[Rain falls, and lightning flashes in the clouds.]
Baboons: [from offscreen] *scream*
[The camera pans down to reveal a tree barely clinging to the side of a cliff. Beshte struggles to hold the tree upright, while Kito, Bunga, and Fuli watch worriedly from nearby.]
Kito: Baboons, you gotta come down. It's not safe up there.
Baboon leader: We're dry up here. *whoops* [The baboon leader leans closer.] We'll come down when the rain stops.
Bunga: [Bunga spreads his arms wide in exasperation.] This guy's un-Bunga-lievable.[Bunga gestures at the baboon leader in exasperation.]
Fuli: [irritated] Oh, baboons.
Baboons: *whoop*
[The tree begins to slip off the cliff. Beshte strains to keep it from falling.]
Beshte: *grunts* Kito. The tree's gonna go, and I don't wanna go with it. *grunts*
[The tree's roots begin snapping. Two baboons hold each other fearfully.]
Baboons: *whimper*
Baboon leader: Calm down! As long as we stay dry, whoo-whoo, everything will be fine.
Ono: [Ono flies into the baboon leader's face. No, it won't. Your tree's about to fall off a cliff
Gumba's mother: [Gumba's mother drops onto the baboon leader's head. Gumba clings to her back.] *gasps* He's right. [Gumba's mother points.] Look!
[The tree begins to slip off the cliff.]
Baboons: *scream*
Kito: No! Stay on this side of the tree!
Beshte: *grunts* Can't hold it much longer. [Beshte slips closer to the cliff's edge. Rocks fall off the cliff and drop to the ground far below.] *grunts*
Ono: Hapana!
[The baboons disappear into the leaves of the tree.]
Baboons: *whoop*
Kito: I got to get him out of that tree. [yelling] Beshte! Think you can take a little more weight?
Beshte: *grunts* Sure. But whatever you're gonna do, do it fast.
Kito: [Kito turns to Bunga.] Bunga, climb up there and [Kito gestures with her head to the baboons.] scare those baboons down.
Bunga: With pleasure! [Bunga bounds toward the tree and climbs it.] "Zuka zama!"
Beshte: *grunts*
Bunga: [Bunga faces the baboons, who are in the branches above him.] Okay, baboonies, you can thank me later. [Bunga cracks his knuckles.] Ah. [Bunga turns and farts. A green cloud fills the leaves. The baboons flee the tree.]
Baboons: *whoop*
[The baboon leader and another baboon land on Fuli's back. A baboon starts rolling toward a cliff, but Kito lunges after it.]
Kito: I got you.
[Kito catches the baboon by its tail. Gumba's mother and her son fall, but Ono catches Gumba on his back.]
Baboons: *scream*
[Ono returns Gumba to his mother. In the tree, Bunga attempts to pull a baboon to safety, but the baboon clings stubbornly to the tree trunk.]
Bunga: Come on outta there, baboonie.
[Finally, Bunga pulls the baboon to safety. Beshte watches, then lets the tree fall off the cliff.]
Beshte: *grunts* [The tree lands on the ground far below. Beshte looks down on it from the cliff.] Whoa.
Fuli: [to the baboons on her back.] Oh. You can get off now.
Baboon leader: We'll get down... *whoops* When the rain stops.
[The baboon leader lifts his chin stubbornly. Fuli rolls her eyes.]
Fuli: Ugh. Baboons.
[The scene transitions. Bunga trudges through an open field. After a moment, he collapses on his back.]
Bunga: Phew! I'm beat.
Ono: [Ono lands on a nearby rock.] Oh. Don't get too comfortable. [Ono gestures at the sky, where gray storm clouds are forming.] There's bound to be another storm.
Fuli: [Fuli limps into view and collapses on her stomach.] Oh, another one? We're still cleaning up from the last one.
Beshte: [Beshte limps into view.] Hmm. Who knew a tree full of baboons would be so heavy? [Beshte collapses on his stomach] Ugh.
Kito: [Kito overlooks her slumbering teammates.] Okay, everybody, take a breather. You've earned it. [Kito bounds away. A butterfly struggles to escape a puddle of water. Kito's paw comes into frame, and she lifts the butterfly into the air. It begins to fly around her.] There you go, little guy. [The butterfly lands on Kito's nose.] *chuckles* [The butterfly flies off, and Kito watches it go.] You're welcome. [Kito turns.]
Birds: [from offscreen] *squawk*
[A flock of egrets flies away. The landscape is riddled with fallen trees and massive puddles.]
Kito: [from offscreen] Hevi kabisa! Storm's caused so much destruction. [Kito turns and strides off. She walks onto a rock and addresses some roiling gray clouds.] Grandfather?
