When they landed, they rented a car and Robin showed him to the church. She tried bracing herself for the ruins, but when they parked on the side street, she still could not prepare herself. Robin stared at it, the lucky few that came away from that battle were lucky that the whole church had not fallen on them. Slowly Robin got out, Amon stared at the church, seeing it in person was more real than the pictures he had seen. Amon got out and saw Robin pull her guns and go into the mostly demolished church.
"Robin!" Amon growled out, he ran after her with his gun at the ready. Robin was searching the rumble,
"Father, Father Juliano? Are you here?" Robin shouted, she quickly made it to his room but there was rumble everywhere inside. Robin closed her eyes, she mentally tried to make a list of everyone who she could call she opened her eyes, she might be able to find his address book since she was in his room. She carefully climbed over the rumble and started searching everything.
Robin came across a bible and found something stuck inside the pages as if it were a bookmark. She studied the necklace then skimmed over pages that were bookmarked. There were no clues, she wanted to take the necklace, so she closed the book back with the necklace in the same pages. Robin thought it might be an heirloom so she took the book with the necklace in place. She moved further down the hall, and spotted her room door open but the ceiling at some point had fallen in. Amon was scoping out the place,
~How in the hell did she make it out of here?~ Amon thought to himself. He found her in her old room, trying to look through the rumble.
"I can't find anything. He had an address book I thought somewhere." Robin explained.
"Did you check his room and your teammates rooms?" Amon asked,
"I checked his room, I only found this bible. I'll check the other room." Robin explained as she left her room. Amon watched her go through the hallway, his phone rang.
"Yeah, we are at the church now. No sign of him yet, Robin is looking for his address book. You did, where?" Amon asked his boss.
"What hospital?" Amon asked, Robin had overheard him, she came out of a room and stared at him.
"Alright I will tell her." Amon ending the call,
"The boss found him." Amon stated,
"I overheard you say hospital. What happened to him?" Robin asked,
"He had a heart attack." Amon explained,
"Is he alright? He's going to be alright, isn't he?" Robin asked.
"I don't know, come one, I'll take you to him." Amon explained, Robin followed him out. When they got to the main room of the church he abruptly stopped. Robin almost ran into him, she noticed what had stopped him in his tracks, bloodstains. There were large bloodstains on the 100-year-old floorboards. Robin knelt down and reached out with a shaking hand and touched the dried blood.
"No one bothered to clean it up." Robin mumbled, she was hit with memories of that awful battle. She fell back on her ass, he could tell she shook as she got on her knees and hands. Her head hung low, and he could already hear her sniffling.
"No." Robin mumbled as she grunted in pain and held her head,
"My guys…" Robin cried, Amon carefully got down and picked her up in his arms and grabbed the bible and walked away from the bloodstained floors and out to the car. Amon found his way to the hospital and parked the car.
"Robin, we are here." Amon stated,
"Hn." Robin replied as she slowly looked up at the hospital. She pulled the necklace out, she knew it was a locket, but she couldn't figure out how to open it. Slowly she got out of the car with the bible and the necklace and made her way to the front of their rented car, waiting on Amon. He could tell she was shaking, probably over the bloodstains on the floor. Amon came over and placed one of his hands to the small of her back and helped her inside,
"We are here to see Father Juliano." Amon stated,
"203." the nurse explained,
"Robin, are you okay?" another nurse asked,
"Hi, I just need to see him." Robin explained.
"Alright, go ahead, no rush." the nurse explained,
"Thanks." Robin stated softly, they made their way to the hallway. Amon could hear the nurses talking about how it was a miracle Robin had survived that battle. When they made it to the room Robin was hesitating going in. Amon stood back to wait until she was ready to enter, Robin's hand shook hard as she reached out for the knob, she shook her hand to try to stop shaking so bad. Finally, she opened the door, Amon walked in with her, Father Juliano was awake. Robin thought of how frail he looked laying there with machines all over the place,
"Robin, Mr. Amon." Father Juliano surprised,
"I couldn't find your." Robin mumbled out.
"I must have given you a fright." Juliano stated tiredly,
"I found your bible and the bookmark." Robin whispered. Juliano patted the bed, Robin laid the bible and the 'bookmark' on the bed.
"These items are not mine, they were your mother's." Juliano explained.
"I don't understand." Robin whispered,
"Inside the charm is a photo of your mother and your father." Juliano explained, he opened the locket for her,
"Never mind that, how are you feeling?" Robin asked,
"I am fine Robin. I need you to hear my words right now." Juliano spoke in a stern voice.
"No, you have had all this time to tell me, right now I need to take care of you." Robin explained,
"My younger cousin has been caring for me. Your mother…she was my daughter. You are my granddaughter, Robin." Juliano explained.
"W-What? W-Why… you never said anything about this until now." Robin stuttering, Amon stood looking out the window,
~He didn't tell her because he knew he was going to have to train her hard.~ Amon thought. Robin looked down at the photos in the charm. Tears started to slowly flow down her face,
"Did mom's power…it consumed her, didn't it?" Robin choked out,
"Yes, your mother and father died together, they couldn't bare to lose the other. Her powers consumed them both the night you were left with me." Juliano explained. Robin nodded,
"Why didn't you tell me you were my grandfather?" Robin asked as she looked up at him,
"With the way I had to train you, you needed a strong hand not a soft one. I never thought you would ever see me as family. I needed to train you and if you knew the truth it would have gotten in the way of training." Juliano explained. Robin stared at him and left the bible and the necklace on the bed and grabbed Amon's wrist and left the room.
"Robin." Amon called out, she was still pulling his wrist,
"Take me home." Robin demanded, Amon had heard everything that was said to her, but he pretended he hadn't.
"Alright." Amon said just to pacify her until he got her to a hotel room for the night.
