We were walking around the forest as I counted the money in my hands.
"I still can't believe you won!" Red sulked as we continued to walk.
I just hummed at him while I finished counting the money.
"Hm.. 169 Pokedollars.." I said in satisfaction as I put the money in my pocket.
"No fair! Why don't we split the money?!" Red said as he tried to take the money from me, while I tried to pry his hands off me.
"No, you lost remember?" I said as I slapped his hand away.
"But.. You only got your Pikachu yesterday?! Don't tell me you've been training secretly behind my back?!" He said as he rubbed his hand.
"No, I just used tactics to defeat you, fair in square." I said as he huffed at me.
"Anyways, why did you bring me in the forest?" I said, I then looked at the sky as rain started to pour down on us.
This is where Red met Team Rocket and the Phantom Pokémon, Mew..
I thought.
"It's raining.. It will probably rain heavier later.." I said.
"Yeah..- Oof!" Red dropped down on the ground.
"Ackk!"
"S..sorry!" Red apologized.
"Hey watch it little maggot! We're searching for the Phantom Pokémon! Get lost!" The man in black clothes with a red R on the middle said, as he ran off grumpily.
I looked at the man before to Red as I helped him stand up.
"You okay..?" I said as i pulled him up.
"Yeah, but what does he mean by the Phantom Pokémon?" He said curiosity in his tone.
"..I don't know." I lied.
"Hmm, why don't we go catch the Phantom Pokémon first then!" He said as he dragged me with him.
"But I don't want to partake in any of your plans...!" I whined.
"Too bad!" He said.
We continued to walk in the rain after battling some Team Rocket grunts, as we search for the Phantom Pokémon Mew.
"We're going to catch a cold after this.." I said as I beaten one of the grunts.
"And? At least it'll be worth it if we catch the Phantom Pokémon!" Red as he sent back Poliwhirl to his Pokeball.
I sighed at him before continuing our search.
After battling some grunts on the way, we heard noises coming nearby us.
"Heard that..?" Red said.
We turned around to see the Mew.
"I-it's the Phantom Pokémon!" Red said as he pointed his finger at the small Pokémon.
"(It's nice to see you again, child.)" Mew said before disappearing off in the forest.
Is it referring to me or Red..? Probably me, since Red doesn't even know they exist..
"Tsk! It disappeared!" Red yelled.
"Come on! We need to find it!" Red yelled as he dragged me with him.
"Could there be a day without you dragging me all the time?" I said irritatedly as he laughed at my expression.
He then stopped running as we saw the same pink Pokémon and an orange hair kid battling.
It's him..!
I watched as they battle until the boy sent his Charmander back in.
Red then stepped in.
"What are you doing?! You almost had it! Out of my way, it's my turn!" Red said as he sends out Poliwhirl.
Oh my Arcues... Why can't he just stay still for once..
I sighed at him, knowing he'll lose to Mew.
And as I thought, the battle ended after a few minutes with a worn out and devastated Red, as Mew disappearing off to who knows where.
"I..I lost..?" Red said not believing what just had happened.
"Couldn't you tell from the battle i just had that it was stronger than me? That is why I called back my Charmander." The boy said with a triumphant smile.
"You have to know your limitations. Otherwise, you're only beating yourself." The boy said as he walked off from the scene not before looking at me.
I was left there with a devastated Red, standing in the rain.
"I can't believe I lost..." Red said devastatedly.
I was now back at my home with a cold.
I knew I shouldn't have gone with Red, going into the forest knowing it'll rain.
I layed on the bed as I scolded myself for going in the rain.
I then heard the door of my room opened and saw Mom with a bowl of soup.
"Do you feel anything terrible, Crimson?" She said worriedly and I shook my head, no.
"No, just tired that's all.." I said and she nodded.
"What are you doing in the rain anyway?" She said as she put the bowl down on the nightstand.
"..Training, I guess.." I said.
"Like father and daughter, I suppose." She said with a chuckle.