[Several shafts of light shine from the clouds, then Mufasa's face appears.]
Mufasa: Yes, Kito. I'm here.
Kito: [Kito begins to pace back and forth.] I was thinking. The rains cause so many problems for the Pride Lands. What if I used the Roar [Kito smiles.] to blow the big rainstorms away?
Mufasa: *laughs* The rains are part of the Circle of Life, Kito. The Pride Lands will need that water for the dry season.
Kito:
[Kito scuffs uncertainly at the ground.] I guess. [Kito stands and looks up at Mufasa appealingly.] But it'd be a lot easier...
Mufasa: [sternly] Kito, the easy solution is not always the best solution.
Kito: Yes, Grandfather. [Kito strides away. There is a deep rumbling, and she looks up questioningly.] Huh? [Water rushes toward Beshte, Bunga, Fuli, and Ono, who are still asleep.] Oh, no [Kito bounds toward her friends.]
Beshte: *yawns*
[Beshte opens his mouth wide, and Ono, who is on his nose, falls into his mouth. Beshte's mouth snaps shut again.]
Ono: [muffled] Beshte! Let me out
Beshte: [Beshte opens his eyes.] Hmm?
[Beshte opens his mouth, and Ono flies free. He lands on Beshte's back and shakes himself dry of saliva.]
Ono: *sighs* [Ono lifts his wings.] It smells like fish in there.
Kito: [Kito runs up to her friends.] Guys, get up! Break's over!
Beshte: What's the kerbubble, Kito? [The Lion Guard turns to see the water rushing toward them.] Oh.
[The water rushes around Bunga's and Fuli's paws.]
Bunga and Fuli: *cough*
[The water rushes around Beshte's paws. Ono flinches from his place on Beshte's back.]
Ono: Ah.
[The water rushes around Kito's paws.]
Kito: *grunts*
[Beshte sits in a way that he blocks some of the water. Bunga and Fuli sit down in the area of dry land in front of Beshte.]
Fuli: What's going on? There's never been a river here before.
Kito: Ono! Take a look!
Ono: Affirmative. [Ono flies away.] *gasps* Hapana! [Ono's vision flickers, and he spots Lake Kiziwa flooding its banks.] Lake Kiziwa! It's too full. The water's pouring out.
Kito: [Kito rolls her eyes.] Ugh. That last rainstorm's still causing trouble.
[More water gushes out of Lake Kiziwa, dislodging some rocks on its shore.]
Ono: It's getting worse, Kito!
Kito: [Kito turns around and spots a herd of oryx grazing in the path of the floodwaters.] [from offscreen] Lion Guard! [Kito turns to face her friends.] We need to do something before all that water floods the valley.
[Bunga and Fuli stare at Kito in horror. Bunga turns around, smiles, and spreads his arms wide.]
Bunga: Hey, I've got an idea.
[The scene transitions. Kito, Beshte, and Fuli struggle to push a tall rock into the floodwaters.]
Kito, Beshte, and Fuli: *grunt*
Bunga: [From below, Bunga directs his friends.] Push, Beshte! We gotta block it out!
Beshte: Twende kiboko!
Kito, Beshte, and Fuli: *grunt*
[The giant rock falls into the path of the floodwaters, blocking them. Beshte looks down on his handiwork.]
Beshte: Poa!
[Kito and Ono join Beshte.]
Ono:
sighs* We did it!
[Fuli joins Kito, Beshte, and Ono.]
Fuli: Nice!
[Shingo and Thurston approach the rock dam.]
Thurston: *chuckles* Oh, my! Whose idea was this?
Bunga: Mine. [Bunga pats the dam.] Pretty awesome, huh?
Shingo: Impressive. What a great idea.
Bunga: And you know what makes this a great idea? [Bunga spreads his arms wide.] It was so simple to do. [Bunga dusts off his hands.] Quick and easy. [Bunga puts his hands on his hips.] That's the way to do it.
Kito: [Kitl approaches behind Bunga.] I don't know, Bunga. The easy solution's not always the best solution.
Shingo: Well, it sure worked with this dam.
[A rock falls out of the dam, which causes some water to trickle out.]
Kito: Uh-oh. Now, look at it. What do we do about that?
Bunga: [Bunga's face turns to shock. He turns and surveys the leak.] Hmm. [Bunga picks up a stick and plugs the leak with it. He then gestures proudly at the stick.] Put a stick in it. [Bunga puts his hands on his hips.] That's my advice. [Bunga crosses his arms over his chest.]
Thurston: Hey, it worked. What a good idea.
Shingo: He gives great advice.
Fuli: Good idea? Great advice? You know you're talking about Bunga, right?
