Three Months Later

"This is the sign off you want?" Carrie asked after they had gone over the show agenda, one more time. She was the only person who knew what Kimberly's 'big surprise' would be at the end and it terrified her. What if this backfired? What if this ruined her friend? Her success moving forward depended on this going well. "Kim…this is a serious thing to announce."

"I know, but I'll have my babies and my husband with me. We'll be at the location of our new business venture and we'll make this announcement together. The way it should have been all along," Kim said as she looked down at the signature pink pantsuit she had asked Carrie to pull out, one last time. If she was going to do this on national television- she might as well look as much of the part as humanly possible. The world might not know that rangers tended to wear their color, but she wanted to be so connected to this color that no one could forget this. "Thank you for being here for me on this."

"If I lose my job for keeping your secret…" Carrie trailed off and Kim forced a smile. She knew that might happen and she had made sure they could offer Carrie some sort of employment, even if it was just to help her between jobs. "Kim."

"You will not go hungry because of this. Tommy and I have made and will make sure of it," Kim said and Carrie locked eyes with her. She had heard Kim say that before, but the conviction she said it with now surprised her. "When I asked you to help me with this…Tommy agreed we would make sure you were taken care of if the network doesn't like what happens."

"Thank you," Carrie whispered as Kim gave her a hug and then put on her best, for television, smile. "Damn…I'm going to miss having you here."

"Offer still stands," Kim said as she was fitted with her microphone pack and she smiled as Tommy just shook his head. He just wanted this day over with and she couldn't say that she blamed him one bit. It was most certainly going to be the weirdest show she had ever anchored and it was going to be her last. There was no way she would be picked up by any other network after today. Who would want to pick up a Power Ranger?

"Everyone has asked what my plans are after The Today Show. Over the last three years, my life has changed drastically," Kimberly said as she walked down the street towards the academy and she looked over at Tommy as he held their toddlers and walked next to her. They had reviewed all of the marks over the last two days, but she could feel how uncomfortable he was even if he was smiling at her being in her element. The only thing that relaxed him was that she was by his side during this. "I've had more health scares and life altering experiences than I have had in a long time. You've been beside me through all of those challenges. You've seen me get married and start my family and I hope that all of you will be supportive of the next stage of my life and my career, but it's okay if you aren't."

"I met this stud in Angel Grove, California when I was fourteen and my life was going through another major change," Kimberly said as winked up at Tommy and he smiled down at her as Jay jumped into her arms. As the twins got older, their distinct personalities were starting to come out and Jay was definitely the fearless daredevil of the two. Kira preferred to stay close, unless there was a fluffy unicorn involved. "And I'm setting about this next adventure with him by my side. Not just as my husband, but as co-founder of our new academy. We've teased this a lot over the last few weeks as you've watched the renovation of the space and learned that it will be an invite only opportunity. There's several reasons for that. Namely, Tommy Oliver is a very special man. He's one of a kind and that means we get to do something that no one else has ever done, at least in this universe."

"I'm not the only one who is one of a kind. Kimberly also has skills that are unique and will allow us to truly provide the best and most well rounded education at our academy," Tommy said as they each passed off a child to a waiting assistant and he grabbed her hand as they walked towards the building and the camera panned out wide for a moment before following them in. It was so important to the both of them that people be able to easily identify where they were. If they were going to send up a beacon- they didn't want any beings to accidentally attack the wrong place.

"Behind us is where we are establishing the first Power Ranger academy," Kimberly said as she reached into the back of her waistband and pulled out her morpher, as Tommy did the same. They both locked eyes with the camera and she felt the confusion from everyone as she smiled. It seemed that the crew was going to hold it together and follow all of the cues that she had asked for, which was also important. This announcement needed to be seen by as many people as possible. "Tommy- you ready to show our true colors?"

"It's morphin' time!" they yelled in unison as they continued to stare down the cameras and then transformed into their morphed forms. Somehow the camera men held the cameras steady as they took off their helmets and smiled at each other. They had done it. They had taken all the steps possible to make this world a better place. Earth's Power Rangers were moving forward and they were going to be the ones to lead the way.
