Tomomi came back to the class after she took the time to calm her nerves down. To say they were all worried, was an understatement. Tomomi came back to the class with her eyes a little red around her eyeline and lashes. Her eyes were also a little puffy and she seemed more distant than before.
But she reassured them that she would be okay, forcing a convincing smile. So they left her alone.
After Aizawa told his class to get dressed in their hero costumes, everyone met back into the arena, where there was a crowd of other students from different hero academies.
Tomomi pulled down her hood and looked around herself. There were so many people there. Before she could say or do anything else, a tall man with a hunch over back spoke to the crowd.
"Okay then, let's do this exam thing." He said, rather tiredly and boredly. "I'm from uh, Heroes Public Saftey Comission. Names Mera."
"How tiresome he is." Tomomi mumbled, noticing how exhausted he looked.
"My circadian rhythm is so screwed up, ugh man!" He said, just as his mic let out a squeak. "I've been swamped lately and I haven't gotten much rest. We're too short on staff, I'm so tired."
Everyone remained silent after he confessed that. It was slightly awkward, too.
"With that confession, I will now begin orientation." He continued on lazily. "So about the content of this license thing. The first one hundred students to pass the requirements will pass today."
First hundred? Tomomi thought, just as shocked as everyone else was. That doesn't seem too fair...Then again, when is their system ever fair?
She listened as he began talking about the rules and what they had to do. Each student had targets on their backs, whoever can hit three of them will pass.
The ground began to shake as the ceiling began to open. Soon the test would begin and Tomomi already began strategizing in her head as she placed her hood back over her head.
After everyone got their targets on, the test begun. Immediately, every other student began running in different directions while most of Class 1-A stayed together.
Everyone, stay close!" Midoriya instructed. "Let's take this as a group!"
While some believed it would work, Bakugou hated that plan. "Idiot, this isn't a field trip." He chastised. "Come on, babe."
Seeing as he wouldn't call anyone else babe, Tomomi knew he was talking about her. "Katsu-"
"No, she's with me." Shoto said, grabbing hold of her left arm. "We work better together than apart."
Bakugou got angry, like usual, and turned back to the class as he grabbed her right arm. "She's MY girlfriend, Icy Hot and I say she's with me."
"Well-" Tomomi tried again but was interrupted by Shoto.
"That may be true but she is MY twin sister," He calmly argued, tugging her over to him. "And I say she's with me."
"Can you two-"
"You really want to fight me on this?!"
"There really isn't a fight when I've already won."
"You guy-"
"You had all of your life with my girlfriend, learn to let go, you idiot!"
"Just because you're her boyfriend, for only 2 months I might add, does not mean you can replace me."
The longer they argued, the angrier Tomomi grew as she felt herself grow more and more impatient with them. They were in the middle of a test and they were acting like kindergarteners.
So, angrily, Tomomi yanked her arms from their grasps and smacked them over the head. Fists covered in ice and all. She didn't hit them hard enough to knock them out but she did make it hurt.
"OW!" Bakugou yelled, rubbing his head. "WHAT THE HELL IS-"
"Do not ever in your life fix your vocal cords to raise your voice at me, Katsuki Bakugou." Tomomi said, glaring at him with nothing but death in her eyes. "You two are acting like 5 year olds and that's a compliment."
Everyone blinked but remained quiet, not wanting to interrupt her. She was scary when she was irritated or mad.
"Seeing as 5 year olds have better control than you two." She continued. "We are in the middle of a damn test and if you two can't act like young adults, then that's on you but I will not fail because of two immature, vapid, and argumentative children can't put aside their petty arguments to focus on what is really important."
With that, she broke away from the group and walked off. Leaving them in shock and silence. The air even felt colder than usual. Even after she left.
"Should someone go follow her?" Asui asked, concerned for her.
"It's best to leave her alone." Tokoyami said, stopping her from following. "She's obviously not in the mood to talk to anyone."
