Chapter 27: A Mountainous Roadblock! Side Trek To Mt. Silver!
Michael and the girls watched as a few security guards were begging the group of trainers in front of them for something. While the girls stood around not knowing what to do, Michael walked over and roundhouse kicked the one he deemed to be Trainer group's leader in the head from behind, shocking everyone.
Trainer #2 - "Hey man! What's your problem?!"
Trainer #3 - "Yeah you got a death wish or something?!"
Michael - "SHUT UP! YOU'RE THAT DAMN ANNOYING!"
Everyone flinched at Michael's sudden outburst.
Michael - "Good grief. Now you lot have two options. Either you can take your downed friend there and scram, or what I just did to him, I'll end up doing ten times as much to the rest of you. So what's it gonna be?"
The group of Trainers were suddenly panicking.
Trainer #2 - "Retreat!"
The group then quickly picked up their friend and fled.
Michael - "Cowards."
He then turned to the security officers.
Michael - "You all ok?"
Guard #1 - "Yes, we are. Thank you for that."
Michael - "Not at all. My friends and I couldn't help but overhear that you guys needed help with something."
Guard #2 - "Yes, we do. It's very urgent."
Clair - "What is it then?"
The guards explained to Michael and the girls that a mother Tyranitar had been forcefully separated from her child and starting rampaging across the area around the foot of Mt. Silver. Michael then started walking towards the Reception Gate's western exit.
Whitney - "Where are you going Michael?"
Michael - "To reunite Tyranitar with her kid, of course. Someone's gotta do it. Might as well be us."
Yang - "I'm with Michael."
Applejack - "Same here."
Soon the rest of the girls joined Michael.
Guard #3 - "Wait! There's a reward for you for doing this!"
Michael - "Keep it. The only reward we care about is making sure that mother and child are brought back together."
Soon the party was on Route 28. While on the Route, Michael caught a Sneasel.
Michael - "Yay! Got a Sneasel! Blake, Weiss. Who's getting the Sneasel between you two."
Weiss - "You can have it, Blake."
Blake - "You sure Weiss?"
Weiss - "Sure. Besides, Weavile fits you way better."
Blake - "Thanks!"
Blake then quickly caught a Sneasel of her own.
Rarity - "Can I have Tyranitar then Blake?"
Blake - "Sure. Larvitar and Pupitar are dual Rock/Ground Types anyway, so it's purely yours."
Rarity - "Yay! Thank you! Are you gonna catch a Larvitar after the situation with Tyranitar is settled Michael?"
Michael - "Pretty much."
Rarity - "Then I'll do the same. No reason to make a bad situation worse after all."
Twilight - "Good thinking Rarity."
Blake - "By the way Michael. How do you evolve Sneasel again?"
Michael reached into his backpack and pulls out a circular object, which he then tossed to Blake.
Blake - "What's this?"
Michael - "Razor Claw. Level up Sneasel at night while she holds that, and you'll get a Weavile. Also, before I forget."
Michael reached into his backpack again and pulled out two more items, one of which was some kind of fang, and the other looked like a block of clay.
Michael - "Razor Fang for Rainbow's Gligar, and Peat Block for Pinkie's Ursaring."
Rainbow - "So how do we use these?"
Michael - "For you Rainbow, the Razor Fang works in the exact same way for Gligar that the Razor Claw does for Blake's Sneasel."
Rainbow - "Sweet!"
Pinkie - "How about this Peat Block you gave me?"
Michael - "For you Pinkie, that's gonna be a lot tougher."
Pinkie - "What do you mean?"
Michael - "The Peat Block will only work on Ursaring when there's a Full Moon out."
Pinkie - "For real..."
Michael - "Don't worry. I have a solution."
Pinkie - "You do?"
Michael - "Yes. Twilight. Any chance you, Sabrina, Kronii, and Sana can assist Pinkie when it's close to the Full Moon?"
Twilight - "Leave it to us Michael."
Pinkie - "Thanks Twilight."
Twilight - "Not at all Pinkie."
As they got closer to Mt. Silver, Michael brought out Espeon and Delphox.
Espeon - "What do you need us for Michael?"
Michael quickly explained the situation to his two Psychic-Types.
Delphox - "Then you can count on us to help out as best we can."
Michael - "Good to hear."