Rafiki: [from offscreen] Don't be so surprised. [Rafiki swings out of a nearby tree, holding two baobab fruits.] Honey badgers, they are the Pride Lands' smartest animals when... [Rafiki drops his baobab fruits.] Oh, oh, oh. Wait a minute.
Bunga: You hear that, everyone? [Bunga points at himself.] I'm the Pride Lands' smartest animal. [Bunga crosses his arms over his chest.] Rafiki said so. I'm smart, and I give good advice. Say, wait till my uncles hear about this. [Bunga runs off.]
Kito: Hey, Bunga! Wait up!
[Kito, Beshte, and Fuli take off after Bunga. Behind them, Rafiki finishes picking up his fallen baobab fruits.]
Rafiki: Yes. Honey badgers are the smartest when they think before they speak. [Rafiki picks up his bakora staff.] *groans* But if they do not... [Rafiki hefts his staff high.] Whoo-hoo-hoo! Total disaster! *laughs* 'Rafiki looks around at an empty field.] Hmm, where'd everybody go? [Rafiki shrugs.] Eh. 'Rafiki walks past the dam.] *hums*
[Water begins to trickle out from under the stick. The scene transitions. Kito, Beshte, and Fuli run across a marshy area, while Ono flies overhead.]
Kito: Bunga! Bunga, wait up!
Turtle: [From offscreen] Um, a little help here?
[Kito, Beshte, Fuli, and Ono pull to a halt. A turtle struggles on its back, and the camera pans out to reveal Kito, Beshte, Fuli, and Ono approaching.]
Beshte: Uh-oh.
[Kito, Beshte, Fuli, and Ono survey a field where several turtles are struggling on their backs.]
Turtles: *grunt*
Kito: Oh, we forgot to flip the turtles. [Kito approaches a turtle.] Sorry about that. [Kito flips the turtle onto its legs.]
Turtle: Oh, thank you.
[The turtle walks away. Beshte flips a turtle onto its legs. In the background, Fuli guides a turtle along.]
Turtle: Phew.
Beshte: There you go, little guy. Well, the turtles are all flipped.
Fuli: We forget anything else?
Kito: Argh. The porcupine brothers. Though that'd be easier if we had Bunga to help. [Ono nips at one of his wings.] Ono, go find Bunga.
Ono: *hums* [Ono stops nipping.] Affirmative. [Ono flys away]
[The scene transitions. Kito, Beshte, and Fuli struggle to overturn a log while the porcupine brothers watch from nearby.]
Kito, Beshte, and Fuli: *grunt*
[Kito, Beshte, and Fuli overturn the log, and water splashes out of it.]
Kito: There you go, you guys. See you next time.
Porcupine: [from offscreen] Thanks!
[The porcupine brothers hop onto the log and into a hole in the bark.]
Fuli: Every storm, it's the same thing. You'd think they'd just move.
Beshte: They like it here. It's cozy.
Fuli: Yeah, but how cozy do you really want to be when you're a porcupine?
[Kito, Beshte, and Fuli walk away. Meanwhile, the log shakes.]
Porcupine: [from offscreen] Owww, watch those quills!
[Kito, Beshte, and Fuli gather around a hole in the ground. Cut to a view of the three looking down into the hole.]
Kito: Okay, who wants to crawl in and make sure Ushari and the cobras aren't stuck in the mud?
Beshte: Don't look at me.
[Kito and Beshte look at Fuli.]
Fuli: *sighs* It's times like this we really need Bunga.
Kito: Yeah, but he's–
Ono: [from offscreen] Everyone! [Kito, Beshte, and Fuli look up. Ono flies overhead.] You gotta see what's going on at Hakuna Matata Falls!
[The scene transitions to Hakuna Matata Falls. Kito, Beshte, Fuli, and Ono stare in consternation.]
Beshte: Whoa!
[A line of animals has formed in front of a baobab tree. Timon and Pumbaa stand at the front of the line.]
Kito: [from offscreen] Hevi kabisa! What is all this?
[The Lion Guard strides alongside the line of animals.]
Thurston: Rafiki said he's the wisest...
Shingo: Of all the animals...
Mongoose: In the whole Pride Lands.
Mbuni: Oh. Amazing.
[Timon and Pumbaa dart in front of Kito, Beshte, Fuli, and Ono as they approach the baobab tree. Timon holds up his hands.]
Timon: Whoa, whoa, whoa. [Timon points at Kito, Beshte, Fuli, and Ono.] Not so fast, kids.
Pumbaa: If you want to see him, you've got to wait in line.
[Kito and Fuli exchange glances.]
Kito: See who?
[Timon lifts his arms.]
Timon and Pumbaa: Bunga the Wise!
