AN: The section in the beginning with Annabeth's Girls Night was suggested by an Ao3 commentor. Enjoy!

Apparently the state swim competition In New York is in March... you know what this is fictional so pretend it happens late April/early May. Also pretend that the volleyball season is ongoing throughout the spring. I'm not going to let little technicalities get in the way of the little bit of plot there is in this.

April 15

Annabeth

"So, Annabeth, have you made any plans for prom yet?" Sarah asked excitedly.

Annabeth and her friend group were getting ready for an exciting karaoke slash girl's night at Jessica's house. They each had to provide something for the hang out, so Annabeth provided the music and the movies, Victoria provided the snacks, Sarah provided the activities, Jessica the lodging since her place was the biggest and Rebecca bought the drinks.

Truth be told, Annabeth hadn't been thinking about Prom. With everything that went on in the past couple of weeks, prom was the last thing on her mind. For one, exams were coming up soon, secondly she had a couple of volleyball games coming up as well, thirdly Estelle had been born a month ago, fourthly she was getting a bit more work assigned at her job and finally Percy was out of town for the week. So yes, those were her reasons for not thinking about Prom.

"With everything going on, I haven't honestly thought about Prom," Annabeth answered honestly.

"Have you bought your dress?" Rebecca inquired; she was finishing setting up the karaoke machine.

"...No," she admitted.

"Don't worry about it Annabeth," Jessica reassured calmly. "I'm on the prom committee and you still have some time."

"Since when were you on the committee?!" Rebecca yelled.

Jessica gently rolled her eyes. "I've told you like three times. It's not my fault you weren't listening."

"Lies!"

"Anyways," Jessica continued, making eye contact with Annabeth. "Prom will be on Saturday May 20 this year. The school rented a large ballroom in an upscale hotel in the city."

"The Plaza?" Sarah interjected.

"The school is not that wealthy."

"Annabeth, if you're free tomorrow we can go dress shopping. I know a place," Sarah offered.

"That would be great."

"Yes, Annabeth will need all the guidance she can get. She can't go to prom looking like a homeless crazy lady," Victoria cut in. She had just finished bringing the last of the snacks.

"Hey!" Annabeth protested. "Watch yourself." This only caused the group to chuckle.

"Ok then, tomorrow we go dress shopping for Annabeth." At that statement everyone cheered.

"So…who's leading the karaoke wins so far?" Victoria asked.

Rebecca made a gagging noise. "Jessica, like always."

Jessica gave them all an innocent smile. "It's not my fault you're all tone-deaf screeching cats."

"Hey!" Everyone else yelled in unison and pelted her with pillows.

About an hour later, Jessica had beat them all in karaoke again which Annabeth didn't mind. Annabeth was competitive, but she wasn't a musical genius compared to Jessica, so she took the loss in stride. The other girls (Rebecca mainly) didn't fare as well. Rebecca had taken the loss by pulling out the 'drinks' that she bought and poured them all shots.

Annabeth thought she could hold down her alcohol well. After all she was familiar with the parties that the Hermes and the Dionysus cabins threw sometimes. What she wasn't prepared for, however, was for her to become tipsy so quickly after so few (two) drinks. Rebecca must have put something in the drinks for that to happen... or she had taken more shots than she initially thought... or perhaps she was a lightweight, she wasn't entirely sure.

As it turns out, Annabeth was far more likely to share personal information when she was drunk and got more emotional.

"I miss Percy…" she cried silently. "He went to see his dad for the week in…" she was about to say underwater in Atlantis but even her drunk mind knew she shouldn't share that. "...The navy base."

Rebecca was also affected by the alcohol but in a different manner. The usually unhinged girl got even more unhinged. "Do you miss him, or do you miss him? If you know what I mean, you two can't go a week without boning."

"...Both," Annabeth sniffled. "And we don't bone all the time," she tried to defend.

"He's your first boyfriend, right?" Jessica followed up, helpfully bringing to attention to her. The Vietnamese girl didn't seem as affected as by the alcohol which was surprising given how small she was.

"He's my first boyfriend and maybe the only boyfriend I'll have," Annabeth droned, her mind reeling from the alcohol. What was in those drinks?

"A beautiful girl like yourself hasn't had another boyfriend or any other guys hit on you?" Victoria questioned before downing her drink.

Annabeth blinked at the statement. There was that thing with Luke, but she only ever saw him as a brother and never as a lover. Then there was the blunder with Connor before she started dating Percy… which just didn't work out and she rather not think about it, so Annabeth shook her head. It was also true that she had been hit on by other guys, but she always turned them down when she knew they wanted something more. "Nope...Percy's my first boyfriend and probably my future husband."

"You two are so cute," Sarah interjected, gushing like a middle schooler seeing her crush. "It's like you were made for each other."

"The dick must be good if Annabeth is considering marrying him," Rebecca said before downing yet another drink.

It is, Annabeth thought. It's very, very good.

All around her the girls started squealing.

Oh… she hadn't realized that she said that aloud.

"Oh my God I knew it!" Victoria squealed while clapping her hands. "That's why she spends so much time at his place and when she gets back she looks like she's in heaven. Sometimes she can't walk straight."

"You noticed that!?" Annabeth cried in shock.

"I'm your roommate Annabeth, I notice everything."

"His dick is big, I just know it!" Rebecca screamed clumsily before pointing a finger at Annabeth. "How big is he?"

Annabeth thought for a moment as she considered her answer. Normally she wouldn't share such information but the alcohol was really getting to her mind and making her less reserved. She downed another shot and said, "he's big."

"How big?" Sarah followed up immediately.

Annabeth took a moment, coming up with an answer that would hopefully satisfy them. "I guess you could say it's…he's...perfectly proportional."

Jessica looked intrigued. "Meaning?"

"I mean...you all know how tall he is. He's got big hands and big feet. You know what they say. Big hands, big feet, big…," Annabeth trailed off, not saying the last word but the message was there. "He's well endowed," she summarized.

