"Hey, Rein!"

I turned my head to look at the person who called me, and saw no other than my boss.

"Mr. Klein." I said as I addressed him.

"Sorry to bother you while you're on your break. But would you mind finishing the documents we needed for our new project.. Hans, who was assigned to finish the documents, is currently sick.." Mr. Klein said.

"No, I'll be right to it after my break sir." I said in a monotone voice.

"Thanks, Rein! You're a lifesaver! Maybe tomorrow I'll be promoting you!" He said, overjoyed.

I just nodded my head and went back to my own business.

"Finally... It's finished.." I said as I stretched my arms up and yawned.

I then looked over to my shoulder to see what time it is already.

"10:17 PM..?!" I looked at the time in shocked as I hurriedly pack my things up.

"Shit..! I'm going to miss the train..!" I said to myself as I ran out of the building.

By the time I got to the train station, it was already 10:32. Meaning, I missed my ride.

I sat down on one of the benches and groaned inwardly.

I sat there for about half an hour I think, until I got bored.

I then looked towards my phone and saw it was now 11:06 PM.

Guess I'll just walk then...

I thought as I stood up from the bench.

I continued to walk in the empty dark streets, alone.

However, I don't mind being alone in dark areas, in fact I love the feeling of it.

As I continued to walk, I saw a person's figure walking behind me.

I stopped and turned around to look for the person but saw nothing.

But when I turned my eyes to look at the mirror, hanging on the pose.

I could clearly see the person's figure.

I then felt something churned on my stomach, a bad feeling rising, I quickly ran away from the scene.

However, when I did so, i could hear loud footsteps, a feeling of fast movements coming behind me.

I then forced my legs to ran faster, until eventually, I arrived at my apartment.

I quickly got inside and ran up to the stairs, quickly taking my keys out as I heard the door opening in the bottom floor.

I then put my key on the keyhole, and twisted it, hearing a loud click.

I quickly got inside and locked the door as i sat down on the floor panting heavily from running so fast.

"What the hell..." I said to myself as I layed my back on to the floor.

After laying there for half an hour, I forced myself to get up.

I then dragged myself to the bathroom seeing i need to bath myself after being sweaty from the running.

I got out of the bathroom, with a towel covering the bottom area.

When I tried to reach out for my clothes, I heard the doorbell ring.

I stopped my movements, and turned my head to look at the door.

Who would be up at this hour...?

As I thought about this sentence, my blood went cold after remembering what happened earlier.

My thoughts were soon cut off, when the doorbell rang again but this time, a familiar voice came with it.

"Hey, Rein! When are you going to let me in?" A male's voice came right through the door.

When I heard his familiar voice, a sigh of relief escaped from my mouth.

I then approached the door and unlocked it, opening up to see a familiar face.

"Filo.. Sorry if my room's a mess, I forgot to clean yesterday." I said.

"No, it's alright." He said as he waved his hand dismissively.

I then step aside to let him in.

"Anyways, why are you here so late at night..?" I said as grabbed out my clothes.

"Mm..nothing, I couldn't sleep so I went to see you, knowing you'll still be awake at this hour." He said as he looked at the pictures of me and him when we were young.

I nodded at his words while I dressed up.

When I finished dressing up, I turned towards him.

"Hm..alright, but are you staying here for the night?" I asked him and he nodded.

"Alright, I'm just going to get some sleeping bags." I said as I went towards my bedroom.

When I finally got me and Filo some sleeping bags, I went back to the living room to see no one was there.

I dropped the sleeping bags carefully on the floor and looked around hoping I would find him.

"Filo?" I said his name but received no answers.

I then heard a sound coming from the kitchen.

What is he doing in the kitchen...?

I thought as I walked in the kitchen.

I stopped on my tracks, when I saw him holding a kitchen knife, examining it.

"Filo?" I said, and he snapped out from his daze.

"H-huh..? Oh, Rein..! Sorry I didn't notice you were there..hehe.." He laughed nervously, as he put the kitchen knife on the table.

