Chapter 2: Invasion
Review Replies
Knightmare Lord: I'm autistic myself so I feel represented in this story. Thank you.
Dragon Emperor0: No problem.
ThermalsniperN7: Nice to see we have some like-minded readers.
Guest: I do not want Izuku to get One for All.
Dragon Emperor0: OK, well, it's not up to you. Is it?
ThermalsniperN7: We can't remove a staple of the whole franchise.
shirkahn: Pretty cool! As someone on the autism spectrum myself, this seems like a good read! I was diagnosed with Aspergers when I was younger, and I too had trouble understanding certain things. Once I got my current job at Olive Garden, I was made a host, and it helped me to develop my social skills. Hope you have Izuku go through an evolution like that!
Dragon Emperor0: That's great to hear! I'm so glad that this story is reaching so many people on the spectrum. I'll try to make it as accurate and respectful as possible.
ThermalsniperN7: I'll help.
NyaNyaKittyFace: While the idea is good, you try far too hard to force the connection between Izuku and Gowther. Changing his personality and forcing the whole "I am the goat sin of lust" isn't a good way to go about it. You could have kept Izuku mostly the same with small changes in his personality and way of acting. Perhaps he's normal Izuku most of the time, but when he slips into "nerd mode" he becomes more like Gowther instead of a mumbling mess. Just one suggestion for how to better blend the characters in my opinion. Also, the explanation for how Izuku is descended from Gowther is kinda off and a part of the problem. Again great idea, execution just needs tweaking.
ThermalsniperN7: Thanks for saying. We'll try and adjust things accordingly.
Dragon Emperor0: How is Izuku being descended from Gowther part of the problem? In each of our Sin stories, each version of Izuku/Izumi is linked to the Sins in some way–either by lineage or having similar powers. It's a working formula, dude. Don't try to change things that work.
KingJSA: Roommate asked me if I was sure I had ADHD and not Asbergers(or something).
Dragon Emperor0: Oof, my condolences.
ThermalsniperN7: Yeah, that must've been a bit difficult to handle.
IsseixAtalanta777: Can you do a Mineta harem story
ThermalsniperN7: Absolutely not.
Dragon Emperor0: FUCK No! Get outta here with that shit.
ThunderBasilisk: Not familiar with the Sins but I like where this is going. The Tooru pairing helped.
Dragon Emperor0: Glad to hear it!
ThermalsniperN7: It's also nice that Tooru being shipped with Izuku helps.
Izuku gave an inquisitively confused look to All Might as the man told him that he was 'worthy of inheriting his power', as—to the boy's knowledge—transferring a quirk to someone else was impossible.
Unless, this particular quirk was an exception to that reality? He would have to inquire about this before he said anything further.
"When you say inherit, what do you mean by that?" The boy inquired.
"My quirk is a unique case of where it can be passed on to someone else." The man explained. "Additionally it stockpiles and grows in power as it's passed along, granting whoever's using it immense power in exchange." He continued. "It's name is One for All." He added.
"I've never heard of such a quirk before. To happen across someone with one is amazing." Izuku blinked. "Are there any conditions that must be met before it can be inherited?" He questioned.
"Only for you to willingly accept it and to mold your body into a proper vessel." All Might told him.
Izuku seemed to take this information in stride, as he simply nodded, stood up, and then walked over to a wall—before delivering a punch to it—causing the concrete to cave into a crater.
"I understand the reason, but I don't think it will be necessary." The Goat Sin explained, looking back at a rather surprised All Might.
"Uh… Okay, then." He blinked. " I was honestly expecting you to not have much strength, given your physical appearance." He commented, gesturing to the boy's lanky frame, which he now knew was deceptively strong.
"A side effect of my quirk's nature. It makes my body more resilient than most despite having no physical training and makes me incapable of feeling pain." The Sin of Lust explained. "In that way, I'm more of a doll than a human." He added.
"That last part sounds… Rather self depreciative." The blonde man pointed out slowly.
"It's less of that and more of an actual fact." Izuku corrected. "And in a world filled with people who are physically similar to objects or animals or odd in appearance, but are still human. I fail to see how being like a doll seems less like an example of the existing status quo than an example of being inhuman." He continued. "That kind of assumption always seemed… Illogical to me." He added, head tilted.