The party then split into trios so they could cover more ground, with Michael going as a trio with Espeon and Delphox. Both Psychic-Types had also decided to go human for this search as well. Delphox's human form had the Hex Maniac's outfit in her fur's colors, with her fox ears poking out of holes in the hat. As for Espeon, her human form had navy jeans, with a hole in the back for her tail, a lavender tank top, and lavender heels. She also had her lavender cat ears on her head and the jewel that's normally in her forehead around her neck as a necklace. Upon reaching a clearing, the trio split off to search for Larvitar.
Espeon - "Ahhh!"
Espeon suddenly cried out in fright as a rock knocked her back. Michael and Delphox quickly ran over to check on her.
Delphox - "You ok there Espeon?"
Espeon - "I'm fine Delphox. Just got startled by the rock that suddenly whizzed by my face there."
The three watched a Larvitar slowly walk out from the bushes.
Michael - "Guess we found the culprit."
Michael slowly placed his backpack by the female duo, mouthing 'stay put' to them. He then slowly started crawling over to Larvitar.
Michael - "Hey little one. I'm not gonna hurt you. My friends and I just want to reunite you with your mother. That's all."
While crawling over, Michael kept his right hand outstretched, thinking that would keep Larvitar at bay. As he inched closer, it seemed a few times that Larvitar wanted to attack Michael, but then decided against it. Then as quickly as Larvitar was enraged, a light touch on her nose from Michael calmed her down.
Michael - "There we go. Are you feeling better Larvitar?"
Larvitar - "Much better! Thank you for helping me! Also sorry for attacking you ma'am."
Espeon - "It's not a problem Larvitar. You were just trying to protect yourself."
Michael - "Now come on and let's return you to your mom."
Larvitar - "Ok!"
Michael picked up Larvitar and decided to carry her around as they searched for her mom.
Michael - "You girls sense anything?"
Espeon - "I'm getting nothing so far."
Delphox - "Same here. Guess it seems like Tyranitar's Dark-Typing is blocking our psychic powers from working."
Michael - "Then let's just be careful while looking."
The four of them soon came to another clearing. Just as they were about to start searching, a Hyper Beam came out of nowhere, causing them to split apart.
Michael - "You girls ok?"
Delphox - "We're fine Michael! You and Larvitar?"
Michael - "We're fine too!"
Michael then placed Larvitar down.
Michael - "Go hide Larvitar. We don't need your mom feeling guilty for one of her attacks making you get caught in the crossfire."
Larvitar - "Ok!"
Larvitar quickly got out of the way, giving Michael, Delphox, and Espeon the freedom to help calm down Tyranitar without worry. Michael then transformed and rushed at Tyranitar, while Delphox and Espeon gave him long-range support. Michael dodged a Dark Pulse that was fired at him, but then it started heading for Delphox and Espeon. Both girls braced for the impact, but then opened their eyes to see Michael knocking the attack away. Sadly, Tyranitar had decided to fire another Hyper Beam at the trio, catching them completely off-guard. Larvitar braced herself as the trio was caught in the explosion. She then watched as her enraged mother slowly walked over to her downed friends, ready to finish them off. Larvitar mustered up her courage and ran out of her hiding place, blocking her mom's path.
Larvitar - "Stop mom!"
Tyranitar stopped in place and looked down.
Larvitar - "These people just wanted to help me get back with you. So Please Wake Up Already!"
Tyranitar then fully calmed down and her eyes went back to normal. She then began crying as she sat on the ground. Larvitar began crying too as she ran over and jumped at her mom, hugging her.
Larvitar - "Mommy!"
Tyranitar - "Oh my sweet baby girl! I'm so happy to have you back with me!"
Michael silently walked over to the mother/daughter duo.
Michael - "You happy to be back with your mom Larvitar?"
Larvitar - "Michael!"
Larvitar jumped off her mom and ran over to Michael.
Larvitar - "Thank you for getting me back with my mom! Also are you, Delphox, and Espeon ok?"
Michael - "We're fine Larvitar. Although I should go over and help them to their feet."
As Michael walked over to assist his two Psychic-Types, Tyranitar called over to her daughter.
Larvitar - "What is it mom?"
As mother and daughter talked, Michael slowly helped Delphox and Espeon to their feet.
Michael - "You both ok?"
Espeon - "A bit sore, but otherwise I'm good."
Delphox - "Same here."
Larvitar - "Michael! My mom wishes to talk to you!"
