Chapter 4

I woke up from hearing a loud crunching sound as I quickly got up and went to the garage to see Ratchet and Bumblebee stepping on my "I Needed That!" I shouted as I saw half of my things crushed "What are you even doing-" I looked at the clock as I spoke "and You woke me up Five in the morning"

I was a bit annoyed as I wasn't an early bird and I don't like my things broken "sorry!?" Bumblebee apologies as I went to the area where half of my tools were broken "Great, now I have to make new ones" I say as I grabbed all the broken tools and lay them on the table as I sighed

"Don't have two hands so I can't fix it much" I mumbled forgetting about my disavage as I just left them "sound like a certain someone" Bumblebee joked as me and Ratchet glared at him "forget I said anything"

"Wake up Raf in three hours okay" I say as Ratchet transforms into his alt-mode "we need to get to base!" Ratchet's tells me as I rolled my eyes "but there nothing to do here" Bumblebee beeped as I sighed and looked for the remote before pressing a button on it as the six monitors I had turned into a big screen as the game I made out of there war came

"Wow" I heard bee say as I threw a game controller at him as he caught it "don't touch anything else" "got it!" I heard him say as I went into ratchet alt as he drove to base

Once we were at base Ratchet went straight into his work on what the substance was while I played my guitar I brought with me "The base elements of this goo are like nothing I've ever encountered-"

"Must be extremely concentrated to have affected Arcee so rapidly. Unfortunately, complete results are slow coming without the use of proper diagnostic tools! Thank you very much, Bulkhead!"

I heard Ratchet grumble as I shook my head as I played the song I was connected to, for some reason when I sing or play this certain song I get an image in my mind

The image was blurry, but from what I can see it looked like a robot maybe a small cybertronian, when the image cleared up it showed what I thought is was, it was standing on something and that something was in cybertronian

When the sound beings a melody will start,

The creation will know the way as the melody follows, What they find is something important,

The Important isn't told,

The creation and melody are the Key,

The Key to-

I stopped as I heard yelling, the image disappeared as I opened my eyes "Chelsey Move!" I heard Ratchet shout as I moved forward before I heard a huge thump noise

I turned around and saw something similar to what happened to my prosthetic hand, but this time it looked like the strange thing bulkhead destroyed

It looked at me as it came closer "what happened!?" I yelled at ratchet while running from the strange thing "it must be the strange substance like what happened yesterday"

"Ya ya like I didn't notice it glow purple" I shouted as Ratchet hit the thing with a wrench, but he missed as the thing went behind the monitors before it slashed something

"I Needed That!" Ratchet shouted at it which I see why Bumblebee said what he said now, the thing jumped in the air to attack Ratchet, but it got shot at as it crashed next to me

"Is It dead?" I asked, but it quickly turned to me as I gulp before it got crushed "And Stay Broken!" "Wow that was close!?" I said as I could feel my body vibrating a bit

"Sorry Chelsey, but it had to be done" "it's alright, I'll be fine" I say as my body stops vibrating "Now what could have caused that!" Ratchet looked at Optimus for answers as he gave one

"I have a grave suspicion Ratchet, Dark Energon" he says which I was confused about, but assumed it was something evil or bad

"If the residue Arcee found on Cliffjumper brought your broken equipment and Chelsey's prosthetic hand to life, it would stand to reason that the very same substance brought Cliffjumper back from the dead"

Optimus tells us which I gotta say is creepy, I can imagine a lot of horror movies and games with that kind of plot "That would account for his life signal inexplicably coming back online, but Dark Energon?"

"Dark Energon?" I thought as I would research that in the decepticons database when I get time "It's so scarce it seems to be virtually non-existent. What would it be doing on Earth?"

"It was transported, by Megatron" "For what purpose?" "To conquer this planet, by raising an army of the undead" the seriousness Optimus tone made me worried, but what Ratchet said next was funny to me

"Well, Megatron would need to break quite a few toaster ovens. I mean, where in this world would he find that many cybertronian dead?" Ratchet asked as I thought of many possibilities "I mean he could have a toaster oven army" I thought as I laughed a bit

Engine sounds could be heard as we turned to the side to see the others coming in "That was awesome!" "Can we do it again?" "Sweet!"