"Be more specific, like how many inches," Rebecca pressed, wanting even more details.

"I…" Annabeth stopped herself, realizing that she didn't know the exact measurement. Should she know? Would that be weird? "I don't know," she admitted. "But he's big, like I was surprised the first time I saw it."

"And he uses it well, right?" Victoria asked. "Like Brendon is average, but he uses what he's got."

"Oh…" Annabeth thought of all the times she and Percy had boned. The way that his e-hem filled and stretched her to her limits until she was left absolutely boneless like a puddle. "He uses it well, very well," she emphasized. "Like… he makes me orgasm a lot—like at least three or four times per session."

Again, all the girls squealed.

"Oh my god!" Rebecca cried. "I hate you so much right now! Annabeth is over here getting dicked down by her super-hot sex god boyfriend that makes her come a lot and I'm as dry as the Sahara Desert."

"That's way better than Josh," Annabeth heard Sarah whisper. "He sometimes can manage two on a good day."

Victoria nudged Jessica. "How about you Jess? Has Gregg the basketball player made a move?"

Victoria's face flushed red. "Uh… we haven't had sex yet."

"Forget Jessica's non-existent sex life," Rebecca waved, downing yet another drink. "I need to know where Annabeth found Percy so I can find me one."

Annabeth downed another drink. "Wouldn't you like to know."

Thankfully the discussion about their sex lives changed into another topic that her alcohol muddled brain did not recall. She hoped she didn't say anything embarrassing... she did.

April 16

"How about this one?" Sarah held out a dress for Annabeth to change into. After spending the entire morning hungover from last nights girl's night, Sarah and Rebecca had brought her to the boutique where they got their dresses so Annabeth could get her dress. The place looked high end and specialized in wedding and prom dresses. Annabeth had already tried on three garments in the past hour, but she couldn't find one that she liked.

Annabeth eyed it for a moment. "Isn't this one maybe a little, I don't know…revealing?"

Rebecca inserted herself into the conversation. "That's the whole point. You want the guy's jaws to drop when you walk into the room. All attention will be on you if you wear that."

"I'm pretty sure if I wore this, I would attract the wrong kind of attention from the school administrators and chaperones."

"So that's a no then," Sarah sighed.

Annabeth took a seat on one of the benches while the attendant bought another dress. "I didn't know dress shopping would be this stressful."

Rebecca put her hand on Annabeth's shoulder. "Don't worry babes, we'll find the perfect dress for you that will have Percy's jaw on the floor," she winked.

"I'm pretty sure I could wear a trash bag and he would think I'm the most beautiful girl on the planet."

"He sure is whipped for you," Sarah commented, then she gave Annabeth a sly look. "Although I'm pretty sure so are you for him after what you told us last night."

Annabeth could feel heat rush into her cheeks as she remembered what her friends told her about the previous night. She had gotten so drunk that she didn't remember much of anything after the the...uh...sword conversation. Instead of responding, she stood up to take the next dress from the attendant.

"Oh, that one looks really nice! Try it on! Try it on!" Rebecca all but pushed Annabeth into the changing room.

As Annabeth was changing into the dress her friends had a conversation with her. "Speaking of Percy, where has he gone to? You two are usually attached at the hip and I haven't seen him all week."

"He's out of town right now," Annabeth answered. The girls must have forgotten that little detail from last night.

"What's he doing out of town?" Rebecca continued impatiently.

"If you would be quiet, I will tell you," Annabeth scolded which prompted silence on the other side. "He's visiting his dad right now."

"The one in the navy?"

"Yep, that's the one. His dad was stationed nearby, and Percy went to visit him for the week." That was the cover story anyway. In truth Percy was visiting Poseidon in Atlantis because Poseidon wanted to spend quality 'father son time.' It was endearing in a way. Poseidon was one the few gods that was more involved in their child's life. Despite this Annabeth couldn't help but shudder slightly when she recalled the sea god.

That godly train of thought made Annabeth think of her own mother who just happened to be the opposite of motherly. If you were to grade Athena on a scale of 1 to 10 in the mother department, she was sure to get something along the lines of negative five, and that was being generous. Annabeth hadn't seen the goddess of wisdom since the Giant War concluded where she commended Annabeth for a job well done…And that was pretty much it. No hugs, or kisses or 'I love yous,' just good job and a pat on the back.

Annabeth felt cheated after she went through all that trouble to retrieve that stupid statue. All that pain and suffering just for a pat on the back?

At least her Yankees cap's magic had returned so maybe that was Athena's reward, granted the goddess had removed it in the first place after calling Annabeth a 'failure.'

Yep, best mom ever!

She pushed the negative feeling as she finished putting the dress on. It wouldn't do her any good to start spiraling about Olympian parenthood or she would be here all day.

She looked into the mirror, admiring the dark blue dress she was handed. She looked nice...actually, no, she looked incredible. She didn't think she had ever looked this nice. It was an added bonus that the dress matched the color of Percy's suit.

"When will he be back?" Sarah asked from the other side of the dressing room.

"In a couple days. We text and call every night before going to bed."

Rebecca gagged dramatically. "You two are way too sweet for the rest of us. Especially after you went on and on last night about his ass and how you liked squeezing it." Annabeth felt heat rush to her face again as Rebecca started listing out the things that Annabeth shared while in her drunken state last night. "You spent like half an hour talking about his hair and how he has the best shoulders you've ever seen, which you're right, they're very nice. Then you talked about his abs and how his pecs are firm yet squishy and that's why you like to sleep on his chest, which is absolutely not fair. And then you told us about when he puts his hands on your hair while he-"

"Rebecca! I do not need you to remind me of that again!" Annabeth said exasperatedly. "Focus on the dress instead of what I said when I was drunk."

Annabeth opened the curtain and saw how her two friend's expressions changed from teasing to awed.

A smug smile started creeping on Annabeth's face. "What do you think of this one? I like it."