"As if I could be as good as Dad.." I said sulkily, I wonder how's he doing right now? More importantly, is he even alive right now?
"Now now, maybe one day you could be even better than your father. Probably even surpassing him." She said.
"Probably...?" I said with a look.
"Alright, enough of that. Drink and eat your soup and go to rest alright?" She said as she left my room.
I then sighed in my bed as I sat up.

Me and Red were going to Prof. Oak's lab to learn what it is about being a Pokémon Trainer, since our parents forced us so.
"I can't believe we're going in the weird professor's lab.. I wonder what he does there..? Probably some-" Before he could even say some other things, I quickly shut him off.
"Red, it's not good to talk to people like that. Especially to a Pokémon Professor, maybe our moms our right about him teaching us what it means to be Pokémon Trainer. Plus, it'll probably improve our learning about on our Pokémon." I said and I heard him grumbled.
"I hate it, how you're always right..." He grumbled to himself as he crossed his arms.
After some few steps of walking, we finally arrived at the front door of the lab.
"It's huge.." Red muttered out as he stared at the white building.
"Come on, let's go in and see what's inside!" He said and grabbed me by the arm dragging me with him.
"Do you have a habit of dragging people with you?" I deadpanned and he just shrug his shoulders.
When we got inside the lab, we were meet by a clean, neat, and shiny place.
"Woah.. This is the crazy Professor's lab?" Red said in awe.
"I thought it'd be a lot messier." He added.
We continued to look around the place as I saw four red Pokedex lying on the table.
4? Isn't it supposed to be 3? Did my existence made a small change here?
I thought as I checked the Pokedexes lying down on the table.
"Hey Crimson! Look over here!" Red yelled from the other side.
I turned my eyes away from the Pokedex as I began to head my way to where Red is.
When I got there, i saw five Pokémon sitting on the table as Red checks on them one by one, and a certain black and blue Pokémon in the table caught my eyes.
Wait.. Why is there a Riolu here? There's not supposed to be a Riolu here.!
I said in my head as Red started to put his hands on one of the Pokémon on the table.
He then turned around showing me while holding the Bulbasaur in his hands.
"Look! A Bulbasaur!" Red said with a toothy grin.
"What are you doing? You're a thief, aren't you?!" An old man's voice came from behind us.
We looked at the person who said it and saw an angry Professor Oak.
"Waaaahh?!" Red jumped, as all the Pokémon shook in fear from his sudden shout.
"You idiot!!" Professor Oak yelled and all the Pokémon jumped at him.
"Oooff!"
The Pokémon took off running leaving an angry Professor Oak and a scared Red, and me.
Professor Oak stand up and looked at us angrily, well Red mostly.
"Grrrr!! Look what you've done!!" Professor Oak angrily yelled.
"I'm... I'm so sorry!" Red apologized, while I stayed in the sidelines innocently, watching the scene.
It was all on Red.. I didn't do anything.
I said in my head truthfully.
"Just get them back!!" Professor Oak demanded.
"Okay!!" Red said as he dragged me with him.
"Why are you taking me with you?! It's your fault in the first place!" I yelled.
"Shut up and just help me find them!!" He said as we got out in the lab, and I begrudgingly agreed to help him.

"... Maybe i was being too harsh..." Professor Oak said to himself.
Professor Oak then got out of his lab hoping to find the other missing Pokèmon.

"You go the other way! I'll find the other three Pokémon!" Red said and I nodded my head.
We go in opposite directions as we try to find the missing Pokèmon.
I'm in charge for looking the Riolu and the Jigglypuff.
I tried looking around outside the lab, hoping to find the small Jigglypuff.
After some seconds, I've finally found her around some bushes.
"Found you." I said, I picked the Jigglypuff up in my hands as it struggled to get out from my grip.
"Stop struggling... I want to help you go back..!" I said, and it finally calmed down.
I then took out a pokeball and poke it on the Jigglypuff's head.
It didn't resist so it made the catching a lot faster.
I then pick up the pokeball and continued my search to find the other missing Pokémon.