"It looks like they had a funtime" I thought as the bots transformed, while Bulkhead did something strange "Sorry! Must have left that in the back seat" I looked at Miko and Bulkhead to see him giving Miko her guitar case

"I'm not surprised she plays" I thought to myself as Optimus spoke "Autobots, prepare to-" Optimus stopped when his glace landed on Jack, Miko, and Raf "Roll out?" Arcee finished as Optimus looked at the trio

"Remain here, Ratchet, you'll come with me. Arcee, we'll be outside communications range for some time so I'm putting you in charge" "Dude, You're the biggest! You should be the boss!" I heard Miko tell Bulk which he answers with "Err, he never picks me"

"Optimus With all due respect. Playing bodyguard is one thing, babysitting another-" I heard Jack sighing as I laughed a bit, Arcee and Optimus talked as I followed Ratchet

"My pistons may be rusting, but my hearing is sharp as ever!" Ratchet says as I stand next to him "how sharp exactly?" I asked as Ratchet looked down at me "enough to hear you humans whispered" "really?" I whispered as he nodded "cool, secret talks between us" I whispered as I heard him sigh

"Arcee, much has changed in the last 24 hours, and we all need to adapt. Ratchet! Bridge us out!" Ratchet and Optimus walked towards the ground bridge as I looked at them and then at the others

"What do I do?" I asked as Optimus looked at me "stay" he says which I nodded as he and Ratchet left "well I'm not staying here per say" I thought as I went to explore the whole base

I heard something like speakers going, but as soon as they came they left as quickly. The area I was at looked like the bedrooms before I found the large room which I assumed was the training or sparring room

I soon found a room with metal, but not the metal I was familiar with, I took a couple of small pieces and put it inside my jacket, before going somewhere else to not get caught being in the room

When I got back to the main area I heard arcee's voice as I went towards the monitors "Arcee to base, come in. Jack? Listen up, we need you to bridge us back. Hello?" I decided to speak once I think I found the button

"Arcee?" I asked her "Chelsey?" "Ya" "I need you to bridge us back" "Okay? I've been watched Ratchet do it so I kinda know what to do" I was partly lying I wasn't familiar with the controller, but I do know how to open a ground bridge

"Location?" I asked as Arcee gave me them "locked and open should be opened to the right of you" I say as I heard engine noises coming in from the ground bridge "where is jack?" "And Raf"

I was busy looking into the other location coordinates as I spoke "the ground bridge was opened twice here so I assume Raf did the coordinates and they followed?" "Can you get us to them?" Arcee asked as I nodded

"I'll stay at base in case you guys need a groundbridge" I say as I clicked enter as a groundbridge opened up "good I don't need to worry about you following" Arcee says as she and Bumblebee drove off as once they were there I closed the bridge

"Now what do I do?" I said as there was nothing to do and I needed to stay put in case they called for a bridge. I saw my guitar leaning on the wall as I went to get it "Better than nothing" I started playing as I waited for them

After some time everyone was back to base as was agent Fowler "Agent Fowler will be okay, minor damage to him, but his mind is a little out of it for a bit of time" I say as Optimus nodded as I went to check on Raf

"We are glad that we have a medic for are human allies" Optimus says which I shake my head "I'm not really a doctor I only know some stuff here and there"

"Here and there look what you did for Fowler and Raf right now" Miko said as I sighed "nothing major happens and Raf you only got some light burns nothing else, which probably came from the floor when Jack tackled you down"

Raf nodded as he added a light cream I made for light burns "at least I don't have to worry about them" I heard Ratchet say as I sadden a bit "What happened to you guys anyway?" Miko asked as Ratchet answered "We engaged an army of undead cybertronian warriors"

"Zombies? You fought zombies, and I missed it?" Miko said in excitement "Bulkhead You exercised extremely poor judgment in allowing the humans to accompany you"

"It won't happen again, Optimus" bulk turned to us as he said "I promise" "But it wasn't Bulkhead's fault" Miko shouted as Bulk turned to him "Miko, please!" "And check it out! Recon!" Optimus looked down at Miko's phone before turning to Ratchet "Ratchet, have a look"

