MOM!! DAD!! A four-year-old American boy dressed in a All-Might shirt with jeans and red and white sneakers is seen running through the burning and ruined plaza panicking and looking for his parents. The day had started perfectly so why. Why is this happening?
Earlier that day
Billy Batson wakes up earlier than normal because today is the day that he and his parents came to Japan. All-Might had a meet and greet scheduled today and Billy begged and pleaded with them to take him. He even started teaching himself Japanese just for the event. He had given his parents all of two seconds of peace before he cannonballed onto his parents' bed jolting them both from their slumber. "Oh my goodness, Billy don't do that you could have hurt yourself." Marilyn Batson scolded her son, Clarence Charles "C.C." Batson chuckled at how energetic his son was this early. "Hahaha, Marilyn he's just excited after all it's not every day you get to meet the #1 hero in person." Marilyn sighed, "So sweetie since the event doesn't start till noon, would you like to go explore the city, maybe we'll even see some cool new hero." Billy nodded his head rapidly with a grin on his face. "Yeah that'd be awesome, isn't UA here can we go see that last before we see All-Might." The parents pretend to think for a moment, sharing a knowing look between themselves. "Mmmm. Yeah of course buddy. Now let's get dressed and grab some breakfast from the lobby. So we can have time to see everything we want." Billy Jumps from their bed and runs to his suitcase to grab street clothes and rushes to the bathroom to do his morning routine and change once he is finished.
The streets of Musutafu
As the three went around the city seeing the sights as well as some of the lesser known heroes of Japan they even saw the famous hero school UA. The closer it got to noon the more Billy was slowly growing impatient to finally meet his hero in person. After the family stopped to get some food they made their way to the Musutafu convention center. As they were waiting in line to enter the center proper, Billy looked around at all the other people waiting in line. In Front of him, he sees a woman with long dark green hair holding the hand of a child in an All-Might onesie with the hood up vibrating with excitement while in his other hand, he has an All-Might action figure. And a little farther up he sees an ashen blond-haired mother and son, as if he could sense his gaze the little boy glared over his shoulder looking right at Billy. Shivering Billy quickly looks away to the back of the line where he catches a glimpse of a pink-skinned girl with matching pink hair and small horns barely poking through her hair. Her eyes were what caught his attention. Her sclera is pitch black and her irises are a brilliant shining gold. He couldn't help but get lost in her eyes. Looking down at his son who had gone eerily still C.C noticed that he was staring at something his first thought was that he had seen All-Might but no one else in the crowd had reacted he dismissed the thought instead he followed his line of sight to see he was looking at a pink girl who was sitting on her father's shoulders and talking excitedly with her mom about seeing All-Might in person. Chuckling C.C got his wife's attention " I think our son is proving there's such a thing as love at first sight hahaha." Marilyn looked confused until she looked at her still enamored son, noticing his staring at the little girl. She made a noise of understanding as she crouched down to whisper in her son's ear, "You know if she catches you staring like that I bet she'd find you creepy." Marilyn giggled as Billy turned to dice the front of the line with a massive blush adorning his cheeks. C.C joined in with his chuckles after seeing his son's cherry red face. After about thirty minutes the Batson family was finally inside what looked like a full-on museum of all Might with his likeness covering every space available in the massive convention center. Billy's eyes lit up as he sprinted head dashing from one booth to another looking at all the different All Might nicknacks they had for sale, his parents chuckling at his excitement while they trailed behind, always making sure he was in their sight. It had been about two hours before they announced the meet and greet was about to start. Grabbing his parents' hands he starts dragging them toward the largest booth in the middle of the center. It didn't take long, since Billy made them stay close after he had his fill of the smaller booths after begging his parents to buy him all of the limited edition All-Might merch. Of course. Being some of the first ones there they were at the front of the line and in front of them happened to be the girl Billy was staring at before. Billy blushed after realizing this he prayed his parents didn't notice. But it would appear the gods have ignored his pleas when his father taps the girl's dad on the shoulder and whispers in his ear The girl's dad looks at him them smarks Billy's stomach started to twist itself into knots see the smirk on his and the girls father faces the next thing he knows he's pushed towards the Girl by his mother her quickly shot her a betrayed look at his mother. Looking back he's met face to face with the friendly grin of the girl. "Uh, h-hi." Billy said sheepishly while giving her a small wave. The girl seemed to feed off his embarrassment if her devilish smirk is anything to go off of. "Hey, there! I'm Mina Ashido what's your name?!" She asks her voice like