Pumbaa: The Sage of Hakuna Matata Falls.
Kito, Beshte, Fuli, and Ono: The what?!
Fuli: [irritated] Seriously?
[Music starts]
[Timon and Pumbaa dance. The gathered animals sway to the music.]
Timon and Pumbaa: There's one honey badger who's smart as can be.
[Timon hops into Pumbaa's mane.]
Timon: He's smarter than Pumbaa.
Pumbaa: He's smarter than me?
Timon: [Timon sidles up next to Kito.] It may sound kooky, [Timon leans on Kito's shoulder.] but it came from Rafiki.
Pumbaa: [Pumbaa sidles up next to Kito.] He's one smart cookie.
Timon: [Timon lifts his arms.] He's amazingly geeky.
[Timon and Pumbaa approach a bushbuck.]
Timon and Pumbaa: }His IQ's off the charts. [Timon and Pumbaa strike thoughtful poses.] He outthinks the best of us.
Pumbaa: ['umbaa lifts an arm dramatically.] But he's also got heart!
[Timon cartwheels toward Pumbaa. He then lifts his arms.]
Timon and Pumbaa: So he'll think for the rest of us. So! [Timon dances around Mbuni's neck.] Step right up and meet Bunga the Wise! [Timon flips onto Pumbaa's head.] The wisest of all, and he loves to advise. [Timon swings past a crocodile on a zebra tail.] If you're feeling down, [Pumbaa swings past the crocodile on an elephant trunk.] don't know what to do, [Timon and Pumbaa lift their arms.] let Bunga the Wise [Timon and Pumbaa pose with various animals.] do your thinking for you!{
Timon: [Timon peeks into the baobab tree.] Kid, that's your cue.
Pumbaa: [Pumbaa peeks into the baobab tree.] Come on, Bunga, you know what to do.
Bunga: [Bunga jumps out of the baobab tree.] Guess who? }So! [Bunga points along the line of animals.] Step right up and meet [Bunga points at himself.] Bunga the Wise! [Bunga dances.] The wisest of all, [Bunga spreads his arms wide.] and I love to advise. [Bunga approaches a mongoose.] If you're feeling down, [Bunga pulls up the mongoose's mouth in a smile.] don't know what to do, [Timon and Pumbaa sidle up next to the mongoose.] let Bunga the Wise...
Bunga, Timon, and Pumbaa: Do your thinking for you
[The gathered animals exchange excited glances. Bunga rips a baobab fruit in half and puts one half on his head like a hat. He strides alongside the line of animals.]
Bunga: Don't ask any questions. I'll tell you my thoughts. [Bunga points at Thurston.] Those stripes don't suit ya. I'd change 'em to spots! [Bunga tugs at a gnu's beard.] That bearded look's out. You gnus ought to shave 'em. [Bunga steals a pile of grubs from Muhanga.] Give me your grubs. [Bunga puts a consoling hand on Muhanga's shoulder.] I'll be sure to save 'em...
[Kito and Fuli exchange uncertain glances, while Beshte and Ono stare in shock. From atop Bunga's head, Timon lifts an arm dramatically.]
Timon: He can solve almost any problem conceivable!
Bunga: [Bunga lifts his arms.] I've got so much wisdom, it's un-Bunga-lievable!
[The camera pans out to reveal Bunga standing on Pumbaa.]
Pumbaa: So!
Timon: [Timon lifts his arms.] So!
Bunga: [Bunga lifts his arms.] So!
[Bunga and Timon jump off Pumbaa. The three begin to dance.]
Bunga, Timon, and Pumbaa: Step right up and meet Bunga the Wise! The wisest of all, [Bunga crosses his arms, and Timon and Pumbaa point to him.] and I love to advise. [Bunga points at the gathered animals.] If you're feeling down, [Bunga lifts his arms.] don't know what to do, [Bunga points at himself.] let Bunga the Wise do your thinking for you!
[Bunga points at the gathered animals. The gathered animals sway to the music.]
Bunga, Timon, Pumbaa, and the Pride Landers: Step right up and meet Bunga the Wise! [An elephant lifts Bunga in its trunk.] The wisest of all, [Bunga bounces off Mbuni's head.] and he loves to advise. [Bunga bounces off a hippopotamus's nose.] If you're feeling down, don't know what to do..
Pumbaa: Let Bunga the Wise...
Timon: Bunga the Wise...
Bunga: [Bunga lands in-between Timon and Pumbaa.] Bunga the Wise...
Bunga, Timon, and Pumbaa: Do your thinking for you!
[Bunga, Timon, and Pumbaa pose.]
(Music ends)
Pride Landers: *cheer*
[Bunga waves to the adoring crowd. He strides alongside the line of animals.]