Sarah put a hand over her mouth. "Get that one. It brings out all your best features."

"Oh definitely," Rebecca added excitedly. "Shows off your athletic figure, makes your legs go on for miles, and…" Rebecca winked, "it shows off your curves especially your boobs. They're not small but not huge either. A good in between."

"Becca!" Sarah chided. "But yes Annabeth, I think that one suits you well."

"Great, because I was going to get it regardless!"

"Good for you! Now we just need to find you some nice shoes to go with," Sarah mused as she began rummaging through some shoes. "How tall are you Annabeth?"

"5 foot 9 (175cm)."

Sarah whistled. "You're quite tall. How do you feel about tall heels? They would really show off your legs."

Annabeth had never worn tall heels before, there just hadn't been a need for them. Usually, the heels that she did wear were short and on the more comfortable side. "How tall are you thinking about?"

"How about these?" Rebecca pulled out a pair of heels that were too tall and looked scandalous.

Annabeth's face flushed. "I'm not wearing stripper heels to prom! Why do they even sell those here?"

"Even strippers want to feel bougie from time to time. Be open minded Annabeth!"

Annabeth was about to start an argument with Rebecca, but Sarah pulled out a pair of heels that were much more sensible. They weren't extremely tall, and the heels were thicker than the ones from earlier so Annabeth appreciated that she probably wouldn't be breaking any ankles.

Hopefully anyway.

"Try these on," Sarah said while handing the shoes over. Annabeth managed to put them on without much effort.

She looked at herself in the mirror. The girls were right. The blue dress fit her perfectly as if it had been made specifically for her to accentuate her best features.

Yep, Percy's jaw was going to be on the ground once he caught sight of her.

"Oh darling you should definitely get that dress." Annabeth recognized that voice. From her side came a beautiful woman with tan skin, sea green eyes and long wavy black hair. Annabeth would never admit it, but Aphrodite looked like Percy if he was a woman.

"Lady Aphrodite, it's great to see you. What are you doing here?" Annabeth greeted courteously.

"I heard you were dress shopping for prom, and I just had to pop in to give my opinion." The goddess winked before she began looking Annabeth over. Tapping her fingers on her chin. "Yes, yes, very interesting."

Annabeth didn't want to deal with any of Aphrodite's antics at the moment. The goddess after all had promised Annabeth to make her love life very interesting. She just hoped that the goddess would say some comments about the dress and then be on her merry way to do whatever it is love goddesses do.

"Who is that lady?" Annabeth heard Rebecca whisper.

"I don't know. Maybe she works here?" Sarah answered. "She looks like she's looking over the dress."

"She's very beautiful."

Aphrodite cleared her throat. "Well dear, the dress you picked out is exceptional. I'm sure you will have a great time at your gathering."

Annabeth slightly bowed her head. "Thank you."

Aphrodite reached behind her back and pulled out a silver mirror. "Here's a gift from me. Use it to do your hair and makeup," she winked. "It's single use only, so use it wisely."

"Thank you again."

The goddess gave her a small smile before leaving.

Annabeth looked at the handheld mirror that she was given, wondering how it worked. It was single use so she would have to be careful.

"Well, it looks like you've got that lady's approval," Sarah piped in. "You look beautiful Annabeth."

Rebecca then proceeded to make an unhinged comment. Annabeth still wasn't sure how she had become friends with her. "Oh definitely. I'm sure it will make Percy feel hard. If you know what I mean."

April 29

Annabeth wasn't the biggest fan of swim meets. The air was too humid, the venues too warm, the place reeked of chlorine, the events took forever, and the cheers were sometimes too loud. The only highlight for her was getting to see Percy shirtless wearing those swim pants which was absolutely delectable.

She, Percy, and Paul had driven to Ithaca College over the weekend to cheer and support Percy for the state competition while Sally had to stay in the city to take care of Estelle.

She knew Percy had been nervous on the drive as he constantly fidgeted and couldn't sit still for a second. She put a reassuring hand on his shoulder to calm him down.

"You'll do great Percy. I know you will."

"It's just...you know, the state competition. I'll be swimming with the best in the state. It's a lot of pressure."

She pressed a kiss onto his cheek. "You'll do great. And if you want to go to Nationals in the future, you can see how you stack up against the competition. I'm sure you'll blow everyone out of the water."

"You think so?"

She kissed him again. "I know so."

He pulled her to his side. "Thank you, Wise Girl, I needed that."

"Anytime."

So there Annabeth was sitting on the bleachers along with some of the families on Percy's relay team. His team had managed to qualify for the relay so all three of the other guys were here with him. Some of the guys would participate in their own individual races as well, but Percy had the most solo races to participate in. Gods, he was going to be exhausted by the end of this.

Not that Annabeth was unfamiliar with the feeling. She herself was the captain of her school's volleyball team and she did her best to help the team take as many wins as possible. Her team had just won an important match against their rival school the week before and she had felt exhilarated. Percy unfortunately could not attend since he had to spend almost all his free time in the pool training for State, but he was there in spirit, and he made her dinner that night to celebrate.

Annabeth stood up to stretch her legs, then looked to her left and right and that's when she spotted them.

Why were Rebecca and Victoria at the swim meet? Annabeth hadn't even invited them and why were they cheering louder for Percy than she was!?

Indignation fueled her to walk over to see what her friends were doing. Victoria had a huge swim banner and was waving it around while screaming her lungs out. Rebecca had pom poms and was doing an entire cheer routine. Annabeth had to give it to them, they knew how to cheer.

"What are you two doing here!?" Annabeth hissed at them.

"Hello to you too! It's just so nice that you didn't think to invite us to this swim meet!" Rebecca responded in the most cheerfully sarcastic voice possible while waving her pom poms around.

"We're here to cheer for your boyfriend and… for other reasons too." Victoria said. "I'm mainly here to do some research on the male anatomy for my drawings."

"That's one fancy way of saying you're here to thirst over the guys," Rebecca teased.