"Well, when you put it that way, it does make sense." The man mused thoughtfully. "But I guess this means you accept?" He asked.
"I do." Izuku confirmed.
"Very well, then. Tomorrow we'll begin your training to better mold your body and get it accustomed to using One for All." The Symbol of Peace nodded. "So be ready." He told the boy.
"I will." The autistic teen nodded.

The next morning, at Dagoba municipal beach…
"Heave-ho, Heave-ho, Heave-ho…" Izuku huffed and puffed as he pulled a refrigerator along the beach with All Might sitting on top.
"Wow, you're actually doing pretty good. That side effect of yours is something." The No. 1 Hero remarked.
"I'd be doing better." The Goat Sin replied evenly as he continued pulling. "But currently there is approximately 564 pounds of extra weight atop the object in question." He continued. "I assume the extra four pounds are due to your previous multivisceral stomach transplant?" He asked.
"Yep. Getting my weight back is a long journey." All Might nodded. "Am I right in hoping that the next ten months will get you extra strength with the plan we have?" He asked.
"Logically it would be best that I finish it in five months so that I can have extra time to get used to One for All's backlash." The Sin of Lust noted as he finished pulling the fridge and started lifting it.
"That is a fair point." The hero nodded. He could understand finishing in five months and making use of the extra time to adjust to the backlash. This reasoning was actually backed up by Izuku's already impressive strength, so it definitely seemed plausible to do. "But there's no need to rush. Slow and steady wins the race." He added as he deflated to his non hero work state.
"While true, allowing for time to adjust to the backlash is a must." Izuku reasoned.
"True. But we'll get to that in due time." The skinnier man told his student with a smile.

Izuku sighed as he walked the streets of Musutafu Japan, his body and mind exhausted from the workout he had done previously—as today was one of his rest days.
'Ugh… Training to inherit a quirk is hard…' He groaned mentally. "… Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever really experienced emotions like these." He mused. "Is this how people normally feel? Odd." He nodded, stroking his chin.
As he mulled over this new view, he accidentally bumped into someone, causing both of them to stagger back from each other in surprise.
"Oh my, I'm–... Sorry?" Izuku started to apologize before blinking upon realizing that in front of him were some girl's clothes around an invisible body.
Said clothes consisted of a pink shirt, a pair of jeans and pink shoes.
"Uh, hi." The girl replied.
"Um…" The boy uttered as he tried to figure out how to respond, scratching his head in confusion.
"Yeah, a lot of people get confused by my quirk." The girl told him with a shrug. It was clear that this was normal for her.
"I take it that it's a Mutant type quirk?" He asked.
"Technically. I'm constantly refracting light from my body—making me look invisible." She explained. "But I can't turn it off." She continued.
"That seems rather… Impractical." The Goat Sin noted, tilting his head in confusion.
'Oh gosh, that's adorable!' The invisible girl gasped in surprise.
"Hm… Is there a way I can potentially help you with your quirk?" Izuku asked, rubbing his chin.
"Uh, I'm not really sure…" The girl replied. "But why, though? No one asked you to." She continued.
"That's true." The Sin of Lust nodded. "But it's never a bad thing to help someone, is it?" He questioned.
"True, but how would you even do it?" The invisible girl questioned.
"Before I explain, what's your name?" Izuku asked.
"Oh, Toru Hagakure. Who are you?" The now named Toru asked in reply.
"Izuku Midoriya, the Goat Sin of Lust." The greenette replied, striking his signature salute pose.
"Y-you don't seem like the type for lust." Toru commented 'Holy crap, he's adorable!' She exclaimed mentally.
"Not the lust for the pleasures of flesh, no. I lust for knowledge and understanding." Izuku clarified as he dropped his pose. "Of human emotions, specifically." He explained.
"Why that?" Toru asked as the two walked together.
"To put it as simply as I can, I'm on what's known as the autism spectrum. I feel emotions like everyone else, but I have a hard time correctly processing, recognizing and expressing them with and around myself and others." The bespectacled boy explained.
He was able to do so because it was in terms he knew well enough from reading psychology books—even if he didn't quite understand it very well.
"Oh, okay." Toru acknowledged with an unseen nod. "But how is your quirk gonna help me?" She asked, getting back to the matter at hand.