Bunga: Thank you. Thank you very much. Nice of you to drop by. [Bunga bumps into one of Shingo's legs.] *grunts*
Shingo: Bunga the Wise, everyone thinks I'm stuck up because my head's so high up in the sky. What do I do?
Bunga: [Bunga picks a blade of grass and ties it into a knot.] Simple. [Bunga holds up the grass.] Tie a knot in your neck.
[Shingo walks away. Kito and Fuli exchange glances. Mbuni approaches Bunga and ducks down to his level.]
Mbuni: Bunga the Wise, how can I keep from being scared whenever I see a hyena?
Bunga: [Bunga looks left, then right.] That's easy. Just... [Bunga puts a hand to his mouth and whispers into Mbuni's ear.] *whispers*
Mbuni: Mm-hmm. Mmm. Thanks.
[Mbuni walks away. Thurston approaches on Bunga's other side.]
Thurston: Mmm, Bunga the Wise, suppose I see a pile of rocks with a leak in it. Where do I find a stick?
Bunga: Just climb up a tree and grab one. [Bunga leans on Thurston's snout.] Trees are full of sticks.
Timon: [Timon approaches Bunga.] All right, all right. [Timon holds up his arms to keep back the crowd.] Everybody, back in line. No more freebies.
Pumbaa: [Pumbaa walks toward the baobab tree.] Don't worry. You'll all get your turn eventually.
Timon: Come on, kid, [Timon grasps Bunga by the arm.] er, I mean, [Timon bows to Bunga.] Your Sage-iness.
Bunga: Uh, okay. [Bunga waves to the gathered animals.] Talk you all soon!
[Bunga enters the baobab tree, while Timon and Pumbaa stand sentinel on either side of the entrance.]
Timon: *clears throat* [Timon gestures at the baobab tree.] Next.
[A mongoose approaches and hands Timon a grub. Timon sniffs the grub, then eats it.]
Timon: Ah. You're too kind.
[Timon and Pumbaa gesture for the mongoose to enter the baobab tree.]
Pumbaa: Now, if you'll follow me...
Kito: [from offscreen] Hey! Bunga!
[The mongoose freezes on his way into the baobab tree.]
Pumbaa: Uh-oh.
[Kito, Beshte, Fuli, and Ono bound toward the baobab tree, but Timon intercepts them, holding up his hands.]
Timon: Whoa. Whoa. What part of [Kito and Fuli exchange glances.] "wait in line" did you kids not understand?
Fuli: [Fuli strides purposefully toward Timon.] Give me a break, Timon. [Fuli steps over Timon and approaches the baobab tree.] We need to talk to Bunga.
Pumbaa: [Pumbaa blocks Fuli's path.] *clears throat* It's Bunga the Wise.
Bunga: [Bunga peeks out of the baobab tree and waves to his friends.] Oh, hi, guys. Didn't see you there. Come on in.
[Bunga re-enters the baobab tree. Timon puts his hands on his hips.]
Timon: Fine. Make it fast. [Timon gestures at the gathered animals.] We got lots of folks here waiting their turn!
[Kito strides past Timon and into the baobab tree. Beshte tries to follow her but is too big to fit. After a moment, he backs out to stand next to Timon and Pumbaa.]
Beshte: Okay, I'll just be out here.
[Inside the baobab tree, Bunga lounges on several layers of bark, with gourds hanging over his head. Kito, Fuli, and Ono approach him.]
Kito: Bunga, what's going on?
[Kito and Fuli halt in front of Bunga, while Ono alights next to him.]
Fuli: Are you seriously giving all of those animals advice?
Bunga: That's right. You heard Rafiki. [Bunga drops his hat on top of Ono.] I'm super-smart.
Ono: [echoing] Hello?
[Ono shakes off the hat. Bunga examines his nails.]
Bunga: Remember? I had that great idea to stop the lake from flooding.
Kito: I guess.
Bunga: [enthusiastic] So, then, I had an even better idea. [Bunga jumps to his feet.] I could share my great ideas. [Bunga begins to march along.] I can help everyone in the Pride Lands by telling them what to do. [Eyes closed, Bunga marches right into a string of gourds.] Owww.
Fuli: Seriously?
[Bunga rubs his nose.]
Kito: Bunga, you already help the Pride Lands. You're on the Lion Guard. [Bunga turns to face Kito.] You're the Pride Lands' bravest.
Bunga: [Bunga holds up a finger.] But I'm also the smartest! [loftily] It's difficult being so gifted.
Kito: Bunga...
Timon: [Timon marches into the baobab tree.] Okay, okay. [Timon begins shoving Kito toward the entrance of the baobab tree.] Time's up. [Kito, Fuli, and Ono leave.] Folks outside ain't gettin' any smarter.
