Mother nature's surprise visit
Kevin sighed, tired of Gwen's persistent nagging about asking her out. One day, he decided to give in to her requests. "Fine, Gwen. Let's go out, grab a bite or something," he said reluctantly.
Gwen's face lit up with excitement. "Really? Finally! I thought you'd never ask."
They agreed to meet at Burger Shack, a popular hangout spot in town. As the day approached, Kevin couldn't help but feel a bit nervous. He wanted everything to go smoothly.
The day arrived, and Kevin waited nervously at Gwen's house. Gwen opened the door, looking stunning, and they drove to Burger Shack.
"So, what made you change your mind?" Gwen asked, sipping her rootbeer.
Kevin hesitated but decided to be honest. "You just wouldn't stop bugging me about it. Figured I'd give it a shot."
Gwen chuckled. "Persistence pays off, doesn't it?"
As they chatted, enjoying their time together, nature decided to throw a curveball. Gwen winced slightly and shifted uncomfortably in her seat clutching her stomach.
"Are you okay?" Kevin asked, concerned.
Gwen forced a smile. "Yeah, just... nature calls. i will be right back." With that she made her to the restrooms.
Kevin's eyes widened in realization. "Oh, uh, right.," he mumbled, awkwardly.
In the restroom, Gwen couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed. She returned to the table, trying to act casual. "So, uh, where were we?"
Kevin laughed, appreciating his effort to keep things normal. "We were talking about my so-called tough-guy image.
Gwen smirked. "Well, maybe there's more to you than meets the eye."
Their conversation flowed, and despite the unexpected interruption, they enjoyed each other's company. As they were about to leave, Gwen couldn't hide her discomfort any longer.
"Kevin, I hate to cut this short, but I need to head home. It's that time of the month, and I didn't come prepared."
Kevin nodded understandingly. "No problem. Let's get you home."
As they walked, Gwen couldn't help but appreciate Kevin's understanding. "You're not as bad as you pretend to be, you know?"
Kevin chuckled. "Don't go spreading that around. I've got an image to maintain."
They reached Gwen's house, and she turned to him with a grateful smile. "Thanks for tonight, Kevin. Despite the unexpected twist, I had a great time."
Kevin scratched his head, feeling a bit awkward. "Yeah, me too. We should do it again sometime... without the surprise visits from nature."
Gwen laughed. "Deal. Goodnight, Kevin."
"Goodnight, Gwen," he replied, watching her go inside before heading home himself, pondering on the unexpected turn of events.