"My quirk, Invasion, can allow me to tamper with the minds of others in various ways." He told her. "The body often responds to the state of the mind. I'd simply be exploiting this connection to your own benefit and my own ability to study any resulting phenomena." He continued, sparking a flash of his quirk on the tip of his finger.
"Uh, should we be doing this experiment out in the open?" Toru asked, her unseen eyes looking around.
"You're fully clothed, so I fail to see any drawbacks at present." The boy noted.
'Wow, he really is slow to process social norms.' The invisible girl thought with a sweatdrop. "What I mean is: Should we take this to a more private setting? No reason to cause a panic." She tried to elaborate.
"It would take a long time to find a suitable place." Izuku explained. "Unless you happen to have one in mind?" He wondered.
"One of our houses, maybe?" Tooru offered.
"Impractical. My house is a train ride away and I have no prior knowledge of where your house is." He replied.
"Oh, right." The invisible girl sighed. "How about we give each other our contact info and bounce ideas around?" She proposed.
"Still seems impractical…" The Goat Sin mused, before he fired a small flash of Invasion into Toru's neck. "Hmmm…" He hummed, stroking his chin.
"Wh-Wh-What are you doing?!" The girl gulped nervously.
"Merely ascertaining the mental processes of how your quirk works." The boy explained. "It would seem that your quirk factor is similar to heteromorphic types, allowing your body to remain invisible by perpetually refracting light." He began. "But, this also means you can potentially learn how to move your body's refraction rate down, thus allowing you to become visible." He continued. "Not turning your quirk off per say, but lowering the setting, so to speak." He elaborated. "Like having a computer whose screen is white due to the light being at its highest setting, so you dim the light to get a clearer picture." He added.
"Wow, you can tell that much about my quirk after one scan?" Toru asked in amazement.
"Indeed I can." The Goat Sin nodded in reply. "If you like, I can adjust your mind to grant you a subconscious control of your quirk based on what I described." He offered.
"It won't hurt, will it?" The girl asked.
"Unlikely." Izuku replied plainly.
Then Izuku started doing a few adjustments, and Tooru somehow felt what was going on. Looking at her hands, she was shocked when she saw them slowly become visible!
Her hesitation caused them to become invisible again, but this gave her the slow pace to slowly ease into becoming visible for the first time—and by the time it was done—Izuku was…
He was honestly not sure what he was feeling as he started to process the appearance of the rather cute girl before him.
She haid fair skin, and both her hair and eyes seemed almost… Chromatic. Their colors seemed to change at every angle the light hit them from, like prisms. The color itself seemed almost lime green to him—a very pretty color, indeed.
It was also very messy looking.
The boy blinked for a minute or two before saying anything.
"Cute." Was all he could manage to say.
"U-Uh… Th-Thanks." Toru stuttered in reply, a rather cute blush on her face. 'Am I really that…' She thought before seeing her reflection in Izuku's glasses and gasping. 'Holy crap! That's what I look like?!' She thought.
They both stood there for a moment before Izuku shook his head to clear it out.
"So, how does it feel?" The Goat Sin questioned.
"It feels… Nice." The girl replied before she slowly went back into being invisible again. "But I think I'm more comfortable with being invisible. At least for now." She told him.
"Ah." The boy nodded as they continued to walk together.
(Timeskip)
This wouldn't be the last time Izuku would see Toru, as they'd meet up when the boy had days off from his workouts, the Invisible girl slowly becoming more comfortable with being visible—at least around him—and him becoming more and more used to expressing himself thanks to her teaching him.
It also didn't hurt that every so often, the girl did see inklings of the boy's progress in his workouts.
Right now though, the two were currently at a cafe, after a particularly long training session where All Might had Izuku swim mile long laps in the ocean—meaning his hair was still wet from the shower he took afterwards—and Toru was drying him off while the two had some coffee together.
"What are you even doing that's making you push yourself so hard?" She wondered.
"I'm… Not sure I'm at liberty to say." The boy told her.
"That's not sus at all." The girl stated, sitting down, taking her coffee.
"Anyway…" Izuku coughed lightly, changing the topic. "How did your parents react to how I helped you out?" He asked.