Bunga: [Bunga waves after his friends.] Thanks for coming, guys! Next time, make an appointment! [Bunga runs into the same string of gourds.] Owww.
[The scene transitions. Kito, Beshte, and Fuli walk through an open field, while Ono flies overhead.]
Fuli: If you ask me, Bunga's the one animal in the Pride Lands who should not be giving advice.
Beshte: Why's that, Fuli? He did figure out how to keep the lake from flooding.
Kito: [uncertainly] Yeah, he did, but I just got a bad feeling about all this. [Behind Kito, a trickle of water begins leaking from the rock dam. Water rushes down a grassy slope toward a herd of zebras. Meanwhile, Kito, Beshte, Fuli, and Ono pull up short with shocked expressions on their faces.] Hevi kabisa!
Mbuni: [Mbuni struggles to free her head, which is stuck underground.] [muffled] *yells*
Beshte: I didn't think ostriches really did that
Ono: [Ono lands on Beshte's back.] [confused] They don't.
Kito: And I don't think that one likes it very much. Come on.
[Kito, Beshte, Fuli, and Ono rush to Mbuni's side. While Kito and Fuli tug at her tail, Beshte picks her up around the middle.]
Kito, Beshte, and Fuli: *grunt*
Mbuni: [Mbuni's head pops out of the ground.] *gasps* Oh. Thank you. *gasps* Hard to breathe down there. [Mbuni spits sand onto Ono.]
Ono: Ugh.
[Ono shakes the sand off him. Mbuni spits out more sand.]
Mbuni: Sand. Ugh. [Mbuni spits out more sand.]
Ono: Watch where you're spitting! [Ono flies away from Mbuni and lands on Beshte's back.] *groans* Tall birds. [Ono nips at one of his wings.] *shudders*
[Kito and Fuli approach Mbuni.]
Kito: Are you okay?
Mbuni: I am now. *coughs* Thanks.
Fuli: So, why'd you stick your head in the sand in the first place?
Mbuni: Bunga the Wise said it was the best way to [Mbuni looks left and right furtively.] avoid seeing hyenas. And he's the smartest animal there is.
Fuli: [Fuli smirks at Kito.] *scoffs*
Kito: [Kito looks over one shoulder at Fuli.] Don't say it.
Ono: *gasps* Hapana! [Three bushbucks graze on a field of pink flowers.] Those pink flowers will make them sick.
Kito: Bushbucks! Stop!
[Kito, Beshte, Fuli, and Ono rush toward the bushbucks.]
Beshte: I got 'em. [Beshte begins stamping on the field of pink flowers.] *grunts*
Bushbuck: Hey! Our flowers!
Beshte: You shouldn't eat these.
Kito: These flowers will make you sick.
Bushbuck: But Bunga the Wise said pink flowers were the tastiest. And he's the smartest animal there is.
[Fuli glares at Kito. She glances guiltily at her over one shoulder.]
Kito: I know what you're thinking.
Oryx: [from offscreen] Help!
Fuli: [Fuli rolls her eyes.] Ugh, now what?
[An oryx cowers on a ledge. Above him, Kito, Beshte, Fuli, and Ono approach.]
Oryx: Help!
Kito: Hang on! We'll help you out.
[The oryx scrabbles away from the edge, while Ono hovers next to him.]
Oryx: Please. I don't like high places.
[Kito turns to face Beshte and Fuli.]
Kito: Fuli, pick a horn. Beshte, you say when.
[Fuli grips one of the oryx's horns in her teeth. Kito grips the other horn in his teeth.]
Ono: Don't worry. They hardly ever drop anybody.
Oryx: [fearful] Hardly ever? [shuddering] Oh.
Beshte: Pull!
[Kito and Fuli pull on the oryx's horns.]
Kito and Fuli: *grunt*
Oryx: *groans*
[Kito and Fuli drag the oryx up the cliff and onto the grass.]
Kito and Fuli: *grunt*
[Ono lands on Beshte's head. The oryx stands.]
Oryx: *gasps* Thank you so much.
Kito: How'd you get trapped down there?
Fuli: [sarcastically] It wasn't advice from Bunga the Wise, was it?
Oryx: Why, yes, it was. [The oryx looks over one shoulder, to where three oryxes are grazing on the opposite cliff.] I asked him about the fastest way across the canyon, and he just said to jump.
[Fuli glowers at Kito, who looks at her sheepishly. After a moment, she rolls her eyes.]
Kito: Okay, go ahead and say it.
Fuli: I told you Bunga shouldn't be handing out advice!
Kito: Yeah. We've got to tell him to stop.
Beshte: Do we have to stand in line again?