honey in Billy's ears; he just stares at her for a minute before he processes her question. "I-I'm Billy Batson." He says in accented Japanese. " Nice to meet you Billy Batson Are you excited to see All-Might too" she asked as they moved up in line. "You bet when I get my quirk I'll work hard and be the best hero like All-might." Mina giggled at his conviction, finding such a serious look cute on his chubby face. "That's an amazing dream! Where are you from Billy? Your Japanese sounds weird not that it sounds bad or anything." Billy nervously scratches the back of his head, "Oh well I'm from the US I'm on a trip with my mom and dad we came for this meet and greet." Mina's eyes widen as she looks into his striking blue eyes. "Woah you're from America! That's so cool! What's it like there? I've always wanted to visit." "Oh well I've never really been to the other states, I've only ever seen Pennsylvania. It's beautiful there. Maybe you could convince your parents to vacation in the US. " As he was about to ask her something, something came crashing through the roof of the convention center destroying the stage All-Might was supposed to appear on. At first, people started to cheer because they thought All-Might had finally arrived but when the smoke cleared it was the former number one hero of Japan Lady Justice, Her hero costume consisted of a dark, sleeveless bodysuit with a high collar, yellow elbow-length gloves, and white knee-high boots. Around her waist was a belt with an angular golden buckle, a small cape attached around the back which hung down to her knees, and over her shoulders was a longer cape, buttoned to the shoulders of her bodysuit. And beside her was the former 3rd rank hero in Japan Gran Torino his hero costume consisted of a full-body monochrome suit along with a yellow cape, a belt with the letter "G" on it, very thick yellow gloves and boots, and dark domino mask which resembled diamonds standing over the two Fallen heroes Is a normal young man with a notable suit and short, white hair. "Haha is this all you have left Nana you should have stayed hidden if that was the case." The young man's hand transformed into a mass of red and black tentacles he shot out at the downed pros but before the spikes pierced their target a massive whirlwind blew throughout the entire center along with a deep familiar laughter. All-Might has arrived, he was standing a good 10 meters from the man with both former high-ranking pros on his shoulders, his iconic grin shining brighter in person. "HAHAHA HAVE NO FEAR FOR I AM HERE!!" All-Might exclaimed as he handed the pros to the center's security who had started to escort the crowd to safety. "Ah, All-Might, just who I was looking for. You know when I heard you were putting this together I knew I just had to check it out." The young man starts to laugh cruelly "Once I kill you and Nana no one will be able to stop me." All-Might frowned at his words but didn't lower his guard; instead, he charged at the man throwing a 30% smash at the man's chest. The man made no move to block or dodge his attack when All-Might's fist made contact with the man's chest when instead of the man flying back it was All-Might who was launched back.
While the two titans clashed the Batons and Ashido's were sprinting to the exit with the crowd when some shoved in between the Batons separating Billy from his parents and knocking him to the ground. Billy crawled to one of the booths so he didn't get trampled unintentionally separating himself farther from his parents. when all of a sudden the world exploded and everything went black.
Hours later, Billy woke up under the destroyed booth lucky none of the heavier debris had landed on him. Pulling himself from the booth he stands up and looks around to see pure chaos. There are bodies littering as much of the ground as debris of the destroyed building, the bodies not on the ground were struggling to lift debris off of those trapped or stumbling around like zombies. With his ears ringing he begins to search for his parents. After wandering around inside crying out for his parents he found an exit and headed toward it. Making it out onto the streets he sees police paramedics and firefighters rushing all over the place he makes his way over to one of the officers with a trench coat. "E-excuse me, sir, can you help me find my parents?" Billy asked the man tugging on his coat. The detective bends down to his level and puts a gloved hand on his head. "Sure kids what's your name so we can find out if anyone is looking for you already? Okay?" Billy nodded his head "Billy Batson my mom's name is Marilyn and my dad is Clarence." The detective nodded, patted his head picked him up, and sat him on the trunk of his car. "Alright don't worry wait here a moment I'll be right back. Okay." Billy nodded and stared at the ground. The detective walked to his radio, "Dispatch, We have a lost young boy here named Billy Batson looking for his parents Marilyn Batson and Clarence Batson. Over." He waited for a response. "We don't have any officers radioing in with parents look for a Billy Batson they might still be inside give it another hour and see if they turn up. Over." The detective sighed and his radio back and went back to tell Billy what he was told so they waited…and waited…and waited…they waited till the sun was setting and the rescue heroes and police were pulling out the bodies of those that had not mad it outside in time or had been trapped by debris
His parents were among the deceased.
