Ya'll are going to
HATE the media
after this. Just a
warning...
also, i will be using
actual children for
the search and rescue
part because it would
be weird if Tomomi
acted motherly to
very short men lol
Anyways, don't be
a ghost reader please,
and i love you all.
Happy reading, beautiful
creatures.
"How perfect." Kurayami chuckled darkly as he read the newspaper. He was taking a walk around his neighborhood when he saw the newspaper. Deciding to let his curiosity get the better of him, he bought one and went home to read it.
And what he found made him laugh a little. Not out of humor, but out of amazement. Sheer amazement. Just when he thought the media couldn't get any stupider, this happened.
"LEAGUE OF VILLAINS, NOW KNOWN FOR TORTURING CHILDREN?: THE ATROCIOUS ACTS MADE BY THESE VILLAINS AND THE VICTIMS WHO HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT."
What made it better was that underneath the headline, there were photos of Tomomi Todoroki, chained to a surgical table, looking dead with a bloody and big smiley face carved on her collarbone. The same photos that should be in police evidence locker, away from the public.
But alas, here they are. Now, all of Japan, and possibly the world, saw what happened to her. They saw her carved body and lifeless form. It was displayed for show now and there was no stopping it.
Kurayami's phone dinged, notifying him of the internet news. He looked at his phone and nearly laughed out loud. This exact news has now reached social media. There really is no stopping it now.
"Oh, this is just perfect." Kurayami chuckled darkly, looking at his phone screen. "News sure does travel fast, don't it?"
He knew this would be detrimental. All of this will only bring more consequences and he knew Tomomi wouldn't be the only one who has to deal with the pain of everyone knowing.
"What the fuck is this?!" Hawks yelled ferociously as he tossed the newspaper onto Miruko's desk. Before officially starting his patrolling, he wanted to stop by Miruko's agency to hang out a bit but when his phone notified him of trending news, he stopped to see what it was.
Only to be faced with headlines talking about the League Of Villains with photos of Tomomi's torturing on full display. Thinking he didn't see what he just saw, he picked up a newspaper nearby, only to be met with the same photos and headlines.
So he was thoroughly pissed off. Not just because someone leaked those photos, but because the kid was only 15 years old. She was still recovering from everything. The very last thing she needs is the world's eyes on her.
Miruko shared his exact feeling when she saw it, herself. Fury just boiled in her veins as she read the article off of her phone. " 'As the heroes raced to save the two missing children, the villains had already went to work with their heinous acts. Though it seemed like they weren't fast enough, seeing as the permanent damage was already done'? Who the hell let these photos leak?!"
"I don't know," Hawks said, pacing back and forth. "You think someone from the police force did this?"
"Its a theory, that's for sure." Miruko mumbled, crossing her legs. "Should have known something like this would happen...Fucking dirty cops...they have to be the ones responsible."
"Of fucking course, they are." Hawks angrily mumbled, stopping his pacing. "Yakuza has them under their payroll, they don't give a fuck what happens to those pictures...we should have burned them when he had them."
"We can't be sure that it was a couple of dirty cops." Miruko reminded him. "For all we know, a reporter in disguise probably got them...or they could have had copies of it. The villains, I mean."
"You think Shigaraki purposely gave more copies of the photos to a news outlet?"
"I have no doubt in my mind, that's what he did." She confirmed, shoving the newspaper away from her. "He's doing this on purpose. He's trying to make us look a certain way to the public and it seems to be working a little."
Hawks wanted to shred rhe newspaper right then and there as he glared at it. "But...to use an innocent kid, in the process?...You'd have to be incredibly sinister to subject her to something like this. She's already trying to heal from this...She doesn't deserve this at all."
Back during the Provisional Heroes License exams, Tomomi and Midoriya quickly caught up with the group as the second part of the test was underway. Which was basically a search and rescue test.
While the green haired boy was stunned when a kid actor deducted points from him, Tomomi went on to help a group of three little boys. All three of which were crying. Or pretending to for the sake of the test.
Seeing as they were 'trapped' under rubbles, Tomomi went over to them and froze the broken pieces of concrete and lifted them up, carefully moving the concrete away from the children.
"Hello," Tomomi said in a very gentle voice as she got closer to the children. "You all don't seem to be harmed in anyway...Can you all walk just fine?"
