Chapter 26: Covering The Final Leg Of The Journey! Traveling Back Into Kanto!
Michael quickly left the Whirl Islands, carrying Delcatty the whole way back to Olivine City. There he was greeted by a round of applause from the girls, alongside Jasmine and the townsfolks of Olivine City. He then quickly made his way over to the Pokémon Center to get Delcatty healed up.
Twilight - "Congrats on catching both of them Michael."
Michael - "Thanks Twilight. Now all that's left is to head for the Indigo Plateau."
Ruby - "What are you gonna do about Lady Ho-Oh and Lady Lugia?"
Michael - "Well I WAS gonna just send them home to the others. But now I think I'll just let them stay with us for the rest of the journey."
Weiss - "I'm fine with that. Are you gonna use them in battle?"
Michael - "Not unless it's a Trainer that turns out to be a pest or a jerk."
The girls said that they were fine with that. Michael then brought out both legendary Pokémon and explained the plan to them. The human forms they had were around Clair and Calli's height. Ho-Oh had on a Kimono just like what Zuki and her sisters wore, but it was in her natural colors. As for Lugia, she was wearing a navy bikini under a white sleeveless tank top and white shorts, along with a pair of navy sunglasses.
Ho-Oh - "I'm completely fine with doing that."
Lugia - "Same here."
After Delcatty was returned to Michael fully healed, the party checked up on their supplies. They also decided to plan the quickest route that would take them back to New Bark Town. Before getting on their way, Pinkie and Rainbow quickly caught a Mantine. Going from Olivine City, their trek would take them through Ecruteak City, Violet City, and Cherrygrove City, before finally arriving back in New Bark Town. Once at New Bark Town, they would re-plan their route to the Indigo Plateau. Upon reaching New Bark Town, the party was greeted by Professor Elm.
Michael - "Hello Professor Elm. Is there something we can help you with?"
Professor Elm - "Oh no, nothing at all Michael. More I just wanted to come over and see you and the girls off as you head towards the Indigo Plateau."
Michael - "Well thanks for that Professor."
Professor Elm - "Not at all. Now you all have a safe trip to the Indigo Plateau."
Party - "We will Professor Elm."
After Professor Elm returned to his lab, the party quickly checked over their path to the Indigo Plateau. Upon leaving New Bark Town to the east, where they would reenter Kanto, they would travel along Routes 27 and 26, then arrive at the Reception Gate that enters Victory Road, which is their final test to reenter the Indigo Plateau.
Michael - "Well here we go girls. Time to reenter Kanto."
Girls - "Right."
Michael, Pinkie, Gura, and Ina brought out as many of their Water-Types as they could to ferry the entire group across the waterways on Route 27, but they were still only halfway to reentering Kanto. Then they crossed Tohjo Falls, meaning that this time they were truly back in Kanto.
Twilight - "Feels a bit weird to be back in Kanto after so long."
Ruby - "I'll say. Felt so long ago that Michael won the Kanto Victory Road Tourney."
Michael - "Yes, we're back in Kanto. But we're still a long way away from the Indigo Plateau."
Clair - "Michael's right. Let's keep moving."
Girls - "Right!"
The party then entered Route 26. Compared to Route 27, Route 26 was a longer, and steeper, trek. After the long trek along Route 26, the party finally arrived at the Reception Gate. But when they got inside, there seemed to be a commotion going on.
