"What is hate? Is it a curse? Is it pain? Yes...but It's also a toxic unpleasant feeling, deep within you. A feeling that's so unhealthy..."
"That's the second time you've spoken out of turn, Miss Granger... Five more points from Gryffindor for being an insufferable know-it-all." Professor Snape said.
"Go to hell." Hermione replied angrily as she got back to work, Harry gasped beside her, and Ron gasped too and got back to work.
Snape glared at Hermione as the bell rang for everybody to head to lunch. Hermione got up to leave...
"Sit down, Miss Granger." Professor Snape said, his voice filled with contempt.
"But-" Hermione tried to say, but Snape's gaze made her sit back down.
Seconds passed as Hermione worked at her desk; Snape came over and glared down at the Muggle-born witch. Hermione looked up and met his piercing glare... she almost froze when he spoke.
"Do you think you can just talk to me like that, without any consequences Miss Granger?" Professor Snape asked.
"You were rude to me first..Professor so you can't get mad." Hermione repiled.
Snape almost smacked Hermione, but restrained himself. He knew that he would get into trouble if he hit her or even touched her, so he walked towards the door.
"Coward," Hermione said.
"Take it back." Professor Snape hissed, looking over his shoulder.
Hermione scoffed and went back to work at her desk. Snape approached silently, with a cruel smirk on his lips... He stopped in front of Hermione's desk and placed his hands on it.
"..." Hermione looked up and froze as her eyes went huge.
"Take it back." Professor Snape told her.
Hermione wanted to run, but Snape would easily catch her, so she decided to stay put.
"..." Hermione grinded her teeth as her eyes filled with fear.
"Why are you being quiet, Miss Granger...scared?" Professor Snape asked mockingly as he leaned towards her.
Hermione wanted to run so badly, but she just couldn't risk it. Snape was watching her like a snake, waiting for its prey to start running... so it could slitter after it and wait until its prey got tired to strike...
"Take it back." Professor snape repeated.
"..." Hermione looked down, afraid.
Snapes smirk turned into a cruel grin and he leaned closer to Hermione. She looked back up at Snape and noticed how close he was. So close that she could feel his breath blowing onto her face. It smelled like peppermint toothpaste, but still, Hermione was scared.
"Last chance, take it back." Professor Snape warned with a cruel grin still.
"Or what?" Hermione asked, her voice filled with fear.
Snape didn't lean closer and Hermione was thankful for that, but then Snape spoke.
"Or we'll duel." Professor Snape repiled.
"..." Hermione's eyes went huge...