Now, where would the Riolu be hiding?.
I thought as I strolled in the forest, I stopped walking when I felt something coming from the other part of the forest.
My guts tells me to follow it so I did what I would do, I followed that certain feeling and I came across the Riolu.
It seems to be looking for something.
I tried walking closer to it but it felt a sudden presence and threw a hard kick at me in the face.
I didn't dodge the incoming attack in time and I was hit on my nose.
"Ackk..!" I hold on my face, well my nose. I'm pretty sure it's gonna bleed.
I took my hand off my nose and saw blood.
"Fuckk.." I said.
I then looked at the Riolu who seems to be looking for something.
He didn't notice I was coming behind him and I took this as an opportunity to grab him.
When I did so, he was yelling and struggling, even hitting my hands with his paws.
"(Let me go! Let me go!)" It yelled as it struggled to get out of my grip.
"No. You're coming with me, now be good." I said and took out a pokeball and poke it on his head.
I waited for a few seconds for stars to appear.
But it failed to catch him, it got out of the pokeball and looked at me with anger.
Huh..? Cute.
His expression is quite cute actually.
However when I lowered my guard down, he smacked me on the head, hard.
"Ackk?!" I held my head as I looked at the Riolu with an irritated expression.
"(Ha!)" He looked at me with a smug smile.
"You little..." I looked at him, stopping the urge to throw him into a tree.
He pressed his hand on where his lower eyelid and pulled them down while sticking its tongue out.
I looked at him with twitching eyes, a balled fist, and a forced smile.
"That's it!!" I yelled.

"Aha! Finally got you!" I said as I put the Spearrow back in the Pokéball.
I then looked towards the sky.
"I wonder how's Crimson doing..?" I said.
"RIOOOLU!!" I heard a loud scream from a Pokémon in the distance, and a flock of other Spearrows flew in every direction from the sudden scream.
"Crim..son..?" I said in confusion.
Did.. she.. No, it's probably not her right..? It's probably not that blue Pokémon as well that.. just screamed.. Haha..
I thought as my mind wandered back to the blue Pokémon in the lab.
"No, it's definitely her.." I said, I wonder what kind of Pokémon that was..?
No! There's no time to think! We need to fine the other Pokémon!
I said in my head as I only need to search the other Pokémon, Bulbasaur.

I went back into the Town Square of where me and Red fought before, while holding the Riolu.
"(Let go of me!)" The Riolu said angrily as I hold him upside down on his leg.
I tried to ignore him but he makes my sanity go into the brink of insanity.
He continued to pester me until..
"No! I said no! I AM NOT LETTING YOU GO!" I finally snapped and yelled making the Riolu shut up as my eye went wide in shock.
"N.. No what I meant i..is that..-"
"(Y..you can understand me?)" Said the Riolu, while I nodded my head meekly.
"Y-yeah.."
(So it was you...) Thought the Riolu.
I continued to walk trying to ignore the awkward silence between me and the Pokémon.
When we finally got into the destination I could see Red trying to capture the Bulbasaur.
I tried calling him when the Bulbasaur suddenly fled away into Route 1.
"I'll... I'll go after it!" Red said.
"Nice try, but you're not going anywhere, thief!" Professor Oak said as he blocked Red.
"But I'm not! I'm sorry I trespassed onto your property and I'm sorry that I accidentally let your Pokémon loose, but we have to get them back!" Red desperately said in a pleading manner.
"He's right Professor!" I said as I backed Red up, the two of them just now notice I was now here.
I gave the Pokéballs back to Professor Oak as he checked at them.
"... It's too late now... That Bulbasaur left Pallet Town. It could be anywhere now." Professor Oak said in distress.
"Don't worry. We'll get it back, right Red?" I said and I looked at Red who looked at me before nodding.
"Alright, I'm coming with you. After I get my Bulbasaur back, you two better believe that I'm going to turn you two in!" Professor Oak.
Hey! Why are you also turning me in?! I didn't do anything!
Me, Red and Professor have been looking around for the Bulbasaur in Route 1 until we eventually got in Viridian City.
