Hello everyone! It's me Yosie, I know I haven't been around for a long time but right now, I want to try to upgrade and make a few changes to my Generator Rex story. I did mention this in my last chapter of the Adventures of Rosie but I will state it here. Whenever I try to make new chapters of the Adventures of Rosie, I wasn't feeling motivated and rereading the stories made me want to make some major upgrades. Hence why this story is coming out now. I will take my time with this story and focus more on this. This is basically a future story involving a new generation helping their parents as there are new threats approaching. I'm using some old ocs here and modifying them. I hope you guys like it and will see the improvements that I made.

Now I will say this, don't think that every character will be the same, some of them are going through changes and might seem different. I also brought in some new characters that I hope you like. Sorry for the long note, without further ado, let the story begin!

I don't own anyone or anything from Generator Rex. I do own each of the following characters, Lucia, Julio, Rosie, Hisui and Zane. LadySora15 owns Ava and has granted me permission to use any of her ocs in future. :3

Providence has been around for many years now and it keeps advancing as the years go by. After the World was cured of Nanites, Providence made sure to continue on with helping the world and they have done well with eliminating the robotic threats that are coming around the corners. Recently though, there has been a sudden detection of Nanite energy going on around the world. The biggest burst of energy happened at the Abysus. Everyone was concerned that there might have been a possibility that a Nanite Explosion could happen again.

So, Providence decides to send a few agents along with Rex to investigate the sudden surge.

Back at the main base, Doctor Holiday and Caesar were working around the clock to see if the Nanites were stabled or not. Just as they were running some more data, Caesar's daughter, Lucia walked into the lab with a tablet and looked through some files.

"Papi, we got some data from the agents and it seems like the Nanites are already deactivated by the time Providence got to the Abysus." The twenty one year old remarked as she handed her father the tablet.

He skimmed through the reports while Rebecca was contacting Rex about the situation.

She asked, "Rex, are there any more active Nanites around the area?"

"Negative Doc. Everything is quiet here. Even Van Kleiss' old castle has nothing. But if I'm being honest, there's nothing but rumble here now." Rex admitted through the ear piece.

"Was the castle always destroyed or did it recently happen? There could be a possibility that whoever brought in those Nanites and activated them might have wanted to cover their tracks." Caesar said as he didn't like how there could be a chance that someone is messing with something that could change the world into EVOs again.

Lucia watched both scientists walking back and forth from different monitors, computers and checking samples to see what they could do to put an end to any chaos immediately. She was confused, Lucia always thought that Nanites were a good thing but in the right hands. Who in their right mind would want to mess with something that caused the world to turn into monsters at random times? Unless they wanted to use it for good but that seems unlikely.

After thinking things over, Lucia went to one of the monitors and checked for other locations that had a sudden surge of Nanite in the past 24 hours. She plugged in some numbers and coordinates and started to frown when a few reports started to flood in.

"This is going to take us hours." Lucia said out loud and Rebecca glanced at the time. She quietly sighs when she notices it was already getting late and she should be back at home with her kids. However, she and Six weren't even halfway done with their work to head back home. It's already bad enough that they have their fifteen year old daughter watching over three year old brother every single time that they are late but they felt like they shouldn't give her so much responsibility.

As if Caesar was reading her mind, he chimed in, "Why don't you and Six go home? Lucia and I can handle this until you guys come in tomorrow."

"Are you sure about this Caesar?" Rebecca asked as she was unsure about this.

Lucia started to smile and gave her the thumbs up, "We totally got this! Don't worry about it, Aunt Rebecca."

She whispered faintly to her aunt so her father wouldn't hear the rest of the conversation, "Just be lucky that Julio is home with mom today and not at the lab. Now that's when you should worry if dad and Julio are in the lab together."

However, Caesar didn't listen to their conversation as he was too focused on numbers that are scattered across the screen. Rebecca looked at her niece and then at her brother in law. There are times that Rebecca is grateful that Lucia is more level headed just like Beverly and knows how to handle Caesar when he tries to do something reckless or risky when it comes to science. Unfortunately for Julio, he seems to have a bit of bad luck when it comes to his inventions. They mostly end with it being on fire.

"Don't hesitate to give me a call. We don't want there to be a possibility that another Nanite Explosion can happen if we're not careful." Rebecca sternly told Lucia. But Lucia was already dragging Rebecca out of the lab and reassured her that everything would be okay.

She started to crack her knuckles and said, "Alright papi, let's get to work."

"What was that Lucia?" Caesar asked as he didn't take his eyes from the monitor.

"Nothing."

Back at the Holiday household, the kids were doing their own thing while staying at the bottom level of the house. Rosie was busy making dinner for everyone to eat after getting the message from her parents that they were already on their way back. She learned how to make a few dishes and was grateful that she was a decent cook. Right now, Rosie was in the middle of making spaghetti and meatballs. While her little brother, Hisui was looking out of the window that leads to the backyard. He was hoping that their parents would be back soon. He started to pout and continued to stare out while their pit bull Gizmo, walked next to him and looked out too.

