August 15th 2009:

A tremendous number of fire-balls illuminated the shadows of New-York-City. Leo Valdez launched himself at Alabaster C. Torrington and embedded a flame-enhanced punch straight into his right cheek.

Blood splattered the cold concrete beneath them. Alabaster shot forward and gathered mana into his knuckles. Raising a fore-arm to block off Alabaster's mana-empowered punch, Leo gritted his teeth.

"Damn!" Leo shouted to himself in his mind. Pain clouded his thoughts. "I forgot he was one of Kronos' strongest demi-god soldiers."

Roundhouse kicking Alabaster in the hip and hurtling him into the distance, Leo followed him within a shroud of impenetrable flames. Calloused hands clasped, Leo released a straight line of fire.

Alabaster erected a magical-shield in front of himself to fend off the heat-based attack before his back was slammed against a wall. A stream of blood oozed out from the magician's lips. "Leo Valdez!"

Leo flipped forward, stretched a fire-covered palm out, and slapped Alabaster right in the face. The child of Hecate had lifted his hand to parry the powerful strike—but his feet dug themselves into the ground.

Alabaster grunted, impressed. "Even if he was healed by Nico Di Angelo's ghost, he shouldn't be able to exert his strength this much."

Particles of mana surrounded Leo and consumed his entire body. Alabaster planted his foot down on the concrete, summoning a tidal wave of magical-energy at the demi-god of the flames. "Take this…"

However, Leo let loose a demonic scream and fire leaked out from his finger-tips before Alabaster's tidal wave of mana was obliterated. Brown eyes gazed at Alabaster in mischief. "That scream kinda hurt my throat!"

"Such impressive skill in pyrokinesis." Alabaster murmured. "I'm still rather disappointed that you didn't decide to join lord Kronos' army."

"Why the heck would I join you?!" Leo shouted, engulfing himself in another shroud of luminous fire. "You've murdered so many people!"

Alabaster chuckled, unamused. "That was their punishment for not seeing the truth! I find myself more and more annoyed by you."

"Enough of this!" Leo waved his hand. "I will be the one to stop you!"

Alabaster snarled at Leo—an uncharacteristic derision in his voice. "I bet you didn't even bother to try and understand why we left camp!"

"You've killed too many of our fellow demi-gods!" Leo had a furious expression on his coarse features. "Why would I want to understand you?!"

Stalking towards Alabaster in an aggressive gait, Leo flicked the meanest of fire-empowered punches into his chin. A small stream of blood escaped an unbothered Alabaster's mouth. "You are a fool…"

Alabaster drilled an aggravated axe-kick into Leo's chin and impelled him upwards. Casting a strange hand-sign, the magician murmured to himself in a gentle tone. "Hear me mana and hear my voice."

"I call for the hottest of fires in all of reality to grace this realm." The incantation burned on the tip of Alabaster's tongue. "Heed my call!"

Index and middle fingers pointed at an air-borne Leo, Alabaster unleashed a potent blast of fire in his direction. The incantation Alabaster had murmured was used to enhance the power of this spell.

An unprepared Leo gnashed his teeth against each other in annoyance and tensed his muscles. Alabaster's spell drove itself into him at an unnatural speed, eliciting a loud grunt of pain from his lips.

"You possess an immunity for fire because of your lineage." Alabaster spoke out of the blue. "But not even you can endure this much heat."

Alabaster was baffled when Leo dragged himself out from the gigantic vortex of fire, healing his wounds and glaring at him. The magician smirked. "I suppose I really should stop underestimating you."

"My flames are capable of closing my wounds." Leo pondered to himself, accumulating flames on his bruised palm. "Not all of them."

Flecks of ice gathered themselves at the tips of Alabaster's mana-enhanced fingers. "Snow-Magic: Hurricane-Of-Frost."

"He's using ice against fire?" Leo was confused and astonished. "This magician-man is planning something! I have no clue what, though!"