Michael led Delphox and Espeon over to Tyranitar and Larvitar.
Michael - "What is it that you need Ms. Tyranitar?"
Tyranitar - "First off, no need to be so formal to me Michael."
Michael - "Sorry. Force of habit."
Tyranitar - "That's quite alright. It's nice to see you have manners towards elders you respect at least. Anyway, Larvitar and I were talking while you were checking on your Pokémon, and I've decided to let her travel with you."
Michael - "May I ask the reason for this?"
Tyranitar - "Of course. You do have the right to know after all. The reason for this is due to a group of a dozen poachers that forcefully took my daughter away from me. Now I sadly can't watch over her until she's old enough, so I'm entrusting her safety to you and your friends."
Delphox - "Leave it to us ma'am!"
Espeon - "Yeah we won't let you down!"
Tyranitar - "Good to hear."
? - "So it seems like you've finally calmed down at last."
Michael, Delphox, and Espeon turned to see a group of a dozen guys in trench coats enter the clearing.
Michael - "Tyranitar. Are there..."
Tyranitar - "...the poachers I was talking about? Yes, they are."
Michael - "Come on out then everyone!"
Michael had brought out Swampert, Urshifu, Incineroar, Dragcaria, Delcatty, Empoleon, and Greninja, the first three of which were standing on either side of him, and the others were by Delphox and Espeon.
Swampert - "What do you need Michael?"
Michael - "Well Swampert. You, Incineroar, and Urshifu are gonna assist me with getting up close and personal with these poachers Pokémon."
Incineroar - "So who are they after?"
Michael - "The Tyranitar and her daughter Larvitar that's behind Swampert's brothers and the girls."
Everyone but Michael, Delphox, and Espeon turned to acknowledge the pair of Pokémon they were now protecting.
Michael - "Let's go!"
Incineroar - "Charge!"
The poachers brought out their own Pokémon, but before any of them could issue an attack command, the quartet of Michael, Swampert, Incineroar, and Urshifu plowed in the massive group, attacking every enemy that was in front of them.
Delphox/Espeon/Delcatty - "Fire!"
Empoleon, Greninja, and the girls then started firing their long-range attacks at ANY opposing Pokémon that had decided to break away from the large group. Soon all twelve poachers and their Pokémon had been knocked out.
Michael - "And that's that."
Twilight - "Michael!"
Michael turned to see the girls running over to him.
Michael - "Ah. There you girls are."
Ruby - "You ok there Michael?"
Michael - "I'm fine girls. Nothing we couldn't handle."
The girls then finally noticed the carnage in the area around them.
Weiss - "May we ask what happened here?"
Michael quickly explained everything to the girls, from the poachers that started this entire mess, to what just happened a few minutes ago.
Calli - "Thank Arceus you're ok at least."
Michael - "Now let's hand these jerks over to the authorities. Wait. Before I forget..."
Michael quickly walked back over and reached into his backpack, taking out an Ultra Ball and placing it in front of Larvitar.
Michael - "I know your mother said you could join me. But I do want to know your decision Larvitar. I'm 100% fine with whatever you choose to do."
Larvitar looked down at the Ultra Ball, back up at Michael, then down at the Ultra Ball again.
Larvitar - "Toss it into the air."
Michael - "You sure?"
Larvitar - "Of course!"
Michael picked up the Ultra Ball, then tossed it into the air. Larvitar then jumped high into the air and hit her left paw against the button, causing the Ultra Ball to suck her into it. It then fell to the ground and shook three times before clicking. Michael walked over and picked up his newest capture.
Michael - "Alright! I just caught a Larvitar!"
Michael then brought out Larvitar.
Michael - "Now Larvitar. For the time being, I'm gonna send you home to my sisters and parents. While you're with them, you'll make a lot of new friends, along with having a lot of space to play and train. And when I DO need your power, I'll call my younger twin Akira to send you over. Are you ok with that?"
Larvitar - "I sure am Michael!"
Michael - "Good to hear!"
Michael then returned Larvitar to her Ultra Ball, followed by sending her and Sneasel to Akira. He then turned back towards Tyranitar.
Michael - "How are you feeling Tyranitar?"
Tyranitar - "I'm just fine Michael. And thank you again for taking care of my daughter."
Michael - "You're quite welcome ma'am. And have a nice day!"
Michael watched as his Pokémon picked up the group of poachers, then led them and the girls back to the Reception Gate.