"Y-Yeah." one cute little boy with shaggy blonde hair said, rubbing his eye with his tiny fist. "P-Please, help us, Miss."
"Of course, I will, okay?" She said, outstretching her arms to pick them up one by one. "Don't worry, okay? I will get you to safety, I promise."
One by one, Tomomi picked up each of the little boys in her arms and brought them out of the destruction and into the safe zone. And it seemed like the little boys really liked her.
"Okay, is that everyone?" She checked to see if there were more 'children' in the broken building.
Just before any of them could answer her, the announcer announced a new stipulation in this part of the test. Villains were attacking and they had to take the extras they find to safety all while fighting them off. With Gang Orca acting as a villain.
Which kind of freaked her out. Because Gang Orca, though said to be very kind to everyone, looked terrifying. He is a very tall killer whale with dark eyes. That's a scary sight.
"Tomomi!" She heard Shindo's voice, the same guy who said all of those things to her a little while back, call to her.
She looked to see he was also helping civillians as more makeshift villains began attacking the students.
"You take the children to safety, I'll fight them off." He said.
She wanted to deny his request because she wanted to help him out but given the situation, and the fact that Midoriya is still there, she had to be smart about it. In real life, pro heroes often need back up to help civilians during a villain attack.
"Okay," She complied, nodding before turning to the little boys, who huddled together like they were terrified. "I'm going to take you to the safe zone, okay? Just try to stay calm and don't look back. Only focus on me, alright?"
She had always been a motherly person. Some would say that Tomomi would be the "mom" friend, honestly. And that's why kids love her. She just had that safe and calm aura. Kids felt safe with her.
"Alright, lets run to the safe zone and remember, focus on me and don't look back, okay?"
"Okay." another little boy stuttered out, taking her hand.
The blonde boy took her other hand and held his friend's hand with his free one. Together, they began running to the safe zone of the arena.
Of course, not without her taking down a few henchmen along the way. One even tried to pick up the boy who was holding her left hand but she swiftly stomped her foot, creating a medium sized iceberg, hitting him under his chin and sending him flying a few feet.
"It seems like Miss Queen of Arendelle has a knack for child safety." Miss Joke pointed out, smiling like usual. "She sure is cool as a cucumber during dangerous situations."
As she laugehd at her own jokes, Aizawa wanted to jump off of a rooftop. She had been saying nothing but jokes and puns the entire time they watched and he was about ready to end it all.
"Could you please stop with the terrible jokes?" He mumbled, rolling his eyes. "But you're right, she does have a overactive protective instinct when it comes to kids."
She would do well in the child endangerment department, that's for sure. He thought as he watched her get those little boys to the safe zone and proceed to help Asui and Tokoyami with helping more civilians. I can already tell what type of mother she would be in the future...Kids seem to really trust and love her.
"Please get to the new designated area as fast as you can!" Tomomi said, leading a group of children and older civilians as Ojiro held several in his arms. "Remember, don't look back! Just focus on safety."
"Please come with us!" One little girl with light brown hair pleaded, hugging her waist. "I'm scared!"
Tomomi picked her up in her arms, allowing the little girl to hug her around her neck. "It's okay, sweetie, I will get you to safety and everything will be just fine."
After the test was done, Mera announced that he has posted the results already and everyone huddled around their areas to see what they got and if they passed.
Tomomi looked through the list, looking for her name. There it was, near the top with a 93% score. She guesses it's that because of the lack of fighting she did and she mainly worked by herself, rather than with her peers. But she showed excellent skills in rescue missions and combat, when she did fight off some of the henchmen.
But, looking through the list, she noticed that both Shoto and Bakugou weren't on the list. Meaning they failed. Which she felt bad for.
"Tomo-chan!" Denki suddenly came running to her, hugging her waist and ducking his head behind her back. "Your mean and angry boyfriend want's to kill me!"
"What?" She mumbled, before she saw Bakugou hurdling over towards them, looking like he was ready to pop a blood vein.
"STOP HIDING BEHIND HER AND TAKE YOUR BEATING LIKE A MAN!" He yelled, trying to get to him.