Victoria rolled her eyes. "Oh please, you're just here looking to hook up with a swimmer."

Rebecca placed a hand over her heart dramatically. "Well, can you blame me? I don't have a date to prom, so I'm hoping to get one of these cute swimmers to go with me… and for other not so innocent reasons ."

"What happened to the gas station guy?" Annabeth asked.

Rebecca shivered. "Things just weren't going to work out between us."

"You two are seriously crazy."

"It's like you haven't met us," Rebecca commented.

Annabeth took a seat next to her friends as the races continued. They stood up and cheered loudly as Percy got another first place victory in his freestyle races.

"Excuse me, is this seat taken?" A deep voice like the seas asked Annabeth.

"No, it's not, you can have a seat."

"Thank you."

Annabeth felt she recognized that deep voice. She turned around and well enough there was her answer. Tall, deeply tan skin, athletic build, long messy dark hair, sea green eyes and a neatly trimmed beard. The man sitting next to her was the Greek Sea God. This was the first time Annabeth had seen the sea god in something different from his usual beach wear as he was wearing dark jeans, and a polo.

"Lord Po- Poseidon?" Annabeth stammered. "What brings you here?"

The winked at her. "Hello Ms. Chase. Percy told me about this event when he visited me not too long ago. I wanted to come and show my support. So tell me, how do these events work?"

Annabeth would be lying if she said she wasn't at least wary. Poseidon had visited her in a dream after the entire Giant War debacle and he made his stance on their relationship very clear. He said he would support the relationship as long as she didn't bring harm, she got the feeling the god was referring to Tartarus, or unhappiness onto Percy. And if she did… Annabeth shuddered when she remembered the warning Poseidon gave. In his eyes she had seen the sea god of old. The same one that cursed Odysseus for harming Polyphemus, the one that sent Cetus after Cassiopeia and Andromeda, the god that had Pasiphae fuck a bull and birth the minotaur. She had felt the endless power and rage of the seas behind his words, and she realized that she'd rather not have a powerful and temperamental sea god as an enemy.

She pushed the thought aside. The sea god appeared to be in one of his good moods, so she spent the next fifteen minutes explaining to the god how the events worked. The god just rubbed his chin thoughtfully as he listened. "I see, and I can sense he's not using his abilities. Quite commendable."

"Yes, it's all hard work on his part."

Percy had just finished swimming his 200 and 400 individual medley and snagged first place wins in each one by a few seconds. Things were much closer at the state level. She wondered how much closer it would get if he went to an even higher competitive level.

A couple minutes later Percy walked onto the gallery where they were sitting. His races were done for the moment so he could take a break. He had put his athletic pants over his swimsuit and a swim t-shirt on.

He waved when he saw her, but his eyes went wide a second later.

"Dad? What are you doing here?"

"I'm here to support you, my son," Poseidon greeted kindly. Poseidon stood up and embraced Percy in a hug before taking him to the side to discuss something in private.

Annabeth felt some relief and felt she could breathe easier after Poseidon stood up. She then felt someone poke her shoulder, and she turned around to see that it was Victoria.

"Is that Percy's dad, the one from the Navy? They look so alike."

Annabeth gave them a small smile. "Yes, that's his dad. He wanted to come here and support Percy."

"...You didn't tell us Percy's dad was a DILF," Rebecca added while she kept staring. "He's smoking hot. Like is that what Percy is going to look like when he's older? Goddamn!"

"I thought Percy looked like a Greek God, but his dad looks even more like one," Victoria continued with an awed tone.

"Can you two stop thirsting for his dad!" Annabeth stammered. She should have known her friends would say something unhinged. "Go back to looking for a swimmer to take to prom."

A couple of hours later, Percy stood on the podium as he was awarded medal after medal for his races. His relay team managed to get a second-place spot and were awarded a trophy. Annabeth and Paul took as many pictures as possible despite Percy's displeasure. They were doing it for the greater good (and to send them to Sally Jackson).

After taking the group photo with his relay team, Annabeth (and her crazy friends) they headed back to the car to drive back to the city. Thankfully her friends had their own ride so they could ride in peace back to the city.

Percy was leaning on Annabeth with his eyes half closed.

"Sorry," he mumbled. "Just tired." Luckily, he had showered so he didn't smell like chlorine anymore.

She wrapped an arm around his waist and helped him settle into the backseat of the car, leaning his head on her shoulder once they were both inside.

"You better not drool on my shoulder."

"I would never," he yawned. "I need to get some rest after all that."

"What did you and your dad talk about back there?"

He shrugged noncommittally. "Not much, just how proud he is and stuff. Nothing too important."

"I see."

He looked up slightly. "Is everything alright? You sound a bit down."

"Yes—well no—I guess. It's just that your dad is more active than my mom is."

"You know Athena has never been the most motherly. She's the goddess of wisdom, not motherhood."

"I know that… it's just different. Seeing you today with you dad and all." Annabeth was feeling slightly insecure that her godly parent didn't pay her visits like Percy's did.

"Hey, Annabeth," he said softly. She looked into his eyes seeing calm sea waves in them. "You don't need Athena's validation for anything that you do. There are already others out there like me or my mom or Paul or your friends that will support you every step of the way. Would it be nice if she visited from time to time? Sure, but there's already others in your life that play a bigger role that will encourage you and make you feel better when you need it."

She kissed his forehead. "Thanks Percy," she murmured. His words cutting deeply into her. Despite Athena being her mother, she never felt like a mother to Annabeth. If anything, Sally Jackson felt more like a mother to her. Sure it still stung that she was hardly acknowledged, but at the end of the day she didn't want Athena to dictate Annabeth's life. If that were true, Annabeth was sure that her life would be quite different.

As the ride continued, they both sat there in comfortable silence, her fingers tracing patterns on Percy's pants while he slowly began dozing off.

"Excellent job today," she broke the silence. "You really took home the gold."