"They were pretty surprised. But I wouldn't worry about it." Toru explained, not wanting to bother him with her problems.
"Young Midoriya? What're you doing here?" A voice said behind the two, causing them to turn and see a deflated All Might—now looking considerably better—standing there with a coffee pastry in hand.
"Oh, hello Toshinori." Izuku nodded at his mentor, having learned his name over the time he was training. "I'm just spending time with my friend." He added, gesturing to Toru.
"Oh, hello." The man nodded at the girl.
"Hi." Toru greeted back.
"So, anything in particular you two are talking about?" The blonde asked.
"Just my training from yesterday." The Goat Sin responded.
"It can't be that strenuous, is it?" The girl asked.
"I'm helping him train to get into UA. That should give you some perspective on it." Toshinori told her in reply.
"Oh." Toru uttered with a nod, now understanding why her friend was putting his body through absolute hell.
"So far, things seem to be going well. I should be ready sooner than I thought I would." Izuku told her. "Though I will have to do what I can to maintain what I get." He added.
"That's correct." Toshinori nodded. "Which means you need to be ready for your workout this Thursday." He added.
"Roger roger." The boy nodded, saluting his mentor.
This made Toru giggle since it reminded her of the droid army from Star Wars.
"Izuku you do some of the cutest things, I swear." The neon greenette giggled.
"I'm told that more often than you think." The Goat Sin told her with a shrug.
"Well I'm just glad I get to see it." She smiled as she leaned over the table, and kissed the boy on the nose.
This caused Izuku's eyes to widen as he became a visual representation of a freckled tomato while his face turned red from surprise. Toshinori couldn't help but chuckle at this as he watched them from his table—finding it equally amusing and adorable.

It was finally the day of the exam and All Might was now looking up at a presently passed out Izuku, who was snoring away on top of a pile of garbage he'd moved from a now spotless beach—shirtless.
The boy was out like a log, and it was clear that he'd been working hard on the beach since either nightfall or early morning.
Looking out at the beach, he saw that the entire place was spotless. There wasn't even a bottlecap on the sand anymore, let alone a piece of plastic in general!
'He has definitely surpassed my expectations.' He thought, going buff and leaping to the top of the garbage pile and picking up his student before leaping back to the ground. Then he put some warm clothes on him since it was really cold at the moment.
"He's out like a light… Not sure what I should do right now…" The man sighed, genuinely not sure about how to handle the situation.
As if that decision was made for him, Izuku stirred before he let out a groggy groan as his eyes opened up.
"Oh… Hi, Toshinori…" He groaned sleepily.
"Hey kid. You did great! Now your body should be able to handle One for All with only moderate backlash." All Might nodded as he set the teen down.
"So… How am I gonna inherit it?" The Goat Sin asked, groaning in satisfaction as he stretched his body's new muscles so he wouldn't collapse in a heap.
"This way." The man replied as he suddenly plucked a hair from his head. "Eat this." He explained.
"… Ah. I see." Izuku nodded as he stroked his chin. "So the power is inherited from a transfer of DNA." The boy mused. "Interesting." He hummed.
"Yes, and to be honest, One for All is the only known quirk that can act in such a manner." All Might confirmed.
"Just let me drink a bottle of water to wash it down." The teen told his mentor as he pulled out a bottle of water.
(Later)
Izuku yawned yet again as he walked along the sidewalk towards the campus of UA, all while munching on a beef bun and a can of coffee for a quick impromptu breakfast.
'Perhaps I should've taken it easy on the overnight training.' He thought as he finished his coffee.
"Out of my way, Deku." Katsuki grunted as he walked past the boy.
"Oh, good morning, Kacchan." The Goat Sin nodded, unphased by the boy's gruff greeting.
"Don't faceplant on your way in—you always have the worst balance." The blonde told him in a sort of Big Brother kind of manner.
"I am well aware of that." The autistic teen stated… Right as he tripped on his own feet. 'Lovely…' He sighed mentally as he fell.
"Gotcha!" A person said as someone grabbed him from behind and kept him from falling, causing him to turn and see a currently visible Toru struggling to hold him up as she held onto him, her heels digging into the concrete.
Quickly righting himself on his feet, Izuku straightened himself out before looking at his lime haired friend.