But everytime he would move, Denki would use her as a shield. Tomomi sighed, covering both of her hands in ice and smacking them upside their heads, stopping them from running circles around her. "Stop it, right now."
Rubbing their heads, they stopped. Bakugou glared at him while Denki avoided eye contact with him.
"Hey, Tomomi." they heard a voice behind them.
She turned to see that Shindo kid walk over to her. She remembers seeing his true colors being displayed during the exams and she felt really uncomfortable with him. Especially how he just threw her torturing in her face like that at the start of this whole thing.
"Yes?" She said, looking at him with a blank look on her face.
"You did good out there." He said, smiling a little friendly. But she didn't trust him. "Especially for a first year like you."
"Watch what you say," Bakugou growled, threateningly at him.
But Shindo just waved him off, grinning. "Sorry, sorry, I'm just too honest, I guess."
"Then be honest. Don't be a two faced asshole. I doubt being a good hero means smiling and pretending you're one thing when you are really another. It's not a good look on you and it makes you look completely untrustworthy." Tomomi said sternly before walking away. Leaving him stunned. "Come along, Katsuki-chan and Denki-chan."
"Damn, she burned you!" He laughed out as he walked off with her.
Bakugou smirked, happily following his girlfriend. "Prick."
"Hey, Shoto." Tomomi whispered over to her brother, who was sitting on a seat across from her.
After the exams were over, everyone got dressed back into their school uniform and were now on the bus back to UA. While most of the students were sleep, only about 3 others were still awake. Shoto being one of them.
"Yeah?" He whispered back. Seeing as Bakugou was peacefully sleeping with his head against the window right next to her. "What is it?"
"You seemed to have been arguing with Inasa." She said.
Tomomi had noticed that he was arguing with him during the rescue part of the test and that's probably why he failed.
Shoto sighed, rolling his two colored eyes. "That guy rubs me the wrong way and I have to see him again when we take that special class."
Tomomi giggled at him. When Shoto didn't like someone, he had no problem showing it. No matter who it was. He was always so open when he disliked someone.
"Don't worry, I'm sure you'll do fine."
"I'm happy that you got your license." He said, smiling a little at her. "You handled yourself well today...I'm still sorry for earlier with Bakugou-"
"It's fine, it's in the past."
"Yeah, but I couldn't help but notice what Shindo said to you really hurt you."
Tomomi's smile fell from her face as she remembered their first encounter. Yeah, it did hurt her. And she did feel the sting in his words. But it was not something she wanted to think about right now. Or ever, if she had it her way.
She honestly just wanted to get back to the dorms and sleep, at this point.
"You are right, I was hurt." She admitted, staring ahead of her. "But...I just want to forget about it."
"Tomo..." Shoto said, sighing. "You can't keep repressing this-"
"Shoto...please." She cut him off, not even looking at him.
He looked at her with concern in his eyes. He really wished that she wouldn't repress her emotions so bad. She would never resolve them like this. Of course, he's the one to talk but still...He hated seeing her like this.
Once everyone got back to the dorms, all of their phones began to ding. "Huh?" Kirishima pulled out his phone to check the notifications. "Oh! Seems like there's trending news."
Tomomi frowned as she looked at her own phone and clicked on the news notification. What she saw nearly made her drop her phone.
In her phone, she saw pictures of her, chained down to a table with that cursed smiley face carved into her skin. Her face was barely showing but the photos still haunted her.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
She heard her screams echoed in her head as her eyes widened. Her hands shook violently as tears began to fall from her eyes. No, no, no...Please, anything but that!
Suddenly, flashbacks of her in that horrible place flashed in her mind. Everything was brought back to her. The needle, the pain, the blood, the suffering, her killing Shimesu. It was all brought back to her like a sick joke as she stared at the photos.
All of Japan knows now...everyone knows...They know.
"Oh my god." Momo mumbled, covering her mouth with her hand as she read the article. "Oh my god..."
"I had no idea it was this bad..." Denki mumbled quietly.
"None of us did." Sero added.
Tomomi could feel the entire classes' eyes on her and it made her feel very exposed. All she wanted to do was run and hide somewhere. And never show her face again.
"T-Tomo-chan?" Uraraka mumbled, noticing her shaking like a leaf.