Ono: I don't think so. [Ono points.] Look!
[A line of Pride Landers marches across the savanna. Bunga struts proudly at the front, while Mtoto walks behind him, fanning him with a giant leaf. Timon and Pumbaa march behind Mtoto.]
Pride Landers: Bunga, Bunga, ho, make way, make way. He's the wisest we know. Make way for Bunga the Wise. Make way for Bunga the Wise. Bunga, Bunga, hey, Bungy, Bunga, Bunga, ho, make way, make way. He's the wisest we know. Make way for Bunga the Wise. Make way for Bunga the Wise.
Bunga: [Bunga looks over one shoulder at his adoring fans.] Catchy! [Bunga turns back.] I like it.
Fuli: Now, I've seen everything.
Kito: [Kito rolls her eyes.] Oh, come on.
[Kito, Beshte, Fuli, and Ono intercept Bunga. The parade of animals halts.]
Bunga: Oh, hi, guys. 'Mtoto stops fanning Bunga.] Don't stop.
[Mtoto continues fanning Bunga.]
Kito: Bunga, [Kito steps forward emphatically.] what are you doing?
[Timon and Pumbaa sidle up next to Bunga.]
Pumbaa: Bunga's advice is so popular, we decided to take it on the road.
Timon: [Timon holds up his hands, as if indicating a poster.] Bunga the Wise: The Pride Lands Tour!
Bunga: [Bunga points at Kito, Beshte, Fuli, and Ono.] [cheekily] I advise you to come along with us.
Beshte: Sounds like fun.
Ono: Sounds like trouble.
Kito: Bunga, you've got to stop this. We've got enough to do trying to deal with the rainstorm. Your bad advice is making things worse.
Bunga: *gasps* Me? Bad advice?
Pumbaa: What?
[Two giraffes stare at each other in horror.]
Giraffes: *gasp*
Thurston: No!
Mongoose: [A mongoose gets onto his hind legs.] Rafiki said Bunga was smart.
Bunga: [Bunga gestures to the crowd of Pride Landers.] You see, Kito? Everyone loves my advice. [Bunga crosses his arms.] They wouldn't know what to do without it. Am I right?
Mongoose: Yeah.
Shingo: That's right.
Thurston: We're clueless.
Pumbaa: And Bunga gives good advice.
Timon: [Timon pats Pumbaa on the chin.] You said it, Pumbaa. [Timon gestures to Kito.] He's even given the Lion Guard advice. Anybody remember [Timon points over one shoulder.] a little thing called [Timon steeples his fingers.] the dam?
Shingo: Yes! Whoo!
Pumbaa: Love it!
Timon: That's right! [Timon gestures to Bunga.] His idea. His advice. Problem solved. [Timon crosses his arms.] The end.
[The dam breaks, and floodwaters stream across the savanna. Timon stares at the flood for a few moments, then turns to face the crowd of Pride Landers.]
Timon: [calmly] And now, I have some advice. [Timon lifts his arms.] Run!
[The Pride Landers scatter.]
Pride Landers: *scream*
[The flood rushes toward a herd of cape buffalo and a herd of zebras, who are grazing peacefully.]
Kito: We've gotta move those animals to safety. Lion Guard, follow me!
[Kito rushes off, with Beshte, Fuli, and Ono on her heels. Bunga watches them go.]
Bunga: *sighs*
[Timon and Pumbaa run up a nearby ridge]
Pumbaa: *wails* Run, Bunga, run!
Timon: [Timon stops at the top of the ridge.] Don't be a mook, kid! Head for the hills!
[Timon races after Pumbaa. Meanwhile, Mtoto fans Bunga.]
Bunga: But I'm a member of the Lion Guard. I can't let my friends down. [Bunga races after his friends. Mtoto stops fanning, confused.] Hey, guys! Wait for me!
[Kito runs across the savanna. She looks over one shoulder at Beshte, Fuli, and Ono.]
Kito: Split up!
[Kito, Beshte, Fuli, and Ono take off in opposite directions. Bunga runs along, with Mtoto on his heels.]
Bunga: You can stop fanning me now!
Kito: [Kito approaches the herd of cape buffalo.] Everyone, follow me! Now!
[The cape buffalo run after Kion.]
Cape buffalo: *moo*
[The floodwaters splash over the place where the cape buffalo had been standing. Meanwhile, Beshte runs after a herd of zebras.]
Beshte: Zebras, stay close to each other and follow Kito. Twende kiboko! [Beshte braces himself, and the floodwaters hit him.] *groans*
[The water curves around Beshte, leaving a dry strip for the zebras to run on. Meanwhile, a hedgehog flees the floodwaters.]