I also wanted to look so I went close to Miko "It could be of importance to Megatron" Optimus says as I stare at him "Woah, Megatron's back? That's really bad news, right?" Jack asked as Ratchet came to look

"I don't understand" "me neither?" I say as I saw a picture of a Vehicon "That's the 'Con who tried to blow Raf away. At least that's what he looked like before Bulkhead rearranged his grill"

I was a little angry at that, but jack spoke before I did "Miko, Raf was almost killed! This isn't a game! When are you gonna get that through your thick skull?" "Hm we were all almost killed, Jack. You, me, Raf, even them!" Miko pointed out, but I didn't understand what she was even thinking

"And what were you thinking about anyways Raf" I say as he, Jack, and Miko looked at me "You could have died, if jack didn't get you in time you might have parash, just look at your bag, the only reason your here is because of your laptop" I say as I showed his slight burnt laptop

"He's fine, isn't that what matters!" Miko shouted which I looked at her "Well, if this was just an average day with the Autobots then I don't wanna be a part of it" I was in the same mindset as jack, the danger of this war was what I was afraid of

"-Not anymore" he says as Optimus spoke "Jack, putting you in harm's way was never our intent. However It is no longer the safety of you four that is at risk but the safety of all humankind"

"Even if that's true, we are way too young for this war of theirs" my mind said as I looked up at Optimus "We will respect your decision if you wish to leave" I heard the ground bridge open as I stared at it

"No point in long good-byes, Here's the door" Ratchet says, I didn't like how he said that, but this is our one chance to leave behind "Come on, Raf" me and Jack said at the same time as we looked at each other

Raf was thinking as he looked at Bumblebee who looked down as he turned away "I'll be okay, Jack, See you at school" "Sure thing!" Jack answer as Raf turned to me "Chelsey I'm staying"

I did know what to do when he said that, my little brother figure, off to going into a war. Jack put a hand on my back as we walked to the ground-bridge.

Arcee blocked the path before we were close to it as jack spoke "I know, you don't exist" "Don't make me hunt you down" she turned towards me as I nodded in understanding.

I turned back to look at ratchet, but he didn't spare a glance at me, which made me even more sadden that he didn't care "let's go" Jack said as I nodded and entered the ground bridge.

Once we were on the other side I saw we were near the K.O. burger fast food restaurant "well see ya jack" I say as he waved while we went our separate ways.

I was in my garage building the small cybertronian I saw in my mind as I started with the body, I finally finished the prosthetic hand I needed to help me so now I could work faster than with one hand for this project

After a few minutes I heard a car engine as I turned around to see Raf and Bumblebee "You okay?" Raf asked as Bumblebee transformed I to his bot mode "I'm fine, just annoyed and worried is all" "what are you building" Bumblebee asked as he saw the sketch I made

"A robot I saw in a dream" "Cool! looks cybertronian" "it does look like them" Raf said as I turned to them "is there a reason you're here?" I asked them as they looked at me "well… um…" Raf turned to Bee who blinked before turning to me

"We want you to reconsider" "what exactly?" I say as I went back to building my robot "come back to team prime?" "I don't know Bee, I mean just look at what happen to Agent Fowler, if that happened to him, think of what happen if the children were in his place"

I say as I clicked the piece together for my robot as I looked at Bee "what would you do then" "i-i would get them the best I can" "they have a ship…. It isn't gonna stay in one place" I say as I turn away from them.

I heard a sad beep and sigh as Bee spoke "can I get some of the-" "go ahead, not like I have any use of them" I say as Bee went to grab some of the drinks and goodies before he left with Raf

I watched them leave sadly, but I made my choice and I'm going to stick with it, I went back to my robot and focus on building it all night as I finished building the main body for it

When the next day came I woke up in my garage since I didn't went to my room last night wanting to complete my project "great now I had a neck pain" I said as I knew I shouldn't have sleep in here, but it was worth it

I started working on the legs for several hours when a voice spoke "looks almost cybertronian?" I jumped as I grip the tool in hand hard and turned around

"Ratchet!?" I said surprised as he moved back a bit "what are you even doing here? How did you get over the gate it's like several feets high" I heard a hmph as he spoke "I had to jumped over it, accidentally crushing a some bushes"