"Okay...but, are you gonna sleep now? I already brought the sleeping bags.." I said, while I felt a small tug on my stomach, saying something's not feeling right.

"Sure, I'll be right there..!" He said and i nodded my head at him.

I then went back to the living, feeling a bit not good actually.

I thought about the scene of him holding the knife, while I also saw a dangerous glint in his eyes.

I then snapped out from my thoughts, when I realized I finally finished preparing our sleeping bags.

I then thought about calling Filo, but the bad feeling in my stomach came back, but I shook those feelings off.

I got back in the kitchen to see Filo wasn't there, I was about to call him when I heard his voice behind me.

But...the tone in his voice was completely different than the one I'm used to hearing. It somehow..hold a dangerous and murderous tone..

"Rein..don't even think about turning around.." He said, and the tone of his voice brought shivers down to my spine.

"Filo, what's the meaning of this?" I said, composing myself.

"This isn't funny, if this is another stupid prank of yours, I'll be kicking you out from my apartment." I said angrily.

"Shut up!" He yelled out, but not too loudly for everyone who can hear him in the building.

I shut my lips tight, as I felt his eyes glaring at the back of my head.

"You...you..!" He said, as he seethed in anger.

"Me..?" I said, quite confused.

"Yes you..! You took everything away from me!" He shouted as he punch the poor innocent wall.

I... I took everything away from you..?

I looked down at the floor in confusion.

"I took everything away from you...?" I repeated.

"Yes! Yes, you did!" He shouted.

"How?" I said.

"Don't act like you don't know anything!"

"You took away the people I've loved!"

"Took away the respect that should've been mine!"

"Took away my friends!"

"Took away my happiness!"

"And took away everything else that should've been rightfully mine!" He yelled as he fall down on the floor, probably crying.

I then suddenly felt bad for him, but it wasn't my fault. I wasn't in the fault.

"I have always been in your shadow for many years..comparing me with you, pitying me, and making fun of me.." He said as I felt the tone of his voice was completely alienated.

"And I've always wanted to find an opportunity to do this, but... You're always kind to me, welcoming me, taking care of me, helping me whenever I made something stupid, standing up for me, loving me for who I am, never judging me, and..." He said and I felt my self crying at his words. "Filo.."

"But..those are also the reasons why I hate you.." He said.

"I'm sorry, Rein.." He said, and with that. I felt a seething pain in my back, as I look down. I could see the tip of the knife coming out from my right rib.

"I'm sorry.." I heard him say.

I turned around slowly to look at him, but he wasn't expecting the reaction I would be giving him.

Instead of betrayal, resentment, and hurt.

I look at him with a smile, despite the tears coming out, I still gave him a sincere smile.

"Why..? Why are you still smiling like that?!" He yelled out as he also cried.

"Because.. Whenever.. I-i'm..with you, I could only smile to you.." I said as he bit his lips.

"It's not fair..." He said.

"Life's..not fair.." I said as I clutched on my rib from the sheer pain.

"..."

"H-hey..Filo.." I called out to him and he looked towards me with a hurt and regret expression.

"Let's..p-play a game.."

"W-what..?"

I looked at him and smiled once more.

"W-we'll.. count..f-from 1 to 5, h-hmm..?" I said as he nodded.

"1"

"2"

"3"

"4"

"5" And with that, I closed my eyes and collapsed down to Filo.

"..Rein..?" Filo called out but no one answered.

"R-rein...?" Again, he called out.

"H-hey, Rein..." Filo said in panic as he began to shake Rein's body.

He continued to shake him until he finally accepted the fact that Rein is dead, killed by his own hands.

"Rein.."

He then carefully turned Rein around to see his face, only to see Rein with a smile.

"Y-you i-idiot.." Filo said as his tears began crowd his eyes.

"I..really ha-...love you.." Filo said as he buried his face into the man's neck as he sobbed silently.