He gave her a small smirk. "All in a day's work." He yawned again. "I need a nap and some food."

"You're always hungry."

"I'm a growing boy, Annabeth."

"You're almost 18. I'm pretty sure your growth spurt ended."

"You just don't want me to even taller than you than I already am," he whispered, his breaths evening out with each passing second before he passed out and began softly snoring.

She ran a hand through his hair and gave his head a kiss. "I'll wake you up when it's time."

PERCY

May 1

The gym was nice, the bleachers were surprisingly comfortable, and they even had concessions. Concessions! Percy regretted not coming to these events more often during the school year. Granted, their schedules had been hectic these past couple of months, but that didn't push the regret away.

If he hadn't been training so hard for the state competition, he would have made sure to attend more of Annabeth's games. Heck he was willing to skip class and skate to her school to attend her practices if it meant seeing her in that uniform. Now that State was over, he had a bit more free time before his next competition and he could now attend all of Annabeth's games.

He looked down at the court where he spotted her with her uniform on. Her long sleeve jersey really emphasized her slim yet athletic torso and don't even get Percy started on the shorts. Why were the shorts so…short? Not that he was complaining. He liked Annabeth's legs and those shorts really showed off how long and toned her legs were. They also made her ass look incredible and he was going to make sure to tell her that she looked breathtaking.

He now understood why Annabeth loved seeing him wear his swim uniform… The thought of him in his uniform and her in hers gave him an idea on what they could do in bed one day...

As he observed the action, he came to realize that he wasn't that familiar with the sport. Annabeth had only told him some basic things like the position she played and that she was the team's caption. Observing the team coordinating an offense and defense also told him that volleyball was a more team-based sport as opposed to swimming, which he thought benefited Annabeth greatly and her strategic mind. It was like playing a game of capture flag, minus the swords and bodily injuries (unless you count that girl that stopped a volleyball with her face, ouch!).

He learned from Annabeth and by talking to one of the girls sitting next to him what Annabeth's position entailed. He learned that she was the team's setter which was as the name suggests, she set the ball for the attackers. The position required careful coordination and communication between members. It also required plenty of strategy, so it made perfect sense for her.

He suddenly stood up and cheered when her team landed another point against the opponent. He made eye contact with Annabeth and gave her a thumbs up. She reciprocated the action with a broad grin.

"So, who are you here for?" The girl sitting next to him asked as he took a seat.

"Annabeth. The beautiful curly blond hair player." He replied lovingly.

"The captain?"

"That's the one." He stood up again. "LET'S GO!" He cheered when Annabeth's friend Rebecca spiked a ball over the net, landing the team another point. He sat back down a moment later.

"Are you the boyfriend?"

"Yeah, that's me. And what do you mean by the boyfriend?"

"Oh nothing, nothing," she waved him off. There was something else going on, but he didn't bother to ask, nor did he care. The game was still going strong just as the girl sitting next to him brought back memories from the past. "You're the guy she was making out with under that tree, right? The same one that gave her that huge teddy bear and were caught making out in that supply closet?"

"That would be me," Percy said shamelessly. "Why? Am I famous or something?"

The girl stared at him then shrugged. "Just a little. You two are just so sweet and adorable that it makes the rest of the school envious."

Annabeth's team ended up winning their game by a large margin. As soon as the team shook hands Percy practically stumbled down the bleachers to see her.

He found Annabeth in record time then placed his hands on her waist and lifted her up so their lips could meet. Despite her being sweaty and disheveled she had never looked more beautiful. He lowered her and pressed his forehead against hers.

"Hey," he greeted softly. "That was a great game out there. You really killed it."

She smiled back at him. "Thanks, we've been practicing."

"Really wished I could have attended more of your games though."

She gently shook her head. "You were training for state, you had your own thing going on."

"I know but… You always go to all my swim meets. I feel like a jerk for not going to your games."

She pressed her head onto his chest and wrapped her arms around him. "It's ok. And sometimes I don't go to your meets as well and I haven't gone to a lot of your basketball games."

"That's only because you have work or other things going on," he pressed. "Besides, I don't play that much in basketball." Although Percy excelled in swimming, his skills in basketball weren't at the same level. Her wasn't bad per se, it's just that the guys playing in the games had been playing for much longer than him and had honed their skills much better than him. He had played a couple of games throughout the school year, but overall he spent half the time on the bench cheering on his teammates (and getting into fights with the football captain, but what else was new?). The uniform was very nice though (blue of course).

She pressed a kiss on his cheek. "The important thing is that you're here now and you can watch my team kick the other team's asses." She pressed another kiss to his cheek. "I stink, I need to get washed up."

He wrinkled his nose. "Yeah you stink, go take a shower!"

She swatted his arm.

"PJ, I'm gonna need you to hold still for this. The more you move the longer it will take."

Percy stood in his apartment's living room as Pablo the barber took his measurements to get his suit tailored. Annabeth bought up the topic of prom to Percy and he realized that he had been wildly unprepared. He hadn't even gotten his suit tailored even after five months!

After Percy told his mother about his conundrum, she said she 'knew a guy.' Apparently 'the guy' was Pablo, Percy's barber who also happened to be a tailor. Who knew, evidently not Percy.

"So, Pablo, you're a barber and a tailor. Is there anything else I should know?"

"I'm also a certified chef. I'm a man of many talents PJ, now hold still."

The past couple weeks had been killer for the young man. He spent a good week with his father down in Atlantis just bonding with his immortal family. He saw Tyson while down there and even learned more aspects of his powers as well and how to fight with a trident. Thankfully Amphitrite treated him more like a son nowadays which is a huge plus. The goddess didn't chide Percy for leaving his dirty laundry all over his quarters and even made him cookies! He also saw his overbearing doting older sisters Rhodes and Benthesykime. He never had older sisters dote over him before so that was a novel experience. Despite all this, there was still some bad blood between Percy and Triton. Triton still held a grudge from when Percy threw a pie into the merman's face when they got into a fight. That was almost two years ago, and that dude could hold grudges like a child of Hades.