Hedgehog: *pants*
[The hedgehog pauses and stares at the approaching floodwaters fearfully.]
Fuli: [from offscreen] Got ya.
[Fuli grabs the hedgehog in her teeth and races away. The floodwaters splash over the place where the hedgehog had been standing. Meanwhile, Kito leads the cape buffalo and zebras into a canyon, while Beshte, Bunga, Fuli, and Mtoto run at the rear of the group. Ono flies overhead.]
Kito: Hurry! Into the canyon!
[Kito leads the Pride Landers into a narrower canyon. Bunga pauses in the pass and looks back.]
Bunga: *screams* [Mtoto flees the floodwaters.] Come on, kid! Run! Take my advice! Don't look back!
[Mtoto races into the canyon, and Bunga follows him. A moment later, the floodwaters rush through the canyon.]
Pride Landers: *grunt*
'The Pride Landers approach a fork in the path. Kion looks up at Ono.]
Kito: Ono! Which way?
Ono: [Ono's vision flickers, and he sees that one pathway leads into an open field.] [from offscreen] Oh, no. [Ono flies over to the field.] Left! Go left!
Kito: [Kito looks over one shoulder at the Pride Landers.] This way, everybody! To the left!
[The Pride Landers take the left pathway. Ono looks ahead and sees that the Pride Landers are heading toward a dead end.]
Ono: [from offscreen] A dead end! [Ono looks down in concern.] Oh, no! Kito!
Kito: [Kito pulls to a halt.] *gasps*
Cape buffalo: Oh, no! Look out!
[The cape buffalo skid to a halt. Beshte bumps into a cape buffalo from behind, and several animals pile up behind him.]
Pride Landers: *groan*
[The floodwaters rush through the canyon.]
Beshte: Kito, [Kito walks to the front of the group, examining the walls of the canyon.] the walls are too steep to climb. What do we do?
Thurston: Don't ask Kito. Ask Bunga the Wise.
Mtoto: Bunga the Wise!
Hedgehog: [The hedgehog clasps his hands, as in prayer.] What do we do?
Thurston: Tell us.
Bunga: [Bunga looks at the Pride Landers in frozen horror.] Uh... [Bunga shrugs helplessly.] I don't know. [Bunga points at Kito.] Kito's the one who always knows what to do with this kinda stuff. [hopefully] Right, Kito?
Kito: Right. But it's not exactly quick and easy. Now, everyone, get behind me!
[Kito turns to face the oncoming floodwaters. Ono flits over the Pride Landers.]
Ono: She means it! Get behind her! Get behind her!
Kito: [Kito glares as the floodwaters rush through the canyon. Her eyes dilate, and she uses the Roar of the Elders.*roars*
[The Roar of the Elders causes the floodwaters to shoot up in a sheet, then roll back out of the canyon. Rocks falls into the canyon in front of the Pride Landers. The floodwaters continue receding until they form a waterfall outside of the canyon.]
Pride Landers: *cheer*
[Kito looks over one shoulder at the Pride Landers, then back at the canyon.]
[The scene transitions to the new waterfall. Below the waterfall, a pool has formed, and various animals are resting on its shore. Mtoto sprays some water with his trunk. The camera pans to show Kito and Fuli resting on the shore, Beshte standing in the pool, and Ono standing on Beshte's back.]
Fuli: *sighs* I like this view.
Kito: Me too.
Beshte: Yeah. This is a great place to rest up after a rainstorm.
Ono: Until the next one.
[Timon makes himself comfortable on Pumbaa's tummy.]
Timon: Oh. Mmm-hmm. [Timon flops onto his back.] *exhales*
[Rafiki sits in a meditative position. Bunga marches past happily.]
Bunga: *hums* [Bunga stops and points at a patch of white flowers.] That spot with the flowers, [Bunga rubs his hands together.] it looks like the perfect place to bask in the sun.
Rafiki: I would not lie there, if I were you.
[Rafiki opens his eyes and looks over one shoulder at Bunga, who waves a hand dismissively.]
Bunga: Pfft. Come on, Rafiki. I can tell the best spots to bask. I'm the smartest animal around. You said so yourself.
Rafiki: You did not hear [Rafiki holds up a finger.] everything I said. Honey badgers are only smartest when they think things through.
Bunga: [Bunga jumps into the air.] Think things through? [Bunga lands with a splash in the flowers, which are revealed to be growing in mud.] Uh. Guess I'm not so wise after all. [Bunga lounges on his back in the mud.] Oh, well. I can live with that.
A/N: Hey everyone I hope you enjoyed this chapter! I'm not 100% sure whether or not I'm going to be able to consistently post in January because of school, but I'll definitely try my best to post as consistently as I can! 3