Their elemental attacks collided and generated a burst of fire and ice. Dispelling the magical-dome he had constructed around himself, Alabaster checked out the area before he was kicked in the head.

Rolling through the streets and crashing into a motor-bike parked on the right side of the road, Alabaster rubbed his wounded occiput. Scowling, he mumbled. "This battle has been going on forever."

Leo stepped forward and grinned. "I should really be thanking you, buddy! Fighting you has improved my instincts and my battle skills!"

"I told you about this already." Alabaster chuckled in response. "Us demi-gods are bred for death, war, destruction, and violence!"

"I think we've talked for too long." Leo stretched his palm out at Alabaster. Fire adorned his hand. "One more hurrah to end this?"

"I've had fun speaking to such a naive fool." Alabaster covered his finger-tips in a layer of elemental mana. "But I do agree this time."

Alabaster called for the last vestiges of mana from inside of himself, merging these vestiges into an explosive spell of elemental destruction. Leo created an enormous fire-ball on his injured palm.

Green eyes stared into the brown depths of the son of the flames' exuberant gaze. Head lowered for the briefest of minutes, Alabaster laughed. "I think we would have gotten along in another time-line."

Leo tilted his head in contemplation. "You really think so? I guess you and I could have been buddies if you hadn't joined Kronos' army."

They released their masses of elemental mana and fire at once. Leo was propelled straight into a cracked wall as their clash of power conjured an explosion of magical-power and high-octane flames.

A gasp of perpetual agony wrenched itself out from the pits of Leo's mouth before he coughed out multiple globs of blood. His chest and organs burned in indisputable pain. "I think I'm about to die from this!"

The sound of a loud thud drifted into Leo's ear-drums and he noticed Alabaster nestled onto the obliterated remains of a motor-bike. Blood pooled around him from the grievous injuries inflicted on his sternum.

"I guess I also took down magician-man, huh?" Leo grunted to himself, agony plastered across his bruised face. "I didn't want to kill him."

Leo glanced at the end of the streets where he and Alabaster had battled and discerned the familiar outlines of Annabeth Chase and Luke Castellan: who were running through the roads of the city.

Luke shoved his mana-inflated elbow into Annabeth's nose, drilling her into the wall where Leo had found himself embedded into. Recognition flared across the demi-goddess' eyes. "Leo?!"

A pained cough rumbled out from inside Leo's damaged trachea. "You were right, Annabeth. Demi-gods are more durable than I thought."

Annabeth clicked her tongue, somewhat amused and annoyed. "We should get you to the medical-tents—but I'm kinda preoccupied."

"I'll be fine." Leo waved an unconcerned hand around in the air. "You should be focusing on beating Luke. How's Naruto and Percy?"

"Your injuries look really bad." Annabeth noticed the several bruises decorated across Leo's exposed sections of flesh. "I'll call someone."

Luke squatted down in front of the blood-covered and unconscious Alabaster: who had a peaceful smile on his freckled visage. Closing his blue eyes, Luke whispered. "You did a good job, thank you."

Rings of mana erupted forth from every pore of Luke's body and inundated the cold atmosphere of the enormous city. A serious twinkle lingered within Luke's passionate gaze. "I will end this battle for you."

Each step Luke took trembled the sector from the power imbued into his magical-energy. Annabeth's gauntlets shimmered a bright red. A cloak of mana wrapped itself around her body. "I'll use your own spell to fight you."

"Those gauntlets." Luke gandered at the rune-adorned devices on Annabeth's arms. "I heard they turned her stamina into pure mana."

"That mana can then be used to upgrade her physical power." Luke cupped his chin. "But Annabeth is using the mana for spells instead."

The child of Hermes twisted his lips into a mad grin. "I forgot how smart Annabeth is. She's replicated the Condensed-Layer spell!"

Mana pumped itself out from Luke and swaddled his body in a cloak of mana—Luke had activated his own version of the Condensed-Layer technique. Knees bent, Luke clenched a fist. "I'll end this fight now."

