Chapter 1: Sero Caught You Like A Flu
University Class had just ended for each student to head back to their dorm rooms, or head out to hang out with their friends. Sero just walked out of his class as he stretched. His tattoos were showing off on his arms and some on his stomach. His long black messy hair was kinda covered by his gray beanie and his snake bites were shining as he stood up. You noticed that his black nail polish was chipped off a bit as Sero was wearing black fingerless gloves and some black leather spiked bracelets. Sero is now twenty one years old at University as he's been taking long breaks from hero work. You've noticed that Sero caught you staring at him as he walked up to you with a huge smile on his face.
"Hey. I remember seeing you a lot more often. How are you?" Sero asked you as he gave you a really nice smile and a small blushed.
You blushed and looked away a bit. Sero put his hand on your shoulder as you looked at him back.
"I'm doing good." You said as you gulped. "I was just heading back to my dorm to get a few things and I'm heading to get something to snack on." You said as you looked Sero into his eyes.
"You are? Hey me too! Why don't we go together?" Sero asked you as you blushed.
"Sure! Okay!" You said very happily but you were feeling really nervous as you were going out alone with a boy.
Sero and you walked to your dorm room to get your purse, bag, wallet, and other things that you'll need. Sero smiled as he stood in the hall.
"I'll just stay here and wait for you, alright?" Sero said as he gave you the peace sign as you looked at him and nodded.
You walked inside your dorm room to put away your college work and grabbed the stuff that you'll need for your date with Sero. Sero leaned against the wall as he waved at his friends, having a small chat with them. Sero wasn't too interested in what Kaminari and Mineta were talking about as Sero kinda cringed at their conversation about trying to peek at some girls and see how they can get laid tonight. Sero rolled his eyes at them as they were just laughing.
You came out of your dorm room as you locked your door and turned back to Sero. Sero looked at you as he gave you a smile and held out his hand to you. You looked at it as you were about to grab it but Mineta did a wolf whistle.
"Is this the student you're gonna try and sleep with, Sero? They had a pretty rough past so I'll be careful if I were you." Mineta said as he smirked and high-fived Kaminari.
Sero looked at him and gave his two friends a death glare. Kaminari and Mineta both freeze up as they have never seen Sero angry at them before. Then they just walked off. Not wanting to cause any trouble. Sero sighed as he looked back at you.
"I'm sorry about them. I really thought they'll grow out of their weirdness but I guess it's with them forever. Please don't mind them. I'll have a talk with them later on. Anywho, are you ready to go?" Sero asked as he got his smile back on his face.
You nodded as you have never felt so protected and respected like that by a boy alone. You held onto his hand and you two walked out of university to get something to eat. Sero chuckled at the cold air and saw some birds just flying in the sky as some landed on the trees as some flew away. You were very quiet as you were thinking about what Mineta said. You sighed as it caught Sero's attention.
"Hey, are you okay? You've been quiet since we walked out of our dorm rooms. Are you not hungry?" Sero asked you as you looked at him and shook your head.
"Umm, if I tell you about me, you might not like me anymore…and I really do like you Sero. I do. But what your friend said really upsetted me." You said as you looked away and sniffled.
Sero looked around to find a place to go to that was a little more quiet and private. He grabbed your hand and took you somewhere quiet and private. Sero made sure no one saw you guys as he looked at you.
"Vent to me. I'm here to listen." Sero said as he put his hands on your shoulders as he was very serious.
You sighed as you slowly lifted up your hoodie sleeve. There were some old and a month old scars on your wrist. Sero gasped as he looked at you.
"Please don't be mad, but I did have a rough time growing up. My parents are…..they're both divorced because my dad was a gang baby, doing drugs, stealing from banks, stores, and became a villain. My mom was a lawyer and became a hero. So they don't get along very well. And while that was happening, everyone knew who my parents were and bullied me non stop till we graduated from high school. I cut myself because I was tired of who I was and how my situation with my parents were. I hate being reminded that I'm a person with a gang baby dad and a hero mom. I'm a person who has powers and I use them for good to fight off villains." You explained to Sero as you began to tear up.
Sero frowned as he hugged you. Your eyes widened as you tried to pull away but Sero refused to let you go.
"It's not your fault though. Your parents had a lot of disagreements and weren't communicating very well. You decided to use your quirk for good and I'm glad you are. Some people will use their quirks for evil and hurt others. You chose the right path. I won't ever judge you for what you've gone through. You have a story and I have heard your voice." Sero said as he hugged you a little tighter.