"Roro!" Hisui began to call out.

Without skipping a beat, Rosie set the garlic bread in the oven and closed the lid, "They'll be here in twenty minutes, Hisui. Try watching some cartoons."

"No." Hisui winced as he slowly slid down dramatically to the ground.

Rosie started to sigh, she loves her little brother to death but sometimes he can be a handful. She is just grateful that Hisui hasn't gone through the terrible twos. Just as a precautionary measure, Rosie started to knock on the table and went over to pick up the three year old off the ground.

She adjusted him in her arms and held him close.

"Alright, what do you want to do then? Watch a movie?" Rosie asked.

Hisui pouted again, "No."

"How about we draw for a bit?"

"No."

"Do you want to play with your blocks?" Rosie continued with the questions.

"Nope." Hisui declined.

Not wanting to keep the word no, Rosie decides to ask him the one question that he can't refuse.

"Do you want to play ninjas?" Rosie smiled.

The little boy squealed excitedly as he was looking forward to playing the modified game of hide and seek. The game was created by Rosie about a few months ago whenever she was babysitting Hisui alone at home. It's basically like hide and seek but there's a bit of a catch. Whenever Rosie and Hisui are playing, they play in the dark with flashlights. The hider finds a spot to hide in while it's dark and they can maneuver around with a flashlight while the seeker waits for a minute to pass. Once the hider finds a spot, they hide until they see the seeker. If the seeker doesn't find them in their hiding spot and moves onto a different location then the hider can move to another spot. Just as long as they keep quiet and are stealthy like ninjas then it's allowed. It's a great way for the kids to work on their stealth and keep themselves quiet while on the move. Rosie does go easy on her little brother but recently, Hisui has been better with being light on his feet.

"Remember the rules, Hisui, don't go into mom and dad's room, or lab, or office. Don't go into anything that can hurt you, like the washer, or dryer, or anywhere in the kitchen. Got it?" Rosie asked.

Hisui nodded eagerly and squirmed around to free himself. The teenager set the toddler down as he hurried to find the flashlights. Rosie went to turn off the stove and oven to make sure nothing burns while they're playing. She went upstairs to turn off the lights and called out, "Upstairs are clear! Gizmo! If mom and dad are here, then bark."

"Woof!" Gizmo said as he went to his doggy bed and stayed there as it was close to the door.

Hisui toddled back to the living room room and then heard the familiar jet that belongs to their parents. "Mommy and daddy are home!" Hisui cheered and dropped the flashlights to hurry to the back door.

Hearing that, Rosie dashed down the stairs and scooped up Hisui.

"Woah woah woah! Remember our family rule, don't open the door unless you have someone check who it is first." Rosie sternly told him.

Hisui innocently smiled and Rosie peeked out through the window to see her parents were making their way to the door. She set Hisui down to open the door for their parents. Hisui immediately went to hug Rebecca's leg and laughed happily and Rebecca couldn't help but smile at her little boy.

Even after a long day, seeing her kids does help Rebecca to brighten her mood and give her a slight boost of energy to finish the day. She picked up her son and gave him a lot of kisses all over his cheek. The little boy giggled in delight as he loved getting attention from his mother.

Six watched them and couldn't help but feel more at ease. He could easily smile but he didn't just yet. He felt Rosie wrapped her arms around him as she gave him a hug.

"Welcome home. How was work, mom and dad?" Rosie softly said as she tried not to be loud.

"Same as usual." Six remarked as he didn't want to leak anymore information about what happened today.

Rebecca held Hisui and smiled at Rosie and added, "That's right. While we're on the topic, how was your day?"

The family made their way to the dinning room to set up the table and have the food ready. Rosie was going on about how she aced her chemistry test and Hisui rambled on about his day at daycare but he kept changing to different topics in the span of a minute. One moment, he was talking about recess at the park and then switched the topic about what happened during art and crafts time.

"That does sound like fun." Rebecca admitted as she grabbed a napkin to clean Hisui's face.

Rosie remembered something and told her parents, "Before I forget, Hisui's teacher wants to schedule a parent teacher conference with you two to see how much Hisui has progressed. I think Parent Teacher Night is on Thursday around 5?"

"We'll make sure our schedules are open at that time. Don't think we'll forget about you. While we're at your school, we'll meet with your teachers to see how you're doing." Rebecca reassures her daughter but Rosie doesn't look at ease with the news.

Six knew why their daughter wasn't thrilled with the news and the corner of his lip twitched upwards slightly. His wife has a way to talk to Rosie's teacher if they have a disagreement with her education. The last time they went to a Parent Teacher Night, Rebecca and Rosie's biology teacher were in a disagreement about a topic and it was amusing for Six to watch the ordeal happen.

Rosie gave her father a look as if warning him to not let the same incident happen again. He grinned and continued to eat his dinner as if he didn't notice the look.

'I shouldn't have said anything.' Rosie miserably thought to herself.