"Huff... Huff... We've made it all the way to Viridian City, yet there's still no sign of that Bulbasaur. Where could it be hiding? Maybe someone here has seen it." Red said as he looked down looking gloomy.

"Let's split up to cover more ground. Don't you two dare to run away!" Professor Oak said as he walked off.
"What now..?" Red said as his shoulders dropped down.
"Follow him of course." I said as I started to walk off leaving Red.
"Huh..? Hey-! Wait!" Red shouted as he ran towards my side.
We talked to the townspeople asking if they've seen Bulbasaur, but it's more like Red's do the talking while I wait for him to get some info about the Bulbasaur in the Viridian City Gym.
I then thought about exploring the Viridian City.
I continued to go north, hoping to see the same old man who was blocking every paths in the game.
And fortunately, he was there. Lying down the road.

"My name is Martha!! The last name is Farkner!!"
"Okay..."
This is weird..
I then gone back to where I was waiting for Red and an idea pop up.
Wait... I remember that there's a chance that you get to see Yellow in the day..
I went to the back of the school and saw three children playing around.
Ah! It really is her!
After some time, Red came towards my side with a happy face.
"Crimson! I got some info saying they've last saw the Bulbasaur going in the Viridian City Gym!" He said.
"Good to hear that." I said.
"But.. I don't know where the Viridian City Gym is actually.." Red as he rubbed the back of his neck.
I looked at him and sighed.
"Come on, I know where the Gym is." I said as I led him towards the Viridian City Gym.
On the way we could see Professor Oak asking a civilian.
"Professor!" I called out to him and he cut off his conversation with the civilian and he walked towards us.
"What is it? Did you found the Bulbasaur?" Professor Oak said and we shook our heads.
"No, but we found a lead. He's in the Viridian City Gym." Red said.
"Gym..? How could he possibly end up in there..? No matter, let's go before he gets away again." Professor Oak said as went towards the direction of the Gym.
Me and Red looked at each other before following Professor Oak.
When we got in the Gym, we were meeted with old structures and statues of Giovanni, and a Pokémon cry.
"(Bulba!!)"
"Alright! We've found it!" Red said with huge grin on his face.
He then walked towards a statue of Giovanni.
"What a weird statue..." He said.
"Red the Bulbasaur.." I said and he looked at me before the Pokémon.
He gently approached the Pokémon hoping he wouldn't scare it away.
"(Bulba...)" The Bulbasaur said as he looked at Red, scared.

Before Red could even get closer to the Bulbasaur.
He was beaten by Professor Oak, who dashed inside the building.
"Professor Oak!!" Red said in surprised at the sudden appearance of Professor Oak.
"I'll take it from here. Just come to daddy, little Bulba-..." Before Professor Oak could even finished his sentence, Bulbasaur's vine bitch-slapped Professor Oak in the face, (Lmao, just kidding) Bulbasaur kicked Professor Oak in the face.
"Oofff!! Now really?! I'm your owner!!" Professor Oak said angrily.
"Don't be afraid, Bulbasaur." Red said as he comforted the scared Pokèmon.
"..." The Bulbasaur looked at Red warily.
"Of course you're nervous. It's your first time you've been ever out of the cramped up PokéBall." Red said hoping to ease up the nervous state of the little Pokèmon.
""..."" Me and Professor Oak looked at Red while he tried to help the Pokémon's nervous state.
The Pokémon looked at Red and jumped in joy, as he looked at Red with a big loving smile.
"Yeah, that's a good boy. Are you hungry?" Red said with a loving smile as he played with the Bulbasaur, but that was quickly ended when a sudden appearance ruined the sweet moment.
"It's... It's...!!" Red said as he looked at the big bulky Pokémon.
"A wild Machoke!!" Professor Oak shouted.
The Machoke suddenly tackled Professor Oak, the latter flew across the room and landed on the ground.
Professor Oak passed out due to the force of it's attack and layed down, unconscious on the ground.