You cried on his shoulder as you stood on your tippy toes. Sero looked at you and gave you a warm smile.
"Come on, let's go inside to get warmed up and eat something. It's okay. I'm glad you told me, just remember that your past doesn't define you." Sero said as he whipped your tears away and you two walked inside the fast food place.
You two ordered your food as you've both waited till your numbers were called as you both got your orders and found an empty booth to sit as you two gave each other a smile.
"What's your quirk? I don't think I've ever seen you use it before." Sero asked as he smiled.
"It's Electricity. I control anything that has to do with static and technology." You told him as you gave him a warm smile.
"I see! Well that's pretty neat." Sero said as he chuckled.
"Yours is tape right? I remember seeing you on TV a lot. Cellophane?" You said as Sero blushed.
"That'll be me. What's your hero name?" Sero asked you as he took a sip from his soda.
"Shock-a-wave. Believe it or not but my younger brother picked it out for me because he thought it was cute. So I went with it." You told him as you smiled.
"I love it, to be honest. It totally fits you. So after this would you like to go bowling or maybe catch a movie?" Sero asked you as he smiled.
"Of course! I love bowling. And I'm not sure what movie I wanna see but we can see what's playing, if not then we'll go bowling for a few hours then." You told him as Sero nodded in agreement.
"Deal! I like hanging out with you. I'm so glad we're finally talking to each other and just being two peas in a pod." Sero said as he laughed.
You laughed also as you gave him a warm smile. "Thank you. And I'm feeling much better now." You told him as Sero looked at you.
"That's good. And if you ever wanna vent to me, my dorm room is always open. Just knock and I'll be there to comfort you." Sero said as he gave you a kissy face.
You gave him back as you both giggled. "Thank you, Sero."
After the meal you two had eaten, you both went to the movies to see what's playing. Nothing interesting so you two headed bowling instead. You both paid as there was an empty spot that wasn't taken by so many people. You two put out your usernames, and began bowling for a few hours as the place closes around 11:30 pm. You both bowled till it was time to close as you two walked out and headed back to university.
"I had a lot of fun tonight, Sero. Thank you." You told him as you gave Sero a hug.
Sero blushed and hugged you back. "You're welcome. Well we have another day off tomorrow, wanna head back to bowling?" Sero asked you as he smiled at you.
"Yes of course! Oh and let's bring all of our friends too." You said very happily as Sero agrees.
"You got it then!" Sero said as you both walked in and headed inside to the dorm rooms.
You and Sero gave each other one last look as you two blew a kiss to each other, giggled, and headed inside your dorm rooms. But then you two both stopped at your door as you both sighed and looked at the doorknob and turned it. You both opened the door and looked at each other. Having a blush across your faces. Sero slowly approached you as you blushed and slowly walked up to him too.
"Can I give you a goodnight kiss, actually?" Sero asked you as he blushed. Holding your hand.
"Of course. I wanna give you a good night kiss, too." You said also as you looked up to him.
Sero looked at you into your eyes as he closed his eyes and you stood on your tippy toes and you both had shared a kiss. The kiss lasted for about ten seconds as you and Sero pulled back and looked at each other. The blush almost disappeared as Sero hugged you close to him.
"That was so amazingly cute, sugarplum. You are so adorable." Sero said as he whispered into your ear.
You giggled and kissed his cheek. "Thanks. I hope to have sweet dreams about you tonight, Sero.~ Now good night." You said to him as you twiddle your fingers at him and blew him a kiss as you walked back to your dorm room.
Sero's heart was pounding that he felt extremely happy and loved. He had red and black hearts flying all around him. He fainted but his friend, Kaminari caught him as he shook his head and chuckled.
"My guy, you really gotta get used to this." Kaminari told him as he smiled at Sero.
Sero looked at him and stood up, dusting himself off. "I know. They're really cute. I love them a lot. Anyways, get to bed you goof. We're going bowling tomorrow. You guys are welcome to come with us as long as you and Mineta don't make them feel uncomfortable." Sero said to his friend as he smiled at him.
"Alright. We promise. Thanks man." Both Kaminari and Sero did their friendship handshake as Kaminari walked off to his dorm room to head to bed.
Sero walked back into his as he looked at Sugarplum's door one last time and gave it a smile as he walked into his dorm room to head to bed.