~Meanwhile at the Abysus~

Providence was already wrapping things up at the Abysus after they closely monitored the area. Calan was leading the large group of agents through the abandoned area that is left of the Abysus. Not much remains besides the dead trees and the castle is nothing but rumbled.

After the whole world was cured of Nanites many years ago, everyone wondered what would be the fate of the Bug Jar and Abysus. Since there were no longer any Nanites, those locations are finally free and accessible for everyone to enter in and out. The Bug Jar was restored back to what it was before and there were now people living there. However, the Abysus remains untouched after all these years because of Van Kleiss making it inaccessible until his death about sixteen or seventeen years ago.

"Rex! Everything's all clear now. We should be heading back." Calan called out when he noticed Rex staring at something from a distance.

Rex thought he saw something or should he say someone. Not wanting to alarm the group, Rex told them to head on back to the base while he heads home to his family. However, Rex was planning on exploring the Abysus for a bit before he heads home.

Something in him was telling him to look around for something. But what?

He summoned his Rex ride and drove around Van Kleiss' castle to see if he could find anything. The only problem is that there wasn't much of anything for him to find. But then again, what was Rex even looking for in the first place?

"Van Kleiss. Just what are you planning?" Rex thought to himself as he stopped the Rex ride. He stared at the castle one more time before he summoned his Boogie Pack to start flying home right now.

Just as he left, a young woman slowly creep out from a boulder as her long black hair was covering her face. She watched Rex leave before she opened a red portal and walked through it.

"Did he see you Breach?" A young man with short black hair that has a white streak on his bangs asked as he was holding an EVO that looks like a modified bat on his arm. There was a large scar running down from his right jawline to his neck. He looked to be around 16/17 years old. He may be young but he seems to have seen some things that normal kids shouldn't be witnessing.

"He didn't. But he does suspect something." Breach admitted and went to sit down on a worn out bean bag chair.

The young man started to groan in misery as he let the EVO bat fly away. He got up and paced around the room that they were in. It wasn't much but it was a decent shelter for everyone to rest for the time being.

"I think you should trust Rex. He's not a bad person Zane, in fact, you remind me of him." Breach whispered to the young boy.

Zane gave her a look as he crossed his arms and said, "Maybe he is a nice guy but I don't trust Providence at all. Some of the people that are with us told me that people from Providence were the ones experimenting on them. If Providence can't detect the rotten ones in their facilities, then how can I trust them?"

Seeing that he has a point, Breach decides to leave the room to check on Avalon, Zane's older sister. She can only guess that she was resting for the time being. Zane stepped aside from the door for Breach to leave and he stayed in the room that he was in. The Abysus was a perfect place for his group to stay in but Ava's abilities accidentally cause the dead Nanites to activate again. He wasn't sure why they're going out of control lately but he'll find a way to help her even if it kills him. Could there be a chance that his father could be back? If so, then that could be bad on both his end and Providence's.

Zane walked out and headed out of the abandoned town that Breach miraculously found. It was located in Mexico and the town was miles away from civilization. Sure the area wasn't nice but it will do for the time being. Until they can officially find something permanent for him and his EVO friends.

He watched as Skalamander was on patrol to see if there were any threats approaching the town from the outskirts. Zane spotted the EVO creatures roaming freely around the town and some EVOs that seemed more humanoid or had nanite abilities were busy trying to keep themselves busy. Some of the people range from old to young children. The ones that were children made Zane's stomach twist to knots. But he was relieved to see that the kids were playing and enjoying themselves.

Suddenly, Zane heard Biowulf say, "What are your orders for now Zane?"

"For the time being, let the people know to lay low and to NOT do anything that will draw attention. Inform them the same curfew applies here as well, stay inside after dark. Tell Skalamander that I will handle patrol tonight. As for you, keep an eye on Ava. If you see her having a strong Nanite surge again, then inform Breach to take her somewhere to let the surge out. Make sure it's not anywhere here. But that will be all. Just get some rest." Zane said as he walked back inside.

Biowulf will admit this, neither of Van Kleiss' offspring inherit anything from him besides their hair. They must have inherited a lot of things from their mother. He will say that Zane seems to be a worthy leader for the Pack to follow. But he wonders how much more can Zane handle with the burdens he has on his shoulders before he breaks? Or if Van Kleiss does return, will Zane be ready to fight off his own father? Only time could tell.

Meanwhile, inside one of the rooms. Breach was busy brushing Ava's long black hair as she was sitting on her bed. Breach was going on how Ava has such pretty hair but the young woman didn't seem to be paying attention to what she was saying. It was almost as if she was lost in her thoughts.

Ava closed her eyes to rest for a second but at the palm of her hands, a slight spark appeared and that didn't indicate anything good.

Thank you for reading! I hope you guys enjoyed the story and I will try to start the next chapter but I will be taking my time with it and want to at least make the chapters lengthy. I might think about putting some info on each oc in my bio to make it easier for people to know more about them. So I might do that later. Please review and let me know what you think and I hope you everyone has a great New Years!