"Thank you, Toru-chan." The Sin of Lust smiled as he looked at her as she slowly became invisible again—only to notice that his vision was blurry—meaning his glasses were missing. "Oh bother." He groaned, looking around for his spectacles.
"Oh, I got you." The light bending girl told him before she spotted his glasses before picking them up and putting them on his face. "There you go." She smiled.
"Thank you." The boy smiled as he started walking towards the school with her, before noticing that she was moving her arm back and forth.
Figuring this was some sort of 'signal' she'd told him that girls sometimes made to get a guy's attention—the Goat Sin gently reached and took hold of her hand, causing her to let out a squeak in surprise.
"Your hands are cold." The greenette noted.
"And yours are warm." The Invisible girl chimed, leaning on his shoulder.
This made the boy jolt a bit, as he wasn't expecting it, but soon decided to let her stay like that, before resting his own head on hers as they walked into the school.
(Later)
"Hey hey hey! It's me, your school DJ!" The voice hero: Present Mic called to the kids. "Come on and let me hear ya!" He added.
This ended up getting only silence in response.
"Tough crowd." The blonde shrugged, trying to keep himself from sounding too miffed. "That's fine I'll skip right to the main show." He said, turning on the screen.
Izuku's eyes practically lit up when he saw the man, much like he had when he saw All Might in person. His face didn't show much expression other than just surprise, but it was there.
"Today you'll be doing free for all battles in super hip urban settings. Specifically you'll be going to the battle center specified on your cards, okay?" The hero continued, getting silence in return.
"Ah, I see." Izuku nodded, looking at his card, seeing that even though he and Katsuki were next to each other—they were set to go to different centers.
"Sucks that I can't show you how better I am now." Katsuki sighed.
"It's illogical to try and one up each other when we both wish to succeed together." The greenette pointed out. "A house divided amongst itself cannot stand." He added.
"Fair enough." The blonde shrugged.
"Additionally you'll be fighting three types of fake villains, each equal 1, 2, and 3 points respectively so better choose wisely! But check it! Make sure you're keeping things heroic! Attacking other examinees is a UA no no, ya dig?" He added.
This caused Izuku to deflate in dismay, as he was planning on doing just that with his quirk so he could disorient others and snag their points.
"Fiddlesticks…" He sighed. "That's plan A out the window." He groaned as Katsuki ruffled his hair.
"Excuse me!" One of the other applicants exclaimed, getting the attention of the voice hero. "You said we'll be fighting three villain types, and yet the forms say that there are four! If this is a basic oversight, then it is unacceptable!" He stated as he held up his form. "We are exemplary students, so we expect the best from Japan's most notable school. So a mistake like this won't do." He added.
"Hmmm, true, I was also curious about that as well." The Goat Sin nodded.
"Oh, that. That's a zero pointer." Present Mic said. "It's more of an obstacle in your way and it has no value, so there's no sense bothering." He explained.
"Thank you." The bespectacled teen bowed.
"… That guy has seriously got to lose that stick up his ass." Katsuki stated.
"Strange, I don't recall seeing a stick anywhere near his ass, much less shoved up it." The Sin of Lust mused, head cocked to the side in confusion.
"It's a figure of speech, Deku." Katsuki sweatdropped, while everyone else tried to hold in fits of laughter at the kid's unintentional joke.
"Oooh." The boy nodded with an embarrassed blush. "Ha ha." He 'chuckled'.
(Later)
Izuku stretched his arms and legs as he waited along with dozens of others at his testing area. There were a lot of people from what he saw, and some even had support items.
"Interesting." He mused, looking around, before he saw a familiar female shape in a tracksuit with no discernable features. "Oh! Toru's here." He mused, beginning to walk towards her.
As he walked toward her, though, he felt a hand on his shoulder. This made him turn and see the blue haired teen from earlier.
But before he could say anything—the Goat Sin did a quick zap with his quirk—distracting the boy long enough for him to zip up to the taller lad's shoulders… before he leaned down to look the kid in the eyes, upside down.
"Bazinga." He uttered.
"Wh-What?" The other teen uttered in bafflement.
"Did that kid just zap the taller guy with his quirk and hop onto his shoulders?" One of the observers wondered, unsure if they saw that correctly or not.