I blinked before I walked out of the garage to see wat he crushed "huh" I said seeing the tall bushes crushed "I was gonna pay someone for that, but I guess you saved me some money" I say as I walked back to the garage

"Chelsey I… the others want you back" Ratchet says which I shook my head "I can't, this war is dangerous and what am I gonna do when there parents find out" I looked at Ratchet as he stayed Silent

"The children are young, they doesn't need to see how war is, plus if something happens to them I'll blame myself for it as I'm the only adult there, meaning I have to be responsible for them"

I could already imagine Mrs Esquivel asking questions about where her son went and what would I say when I tell her son is gone, it would be like when my mom died, you can grieve, but you can never forget

"I… I know how you feel Chelsey… I lost someone in this war, she died trying to protect the sparklings…. and also our own" "sparklings? They must be the cybertronian term for children" I thought as I saw the sad look Ratchet had

"What was she like?" I asked him as he looked down at me "She loved singing, it was her spark and joy, she was very creative, when she worked with the sparklings she would give them energon goodies she made or sing to them while she played her instrument as she calls it"

"Instrument? You guys play music?" "No, but she did, its when ever she sang, that she played, she sang many lullabys to the sparklings when they rechage, even are own when she was home"

"So she was your wife?" "Wife?... Ah yes that is what she would be in your terms, you know you remind me of her a bit" ya kinda weird, speaking of which how do I know how to cook with energon?

Ratchet convince me to comeback to team prime some how, but I didn't mind someone has to help the kids when they get injured

Once we were in base, I got out of Ratchet's alt mode as I saw Raf and Miko "ya hoo I knew you come back!" Miko shouted as I rolled my eyes "what made you come back?" Raf asked as I looked up at Ratchet "someone has to watch you children" I say as I grabbed Raf and pulled him closer as I messed with his hair

"Chelsey!?" Raf shouted as I laughed when a motor cycle engine was heard before Arcee came back with Jack "Hey, guess who's back?" Jack said as he got off of Arcee

"Autobots, prepare for departure" Optimus says as he looks at all the bots "Where to?" Arcee asked as Miko spoke "The final frontier" "Space?" I said looking at Ratchet, but he didn't look at me

"I thought they didn't have any way to get there" jack asked as Raf came down from Bumblebee's hand "They don't, really" the kids all looked at there guardian's as they said their worries… well besides Miko

"Optimus, if you leave me stranded on a planet teaming with humans, I will never forgive you" Ratchet says which I sadden at before he looked at me and shook his head meaning I was an exception

"Until we meet, again, old friend. Autobots, roll out!" Optimus shouted as Arcee, Bulkhead, and Bumblebee transformered into there alt-modes and drove into the ground bridge "Maximum overdrive!" I heard Optimus shouted before Ratchet closed the bridge

We all went near the monitors to listen in what Optimus and the others were saying as the dish the decepticons had was destroyed by Bulk

"Don't the Decepticons know where their own planet is?" Raf asked the questions I had in mind "Naturally, But Cybertron is many light years away" "Meaning to reach their target, their aim must be astronomically precise" I say as Ratchet nodded

"If Megatron went to the travel of rendezvousing with his Space Bridge, he must have an alternate targeting system, a remote one" Optimus says which Ratchet answered him "From what I know of Earth's technology, I doubt there exists a single radio-telescope dish on this planet powerful enough to pinpoint Cybertron"

"Can't say we have one but-" "a whole bunch of linked radio-telescope dishes?" "Like the giant sized arrray in Texas?" We both said together as Ratchet blinked "Shh! This is not child's play"

he says as Optimus spoke in the com "Good thinking, Rafael, Chelsey! Ratchet, have agent Fowler alert the array staff to the security hazard"

"You, soldier! You on the uniform! Put on some pants!" Agent Fowler shouted at Ratchet before he fell back on the bed "I should check on him" I say as I walked to Fowler

"That may be a challenge" I heard Ratchet say "I can't get past the array's firewalls! They're too thick" Raf said as I heard Ratchet spoke "You actually think you could keep the Decepticons out?"