Everyone looked at her with sincerity and sorrow as the ice wielder just froze in place, staring at her phone. Suddenly, snow started to fall around them slowly.
"What the fuck is this?!" Bakugou angrily growled, also being reminded of those two days of hell. His hands also shook as he was reminded how he was forced to watch Shigaraki poison her.
Her screams had always haunted his nightmares since that night.
"Tomomi," Aizawa tried to avert her attention from her phone but when he went to place a hand on her shoulder, she jerked away from his hand.
"Don't touch me!" She screamed, sobbing as she gripped her phone. Tears ran down her face as she backed away from everyone. "Stay away from me!"
"Tomo," Shoto tried inching towards her. But everytime he would move closer to her, she would move back. "Calm down."
"Stay a-away from me." She shakingly mumbled as the snow picked up. "Don't touch me."
Shoto jumped, looking very hurt by her words. Tomomi looked petrified as her hands kept shaking.
"Tomomi, it's okay." Aizawa said calmly, inching closer to her slowly. "It's going to be okay, just try to stay calm."
"No...they know..." Tomomi felt her heart race way too fast. Her lungs felt like they were collapsing and she felt sick to her stomach. "JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!"
With that, she ran right into the dormitory and didn't stop until she got to her room. Where she locked her door and slid down her door, huddling her knees up to her chest as she began crying. She covered her ears, trying to silence the memories of the torturing and the pain but nothing seemed to have been working.
It was then she realized that no matter what she did, she would always be reminded of what happened to her.
And now, with all of Japan knowing, she would be reminded everywhere she went.
It seemed like there was no escape and Tomomi felt incredibly alone.
I am BIG SAD
I hate doing this to
my characters.
My ocs are like my
babies. I don't want
them to suffer.
I wanted to speed past the
license exams because
I wanted to get to the new
act faster, which is
basically season 4 or the
end of season 3, going into
4.
and it's the last act before i
post the new book for
season five and so on.
which I am going to take
my time with. I want to focus
more on the other books I have
after this one is done.
Also I still watch Season
5 all the way through and I'd
rather finish that season before
posting the second book.
but anyways, don't forget to
comment and vote!
love you all and stay safe!
? ンミネ?. ? ンミホ? ンミト? ンミモ? ? ンミモ ? ンミモ'? ? ンミホ? ンミメ?
Hey so remember that
i do write for other
animes and mangas
so please do not be
a ghost reader on any of
my other books...
I just don't want one book
to be the only one doing good
while the other ones get
little to no attention.
If you're waiting for me
to update this book, read
some of my other ones and
give it attention in the mean
time. ( If you are a fan )
I mean, I don't want to seem like
I'm asking for too much
because I don't want to be that
person but I just don't want
to be seen as someone who
only writes for one fandom
I'm a multifan, I write for
other fandoms too.
I only really update faster
if I see people giving the same
energy they would when I update
this book.
If no one does, then it flops
and then I don't want to write
it anymore because no one
seems interested in it.
And I don't want to do
that.
So please don't just wait
for me to update this one
I have other books as well.
Frost Bite maybe my first
book here but it's certainly
not the only one I have.
I love you and happy reading.
"You're a fucking liar, Dabi." Was the first thing Hawks said as soon as he met with said man in an abandoned warehouse. He recently started working as a double agent for the villains. Actually not too long ago, an already, he could tell what type of person Dabi really was.
Dabi sighed, looking at him boredly as he stuffed his hands in his pockets. "What the hell are you talking about, Keigo?"
Hawks tossed him the newspaper, which landed right in front of him. Dabi looked down and saw what he meant. The headline and the horrific photos of Tomomi Todoroki were on full display.
Drowning a tiny bit, Dabi bent over and picked it up. He quickly examined the article before looking back at Hawks.
"This has anything to do with me how?" He asked, rather lethargically. As if he didn't care.
"You said Shigaraki didn't do anything too damaging to the kid and now I see this shit?" Hawks angrily said, crossing his arms. "I've said this before and I will keep repeating myself again. If we are going to work together, you have to be honest with me, Dabi."
"You call me over here for this?" Dabi replied, showing him the headlines. "And here I thought it was because you missed me or something. Wow, don't I feel embarrassed."
"Cut the bullshit, I don't have time for your games."