Annabeth focused the mana of the Condensed-Layer spell into her knuckles—she had taken some inspiration from the basic principles of chakra control Naruto had told her. His explanations were simple but effective.

She viewed her mana as an extension of herself and channelled an even portion of it into her knuckles while maintaining the Condensed-Layer over her body.

She had transmitted a distress signal to Will Solace through her phone so the medical team could transfer Leo into one of their tents. Luke smirked, aiming a mana-enhanced hand forward. "You will lose this."

Annabeth and Luke transmuted themselves into blurs of movement before their magic-empowered fists collided. A sonic-boom and shock-wave of mana throttled everything inside of the area.

Flipping into an assortment of random vehicles, Annabeth and Luke pushed themselves to their feet and rushed at each other. A Condensed-Cube materialized itself above Annabeth's head.

The demi-goddess of wisdom swatted the mass of condensed mana down into the concrete and produced a crater of average depth. Kicking Luke's abdomen, Annabeth hurtled him backwards.

The mana from their spells and punches had canceled the other out without failure. Annoyed, Annabeth converted more of her stamina into mana to enhance her physical prowess. "You are an irritating foe."

(-)

Will Solace and Charles Beckendorf reached the area where Annabeth's distress signal had originated. Charles had been incapacitated by Luke earlier—but Will had healed his injuries.

The son of Hephaestus gritted his teeth in stunned disbelief at the sight of his bruised and blood-submerged brother. Patting Charles on the shoulder, Will smiled. "I'll have him healed up in no time, Charles."

"Thank you, Will." Charles dragged the unconscious Leo out from the cracked wall and laid him down on the ground. "His wounds look bad."

Will suppressed the urge to nod and sighed. "They are rather bad. But I'm confident enough in my abilities to at least stop the bleeding."

Analyzing the wounds strewn across Leo's blood-soaked body, Will rubbed his chin. "I should be able to close the gashes on his chest."

"We'll have to take him to the medical-tent if he has any hopes of surviving this." Will declared. "Charles, can you help carry him?"

Charles grabbed Leo and settled him onto his muscled shoulders. "Of course, anything to help Leo survive this. Luke's gone mad, I swear!"

They exited the streets and rushed towards the medical-tents they had set up before the war had reached its destructive climax. Entering an unoccupied tent, Charles planted Leo down into a wide stretcher.

Will had dawned a pair of medical gloves and a mask. Pressing his palm into Leo's wounded stomach and humming a gentle tune, the son of Apollo healed the lacerations on the abdomen of Leo's body.

"To have healed such grievous damage." Charles shook his head, amazed and impressed. "I can't believe he's become this skilled."

(-)

Kronos and Percy Jackson sprinted across the roads of New-York-City. A ginormous geyser of cold water sprang out from the concrete underneath Kronos and propelled him into the air.

A web of deep cracks were created in the street before Percy jumped upwards and aimed a water-enhanced punch onto Kronos' neck. Divine-energy decorated Kronos' fist as it met Percy's knuckles.

Particles of hardened water and weakened divine-energy leaked into the atmosphere around the two formidable individuals. Green eyes widened. Kronos had somehow disappeared from Percy's line of sight.

Percy was three seconds too late and was unable to raise his fore-arm to protect himself from Kronos' ruthless kick. Clicking his teeth in unconcealed irritation, the demi-god rolled downwards into a truck.

"I guess you decided to use your time manipulation!" Percy shouted, clenching his fingers around a shard of metal from the truck. "Damn."

Kronos had an unbothered smirk on his pale features. "Indeed! You've proven to me that you can match my mortal form in physical power!"

Time rippled and Percy felt a slash of an unidentified energy target his neck. A water-constructed barricade manifested itself in front of him, fending off the time-based attack. "What was that?!"

"I suppose I could answer your question." Kronos landed on the top of an expensive car and chuckled. "That is what I call a Time-Slice."

