

"Guys!" Phateia contacted. "I'm afraid we got a bigger problem!" On her ship, with her enhanced sight, she could see giant dragon-like monsters in the distance. "I'm afraid we've got more predators, herding towards us. Cap, Erzi and I can keep them at bay! You and your family get to the temple!"

"We will not leave you," Tobey called.

"Cap you must," Erzi agreed with her. "We'll take care of them! Now get to the temple!"

"Phateia, you should go with them!" Hornil told her. "They'll need to face this Guardian,"

Reluctant Phateia handed the controls to another crew member. Grabbing a jetpack, she exited the ship.

"Just…don't die," begged the Captain To him his crew were more than friends, they were family. Exchanging encouraging faces with his family, he steered the ship towards the temple island whilst the others stayed behind to hold off the space monsters. He opened the hatch and Phateia joined them inside.

2014

On the great Titan's ship, Vamos was storming around the throne room, watching ships shooting to and fro through the windows. Just then he saw a massive ship in the distance, flying towards the landing dock. He made his way to the dock where he saw Thanos march out alongside Gamora and Nebula who looked a little muddled.

"What brings you back here so soon?" he asked his father.

"Memory chamber now," was all that Thanos simply said.

Instantly they walked right to the memory chamber and to Vamos's confusion, Nebula was hoisted up with wires and her brain was plugged in. Ebony Maw got to work on a holographic computer. "Run diagnostics. Show me her memory file," their adoptive father ordered.

Ebony got to work but confusion crossed his eyes. "What is it?" Vamos demanded.

"The file appears entangled,"

"What do you mean entangled?"

"It was a memory but not hers,"

"There's another consciousness…sharing her network. Another Nebula,"

Vamos crossed his eyebrows. "How is that possible?"

"Tell me more," ordered Thanos. If there was a future version of his adopted daughter, then perhaps it could mean something more.

"This duplicate carries a time stamp from nine years in the future,"

"Nine years?" Vamos breathed. "Where is this other Nebula?"

"In our solar system, on Morag,"

"I volunteer to claim her," demanded the biological son of Thanos only for his father to raise his hand first.

"Search the duplicate's memories," was his next order. "Search for Infinity Stones,"

Ebony activated the past Nebula's memories and holograms of the future appeared before them in flashes of blue morphing people. There they saw images of Infinity Stones. Thanos raised his hand again and the image froze.

"Terrans," Gamora observed.

"What's that reflection?" Vamos pointed to a hologram of a window and in the reflection they saw…."Nebula," his face darkened..

"Two Nebulas," Gamora said.

"No. Two Nebulas from the same time," Vamos stood in front of his father. "I volunteer to claim the future Nebula from Morag,"

"Set course for Morag," commanded Thanos. "We will all claim this future Nebula. I wanna see everything,"

Asgard 2013

After sneaking past guards and through more corridors of what had been her home, Una and her team finally found Jesse's chambers.

"Here's how this is gonna. Una and I will sneak inside while you two keep guard, and I'll extract the Reality stone with this thing," Rocket held up an extractor. "And then whoosh we're out of here,"

"Be quick," Jesse begged. "I can't bear to spend another moment here,".

Una knocked on the door. "Yes?" called the voice of past Jesse.

"It's me, Una. May I come in?"

"Sure," Una entered inside, Rocket closely behind her. She entered his chambers and he was sitting down enjoying some beverages that her father had kindly given him. Rocket hid behind a box. "How are you doing?"

"Uh good. Your father has been so kind to me,"

"I can see you're trying out all the items of clothing he's offered you,"

Whilst she was talking to him, Rocket prepared the extractor.

Thanos's Ship 2014

Still on the ship, Past Nebula's memories extracted through Future Nebula's kept playing in holograms. With every second that played, Thanos became more and more desperate to learn of what was to come in his own time.

"You murdered trillions!" Bruce smashed his fist into Thanos's face knocking him down to the floor.

"Thanos, you have got ten seconds to tell us where they are!" Tina threatened cold, pointing one of her guns in his face. "Or I'm gonna blast that ugly chin right of your ugly face,"

"You should be grateful,"

"'Grateful'?" Una slashed her sword against his face, cutting out one of his eyes. "You murdered half of all life, innocent people! Loved ones!"

"Where are the stones?" Natasha asked again.

"Gone," Thanos answered, shocking them all. "Reduced to atoms,"

"You used them two days ago!" Bruce reminded.

"I used the stones to destroy the stone. It nearly killed me," the mass murderer wheezed. "But the work is done. It always will be,"

Ebony fast-forwarded it a bit.

'I am inevitable". The image paused.