"I can't control what Shigaraki does in his free time." He said, tossing the newspaper back. "You, of all people, should know that. Besides, why should I even care about some stupid photos? She's no one I know."
"You're subjecting an innocent kid into your agenda and you don't think that's wrong?" Hawks retaliated, keeping his face stoic.
"I don't know if you haven't noticed yet but I am a villain. And villains don't care who we hurt." Dabi said, his face turning cold with every word he spoke. "Now if it bothers you so much, you have the free will to take it up to Shigaraki, not me."
"You would know all about hurting people, huh, Dabi?" A new voice made them jump and turned to the source.
Only to relax when they saw Kurayami walking over to them with his hands in his black jean pockets. His hood was down, displaying his man bun and his skull face completely as his hell fire eyes looked at the two with mild amusement.
"What are you doing here, Kurayami?" Hawks asked, wondering why he suddenly showed up and if he knew Dabi well.
"I appear wherever there is mayhem." Kurayami said, standing in between them. "And you both reek of it. I can feel it from miles."
"I don't have time for this shit." Dabi said, rolling his bright blue eyes. "Why the fuck did you call me over here, Keigo? You really think I would care what Shigaraki does? I have no control over him and I had no idea he would use a girl's trauma to his advantage...if he actually did it."
"Does it look like I care about your time or interest?" Hawks shot back with a glare. "An innocent girl is being used by your goons to send a message to the hero society and I'm here to tell you to back the fuck off."
"How about you make me?"
"How about the two of you shut the fuck up for a second?" Kurayami interjected, very much annoyed by their childish argument. "Obviously, you're too invested on this girl and you, Dabi, could care less..."
"You still haven't given me a definitive answer, Kura." Hawks turned his attention to the skull faced man. "What are you doing here and why do you two know each other? You playing both sides of the fence?"
"Aren't you?" Kurayami shot back, raising his eyebrows at him. "Isn't that what you are doing now, Keigo? Playing both sides of the fence?"
Hawks and Dabi stayed silent as they listened to what he had to say.
"Heroes...Villains...they're all the fucking same." Kurayami said venomously. "They do the same thing and in their eyes, they're the heroes while those who oppose them are seen as villains.
"You both are no different. The same mindless slaves, thinking what they are doing is right...And while you two are creating a blood bath, the world has to pay for your fuck ups...Those lines get mighty blurred after a while, huh?"
Kurayami looked right at Dabi. "Right? That line between what you believe is right and what you really feel is starting to erase, huh, Dabi?"
Dabi glared at him harshly before Kurayami turned to Hawks.
"And you, Keigo...You can't even think for yourself, can you? You let your past and your fucked up mindset cloud your judgement...To a point where you don't even know who's side you are really on."
Hawks stared daggers into his eyes but it did not phase him. He knew he was right.
Kurayami chuckled humorlessly as he stuck out one of his hands. His palm had a symbol of death on it as it glowed bright purple. Black smoke emitted in front of them as it molded into the shape of Tomomi Todoroki.
"Her quirk is evolving and growing more powerful by the day." He said, waving his hand to show her quirk level. "And because of Shigaraki, she's nearly over the edge...She will cause devastation if pushed all the way. I mean...nearly all of Asia paid for it when she was kidnapped."
"You're telling me that the snowstorm was her doing?" Hawks asked.
"That is exactly what I just said." Kurayami confirmed, making the smoke disappeared. "I'm only doing this as a kind gesture on my part. I didn't have to do this but then again...death knows no side"
"For a guy who knows a lot, you sure say very little." Dabi said, looking at him with intrigue
Kurayami shrugged, stuffing his hand back into his pocket. "The both of you are friends of mine...And as dangerous as that is, maybe I do care for the two of you more than I should..."
The two looked at him silently as Kurayami's body began to be engulfed into black smoke. "Take whatever I say as you will...but heed my warning." He said just as he was about to disappear. " Be careful with what you do and don't push her to the edge."
With that, he disappeared. Leaving them in the warehouse.
Just a little filler on
both Hawks and Dabi.
I think they make this more
Interesting, yes?
Don't forget to comment and
vote and I might do a scene
where Tomomi actually talks
to Dabi alone.
Love you and stay safe!
