'Victor? You made it!' as Hermione hugged him.

'Of course, I would come to see my Miya.' He picked her up and spun her around.

'What are you doing here?' Ron growled.

'Ronald… he was invited by Fleur.'

'Mum and Da told me to tell you thank you.'

'Why would his parents…?' Ron started but was cut short.

'We met up in Paris last summer and went to a quidditch game,' turning back to Victor. 'Dad absolutely loved watching the game.'

'But you hate quidditch…' Ron whined.

'Yes, when YOU spend the whole-time talking stats. Victor and his Da spent time explaining the moves and plays.'

'Hey where is your accent?' Ron asked.

'Our Miya found a spell that fixes that.' Victor smiled at Hermione.

'So how much time have you spent together?' Ron snarled.

'Well, we write every week and last summer we spent a couple of weeks in Paris.'

'But we…' Ron started.

'Ronald we are friends, and you are dating Lavender…' Hermione snarled the last.

'No, I'm not.' He snarled back.

'Oh, did she dump you again?'

'Miya would you dance with me?' Victor asked as the music started.

'I would love to.' as they left for the dance floor. 'Victor, I won't be able to write you this year.'

'Why?'

'Well, we have a mission to do and I'm not sure if it will be safe or if owls will be able to find us.'

'That crazy headmaster sending you?' Hermione nodded. 'I will come and help.'

'No, it is for the three of us to do… if we complete it Harry will be able to kill, he-must-not-be-named.' seeing the disappointed look on Victor's face. 'I'm sorry but as soon as we get back I will…' Victor interrupted her.

'You can still write me. Put it in a book and give it to me when you get back and I will do the same.' Hermione's eyes lit up. 'Tell me about your adventure each day. It will help your anxiety because I know you can't talk to those two dunderheads.' Hermione started to argue but stopped realizing the truth.

'I will, thank you. I will charm it so only you can open it if anything happens to me.'

'Miya what are you going to be doing?' Victor gruffed.

'Just a treasure hunt we will be safe.' She said hoping it was the truth.

'Oh, I wanted to ask you… when you turned sixteen did a faint soulmate tattoo show up here?' pointing to her left chest area. She was getting ready to answer but a graceful silver lynx landed lightly in the middle of the marquee. The Patronus's mouth opened wide, and it spoke in the loud, deep, slow voice of Kingsley Shacklebolt.

"The Ministry has fallen. Scrimgeour is dead. They are coming."

'I'm sorry Victor we need to go.' Hermione started searching the crowd for Harry and Ron.

'Be safe, write in the book and come back to me.' Victor growled. 'You two take care of her and bring her back to me.' as Harry and Ron ran up to them.

'We will.' Harry said as they grabbed hands and apparated out.

V, I'm so sorry for leaving that way but we needed to… I hope you were able to get to safety too. H

~o~

H, made it home safe. Please be safe. V

~o~

V, I do have a very faint mark on my chest. Can't really tell what it is yet. So, will it tell me who my soulmate is? Do you have one yet? Do you know who yours is yet? H

~o~

H, back to the question I asked before you left, I have a book tattoo on my chest. I'm hoping you have something that signifies me. V

~o~

Oh V, this is so hard. Ron has never been without food or a warm bed, all he does is whine on and on. I'm trying my best with what we can find. He doesn't even help look for food. H

~o~

H, I hope everything is going well for you. The news around here is bleak, those death eaters are out looking for you three. Please be safe. V

~o~

V, Ron has left us. He's not happy we haven't found all of the treasures yet. Harry and I have an idea where to find one. So, we should be home soon. H

'What are you doing here.' Ron spat as he came into Hermione's hospital room.

'I came as soon as I heard she was home.' Victor snarled. 'You said you would keep her safe. How is this safe?' as he motioned to Hermione's prone body.

'We did the best we could.' Harry spoke.

'I know you did. But he didn't.' as he pointed to Ron. 'I've read her letters… you are a mummies boy… you whined on about the food and the beds? And you left them in the woods?' as the doors opened and the rest of the Weasley clan walked in unnoticed.

'I… how did you find out?' Ron snarled.

'I read her letters. She told me everything.' He held up the book.

'The necklace was doing my head in… I couldn't handle it anymore.' Ron whined.

'So, you left it to them? Now instead of 8 hours wearing it they now had to wear it for 12 hours? And don't you think it did their heads in?' Victor got right up in Ron's face. 'They continued on while you went home to get fed up? And sleep in a nice warm bed?' Victor snarled.

'Ronald, you did what?' Molly screeched. 'You left them all alone?' Ron slumped in the neatest chair.

~o~

'Victor, you're here?' Hermione whispered. Victor had sat by Hermione bed for days while she recovered. He had read and reread her diary. He knew it front to back and back to front. He was proud of her.

'Of course, I'm here. Where else would I be?' as he got her a drink. 'I've read your diary. I'm so proud of you.' as he kissed her forehead and pulled her into a hug.

'Oh, Victor, it was so hard. Snatcher caught us… Bellatrix gave me this…' as she held up her arm.

'Yes, I know. Harry filled me in. I'm so sorry I wasn't there to help you.' She soon fell back to sleep in Victor's arms.

'So do you have a mark?' Hermione asked.

'Yes, it is a book. Do you have one?'

'Yes, it's a… ' as she pulled up her shirt. 'Snitch, so does that mean we are soulmates?' Victor nodded, as Ron and Harry walked in.

'You can't be, she's, my girlfriend.' Ron bellowed.

'She might forgive you for being a prat and for leaving them, but you will never be her boyfriend. She can't trust you not to leave her again.' Victor's eyebrow shot up.

'You can't make that decision that is for Hermione to make.' Ron grinned.

'Ron, Victor is right. I can't trust you. You will always be my friend, but you will never be anything more.' Ron's jaw dropped at the news.

'But… I came back.' he whined.

'Only because you felt bad.' Victor snarled.