"What did you do to them?" Gamora asked.

"Nothing. Yet. They're not trying to stop something I'm going to do in our time. They're trying to undo something I've already done,"

"So, you destroy the stones and now they seek to reclaim them from the past," Vamos said.

Thanos sniggered arrogantly. "I found the stones. I won. Tipped the cosmic scales to balance,"

"This is your future," Ebony said. He continued playing.

Tears were brought to everyone's faces. "We have to tear this place apart. He has to be lying," Rhodey couldn't accept his words.

There was silence. "My father is many things," said Nebula softly. "But a liar is not one of them,"

"Thank you, daughter," Thanos said to her. "Perhaps I treated you too harshly,"

Tina's gun dropped to the floor; she fell to her knees, crying. She had lost nearly all of her loved ones again. She would never see Mantis again. Rocket tearful as well embraced her, heartbroken he would never see Meredith again. Orlins purred. The Avengers cast pitiful looks at her. Una sniffled into her palm. How was she going to tell Jesse that they would never be able to bring Thora back?

Seeing them cry seemed to quiver Gamora. Thanos's victory would bring so much pain to all these people, all those who would lose loved ones in the future.

Thanos didn't care at all that they were grieving. "I'm sorry for your pain. But sometimes, sacrifices must be made for the greater good,"

Colin roared and…. Blast!

Gamora's heart jumped in her chest when she saw the future fate of his father; his head would be blasted to bits and all that would be left of him was a rotting body with a severed arm and head. But Thanos didn't care at all.

Vamos however focused too much on Nebula. "She is a traitor," Agreeing with him, Ebony waved his hand one of the wires coiled around this time's Nebula and strangled her neck. She began begging for her life.

"No. That's not me. It's not. I could never...ever… I could never betray you,"

Thanos marched on her; rage failing to be concealed on his face. He unravelled the coil around her neck and raised her chin to meet his narrowed eyes. "This is your chance to prove it,"

Asgard 2013

Back on Asgard, Rocket was just closing up behind Jesse whilst Una kept him distracted. Outside Jesse was beginning to freak out much to Tina's chagrin. "Jesse relax," she hissed.

"How can I relax? I am here in the past where Thora is still alive,"

"And you're gonna get her back when we get that stone and the others,"

"Jesse…" called a voice. The two turned to see past Thora, mouth dropped.

"Thora," he tried to sound cheery.

"What is going on? What are you wearing? And who is this? A friend of yours?"

"Princess Thora…" Tina bowed. "I can assure you this is not what you think,"

Before there could be an explanation, past Jesse stumbled out of the room, Una chasing him. He bumped into his past self and screamed.

"Shush!" Una covered his mouth but he pushed her away.

"Get away from me!"

"Jesse!" Thora helped him.

"You were supposed to get the Aether out of him," Tina berated Rocket.

"I was getting close but she wouldn't drew her attention away from me!" he accused Una.

"You were being noisy!"

The past couple stared at the older version of Jesse and the others. "Double Jesses?" Thora breathed. "Una what is going on here?"

Una struggled. Without thinking Jesse blabbered, "I'm from the future!"

Past Jesse and Thora froze. "Now you really need to explain everything," Jesse demanded. Quickly they ushered the time travellers into the chambers before any alarm could be raised. The past couple sat on the seat whilst the four sat on the bed. "Okay. Answers!" demanded Jesse. "Una, why were you distracting me whilst that racoon was sneaking up on me trying to drill my blood,"

"I'm not a racoon!" Rocket complained. "And I was trying to drill blood. I was trying to drill the Aether from our body,"

"Listen guys…" Tina begged. "This is serious. The fate of the universe is at stake here. It's the only way you guys can have a future together. And to that you need us to extract the Aether from your body,"

"Absolutely not!" Thora summoned her hammer. "We will not entrust this Infinity Stone to anyone with all the destruction it can cause,"

"Wait babe," Past Jesse stopped her. "They may be telling the truth. I mean we're talking to a future version of me. So…let's here them out,"

Thora's questionable face turned to one of sorrow when she saw future Jesse releasing tears. "Jesse, Future Jesse…what's wrong?"

"You don't make it in the future, Thora," he shook his head. His answer made his past self tighten his hand grip on Thora, whose face turned pale as a ghost.

"Basically, this titan war lord named Thanos gets the Infinity Stones, wipes out half of light including you Thunder Girl, destroys the stones and we have travelled to claim the Reality Stone here in this younger more handsomer self's body," Rocket explained. Tina and Una glared at him. "What? She needed the details,"

"So I die…and Jesse lives," Thora figured it out. "And you and whoever else is involved is time-travelling to get the stones to the future so you can resurrect me and everyone else,"

"Exactly," Tina said. "And afterwards we plan to return them to the exact moments they came from,"

"How can we be certain you all are telling the truth?"