"Looks like it." Another nodded as Izuku hopped down from the bespectacled tall stack's shoulders before facing him and standing at a salute.
"Hello. I am Izuku Midoriya, the Goat Sin of Lust." He introduced himself. "I'd appreciate it if you didn't invade my personal space. It makes me uncomfortable." He added, still saluting.
"Um… My apologies, then." The taller teen blinked, still processing what just happened.
"Thank you." The greenette nodded as he bowed respectfully before walking away towards Toru.
"… Well he's an odd one." One kid noted.
"Goat Sin… You guys hear that before?" Another asked.
"I'm drawing blanks." A third replied with a shrug.
"Izuku!" Toru cheered as she leapt into the boy's arms, nuzzling her invisible cheek to his.
"Hi, Toru." The autistic teen chuckled, having long since gotten used to this.
"That his girlfriend?" One kid whispered to another, getting a shrug from the one he was talking to.
It was then that the gates opened.
"Oh, time for the exam!" Izuku yelped as he set Toru down and rushed into the battle area.
"Wait, what about the countdown?!" The invisible girl called after him.
"There's no countdown in this exam! The kid that rushed in had the right idea, so get moving!" Present Mic exclaimed from above them.
And they were off, all of the examinees attacking any robots who crossed their paths.
Izuku, for example, came across a one pointer that tried to rush him—which he ducked a strike from—before delivering a solid bare hand punch to its chest, causing the metal to cave in.
"Hm, their armor plating seems weak enough for me. I should be able to handle this." He mused as he kept moving.
Though this kind of showing from such a comparatively small combatant genuinely scared a few examinees.
Izuku then leapt over the fist of a three pointer, before placing his hands on its head, his hands glowing pink.
"Hijack!" He intoned as he took control of the bot and started using it to smash others in his wake.
(Elsewhere)
Meanwhile, in the observatory that the teachers were all watching the students in, each of them took note of several different notable students.
"The students likely have no idea how many villains there are, or their locations." Nezu noted. "They have limited time, must cover a vast area and have to gain as many points as possible." He continued. "Some use information gathering to work out a strategy. Others use speed. Of course keeping calm under pressure can work as well, just as much as raw power and pure combat ability." He added. "The best students use a combination of all these skills." He nodded.
"And some are deceptively stronger than most." Toshinori remarked, looking at a screen that had Izuku on it.
"This group does look promising, you're right." Midnight nodded.
"Heard there's a kid here with a memory quirk." Snipe mused. "But I can't see him." He added.
"Don't worry, he's there." The blonde man told him.
(Elsewhere)
After destroying as many villains as he could reasonably find with his three point mount, Izuku decided he was done with it.
"Alioop!" He said as he flipped off the robot and made a ninja hand seal. "Self Destruction." He intoned, causing the robot to intentionally blow itself up as he landed on his feet.
Wiping his hands, he looked around and admired his handiwork a little. The many destroyed robots definitely attested to how deceptively strong he was.
"By my best estimates, I believe I have exactly Twenty-Eight points." He hummed as he started jogging. "I think I have enough points for a passing grade." He mused.
It was then that the ground beneath him started to shake.
"Hm?" The boy hummed before the shaking increased and a shadow loomed over the fake city.
Looking up, Izuku's eyes widened in shock when he saw the Zero Pointer rising up!
"One must wonder where they get the resources for these!" He exclaimed as people around him ran away in a panic.
However, as he began to 'run for the hills' as it were—the sound of a familiar voice caused him to stop in his tracks.
"Help! I'm stuck!" A girl's voice cried, causing Izuku to turn and see that there was a brunette girl trapped under some rubble, and Toru was trying to get her out.
Worse on that, the Zero Pointer was rolling their way!
"Red Alert! Red Alert!" The boy exclaimed as he bolted towards them, his speed surprising a lot of the kids around him. "Alioop!" He blurted as he finally decided to use One for All to leap above the two girls and onto the Zero Pointer's punching arm—and started running up it—his hands glowing pink.
As he neared its head, he raised his hands as an arrow of light formed in them.
"Ultimate Move! Invasion: Black Out Arrow!" He intoned as he fired the arrow, which caused the robot to immediately shut down upon contact. "And now…" He added as he leapt into the air, flipping over the metal monster until he landed on its head—his fist cocked back. "Deletion. Texas Smash!" He yelled as he delivered a One for All punch down on the behemoth's head.