The titan of time flourished a pale hand. "I agree that the name is simple—but this technique is much more fearsome than you'd think."

"I compress the time around me and turn it into a slash." Kronos explained without a hint of concern. "I'm amazed you stopped it at all!"

Crossing his arms in blatant annoyance, Kronos groused. "But that also means that this mortal body of mine has weakened my abilities."

"The Curse-Of-Achilles upgraded his hydrokinesis to the point where it can even touch time." Kronos hummed. "I'll have to be careful of that."

Percy lifted a mischievous eye-brow in unadulterated mockery. "You do realize that I didn't listen to that long-ass monologue of yours?"

"What a shame." Aureate irises glinted in aggressive pleasure. "Be prepared for my time manipulation, demi-god! You will die from it!"

The son of the seas and the titan in a mortal form exchanged multiple blows in their clash of physical prowess—Percy created numerous barricades of water to stop Kronos' Time-Slash technique.

"Even if the Curse-Of-Achilles protects me from any damage." Percy parried a powerful punch and grunted. "I can't take any more risks."

An upper-cut to the jaw had Kronos flipping backwards into a tree planted onto a random spot within the side-walk. Percy moved forward—but his movements were slowed down by his adversary.

Percy's rapid foot-steps had dulled into slow tip-toes. Kronos touched the section of his jaw that had been hit and let loose an entertained laugh. "I keep underestimating your skills in hand-to-hand combat!"

A small smirk of sardonic tomfoolery graced Percy's face. "You should be asking the one who trained me. His name is Naruto or Mr. Blond."

"Naruto Uzumaki is a Shinobi." Kronos snorted, realization ingrained into his smooth baritone. "Those Shinobi are experts in combat."

Time was altered once more and Percy felt himself slow down even more than two minutes prior. Kronos kept a pale hand on his jaw. "This mortal body is not strong enough to withstand my full power."

Kronos walked towards Percy and punched his chin. Percy's head snapped backwards at an inhuman angle. "Oh? Is something angry from being hit in the jaw? Would you feel better if I apologized to you?"

The Curse-Of-Achilles and Percy were two of the last obstacles in Kronos' path of succeeding in his goal of taking control of the world again. Kronos grinned. "I haven't had this much fun in decades!"

The titan of time removed the hindrance he had given Percy's movements and jumped back to establish a good amount of distance. Rubbing a hand onto his chin, Percy smiled. "Round ten, then?"

(-)

Naruto Uzumaki had entered an alleyway and had leaned himself against a wall to gather his thoughts about everything that had transpired when he was hit by Prometheus' Rune-Of-Slumber.

Kurama had told him about how Prometheus was destroyed and defeated by a Tailed-Beast-Bomb. According to his most trusted partner, Percy and Kronos were in some type of stale-mate.

"All of this crap is giving me a huge head-ache!" Naruto groaned into his calloused hands. "At least Prometheus has been taken care of."

Leaning himself deeper into the wall of the isolated alleyway, Naruto released a small sigh from his mouth. "Thanks, Kurama. I owe you."

A guttural chuckle of endless humour echoed within Naruto's mind. "You could have handled him without trouble. I was indulging myself."

"No kidding." Naruto rolled his sapphire eyes, amused. "I saw the damage your Tailed-Beast-Bomb created when I woke up earlier."

"Don't blame me." Kurama buried his head into the orange fur strewn across his arm. "I haven't stretched my legs out in years."

The Uzumaki rose to his feet, rolled his shoulders, and stepped out of the sequestered alleyway. Coarse hands tucked into his pockets, Naruto sauntered into a destroyed section of the ginormous city.

Sympathy and empathy filled Naruto's luminous gaze at the sight of multiple corpses on the blood-stained concrete. A Hell-Hound gnashed its serrated teeth into the arm of whoever it had murdered.

A wind-enhanced Kunai embedded itself into the callous creature's skull and scattered it into golden ashes. Walking into another abandoned area of the city, Naruto glanced at the bright night-sky.