"We are," Una implored. "You have no idea how hard it has been in the future Thora, for all our people, comping without you. I have tried to lead them but I can never be the ruler I know you become,"

Thora and Past Jesse exchanged heartfelt looks. If this was their future….they would not let that happen. They wanted to have a life together. They wanted to raise a family.

"We will give you what you all came for," Thora said.

"May I ask one thing?" Future Jesse asked them.

"Speak," his past self said.

"I want you to tell Frigga and Orpheus that I will never forget how kind they were to me, how they are being to you…and that I'm sorry,"

"For what?" Thora asked.

"I'm afraid that is something I cannot do," he was close to breaking to tears.

"We give you our word we will return the stone to this timeline once we have brought you back…Queen Thora," Tina bowed. And Rocket bowed too.

Jesse held out his arm and Rocket got to work at once.

"Before you go, it appears…I have something to bequeath to you," Thora summoned her hammer again and held it towards her cousin and lover's future self. "You both may need this…"

Present Day

Peter and his family had made it across the sea. The teens looked through the back windshields and with the distance they had flown they were still far away from Erzi and the others. They prayed they would be safe.

"We're here," Peter eyed the temple island coming closer and closer to them. "Doesn't really speak temple though," it was just a simple arch way of pure white standing on a mountain like cluster of hexagon-shaped pillars that stretched over two thousand metres into the sky.

"I don't see this Dragokren either," remarked his daughter. "But this is so Luke Skywalker,"

"Don't be fooled Sylva. He could be anywhere,"

"Let's fly to the entrance," Leok suggested.

"No, we land at the very bottom," Scylla said. The others gave her blank looks. "What?"

"Scylla, it would be too much walking and we haven't got that time," Tobey argued.

"Can't we just land at the entrance?" Leok whined. He hated walking and loved flying more than anything.

"This is a sacred place," Scylla said. "And the Guardian of this site will not be happy if we do any damage to it with our ship. We must land there," she pointed down towards a flat rock-faced shore eligible for landing on. Tobey carefully landed them all and once he deactivated the engines he wiped his forehead, sweaty from all that piloting.

"Well done," Peter patted his back. "You got us here,"

"And now we have to walk," his brother cursed. "Take very little but what is necessary. We don't know what we'll be facing,"

"I'll be ready for anything if Reiorus does anything," Phateia promised. She carried her laser sword on her back.

Sylva packed her laser guns. Since she and her father had joined the Nameless Order, he had spent every possible moment teaching her combat and wielding a gun. All that time in prison hadn't lacked him of his fighting skills. Scylla equipped herself with her special laser bow which could shoot laser arrows and split into two laser blades for close combat; she was often called 'Galactic Arrow' by the order.

Leok like his father wielded a laser sabre. As he packed, he patted a picture hanging on the wall of a middle-aged man with bunned hair, ghostly robotic blue eyes and bristles. Tobey saw the picture and shut his eyes, pursing his lips. Derang Emvonesh had raised him since he escaped captivity and lost everything. As he knew his mother, he loved him like a son, training him to wield a sword and helping him build this rebellion to overthrow the tyrant who had killed her, everyone he loved and their entire race. Tobey missed him deeply. He too had been a victim of the Snap. But after saving his brother and learning the prophecy, he swore he would do everything to bring him back. He pulled on a black leather shoulder guard with a gold star printed on it. IT gave him the name "Star Knight" for to his people, he was a noble and just galactic warrior.

Peter pulled on his black suit too and equipped himself with his Quadblasters again. He didn't know how to use them much after all that had happened between him and his former teammates but he was going to wield them, nevertheless.

The team exited the ship and raising their heads saw the temple arch just touching the clouds and a marble staircase standing before them. "Guys…" Phateia genuflected towards an ancient stone with ancient writing inscribed on the surface. "It's ancient draconic,"

"What does it say?" Leok asked.

"It says to gain the Light Stone we have to pass five trials,"

"I take it the records didn't mention this?" Sylva asked Scylla.

"Nope," the badger popped on the singular word.

"What else does it say?" Peter asked Phateia.

"It says that to pass to the fifth trial, it will require…"

"Require what?"

"That's all it says. The rest of it has been scrapped off," she stood up. "I'm afraid that's all we have,"

"Leok, Sylva…it's better if you both stay here," Tobey wished.

"No. We're coming with you too," his son declared.

Tobey tried to object until Scylla stepped in. "You might as well. Even I can't stop them from following you both," Leok just smirked at his father.