Overall, the trip was relaxing. Sure, he didn't see Annabeth for an entire week but they Iris messaged every night before going to bed to see how the other was doing.

Then there was the state swim competition. Percy's coach had really run him into the ground with the amount of practice and training he had to do. Percy blames it all on his overenthusiastic Poseidon genes for the water getting him excited every time he even set a toe in the element. He managed to win several first-place medals in his individual races and his relay team took second place which was extremely respectable.

Now the main things on his plate were finals and prom. He still had some time until finals at the end of the month, but he was less than two weeks away from Prom. During one of their study sessions at his apartment the topic came up and they shared a discussion on the subject to find out that both of their school's proms would take place on the same date. After another discussion with Annabeth involving plenty of kisses (a full on make out session) and getting handsy (and his mom embarrassingly walking in on them. Gods he was thankful they were both fully clothed), they decided that Percy would go to Annabeth's prom as her date since the venue her school rented out was much larger and luxurious. That and the food would most likely to be better at Annabeth's prom.

So here he was now, standing in his living room wearing the suit slacks and the white button down that came with the suit.

"This is a very nice suit, PJ. Did you buy it?"

"Annabeth's family gave it to me for Christmas when I visited them."

"Sweet dude, this is a kickass suit." Pablo continued taking in measurements. This experience reminded Percy of when Annabeth took his measurements to make his Halloween costume many months ago.

"You planning on swimming in college, dude?"

"That's the plan. I love swimming and competing."

"Cool, chill, I'll give your suit a little extra wiggle room in case you put on more muscle from swimming. That way you can continue wearing it for the future."

Percy then put on the vest and the jacket and had that measured as well. He wondered how much longer this would take. He was starting to get angsty from standing in the same spot for a while.

"Once I'm done with this, I can guarantee your girl's jaw will be on the floor."

"I'd rather she dropped something else," Percy responded while wiggling his eyebrows.

At this Pablo let out a big hearty laugh. "Well, you are a teenager after all."

Pablo finished making the last of the adjustments and wrote something down on his notebook. "Alright PJ, it will take me a bit to fix your suit up but I'll bring it back before prom comes."

Percy started taking off the excess articles of clothing. "Sounds great man. Take your time."

Pablo neatly folded the jacket, slacks, button down and vest and placed them all into the box. He then narrowed his gaze at the son of Posiedon.

"What's wrong?" Percy asked.

"Your hair is starting to get too long again. You'll need a haircut soon."

Percy's hand instinctively went to run it through his hair. It had started to curl near his ears signifying that he was due for a haircut soon.

"When's your prom again, PJ?"

"May 20th."

Pablo pulled out a small pocket journal. "Let's see… I can squeeze you in for a cut that day and get you extra fixed up for your big day."

"Seriously? Thanks dude!"

"No worries. I'll make sure you look your best. That way your girl's panties drop the second she sees you," the barber winked.

"That's the plan!"

Percy was sitting in his Pre-Calc class as the teacher handed out the scores to their latest test. Contrary to popular belief, the son of Poseidon had been trying his best to get his grades up and avoid getting kicked out of another school. All of that was to say that Percy actually studied for this, so he was confident that he did well. When he flipped the page, he got a nice surprise in the form of a B+.

He pumped his fist to the side. Yes, all that studying paid off!

"Percy, my man, what did you get?" Bahman from his swim team asked from the seat across from him.

"B+, how about you?"

"Same."

"High Five!" They high fived before the teacher told the class that there wasn't much left to do. He said the students could do as they wished as long as they weren't loud and didn't cause anyone any harm. That meant that most students pulled out their phones.

"What are your plans for prom?" Bahman inquired.

"I'm planning on going to Annabeth's as her date. Her school's prom takes place on the same date as ours."

The other swimmer's shoulders slumped. "Damn, you're just going to dump us like that? I thought we had a thing going on."

"A swimming thing, not a romantic thing."

"Still sucks you won't go to our prom.

"It will be fine dude. You'll still have the other swim guys there."

"I guess, it will just feel empty without you."

"Sorry, man."

"Are you guys talking about prom?" Another voice called from close by. Percy noticed that it was Mark from his basketball team. He played as the team's center and was freaking massive, probably one of the tallest people Percy had seen at 6 foot 10 (208 cm). He also reminded the son of Poseidon of Beckendorf.

"Yeah, Mark you going?" Bahman asked.

"Definitely, already got my suit ready. How about you guys?"

"I'll be going," Bahman said sulkily. "Percy will be ditching us to go to his girlfriend's prom."

"Dude!" Mark cried. "You're ditching us? What happened to bros before ho-"

"Don't even finish that!" Percy cut it. "Come on guys, don't be so dramatic. It's only one night."

Mark shrugged. "I'm just saying, your girl must be something else if you're going to ditch the swimming and the basketball team."

Before Percy could even say anything, Bahman interjected. "This boy is so whipped for his girl that it makes the entire swim team gag."

"Same with the basketball team," Mark agreed with a deadpan tone.

"Hey!" Percy defended. "It's not my fault she's so pretty and perfect with the cutest smile that could melt you. But she also has a darker side when she's angry. The way those stormy gray eyes narrow and when she tries to kill me by cooking for me…" Percy trailed off thinking about Annabeth. "And that's not mentioning how much I love how long and toned her legs are and her hair so nice, bright, bouncy that I like to take in my hands..."

"Like I said," Bahman continued. "He's an absolute simp."

"He just told us that his girl was trying to kill him with her cooking, and he thinks it's the most adorable thing ever," Mark deadpanned. "He's too far gone."

Prom was now less than a week away. Luckily Pablo had just returned his suit, so Percy tried on the slacks and button down to see how it fit and wow. He had never looked like this, not even when Hermes sent him and Annabeth to Paris for their one-month anniversary. As he took in his image in the suit (he agreed with Annabeth's comments about his ass. The slacks made his ass look great!), there was a knock on the door.