Starlight illuminated this area and brightened his acute vision. Naruto's powerful senses were tickled by the formidable presence of a familiar individual. "Atlas! I can feel his presence coming at me!"

An indiscernible distortion crashed down in front of Naruto and bashed a merciless punch into the depths of his solar-plexus. Colliding into the ground and generating a crater, Naruto closed his eyes in irritation.

Atlas had the most ferocious of grins imaginable plastered across his pale features. Dust had gathered into the atmosphere from the impact of Atlas' ruthless strike. Naruto dispelled the cloud of dust in annoyance.

"How long has it been?" Kurama let loose an excited growl and stretched all nine of his tails. "I can't believe you're fighting for real."

"Yeah. Yeah." Naruto's voice was nonchalant and dismissive. Golden molecules of chakra surrounded his body. "It has been a little while."

The titan of endurance widened his grin in absolute disbelief and glee. Sheer power rolled off of Naruto in droves. Gazing at his pale hand, Atlas chortled. "His presence is even causing my hand to shudder!"

Naruto had activated his combination of Kyuubi-Chakra-Mode and Sage-Mode. Without wasting any time whatsoever, Atlas shed his mortal coil and accessed his divine form. "It's about time, Uzumaki!"

An aureate distortion appeared in front of Atlas—whose body was covered in obsidian-coloured particles of divine-energy—and pressed his knuckles into the titan's nose. Atlas was hurtled into a bill-board.

Bending his knees and laughing in pure excitement, Atlas leaped off of the building where the bill-board had been planted and clashed his knee against Naruto's elbow. Naruto grinned. "Hope you're ready!"

A Shadow-Clone manifested its physical self behind Atlas, grabbed onto his ankle, and propelled him into several sky-scrapers—these sky-scrapers were obliterated the second Atlas' body touched them.

Naruto used some of his chakra from Sage-Of-Six-Paths-Mode to provide him the ability of levitation and followed Atlas from behind. Emerging from the remains of a sky-scraper, Atlas blurred forward.

Two hundred punches were imprinted into Naruto's abdomen in the span of three minutes. Coughing out multiple puddles of blood, Naruto roundhouse kicked Atlas downwards into the concrete of an area.

The deepest of craters were produced once Atlas had crashed into the ground. Enormous chunks of stone and metal flew across the air. Naruto remained in the skies, watching Atlas climb to his feet.

Particles of golden chakra conjured themselves onto Naruto's calloused palm in the form of a sphere—this Jutsu was the Massive-Rasengan. Atlas created a gigantic claw around his hand.

Atlas disappeared in a burst of untraceable speed and collided his enormous claw composed of divine-energy into Naruto's humongous chakra-constructed orb. An unimaginable shock-wave was formed.

(-)

Endless shock-waves rippled across the ground and atmosphere of New-York-City. A stunned Percy stared at the aureate outline of light in the distance. Percy's shock turned itself into encouragement.

"Naruto did tell us that he was the strongest in his generation." Percy's green-hued eyes remained planted on the golden outline. "Incredible!"

The sonic-booms and shock-waves conjured from the battle between Naruto and Atlas rattled the entire city itself. Kronos had found himself somewhat astonished by Naruto's power. "He's matching Atlas in his divine form…"

Naruto swung himself around and drilled the nastiest of kicks into Atlas' head, propelling him through fifteen more sky-scrapers. Percy clenched his fists in awe. "I had no idea he was this powerful!"

Countless chakra-arms sprouted out from Naruto and summoned a Massive-Rasengan onto their yellow palms. Naruto sensed Atlas before he drove his orbs of chakra into the titan of endurance.

Manifesting himself a pair of gauntlets, Atlas bashed his fists through each of the Massive-Rasengan from Naruto's chakra-arms. Dispelling his gauntlets, Atlas tackled Naruto into an unoccupied area.