One of the Pokéballs rolled across the room towards my feet and a certain blue Pokémon came out.

"Professor!! What's Bulbasaur's best attack?!" Red said in panic as he waited for the Professor's response, but nothing came.
"Damn it!! What now...?" Red said angrily.
I looked at the situation in front of me and felt a sudden uselessness.
The professor has fainted and a wild Machoke is here.
Red is going to defeat the Machoke anyway, but what about me? Stand here and watched everything uncovered.
I clenched my hand and I didn't notice it until the Riolu grabbed my arm.
I looked at him confusely before I turned my attention towards my hand which is now white and a small amount of blood came.
"(If you don't want to feel useless then help.)" The Riolu said as I looked at him before nodding my head.

When I was about to walk towards Red's direction, the Riolu pulled my sleeves down and I looked at him with confusion.
"(Use me, I just want to test... something..)" He said and I nodded my head despite the confusion in me.
I looked at Red who was thinking about something.
"Wait... It has a bulb and if there's sunlight, then... I've got to try it!!" He said.
"Red!!" I called out to him and he looked towards my direction.
"I'll help you, now we should hurry!" I said and he nodded his head.
The Machoke glared at us and used Karate Chop.
"Bulbasaur! Dodge it and use Solarbeam!" Red said, Solarbeam, a 2-turn move.
The Bulbasaur took in sunlight and the Machoke use this as a chance and Karate Chop the Bulbasaur.
The Bulbasaur then unleash the energy towards the Machoke, however it was not enough to defeat the Machoke.
The Machoke then attack the Bulbasaur, and landed a critical hit on the small Pokémon.
I looked at the two Pokémon, and bit my lip in frustration.
The Riolu noticed my distress, "(It'll be fine..)" He said trying to ease my worrying.
I looked at him and was about to refute when I saw blue aura engulfing the small Pokémon.
"What... What is that blue thing..?" I said quietly but the small blue Pokèmon heard me.
"(So you could see it.. I knew it.)" He said.
"Wha–?" The blue Pokémon cut me off.
"(Talk later. Right now, we need to defeat that... Thing.)" He said pointing at the Machoke.
"(You have aura, right? Then use this opportunity now!)" He said.
𝘈𝘶𝘳𝘢.. 𝘈𝘶𝘳𝘢... 𝘈𝘶𝘳𝘢 𝘚𝘱𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦..! 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘯.. 𝘕𝘰! 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦'𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸..!
"Red, tell Bulbasaur to use Solarbeam! And Riolu, use Aura Sphere!" I said, the two individuals looked at me before nodding.
I then felt a sudden warmth engulfed me, and I saw the Riolu's Aura gotten stronger.
"Bulbasaur, dodge its attack and use Solarbeam!" Red yelled out and the small Pokèmon took in the sunlight and barely dodged the bulky's Pokèmon attack.
Riolu created a blue bright sphere of aura and shot it towards the Machoke and the Solarbeam created by the Bulbasaur also shot it towards the Machoke in the opposite direction.
The Machoke didn't have time to react and both attacks collided with the Machoke between it.
BOOM
Smoke engulfed the whole room and once it was gone, we could see the Machoke lying down on the ground, unconscious.
"Those attacks... Solarbeam and Aura Sphere.." A familiar voice said, and we looked behind us to see Professor Oak, awake from his previous sleep.
"You boy, you knew about Bulbasaur's Solarbeam attack? And you lass, how did you know and made the Riolu use Aura Sphere?" Professor Oak said as he looked at us.
"Naw, but I figured plant's turn sunlight into energy and this guy has a plant on its back so..."
"You... You just figured...?! Ahahahahahahaha! You are interesting. I have decided. This Bulbasaur is yours to keep." Professor Oak said, quite entertained and amused.
"Professor, are you serious?" Red asked as he looked at the Bulbasaur who seems to be so fond to him.
"Yeah and to be honest, it seems like the little fellow has taken quite a liking to you anyway." Professor Oak said as he looked at the Bulbasaur looking very fond and happy next to Red.