That was strange. His parents were out at the moment with Estelle at her doctor's appointment and Annabeth would have texted him if she was coming over, so who could it be?

It better not be Apollo again.

He pressed his eye on the peephole and was met with frizzy red hair. His spirits immediately brightened; he knew that hair anywhere.

He quickly opened the door and there stood Rachel Dare.

"Rachel! What's up?" He greeted happily. It had been a while since he had seen Rachel since she went to a private school in another state.

"Hey Percy! I was just in town and—WOW… what's with the clothes?" She grinned as her eyes kept looking him up and down.

"Proms in a couple of days and stuff, just trying out the suit. What do you think?"

She kept looking at him. "Well at least you won't go dressed like a skater, so that's always good."

"I thought you liked my skater vibe."

"I do," she said simply. "Will you let me in? It's rude to let a lady stand outside in the cold."

He poked his head outside and dramatically looked to his left and right. "I don't see any ladies here."

She punched him in the stomach with hardly any force. "I don't know how Annabeth puts up with you."

"It's the food. Once you get a taste of the Jackson recipes, you never want to leave." Percy motioned her inside and she took a seat on the couch. "Can I get you anything? Something to drink or something to eat?"

"Nah I'm good. You should probably change out the clothes before you get it dirty."

"Good point." He went back into the bedroom where he quickly took the dress chlothes off and changed into some gym shorts and a t-shirt. He hung the suit on the hanger and placed it in his closet then made his way to the living room. "So, why are you here?"

"Can't a girl just visit one of her friends whenever she feels like it?"

He raised an eyebrow. "I hope you're not about to send me another prophecy. I've had my fair share of them to last a lifetime."

"Actually yes, that's exactly why I'm here."

Percy could already feel his heart rate increasing. Gods, why couldn't they just leave him alone. Percy was pretty sure he would start crying soon.

Rachel laughed at his expression. "Don't worry it's nothing like that."

Percy felt a weight lift off his shoulders. "Then why are you here then?"

"I'm in town for a bit, just wanted to pay a visit to my bestest friends Percy and Annabeth."

"Aww, I'm one of your bestest friends?"

Rachel scoffed. "Regrettably."

"Watch yourself, Dare."

"Anyways, getting back on topic. I was visiting and caught wind that Annabeth's prom was taking place in a hotel that my dad owns so…"

"...And where is this going?"

She rolled her eyes. "Gods you're so slow sometimes. I could get you a reservation at the hotel so you can have some alone time during the weekend."

"Oh…" Percy started thinking about what this meant. A stay in a nice hotel room, just him and Annabeth and no one else. Well, that was a very enticing offer Rachel was proposing. "That sounds great Rachel! I'll take you up on that."

"I knew you would. I'll send you and Annabeth a text with the info once it's set up."

Percy pulled her into a tight hug once she stood up. The oracle was a couple inches shorter than Annabeth so he couldn't rest his chin on top of her head like he could with Annabeth.

"Thank you, Rachel," he whispered.

"It's no problem, it's the least I can do after the two of you saved the world twice."

"Let's not make it a third."

They were saying their goodbyes when Rachel threw in one last sly comment. "I just know Annabeth's going to drop those panties once she sees you in that suit."

He laughed. "That's the idea. I'll see you around."

May 19

As it turns out Rachel got them three days at the hotel. The entire weekend to be exact. Unfortunately, they couldn't skip school on Friday to check in so they would check in the afternoon after getting out of school.

Percy was just making sure that he had all his things packed for the weekend. Extra sets of clothes, toiletries, his suit and… of course he had to bring some condoms. What kind of prom weekend would it be if he and Annabeth didn't at least screw around a bit (or a lot)?

Annabeth had also packed her bags earlier and was waiting for him to finish packing so they could head to the hotel.

On their way out, his mother gave them both very stern talks.

"I know that it's a special weekend and all, but please-" she looked at the two of them. "Promise me you'll be responsible and not get in trouble."

"When have I been known to get in trouble?"

"We could be here all day if you want me to answer that," she chuckled. She embraced the two of them in hugs and then walked them down to the Prius where Paul would drop them off at the hotel.

"Fun weekend ahead?" Paul asked slyly as he drove the pair to the hotel.

At this point, neither one of them got embarrassed when either of his parents talked about what they did in their alone time. They've already gotten as much teasing as one could get.

"Yep," Annabeth answered easily. "Lots of things to do. Check in, order food, watch some movies, get dressed, prom, afterparties," Annabeth stopped to wink at him, "and get very close to each other."

Paul laughed loudly. "Ha! Well you kids know what you're doing so we don't need to worry."

They checked in shortly after Paul dropped them at the entrance. After being given the card keys to open the room, they took the elevator upstairs. Percy, being the gentleman that he was, carried Annabeth's bags in addition to his.

"Your school must be wealthy if they can afford to rent out a ballroom in this upscale place." Percy commented. He had been impressed by the lobby earlier and even the elevator seemed to be carved out of the gold and had intricate designs. "Bet you loved the architecture of the place."

"First thing I noticed."

Rachel had really outdone herself with the room that she booked them. The room was huge and spacious, with a large wall size window giving them a perfect view of the city. The bed was king sized and neatly made. Across the bed, a large flat screen TV was mounted to the wall and they also had a desk and a couple of couches spread throughout the room.

Percy did the first thing that came to mind, which meant that he dropped their bags and threw himself onto the bed. This was possibly the softest bed he had ever been on. It felt like he was sleeping on a cloud, and he could just doze off at any moment.

Annabeth sat on the bed close to him, placing her hands on his shoulders and started massaging his back which caused him to purr.

She laughed. "You're like a cat."

"The bed is soft and you're working out the stress in my muscles. I feel like I'm in heaven."

"The concierge said there's a pool if you want to check it out and do some laps."