So it was just Tomomi as she began carefully walking through the obsticles, which resembled an indoors city. Tomomi's eyes glowed as she looked pass buildings, looking for other students that might be after them.
Stupid guys and their stupid arguments. She huffed in her head, crossing her arms. I am in no mood for anyone's incompentences.
"I hate that I have to say that to them," Tomomi whispered to herself, already feeling bad for her outburst. "It was unbecoming-"
A blast of water nearly took her out as she quickly moved, letting it blast through a nearby wall.
She turned to see three other students in their own costumes approach them. All three were girls and they looked less than friendly. The one with water was a girl with long blue hair and light grey eyes. She had this evil smile on her face as she looked right at Tomomi.
"I heard you were what they called the 'Ice Empress." She said, crossing her arms. "You don't look like much, honestly. You will be an easy A for me."
"She's the one that was kidnapped during the summer." A girl with short blonde hair snided as she chuckled. She was dressed in some kind of feathered armor. Her quirk might have something to do with flight. "You don't look so tough, murderer. "
She struck Tomomi's nerve completely. Fury began to rise in her veins as she heard all three girls giggle like they were having a ball at her reactions.
God must really want to test her patience today.
"You know nothing about me." She said, making ice shards circle around her. "Don't piss off someone that can freeze your entire blood vessles with just one look, sweetheart. "
The girl growled and began throwing more water attacks at her. Forming them into giant tentacles. Tomomi felt shivers at the sight but she was more so tired of seeing tentacles. So tired, she was done with them for a whole lifetime.
The girl swung her arm, making the water tentacle attack her but Tomomi quickly froze it in below zero degrees of ice. The ice quickly traveleld along as Tomomi jumped ontop and ran in top speed onto the ice as it traveled over to her.
The girl quickly broke her hand away from her water as it froze completely, narrowly missing Tomomi as the ice wielder threw a blast of ice at her, sending her flying a few feet. But not before Tomomi stuck her orange ball onto her target.
The girl passed out from the impact. She landed on a wall super hard, knocking her out completely.
"Kikyo!" her other friend, with long brown hair and fiery orange eyes. She was wearing a rather revealing boxing costume. The girl growled at Tomomi and began to make her fists burst into orange energy. Like boxing gloves.
"You'll pay for that."
"If you can land a hit on me, then I'll consider paying half price." Tomomi growled back at her as she ran towards her.
The two girls began fighting with Tomomi dodging her energy punches at her.
When Tomomi was able to grab hold of both of her arms, the girl yelled. "Now, Rose!"
"Huh-" Tomomi was cut off when she noticed her blonde friend suddenly behind her and was about to punch her but she moved her head, making her punch her friend in the face.
Rose gasped just before Tomomi swung her left leg up and kicked her right in the face, sending her flying upwards. The one other time Tomomi was grateful for the fact that she was very flexible.
Tomomi swung the same leg over and kicked her friend away from her, adding ice to her foot so that it had a better impact. The girls both fell to the ground, completely out.
Disappointed that it wasn't a long fight, Tomomi just sighed and proceeded to mark their targets, signifiying that she passed the test as she was able to get three targets.
Well that was disappointing...She thought, sighing as she looked a the three unconcious girls around her. As strong as they seemed, they were pretty dumb...Oh well, looks aren't everything, yes?
"You passed," Shoto said, noticing his sister walking into the area where they took students who passed. They were supposed to wait until the test was done and, by the looks of it, Shoto was the first to finish the test. She being the second.
"Yeah, it was boring." She said, taking off her hood. "I knew you would pass with ease."
"Well, I had no other choice." He said as she sat next to him. "About earlier-"
"I apologize for my words." She said formally. "I was frustrated and I should not have taken it out on you or Katsuki-"
"You were right." Shoto cut her off, placing a hand on hers. "We were acting like children when she should be working together, rather than apart."
"That still doesn't make it-"
"You should think of yourself more, Tomo." Shoto said, jokingly. "You gotta worry about yourself more."
Tomomi smiled a little, gripping his hand. "I will once you stop worrying about me so much."