"Wow! This is so awesome!! Look Crimson! I got a Bulbasaur!" Red said as he picked up the Bulbasaur and swayed him around.
"Ah, that's right lass. How about you? How did you get Riolu to learn Aura Sphere and how did you know about this move?" Professor Oak said curiously.
"Well.. I figured that Riolu is an Aura Pokémon, and just like me..."
"Like you...?" Professor Oak said as looked at me with confusion and curiosity.
"Ah, that's right Professor! Crimson can actually talk to Pokémon if you don't know" Red said and I glared at him.
"You... You could talk to Pokémon?" Professor Oak asked, and I nodded my head shyly.
"Hahaha! Incredible!" He said.
"But how did you got him to learn Aura Sphere?" He said.
"As I said before, like me. I have Aura as well. I also figured that once me and Riolu synced our Aura together. We could use that Aura to create an Aura Sphere move or supercharge an Aura Sphere to a gigantic size." I said.
"You kids... You two are really interesting and amazing for a young age!! Haha!" He laughed out loud.
"I've made up my mind, you lass. You could keep the Riolu as your own!" He said and I looked at him in shocked.
"What.. Really?" I said and he nodded his head.
"Of course! You're an interesting kid, to even teach a Riolu an Aura Sphere, and use one! You kids are smart these days." He said.
"Thank you, Professor." I said as I bow my head in gratitude.
"Now now, no need for that." He said.
I raised up my head and looked at the Riolu was looking at me.
"(Guess you're my trainer now, no surprise there. I've seen it coming anyway.)" He said.
"Anyways you two, here's the Pokéballs for the Pokémon." Professor Oak said as he gave us the Pokéballs.
I took the Pokéballs of Riolu and inspect it on my hands.
"But first... We've gotta clear some misunderstanding, professor. The reason why we entered your lab was so you could teach us to be a better Pokémon Trainer." Red said.
"Do you know what it takes to be a great Trainer, kids? Does it mean knowing a lot of clever tricks or does it mean having a powerhouse team in your arsenal?" Professor Oak said and Red looked at him in confusion.
"Hmm..." Red looked like he was thinking so hard about Professor Oak's words, that it was repeating in his head all over.
"If you think those are the qualities that make a great Trainer then you're wrong. What makes a great Trainer is what's in your heart. The connection you two had with Riolu and Bulbasaur. That feeling from deep within is the key to becoming a great Pokémon Trainer. What's your names, kids?" Professor Oak said and we snapped out from our emotional trance from the Professor's words.
"My name is Red" Red said.
"And my name's Crimson." I said.
"Here you go, Red and Crimson." Professor Oak said as he handed as Pokédexes, each for me and Red.
"This is a Pokédex, a Pokémon encyclopedia. Whenever, you two meet a new Pokémon, it will automatically record its data. By the time you two completed this Pokédex, you two may very well have become great Trainers." Professor Oak said.
"Wow... Us...? As one of the best?" Red said eagerly as he starts to fantasize as one of the best Pokémon Trainers in the world.
"Red and Crimson, if you expect to complete this Pokédex or become a great Trainer, you two can't just stay in Pallet Town. Broaden your horizon!" Professor Oak said.
I already know where this is going...
"Why not start with Viridian Forest? It's North of Viridian City. You're bound to find Pokémon you've never seen before. There you'll also meet my..." Professor Oak stopped his sentence before he could even spill out any.
"Meet who?" Red said in confusion.
"Hahaha! Never mind, I'll see you two around, Red and Crimson." Professor Oak said as he left the gym.
"Hmm... It was weakened by Charmander's attack. It couldn't have gotten far." ??? Said as he walked back and forth talking to himself.
"Charmander, can you sense her?" ??? Said as he looked towards his Pokèmon.
The Pokémon shook its head no and frowned towards its owner.
"Maybe it's gone." ??? Said, frowning.
Raaawrr
"That was her! She's still here. Let's go Charmander!" ??? Said as he ran off with his Charmander.
