Barked
Chapter 1: Prologue
It was a sunny day in the town known as Amity Park. Not just any day, but it was Saturday too.
The students of Casper High were enjoying a rare day of and our favorite couple was among them, a certain ghost boy and his blonde lady love who were enjoying a rare moment of NOT dealing with certain annoying pests in their lives.
However, this story is not about them.
No, deep in the ghost zone, away from Skulker Island, Walker's prison and Pariah's keep, a certain ghost was up to his own plans...and not just any ghost either.
No, it was a certain little green ghost dog, who felt bored and alone.
"Hmmm..."The dog whimpered out, feeling down.
This ghost dog is known as Cujo.
He had been playing with his favorite squeaky toy, but had lost interest for the time being, due to not feeling in high spirits right now.
The reason he was feeling like this, is because he had no one to play with. Most of the other ghosts paid him no mind and the ones that did enjoy his company and showered him with attention were busy, leaving him alone.
He didn't like being alone.
"This isn't fun. I wish that there was someone to play with..."Cujo thought, wishing to cure his boredom and loneliness.
Then, something flashed across his little doggy mind.
He remembered the last time he was in the human world, that felt like a long time ago...about a week in human times, but it felt like an eternity to a dog.
Especially a ghost dog.
However, he also recalled that floating boy who he often played with, and his nice mate, the pretty girl, who always gave him belly rubs and food for being a good boy.
He suddenly perked up, his little tail was wagging as he thought about them.
"It's been so long, I wonder if they'll play with me...and I hope that the pretty girl has more of those yummy treats and steaks too!..."He thought, as he recalled that she had given him quite a few during his last visit.
The more he thought about it, the more excited he got.
"Alright, I'm on my way!..."He thought, as he picked up his squeaky toys and then took off, knowing the way to go.
To the Fenton portal, where he knows his friends are nearby.
Meanwhile
In a fancy penthouse at a place known as Polter Heights, another dog had just woken up and began to go about her day.
She was a purebred, snow white poodle, who had just had a gourmet breakfast and was now playing with one of her favorite masters.
The youngest human of the household, who also happened to be her most favorite.
The baby, known by his parents as Pierre, but to Fifi, he was known as the little one. The little one was awake in his crib and noticed the dog walking inside his room and was staring at him, while he remained in his crib.
Pierre saw her and giggled
"Fifi! Doggie!..."He said as he tried to reach for her through the bars in his crib, giggling as he was happy to see her.
"Good morning, little one!..."Fifi thought as she barked happily.
She even licked his little hand, making him laugh more. She wanted to play with him, however, that is when one of her masters walked in.
"Oh, I see that you both are awake...The blonde woman said, but Fifi referred to her as the Madame, who was also her master since she has raised her since her puppy-hood.
While she couldn't understand her, Fifi did what she was expected to do.
Since was a top of the class, obedience school graduate, she understood that her master wanted her to go to the kitchen while she took care of the little one.
As she went to the living room, she was greeted by the other masters of the house.
Her master's mate, the smelly human who barely paid any attention to her.
His offspring, the cranky human who also had lots of strong, unnatural smells that Fifi didn't like, wasn't here. Fifi didn't know where she went and honestly, she didn't care.
She didn't like that human and she didn't like the smelly man who fathered her. They didn't pay much attention to her, unless she was in the dog shows that she often frequents
Fifi didn't go to them, and they barely seemed to notice her.
The only ones who did notice her and paid any real attention to her was Madame and the little one.
She heard the oldest humans were talking about something that she didn't understand, while the little one was giggling about something right now.
Fifi didn't know what they were talking about, but the little one crawled toward her and had a ball in his hand.
"Fifi, fetch!..."Pierre said, as he threw a ball and it landed in the kitchen.
"Oh boy, a ball!..."Fifi thought, as she wagged her tail and ran to get it.
She got it and soon went back to the baby boy, who was clapping happily.
"Again! Again!..."Pierre cheered, wanting to play more and so did Fifi.
However, his mother picked up the baby and then placed a leash on Fifi.
"Alright Fifi, time to take you to you on your walk and then head to Alyssa's, and then you will be sent to the doggy day spa. After that, I'm taking Pierre to go shopping. He's getting bigger and bigger, aren't you, Darling?..."Stella said, as she cooed to her son.
Fifi didn't understand her, but she knew her routine by now.
They would go for a morning walk together, usually at the park and then she would leave her at a place where that human Alyssa would keep an eye on her for and even play with her some times. Then she would be picked up by another human that wasn't a part of the family and taken to the doggy spa that groomed her daily, then she would be given food, pampered and a bunch of other stuff would happen too.
After that, she would be taken to her training lessons where she was taught new tricks that humans seem to enjoy seeing dogs do.
It usually lasts a while, and she wouldn't be brought back home until much later, where she would be served either prime rib, or a bunch of other fancy stuff that her owners have accustomed her to since she was a puppy.
Fifi frowned.
While she does like walking and Alyssa plays with her and is very nice, she did wish that the Madame would be the one to do so more often, and she would rather play with the little one than go to that spa again.
Sure, she looks being groomed, but not every day.
She looked at a nearby shelf and saw the many trophies and blue ribbons that she was awarded with each time that she entered those dog shows, and she always recalled just how happy her masters were each time that she won one of these.
She was suppose to make her masters happy...but to be honest, the training for those things were kinda boring and take a lot of time too.
"I wanna play some more..."She thought, having much rather play with the little one and the madame than do all of that, but they expected her to do this and she wanted to be a good girl.
Even if it means taking a lot of lessons, appointments and generally not having as much play time as she wanted.
However, it was the price to pay in order to have a nice home, three meals a day and a family who loves her.
Right?
That was that she thought as they began their walk and her daily routine started all over again.
After the walk and Fifi doing her early morning business, her master dropped her off and as always, she was walked in the park, sent to doggy day spa and then taken to her trainer..and more humans took her to began to teach her how to sit, behave and do "adorable" little tricks...like all good show dogs should.
Fifi didn't like being a show dog, but her masters expect her to be a good girl and she wanted to be a good girl too.
She is a good girl, she was sure about that.
Still...
"This is so boring...I wish I could just run around the park with someone all day long..."She thought, wishing that she had someone to play with instead of doing this boring routine.
Meanwhile
Unknown to Fifi, she wasn't the only one seeking a playmate as right now, a certain green canine emerged from a certain portal, in a certain family's basement.
This green canine only had one thing on his mind right now.
"Time to find someone to play with..."This canine thought, before phasing out of the lab in order to find a playmate.
Unknown of what would happen...and who he will encounter later on today.