The end result was the robot exploding at random parts of its body, full parts of it even falling off. As it fell apart in an array of explosions, Izuku creatively used the debris as platforms to safely get back to the ground.
"Threat eliminated. Damage to self and others from resulting aftermath…" The Sin of Lust said as he skid to a landing and looked around. "Minimal." He added as he stood up, dusting himself off.
"What was THAT?!" Toru yelled in shock as she walked up to Izuku, having freed the girl that had been trapped under the rubble while he was busy.
"The results of my ten months of training." The boy explained, adjusting his glasses before taking notice of the girl next to Toru. "Oh, hello." He greeted.
"Uh, hi. I'm Ochako Uraraka." The brunette responded as she introduced herself.
"Hello. I am Izuku Midoriya, pleased to meet you." The boy replied, though when he moved to strike his signature salute pose, his track jacket—which was holding on by a thread—came ripping apart, revealing his improved body, goat tattoo and the parts of him that were very much doll-like in one unintentional move. "… Oh bother." He sighed.
"Why are your joints like a doll's?!" Ochako gasped in surprise.
"That's how his quirk works." Toru explained, walking up to Izuku and offering him her jacket. "Here you go." She smiled.
"Thank you." The boy nodded with his own smile as he put the jacket on. "There. No more unneeded stares." He added.
It was then that they were all approached by someone from behind, specifically, it was an old lady who looked to be dressed in a nurse's uniform.
"Huh. I guess Recovery Girl being here is reasonable." Izuku mused. Given the scale of the exams, it was no surprise that someone like Recovery Girl would be employed.
"Well done everyone! Well done!" The woman smiled as she walked up to them. "Any injuries that need tending?" She asked.
"Checking…" Izuku nodded as he looked himself over before shaking his head. "Negative, I am uninjured." He replied, before gesturing over to his two companions. "But they may be in need of medical attention." He amended.
"Huh. Someone usually needs it." The old medic commented.
"Mmmm." The Goat Sin nodded as he started walking away… Before his body suddenly gave way as the strain of using One for All three times in rapid succession combined with his most powerful move took its toll.
"Izuku!" Toru gasped as she rushed to his side.
"It would appear I was incorrect about my physical condition." Izuku sighed. "Apparently I strained myself too hard, and it's showing." He noted.
"Couldn't you feel the strain, sonny?" Recovery Girl questioned.
"N-Negative. My physiology makes me incapable of feeling various different things, including pain." The boy explained.
"I'll have a look at your file later." The old woman sighed before she used her quirk to heal him.
"Thank you, ma'am…" The boy sighed as he slowly fell unconscious, with his head resting in Toru's lap while the other examinees reacted to what they just saw and heard.
"I think you should avoid doing what you just did from now on." Toru told him. "At least until you can handle it better." She amended.
"I agree." The Goat Sin nodded with a yawn.
(Timeskip)
Izuku's face was rather dispassionate as he poked at his food a couple weeks after the exam as he waited for his letter from UA to arrive.
Inko, being the mom she is, did not like seeing her son in such a slump.
"Izuku, are you okay, honey?" She asked.
"I don't like that I have to wait for so long for my results." The boy sighed in reply. "It breeds… uncertainty." He added as he resumed eating.
(Later)
The boy did really worry much, in general, a supposed benefit of being emotionally stunted due to his autism. As it naturally lowered his anxiety levels overall.
As he went over some notes, Inko suddenly burst into the living room with an envelope.
"Izuku, your results are here!" She exclaimed, getting his attention immediately.
"Give it here!" The boy exclaimed, and his mother did so.
Inko watched with bated breath as her son opened the envelope… And blinked in confusion when a holo projector came out.
"Why a holo-projector?" She wondered.
"Perhaps it's an extra message created by the school?" The Sin of Lust proposed.
"Or maybe it is the message." The green haired woman pointed out as she pressed the power button to turn it on.
"BOOYAH! I am here as a projection!" All Might exclaimed, much to Inko's surprise.
"What the?! All Might?!" Inko gasped in shock.
"This is unexpected." Izuku nodded.