"I don't want to think about swimming right now," he complained softly. With his performance at state, he had qualified for the junior nationals in the summer. He would be swimming against the best young swimmers in the country now. The bar was higher than ever.

Since summer was quickly approaching, Percy would have to mostly train by himself with some help from his AHS coach until June. From there, the Berkeley coach would take over his training. The two had a lengthy phone call not too long ago where Percy was able to join the team without trying out. The older man said that Percy's state performance was proof enough that he should join the team and he would be happy to have a son of Poseidon on the team.

He flipped onto his back and pulled Annabeth down so she was laying on his chest. He pressed a kiss on her head as she wrapped her arms around his waist so they stayed together wrapped in each other's space. He truly believed that he was in heaven at that moment. A warm soft bed underneath him with his lovely girlfriend laying on top of him while he pressed kisses onto her head. Nothing could be better than this as he felt sleep slowly starting to overtake him.

"...We should get something to eat?" She suggested although her voice was slightly muffled against his chest.

"We could order pizza?" He offered while pressing another kiss to her head.

She kissed his neck. "Ok, I'll order some and grab a quick shower. How about you?"

"Margherita with pepperoni?"

"I meant more about showering with me, but the pizza's choice is also good."

He suddenly didn't feel so sleepy after all. He kept her there, not letting her move away from him. "How about we shower together and then we order that pizza?"

She gave him a hungry look. "I like the way you think."

They gathered some clothes and went in to explore the bathroom. As one would imagine, it was luxurious with a large sink, a huge shower and plenty of complimentary towels, toiletries, and bathrobes.

That didn't really matter as Annabeth stripped his clothes off, had him sit on the built in shower bench and proceeded to suck the life out of him from between his legs until he was left gasping for air (she was getting way too good at this). He wasn't going to take this sitting down. He pressed her up against the wall and showed her that he did not play around until he left her legs as weak as wet noodles. He honestly wouldn't mind drowning between Annabeth's legs.

When she suggested shower sex, he ran back into the room wet and buck ass naked. He reached into his bag and haphazardly pulled out some condoms before making his way back to the shower. He had never been so thankful for godly stamina and the water boosting his libido to even higher degrees as they made good use of the built in shower bench. Annabeth had him sit on it again as she rolled the condom on him and then sat on his lap guiding him to her entrance and fucked until they were moaning far too loudly in the large shower.

After all that, they got showered and hoped the walls were soundproof.

The pizza arrived half an hour later. They were both snuggled together in bed, wearing their pajamas while watching reruns of the Golden Girls.

"I sometimes wonder if we'll ever get to old age," she said quietly. "Demigods usually don't live that long."

He pulled her closer to him. "We've made it through everything else. I think we can make it through adulthood."

She took a breath. "I'm just scared… for the future. I want to be old and gray and know for a fact that I lived a long fulfilling life."

He pressed a kiss to her forehead. "You're Annabeth Chase. If there's anyone that can do it, it's you! Who knows, maybe 100 years from now you may go down as the longest living demigod in history."

"And you?"

"Don't worry, I'll be right by your side the entire time. I'll make sure to live as long as you."

"Considering your track record, that doesn't seem likely."

He flicked her forehead. "You just ruined the mood Annabeth."

She cuddled up to his side while they continued watching the show. As the show ran, Percy felt there was something familiar with one of the old ladies. Rose was her name and Percy couldn't help but feel like he had seen her before somewhere. He raked through his brain trying to find the connection.

"Oh shit!" He yelled, startling Annabeth.

She looked at him like he was crazy. "Percy, what the hell was that for?"

He pointed to the TV, finally recalling why Rose looked so familiar. "We... or I actually more like it, we met before."

"Met who?" she asked with a raised eyebrow. She probably thought he was toying with her.

"Betty!" he said excitedly. "Betty from when we flew to San Francisco."

Annabeth stared at him and then back the four old ladies on the television. "So you're telling me we met a celebrity on the plane and you didn't recognize her?"

"In my defense, she never told me that she acted and this is the first time I've watched this show." He defended himself. "And why didn't you recognize her, if you're so smart?"

"...I hardly talked to her, you were the one flirting with her. How was I supposed to know?"

"I was not flirting with her," he scoffed. "It wasn't my fault that you were horrible company on the airplane."

"You ignored me in favor of talking to her!"

"Yeah, cause she was actually nice and didn't make fun of me for being scared of planes."

Annabeth paused for a moment before she started laughing. "Oh gods, you were so terrified that it was hilarious."

Percy felt indignant. He had a genuine fear of being up in the air and she was making fun of him. "You know what. Yes I was flirting with Betty. Her cookies are way better than yours."

"I fucking knew it," she gasped dramatically. "I should have known cookies were your weakness."

They went back and forth until Annabeth stuck her hands in his armpits and started tickling him. He tried to resist, but lost that battle real quick and was left breathing heavily, with his stomach hurting from laughing so hard.

After eventually calming down, they snuggled together just as sleep's arms drew them in and they dozed off into a gentle dream state.

AN: So this chapter was mainly filler in preparation to the final two chapters. I wonder what other things Annabeth could have said while she was drunk 👀.

In my head, Annabeth gets chaotic, horny and slightly emotional when drunk while Percy gets very clingy, affectionate and emotional 🍷
The section with Poseidon was inspired by this fic His Warning by Thejudgingtrash on Ao3. It made me think since Athena warned Percy about his relationship with Annabeth, odds are that Poseidon also had a discussion with Annabeth given how protective the god is of his children 🌊🌊

Episode 3 of the show this week. Everybody was just so sassy lol.
Annabeth: She met a hero's fate
Percy: She met a pinecone's fate
That line had me cackling
And then just Percabeth just straight sassing each other the entire episode and the famous: "I am Impertinent!"

Only two chapters left now, which also happen to be two of the longest chapters in the fic. I'll have it up next Saturday (1/6) if all things go well. 😅
Happy Holidays and Happy New Years! 🎉🎉
