In this tale, Tav succumbs to the Dark Urge, unable to escape their creator's grasp. Astarion, now a vampire lord, chooses Tav as his consort and precious spawn, tempering the corrupt impulses that mark their origin. It appeared a perfect solution to a bittersweet fate at the time.

Astarion is mildly injured in an Underdark fight, and a guilty Tav makes it up to him. Lines begin, ever so slightly, to blur. Set in late Act 1.

In the aftermath of everything, taking a moment to rest and recuperate in Baldur's Gate seemed logical. Well-earned, too.