The Hecate-Cabin had already detected Naruto's activation of Kyuubi-Chakra-Mode and Sage-Mode alongside Atlas' activation of his divine form. Crimson barriers of mana covered each sectors of the city.

Kronos chuckled to himself in amazement. "The vessel for the Kyuubi truly is a monstrous creature in the flesh! His strength shocks me."

"Planetary-Rasengan!"

Atlas was launched backwards from the tremendous impact of the Jutsu and grabbed by the neck. Throwing him into the area where Percy and Kronos had been battling, Naruto flew downwards.

Percy stumbled as a multitude of sonic-booms shook the planet. Atlas was nestled into a pile of seventeen obliterated sky-scrapers. Naruto body-flickered next to Percy: who lurched back. "Stop doing that!"

Naruto crossed his chakra-enhanced arms and chuckled. "You're always startled whenever I use the body-flicker to approach you!"

"Whatever." Percy had a smile of feigned irritation on his features. "But I still had no clue you were this powerful! You're also destroying the city…"

Kronos remained immobile and gandered in the direction of two silhouettes. Luke leaped back, unleashing a torrent of mana at Annabeth. The daughter of wisdom punched through his spell.

"My lord!" Luke shouted before he deflected a rune-covered dagger. "Naruto Uzumaki and Atlas are causing too much destruction!"

Annabeth flipped backwards and landed next to her friends. "Naruto! Look at how much of the city you've damaged! Be a little careful!"

"Sorry. Sorry." Naruto scratched the back of his head, letting out a laugh of innocence. "Atlas was the one who did all this! Not me!"

Percy nudged the Uzumaki in the gut, unimpressed. "You really have to work on blaming someone else. You're too obvious about it."

Naruto opened his mouth to speak—but, instead, summoned more chakra-arms and materialized a Tailed-Beast-Bomb. One of his duplicates kicked Atlas out of the pile of destroyed buildings.

Leaping into the air, Naruto slammed the Tailed-Beast-Bomb straight into Atlas and eradicated his physical form. An explosion of powerful chakra spread throughout the atmosphere. Atlas regrew his body.

(-)

A heavy deluge of perpetual exhaustion flooded Leo's mind once he had woken himself up from his unconscious stupor. Bandages were wrapped around his torso, arms, and neck. He released a low groan.

"My head." Agony erupted throughout Leo's muscles before he grunted. "All I remember is fighting Alabaster."

Leo rolled his shoulders—but they cracked against the strain of his unhealed injuries. Another torrent of pain filled his arms and collar-bone. "I think I've recovered enough to be able to stand at least."

Climbing out from the bed and ignoring the numerous cracks that rattled across his bandaged limbs, Leo exited his medical-tent. An earth-quake shuddered the ground of the area he stood on.

"Naruto?!" The son of the forges spotted an aureate distortion fly though the air. "Since when could he fly?!"

Leo stared at the crimson barricade the Hecate-Cabin had constructed over the sectors where campers were to protect them from the shock-waves of such a destructive battle. Leo grinned. "That is sick!"

Naruto stretched his arms out wide, letting loose multiple Massive-Rasengan upon Atlas and throttling him. Blood gushed out from Atlas' body. His divinity healed his wounds at unnatural speeds.

Sapphire molecules of chakra appeared on Naruto's calloused palm before he transmuted it into a Massive-Rasenshuriken. Atlas snapped his fingers, summoning a ginormous blade in the middle of the sky.

The weapon was eradicated without an ounce of difficulty by the Massive-Rasenshuriken as a burst of potent chakra swallowed Atlas: who braced himself and laughed. "Your power truly is monstrous!"

Axe-kicking Atlas' chin and propelling him backwards, Naruto smirked. He pulsed his chakra out into the atmosphere and clenched his fists. Luminous eyes of nonchalance gazed at the sky.

Atlas was unharmed and flipped onto the concrete underneath him. Humour illuminated his ebony-tinged gaze.

Naruto stayed in the air and sighed. "I'm kinda in the mood for some sleep."