"I know it's been awhile, but with great power comes an enormous amount of paperwork! Ha ha ha!" The Number One hero laughed before clearing his throat. "My apologies, young man." He amended. "The truth is that I didn't come here to fight villains. You're looking at the newest UA faculty member!" He exclaimed.
"All Might is a new UA faculty member?!" Inko shouted in shock.
"This is news to me as well." Izuku nodded with a blink of surprise.
"Hm. Huh? Who's showboating? Alright I'll wrap it up, but I want to show him something first." All Might said as the camera man tried to get him to stay on track. "Wait, I have to do how many of these things?!" The man gasped.
The mother-son duo sweatdropped at what they were hearing. Leave it to a career to bury someone in work for days…
"Right, moving on. The results are that you passed the written test and got exactly 28 points in the practical." The Symbol of Peace told him.
"As predicted." Izuku nodded, pleased that his estimates were right.
"This would be just shy of a passing grade on the low end of the bell curve—which would result in a failing grade—if there weren't other factors." He continued.
"Other… Factors?" Izuku blinked.
"What can that mean?" His mother wondered.
"What could they be, you ask? Here! A video for your viewing pleasure!" The mountain of a man exclaimed as he pressed a button on a remote.
"Um, excuse me." Ochako spoke in a recording as she stood in front of Present Mic. "I was hoping you would have a moment." She continued.
"It's the girl that was with Toru." Izuku gasped in recognition. "Ochako, I believe her name was." He nodded.
"Toru? The girl you met?" The woman asked.
"Oh, need something, little listener?" The voice hero asked.
"Yeah. That doll-like boy from the exams… Izuku, I think it was?" The brunette began, recalling when Toru dropped his name. "I was hoping I could give him some of my points. It didn't seem like he had a lot, so I wanted to help him out." She continued.
"I'm sure he'll appreciate the gesture, but don't worry. He's fine where he is." Present Mic told her as he gave her a headpat.
"Awww! That's so sweet!" Inko gasped. "Oh Izuku! I'm so glad you're making so many friends!" She smiled, hugging her son tightly.
"… Yeah. So am I." Izuku smiled, feeling a similar warmth he got when he was with his mother or Katsuki.
Happiness.
"As you can see, being a hero isn't just about smashing a villain's head in. It's about the way you inspire and affect the people around you. It's because of this that UA decided to implement a hidden point system: Rescue points, which are given based on how many people you can save!" All Might exclaimed as a screen came up, the rescue points being shown next to the hero points. "A panel of judges examined the actions of others throughout the exam to award these points. For example: Ochako Uraraka and Toru Hagakure. For saving the former and assisting the latter in removing the rubble during the exam—both got twenty five points." The man continued. "And you, Izuku Midoriya, gained fifty rescue points!" He added.
Izuku and Inko's eyes widened at this. It was an unexpected development, but far from unwelcome.
"All of this for a grand total of: seventy-eight rescue points! This is just what you needed, because you've landed a spot in UA's Hero Course!" All Might exclaimed, revealing Izuku's passing score. "You're ready to stand and become a hero! This is your Hero Academia!" He finished before the recording ended.
Izuku and Inko were silent. It stayed that way for a good minute before Inko pulled her son into a very ecstatic hug.
"MY BABY GOT INTO UA!" She cried happily.
"Ah ha…" Izuku nodded, still trying to process everything that just happened.
What he did process was that he got into UA. By the skin of his teeth, no less.
And at the very least, he had a few friends waiting there for him.
Dragon Emperor0: Hey guys. Merry (belated) Christmas. Hope you don't mind us dropping this for you as a late Christmas gift. The second chapter of Goat Sin.
ThermalsniperN7: As someone who got his GED by getting the bare minimum of a passing score, I know what I'm talking about when I say that Izuku's passing score was appropriate. No reason to overachieve, just get enough for a passing grade and be done with it. Don't bother overexerting yourself.
Dragon Emperor0: Yeah. And, as expected of our Sin stories, we're wasting absolutely zero time on setting up the (brief) romantic subplots of this story. Cuz we have no time to waste time with that will they won't they bullshit. We're setting it up and resolving it in a timely fashion.
ThermalsniperN7: Yeah, fuck that long-ass wait time. Nobody has time for that! *Clears throat* Anyway, see you next time.
