Welcome one and all to the 45th Story Special! That's right, we're already at 45. I can't believe it either. And for number 45, I've got something very special, and very long term planned. More on that later. For now, we've got to start this special the way we always do, updating everything active. So this is Part I. But before we get into the recap, I just want to let you guys know, there's a big announcement for this story coming up at the end. Though, if you've read the description, you probably already know what it is. Regardless, please do stick around. Anyways, last time, Spyro, Cynder, and Spider-Man caught MJ, Flame, and Ember up on what Devil's Breath really is, all the while learning that trio is sneaking in to Sable's Central Park Facility. But what's going on as they rush over? Read on to discover...

(Our tale resumes not with Spider-Man and company, but with MJ, Ember, and Flame about fifteen minutes earlier, trying to sneak into the Central Park Compound)

Flame: So, did the others tell us off for this?

MJ: Didn't give them much chance to.

Ember: Then let's do this. Standish is in there somewhere, and we've got to get to him.

Flame: But first, we've got to get past that guard.

MJ: (Thinks of something, then pulls a Spider-Man colored coin like object out of her pocket) Let's see if these lures Pete gave us work.

Ember: Spidey couldn't ask for a better field test.

(Springing silently into action, the trio sneaks around, throwing lures to distract guards, until they make their way up to a platform with a computer setup on it, which Flame immediately takes notice of.)

Flame: What's all this?

MJ: (Seeing it too) I have no idea, but we'd best get evidence of it.

Ember: Way ahead of you.

(Ember takes out her camera and snaps a photograph of the computer screen, and with that in hand, the trio moves on to the edge of the platform, where they see Charles Standish being escorted into a tent near the Compound's edge.)

MJ: Standish, just like we thought.

Ember: We've got to get to that tent.

Flame: Hope you've got enough lures, MJ.

(As the trio moves through the facility, they overhear a conversation between Silver Sable and one of her operatives)

Sable Operative: Standish is secure, ma'am.

Silver Sable: Lock out comms too. I don't want the press getting anything about Michaels or Devil's Breath.

Sable Operative: Understood.

(Hearing this, Flame trips the generator they were hiding behind, allowing the trio to pass through what looks like a mess tent and over towards Charles Standish's tent, where MJ fires a lure to distract a guard, just long enough for the trio to sneak in and sneak up on Charles Standish.)

MJ: (Quietly) Charles Standish?

(This panics Charles Standish, who stands up quickly at seeing three new people made it past security.)

Ember: Mr. Standish, please don't freak out, we just want to ask some questions.

Flame: Namely, where is Morgan Michaels?

Charles Standish: (Thinking he has all of this together) Li sent you, didn't he?

MJ: What? No, we're trying to stop Li!

(Charles Standish is clearly too panicked to listen, as he eyes a gun on the nearby table and grabs it, pointing it at MJ, Ember, and Flame.)

Charles Standish: If Li wants to kill me, you tell him to do it himself!

MJ: Sir, we're not with the Demons, and we're not with Sable either. We're reporters. (Pulls out her press badge, as the dragons follow suit) And we all want to see Li stopped just as much as you do.

Charles Standish: (Reading MJ's press badge) Watson, I've seen your byline.

(And just as all this happens, the main trio of Spyro, Cynder, and Spider-Man arrive on the fence)

Spider-Man: Where are you three?

(As Spyro and Cynder land, Spider-Man uses his suit to locate the scene happening in the tent)

Spider-Man: Crap. Into action we go!

Spyro: Wait for us!

(And just as Charles Standish is about to open up, Spider-Man, Spyro, and Cynder come busting through the roof. Standish is panicked for a second, but then he recognizes the three who just busted in)

MJ: (Slaps Spider-Man upside the head) Nice going, partner. I was just about to get info out of him.

Spider-Man: Well excuse me for saving your life!

Spyro: Everybody, calm down. We can't go alerting Sable that we're here.

Charles Standish: Then I'll make this fast. I kind of owe you three for saving my life.

Cynder: Then please, continue as you were.

Charles Standish: Sable won't listen to me. They've got Michaels in The Bowery, and they're moving him to a new safehouse tomorrow, but they're ignoring Grand Central.

Flame: Grand Central? Like Grand Central Terminal?

Charles Standish: The Demons were discussing it when they were holding me. They're going there to get...

(At this point though, it seems the distraction of the tent being torn has not gone unheard, and Charles Standish is the first to notice, followed by Cynder)

Cynder: Sorry to cut you off, Charlie, but we've got to go.

MJ: Wait, he was just about to say something!

Spyro: And we don't want any of us to get caught. Let's roll!

(Begrudgingly MJ and her team rush off with Spider-Man and his before the Sable Operatives arrive, ending our tale for today)

This concludes Part I of the 45th Story Special. For Part II, head on over to The Injustice Wars. Well that was a lot to take in. So, Dr. Michaels is in The Bowery. And now Grand Central Terminal is part of this. But how? That'll have to wait until later. In the meantime, big announcement for this story. I have now decided to adapt all of Insomniac's Spider-Man games into future stories, and all will be included as one giant story, what I am going to call The Saga of Spiders and Dragons, which this story is now Book I of. Book II will cover The City That Never Sleeps, Book III is Spider-Man Miles Morales, and Book IV will be Spider-Man 2, with Book V and onward covering whatever else they do. Why make this choice now? Well, let's just say my 45th Story kind of inspired me to do it. More on that later today. Anyways, what awaits now that we know where Morgan Michaels is? Tune in next time to hopefully start finding out! Same time... same channel!