"Very well," he accepted. "But both of you stay with us at all times," he implored. They nodded.

"We can do this if we all work together," Sylva said wholeheartedly, exchanging encouraging smiles with her dad.

There's no turning back," Tobey declared.

Peter exchanged determination with him. "We're in this together. Let's do this,". And so the group began to make their way up the long case of stairs. They had come this far to reclaim the Light Stone and they knew that without it, the Avengers and the Guardians would not succeed.

New York 2012

Hulk and George were rushing through the streets to reunite with Steve when they saw Steve and Tony nearby with the Mind Stone staff but no Tesseract. Scott was there too and by the pair of crossed arms and eyebrows, they knew it meant one thing. "We got a problem," Tony said glumly.

"You numpty!" George berated after Scott explained what had happened. "That was our only chance and you blew it,"

"Relax Pym…we've still got loads of vials,"

"This is serious. This was our one moment and you blew it," he berated. "Where else was the Tesseract kept?"

"By S.H.I.E.L.D after Howard Stark extracted from the ocean," Steve explained.

"My father worked for S.H.I.E.L.D for years in the 1970s and 80s," George said. "Perhaps if you go to where he worked, you might be able to find it,"

"I know exactly when and where," Tony said. "Hulk you and George get the Mind Stone back,"

"Guys…if you use all your vials…you're not going home," Scott said.

"I know what I'm doing," Tony said. "Just get back to the compound you three,"

"Fine. Good luck…but remember…"

"I know. I know. Are you in Steve?"

"Whatever it takes," the captain handed the staff to Scott and in a flash, he, George, and Hulk disappeared and so did Steve and Tony but to two different times.

Present Day

The team had already hiked up a quarter of the mountain island. The sky had darkened and like the glimmering stars, the stairs had somewhat illuminated. It looked beautiful but the peaceful atmosphere was not enough to distract the hikers from their thumping hearts. Leok was far behind them, sweating like mad. So was Sylva's whose curly bangs were bobbing in front of her head.

"We should stop for a bit," Tobey said, not wanting to overwork them.

"I'll carry them," Phateia offered.

"We're not toddlers!" Leok complained.

"Come on," she genuflected so they could climb onto her massive back. "The sooner we get up there, the quicker we can complete the trials and get out of here,"

"Fine," Sylva climbed on her and so did her irritated cousin. Phateia easily carried them up to catch up with the fathers and Scylla who had enhanced endurance thanks to their metal exoskeletons.

"I still don't get why we've seen no sign of the Dragokren. He should have appeared to us," Peter said. "If anything he's waiting for us at the entrance and is taking great joy in watching us hike up this mound for his own amusement,"

Scylla was nervous. "I don't want to think about this fifth trial,"

"I don't want to think about what we have face in any of those Trials," said Tobey grimly. "Whatever tests this stone has in store, I fear in many ways it may taunt us with terrifying illusions,"

"We must do what it takes," Peter tried to keep their spirits lifted. "But none of us are going to die. After everything we have been through we cannot give in to our fears,". But as much as he tried to deny it, he couldn't hide it at all. He was terrified. Tobey could see it very clearly in his eyes.

They reached a third of the way up when they came to a giant hexagon shaped platform with more stairs leading away from it on the other side. "It's the first test," Phateia let down the children and she read another inscribed stone. "The test of Skill. Tame this space beast and you will pass,"

"I don't see a space beast anywhere," Scylla said. "How are we supposed to find it?"

"I think it just found us," Leok pointed upwards and they saw a massive shadow descending upon them.

Is there anything in particular you want me to do for this story? Because I want to try and make a few changes aside from other characters and doing a gender-bend for the main character. I'll give some spoilers alerts.

I have plans for Jasmine (female Jason) to at first having feelings for a Greek Prince: Androgeus (son of Minos) but then she later realises she has feelings for Pythagoras.

Additionally, I want there to be a deeper insight into how Minos and Pasiphae seized power from Aeson for themsleves because I feel like in the BBC Series there should have a further look into Pasiphae's betrayal and how it led to Aeson taking their son away to the modern world to protect him.

Please let me know what you all think.

There's also another thing I want to ask. What do you guys think of this OC love interst for Peter? Angie, a childhood friend of his from Missouri. She was abducted by the High Evolutionary under the snap and tortured to join his army, then later on she manages to escape but becomes trapped in Omnipotence City but Peter meets her in Thora 4 and she joins the Nameless Order and they begin to fall in love? Then when she wants to go home to Earth, she convinces Peter to come with her and he chooses to return to have a life with her. I would love to hear your opinions.