"Maybe, if I could get in" "W-wait, Raf, what if we could get you all the way in? Like 'inside-the-building' in?" "I could log into their intern network on the other side of the firewall"

I heard Jack and Raf say, but I spoke loudly to get there attention "oh no, you three are not going, Raf you almost got killed on the last one, you can't just-"

"The risk is too great, the Decepticons would be there" "Optimus, with all due respect, you said it yourself, this is bigger than the safety of four humans"

"Yeah, if we let the 'Cons win, we are fried, along with everyone else on our planet"Jack and Miko said as Optimus spoke from the coms "Raf?" "I wanna give it a shot"

"No! You children are not going, the bots can't even help you this time so if something happens then-" "Chelsey?" Raf said as I looked at them

"We have to do it, for everyone" "for our families" "our friends" Raf, Jack, and Miko say as I looked at Ratchet for help as he looked away "stay safe?" I say unsure of what to do as the children nodded before Ratchet opened the ground bridge

Moments passed as we waited for the children as when they came back bad news came "Optimus, I'm registering a rapidly expanding mass in their Space Bridge vortex. One with a peculiar energy signature"

Ratchet tells everyone as Optimus apoke "Dark Energon! Ratchet, we must destroy the Space Bridge" I saw how Ratchet looked as Optimus continues

"There's enough live energon cursing through it to achieve detonation, but we lack the firepower to ignite it" I might find a tactical way of accomplishing that feat"

I worried about that before Raf spoke up "Um... would schematics help?" Ratchet looked back at the monitors as he spoke "Optimus, I must say… the Space Bridge is our sole hope of ever returning to Cybertron, are you certain its destruction is the only option?"

"I am afraid so" Optimus answered as I saw how Ratchet looked before he spoke "Then by all means… let us light our darkest hour" "Autobots, take your positions, and follow Ratchet's lead. While I make my stand" we heard Optimus say

"These things are getting closer, that's bad, right?" I blinked as I looked at him "you should be in bed resting… names Chelsey" I say as he nodded "Special Agent Fowler" I nodded as he walked back to the hospital bed

"Arcee, pay close attention" Ratchet spoke as I assume Arcee was listening "Now follow the line from the flow regulator to the energon pump, There should be a valve?"

"I see it!" "Good! To turn all that power against itself, all you need to do is reverse the current" "Current reversed!" We heard Arcee say as agent Fowler shouted from the bed "Yes! ... Right?"

Agent Fowler was invited as Ratchet spoke "I'll ready the Ground Bridge" Ratchet walked to the controls as I stayed near the children "Optimus, the Ground Bridge is ready and waiting"

Ratchet tells them as we wait for them to come back "Autobots, jump!" We hear Optimus shouted as I saw how worried Raf was as I put and hand on his shoulder as I pulled him close to me

"Do you... think they're...?" "Four life signals, One vary faint…" Ratchet says, but I could tell he was worried. Optimus was the first to come out and then "Bulkhead!" Miko shouted as she ran to hug his servo

But when bumblebee came, Arcee was in his arms badly hurt and damaged, Jack looked worried about her as me, Raf, and Miko pulled him in for a comforting hug

"We lost one this week, by the Allspark, don't let it be two" I heard Ratchet say as Jack went closer as we saw Arcee's optic's open "Arcee…"

"Jack, really… There are other motorcycles in the world" "But you're my first" I smiled for them as Ratchet spoke "And Megatron?" I also looked at Optimus for confirmation about him

"Not even he could have survived ground-zero" "Prime! I didn't get to thank you, 'Bots, for the save! I owe you one! We all do!" Agent Fowler says before he left in the elevator "So... is this the part where you say good-bye and… and tell us we need to forget we ever saw you?"

Without of means of leaving this world

We Autobots take strength in the bonds

We have forged with our four young friends

True warriors

If not in body, then, in spirit!

My name is Optimus Prime and I send this message

though we did not choose to be of Earth,

It would seem that we are here to stay!

If you approach this planet with hostile intent,

know this, we will defend ourselves!

We will defend humanity!

We will defend... our home!

A.N.: If the bold prints, tilted prints, or underline prints don't show then pretend they are there because I'm to lazy to reread the whole thing just to add those little details. Thanks! The only small detail I'll do is move the paragraphs to the middle.
