Sick baby

'Why is nobody doing anything? My son is in there dying and you all are sitting out here?' Draco growled as he walked out to the back patio to find the group of people talking.

'Draco Malfoy, you can shove your aristocratic attitude up your arse. We are waiting for more help. I have done everything I know how. I have pulled every person I know into help. We are waiting for my last chance to come thru with his ideas, but if you don't think I've done enough I think I will just leave and stop wasting my time.' as Hermione grabbed up her bag. 'I will leave all of my notes for the next person.'

'No, you will not go, we need your expertise and that of your colleagues.' Lucius snarled at Draco. 'My son has… lost sight of…'

'I haven't lost sight. I'm losing my son and no one can… comprehend the pain.' Draco snarled.

'Draco you are not the only one in this room who is in pain… I left my parents in Australia… parents who don't even know who I am. I spent 6 months looking for them, 3 months trying to put their memories back…' Hermione snarled in Draco's face before storming out, everybody looked around.

'Hermione wiped their memories before the war and sent them to Australia, to protect them from death eaters.' Harry looked at Draco. 'So, she has… basically lost her parents last week and then was called here to help you Draco, she hasn't even had time to mourn them properly yet.' as Harry turned to follow Hermione out of the room.

'Well Draco you better hope she changes her mind and decides to help Scorpius.' Lucius snarled at his son as he too turned to go find Hermione. 'Hermione, I'm so sorry to hear about your parents is there anything I can do? Bring them back here and get the best mind healers?'

'No but thank you for offering. I had the best, but I was so good in my spell work, there was nothing they could do.' Hermione wiped a tear away as a house-elf appeared.

'Master there is a guest for Ms. Granger at the front gate.'

'Please bring them right in, please.' Within seconds a small Chinese wizard appeared in the hallway.

'Mr. Kohashie,' as Hermione ran to hug him. 'I was only expecting a note in return.'

'Well, I couldn't pass up the chance to see you again and to see if I could help the child.' Mr. Kohashie beamed. 'Can I review your notes and examine the baby?'

'Of course, let's go onto the library.' as the group moved thru the halls. Notes read, baby examined.

'Can I get everybody to give a drop of blood on the glass slides?' as a small box appeared on the table.

'Why?' Draco asked.

'Well, we might be able to help with a blood transfusion.' Kohashie spoke as he readied his tools.

'Of course, I should have thought of that.' Hermione slapped her forehead.

'Blood transfusion?' Draco screeched. 'Take his blood out and give Scorpius new blood?'

'Yes.' Kohashie spoke as he grabbed Draco's hand and extracted a drop of blood and then moved onto the next person in line.

'But won't that kill him?' Draco screeched again.

'But Draco he is going to die if we don't do anything.' Astoria spoke as she snuggled Scorpius to her chest. 'So, move over so he can take some blood.' Kohashie poked the baby's foot to get three drops of blood. Then placing the slide in front of the slides that were lined up on the table. He chanted a charm as he moved it down the line, the 7th slide danced in place, he pulled that one forward and moved on down the line. The 14th one also jiggled to be place next to the first one. Kohashie placed the two slides out in front and re did the charm and got the same results.

'Who is number 14?' Harry stepped forward. 'Ah Mr. Potter you are a match. 'Who is number 7?' as Hermione stepped forward. 'Well then you are the best batch for this next procedure.'

'Them?' Draco exclaimed.

'What my mudblood and his halfblood not good enough for your son?' Hermione snarled.

'No.' back peddling his doubt. 'But why won't blood replenish potion work?' Draco asked.

'It just adds what you already have and what he has is bad so we need new blood to hopefully fix his blood and if this helps, we might not have to do surgery. Ms. Granger would you be willing?' as he looked over to her. 'Hopefully he just needs one maybe two bags of blood, but we might need marrow at a later date. I would take some marrow out of here.' pointing to her leg. 'And put it back into his leg, if this transfusion doesn't work.'

'Yes, of course I would donate blood and marrow gladly.' Hermine smiled as she rolled up her sleeve.

'Mr. Kohashie this is safe?' Lucius asked.

'Yes, this is a muggle procedure that has been done for many years. Thank you, Hermione.' as he poked her with a needle, collecting two pints of blood. 'Now please bring the baby over here, Draco please open your shirt the baby will need the extra body heat.'

'You want me too…do what?' Draco questioned.

'Oh, Draco shove over.' As Astoria elbowed her husband and ripped her shirt open. 'I want my baby to live.' She got comfortable on the nearest sofa with Narcissa's help. Mr. Kohashie placed two needles in the small baby's arms placing an empty bag on one and the full bag on the other.

'I have stupefied him, so he won't rip out the needles. This will take some time so if you need anything just ask and I will get it for you miss.' As he checked everything was running correctly.

'No Mr. Kohashie, her husband will get it, dear sweet Astoria has not once questioned Hermione or you of your efforts to save her son. Do you hear me Draco?' Lucius snarled at Draco.

'Yes, sir.' As they all watched the dark blood leave the small body and the fresh bright red blood enter his tiny arm.

Hours later.

'Well, I think we are done, as the stuff coming out now has some color.' Kohashie smiled. 'Now to reverse the stupefy.' With the wave of his wand, the baby began to cry.

'Oh, Draco I don't remember the last time he cried like this.' Astoria cried.

'Does this mean he is better?' Lucius ran over to try to comfort his grandson.

'Yes, it does. I will need to do weekly test and we might need to do this.' pointing to the needles and bags of blood. 'A few more times and not need to do surgery.'

'Hermione, I owe you the world, just let me know what you want.' Lucius smiled as he turned to leave the room.

'Yes, anything Granger. I'm sorry I doubted you.' Draco cried as he rubbed his son's back. Lucius returned a little bit later to drop bags in front of every person in the room.

'This is a small token of our appreciation for all of the work you have done over the last week.' Lucius smiled.

'This is not necessary, but I would like permission to write this up as a paper for future cases.' Kohashie asked.

'Of course, you may, and this should at least pay for your expenses and future research.' Lucius spoke, Kohashie realizing having the research being paid for would be nice, so he conceded and accepted the bag of coins. 'May I examine him one last time?'

'Of course.' As Astoria handed the now gurgling baby over.

'Hi little man, on just a few hours you went from deaths door to a happy little tyke.' as he waved his wand, showing all of the results to all in the room to receive cheers. 'Fantastic, well if these results stay the same, he is good to go, but we need to still keep a close eye on him.' all in the room nodded.

'So, muggle transfusions might be the cure to blood curses' Lucius asked.

'In some cases, yes, but we still need to do more research.' Hermione spoke to cheers.

'Well then I will have all of my third-floor research team help.' Lucius told the room, getting an even louder cheer, even little Scorpius cheered.
