Bad Romance: Episode 10

Saffron City, Kanto. May 3rd, 2023. 7:28am.

A man in a black suit paced down the hall nervously. "Where the fuck is she?!" he whisper-shouted into the phone. "I don't know, man!" "Fuck," The man cursed. He quietly entered the room. "Ma'am," he spoke up hesitantly. His pink-haired boss looked up angrily. "What?" she asked.

"Uh, we weren't able to locate the fourth sister…" he mumbled. "What!" Ursula stood up as she grabbed the gun located at her waist. "You are useless!" she screamed, shooting him in the stomach mercilessly.

Leaf, Dawn, and Misty swallowed nervously. "Please, let us go!" Leaf pleaded. Urusa just rolled her eyes. "Whatevs," she yawned. "Now tell me: where is your sister?" she leaned in.

"Don't worry, we won't need her," her brother, Cyrus, entered the room. Ursula looked at him interest. "Oh, and why not?" "Because she's getting married today!" Ursula smirked. "Oh, is she?" she followed her brother out the door.

"She's getting married?" Leaf repeated. "Why though? She knows she loves Drew, and that Drew loves her. What's the problem?" Dawn asked.

"Ayo, Cyrus!" Ash said, banging on the door. "Open up, you fucker!"

Cyrus opened the door. "Ah, you're here already? That was fast, even for you," he smirked slightly. Ursula trailed behind him. "Oh there's my husband!" she pointed to Paul.

Paul flattened. "Really? Do you not get the meaning of the word, no?" he said. "Besides, I think we already discussed this on the phone: I have a girlfriend, so you need to stop being lonely and get someone too," he rolled his eyes.

Suddenly, the girls ran behind Cyrus and Ursula.

"Gary…" Leaf sobbed. "Help…"

"Leave them or else," Gary threatened.

"Or else, what?" Cyrus smirked.

Drew was tired of beating around the bush. "Or else, this," he said, planting a punch square on Cyrus' face.

He staggered backwards. "How dare you…" he looked at Drew angrily. Cyrus and Drew started fist-fighting.

Meanwhile, the guys started to gather the girls and help them escape. Drew followed after them.

All of a sudden, Cyrus grabbed a gun that hung at his waist and shot Ash in the leg.,

"Ash!" Drew yelled as he went on to support his older brother as he fell. "Don't worry, nothing will happen to you," he tried to reassure him.

Ash looked at his brother and wiped his tears. "Take care of the others," he smiled tiredly. "And…and take care of my Misty," he whispered before fainting.

"Don't say that Ash! You're gonna be fine!" Drew screamed helplessly as he cried.

Suddenly, the police showed up and arrested Cyrus. "You are under arrest for shooting a person," the policeman said, cuffing him.

Ursula held the officer back. "Please! Let him go!" she screeched.

The police shrugged indifferently and put Cyrus in the car and drove away.

The group ran to Ash. "Ash! Ash! Come on, please, you can't leave me!" she yelled, tears making their way down her face.

Paul sighed and wiped his own tears. "Come on, let's get him to a hospital," he said, carrying his older brother to the car.

About ten minutes later, they'd reached the hospital, and Ash had been sent to the operation room.

"He'll be alright," Dawn tried to comfort Misty, who was crying harshly.

The doctor came out of the operation hall and faced the group. "He's going to be alright," he finally spoke, and cries of joy uprooted from the room.

"You may see him now," The doctor said, exiting the room.

"Thank god!" Misty whispered as she walked into the room.

"Uh, you guys go see him, I'll be back in a bit…" Drew said as he excused himself.

Everyone entered, but Leaf stayed behind. She put a hand on his shoulder. Drew looked over confused at her actions.

"Do you really love May?" she asked him seriously.

Drew nodded slowly. "Yes, of course…I planned to propose to her today," he spoke sadly.

Leaf's tears escaped from her eyes. "Don't be late, Drew," she said.

"W-what?" he asked.

"Don't be late," she whispered before walking back into the room, leaving the boy staring after her.

Inside, the others were checking up on Ash.

"You're feeling better now?" Misty asked Ash. He nodded slowly and smiled. "Y-yeah. I am." he confirmed.

Leaf stepped inside. Gary looked behind her. "Hey, where's Drew?" he asked.

Leaf smiled slightly. "Now, he'll either come back with a smile, or with tears,"

"So, now, I would like to call the bride and groom up to the stage," May and Brendan stepped onto the stage.

"Are you okay? You look sad," Brendan whispered.

May shook her head and forced a smile. "Ah, it's just my sisters aren't here…"

Brendan smiled. "Don't worry, we can meet up with them later," he responded kindly.

"Will the groom please put a ring on the bride's finger?"

Brendan did as told.

"Now, my dear, it's your turn. Place the ring in his finger, if you accept him,"

May trembled as she reached towards the ring.

"May! Please! Don't do this!"

May looked back, surprised at the voice. "Drew?" she whispered.

"Don't you love me?!" he yelled desperately. May was silent. "Answer me!"

May wordlessly started moving towards Brendan's finger.

"May? Do you love him?" Brendan asked. May stopped. "N-no," she answered.

"She's lying!" Drew screamed, tears filling his tear ducts.

"Go."

May faced Brendan with a look of shock. "What?"

"Go. I don't want my wife to kill her happiness because my own," Brendan stated firmly.

May started tearing up. "Thank you Brendan," she whispered as she hugged him. Then, she ran to Drew and wrapped her arms around the green-haired man.

"Why would you do that to me, baby?" Drew murmured into her hair.

"I'm sorry," May sobbed.

Drew smiled. "It's alright. Let's go,"

Before heading out, he looked back at Brendan who was still on the stage.

"Thank you," he mouthed and saluted him before running out.

3 years later…

"Daddy!"

"Yes, Rosie?"

"I want a sibling! All my friends have one!"

"Alright, so tonight you'll sleep early, yes?"

"Okay!"

Drew chuckled as Rosie skipped to bed merrily. He entered his and his wife's room.

"Hey babe," he greeted. "Guess what? Misty's having another baby!" May grinned.

Drew smiled cheekily. "What perfect timing. Rose wanted a sibling too," he said.

May furrowed her brow. "She does?" then, she smirked. "Or do you?"

Drew tapped his chin. "Hmm… both,"

"Alright then,"

"Okay,"