The twins laughed together as silence felt between them for a while. Shoto couldn't help but think about how she walked away from them earlier. How distraught her looked and how tearful she looked. It bothered him to see her that way and not have her talk to him. So he couldn't help but ask.
"Are you okay?" He asked, looking at her.
Tomomi looked at him, seeing as they were the only ones there at the moment. She sighed, pulling her hand away from his. "I don't know...But I do know that I don't want to face it right now...I want to try and be okay."
"That's fine but remember, I'm always here for you." Shoto promised, givign her a soft look. "I'm always here for you, Tomo."
She was grateful for Shoto. He had always been there for him when she needed him the most and she would forever be grateful of that.
The second part of the test would begin soon as everyone grouped back together again. From what Tomomi can understand, this would be a search and rescue test.
She heard Denki and Mineta bombard Midoriya about aparently seeing some girl naked and how he was so lucky with women.
"I mean, it's not fair!" Denki yelled. "First, you have our beautiful Khione baby you every chance she gets and now this?!"
"You lucky bastard!" Mineta said, crying dramatically. "She's still waving at you!"
Tomomi rolled her eyes as she suddenly noticed a girl with long brown hair, wearing what it looked like a sexy verson of a cop outfit wave at her flirtacioiusly.
She looked around herself, thinking she was waving at Midoriya, who was only two feet away from her. But, to her surprise, the girl's eyes were trained right on Tomomi.
She had a very obviously flirty smile on her pretty face as she looked over her body rather slowly, only to land her sight right on her face. When she noticed that Tomomi was looking right back at her, she winked at her and continued to smile at her.
"She's not looking at me." Midoriya said, noticing the exchange. "She's looking at Tomo-neechan."
"WHAT?!" Denki, Mineta and Bakugou ( seemingly popping out of nowhere ) exclaimed as they looked to see that she was, indeed, sending flirty looks over her way.
Tomomi stared back at her blankly, a light pink blush gracing her face. She might not be interested but she couldn't deny facts. This girl was incredibly beautiful. Any one would blush if she were to give them the same treatment.
But Tomomi was not interested in her. She was more interested in passing. Also...her eyes and heart were on Bakugou, so immediately no.
"I take back what I said." Denki said quickly. "Tomo-chan gets all of the hot girls, as well and it's not fair!"
"She's not even single and she still pulls hotties!" Sero added, also shocked.
"That flirting idiot better stay away from her." Bakugou growled.
Paying no mind to them, Tomomi was more concerned with the test. The bell rung, signifying the start of the second part of the test. The walls began to fall down as the alarm only got louder.
The test was simple. Save as many people as you can. There were paid actors all around. Adults and children, so they had to do a sort of search and rescue exam. Just as she heard.
Tomomi was about to walk off but was stopped when Midoriya grabbed her hand. She spun around and looked at him calmly. "Midoriya-chan, what are you doing?"
"I was just thinking we should stick together, you know?" He said, rubbing his head with his free hand. "Besides, you kinda walked off before I-I could ask if you were okay."
Tomomi blinked before grinning a little at him. He was so cute when he was worried about everything. "I am fine," She promised. "I promise. Let's pass this exam."
Midoriya smiled at her. He wasn't totally convinced by her words but he wasn't the one to push someone into showing emotions. So he left it alone. "Okay!"
"Also, Midoriya?"
"Yes?"
"...You're still holding my hand."
Midoriya suddenly went into panic mode as he quickly let go of her hand. "WAAHH! I'M SO SORRY, NEECHAN! REALLY, I AM!"
She giggled, planting a friendly kiss on his forehead. "You are too adorable for words." She said, patting his head before walking off.
Midoriya stood there, frozen. His face rapidly turned red as he felt steam emit from his ears. Slowly, his face went from stunned to lovestruck as his eyes turned into hearts. "S-She thinks I'm adorable~"
"Midoriya, we must go!" Iida said, pulling a dazed Midoriya along with him and the group.
