I'm trying to make Naruto stay in the leaf village as he is yet to explore the whole part of the leaf and the amount of interesting things to explore before he feels tedious while staying in Konoha for a certain period of time.
I can guarantee you that Naruto will eventually leave the leaf village in exploring the world but not in the way a normal defector escapes from the village.
Without any delay, I would like you to read the chapter and give your reviews
Chapter 4: Mysteries Unraveled: Naruto's Ruthless Revelation
As Hayate's voice echoed through the arena, announcing the next match—Naruto Uzumaki versus Dosu Kinata
Kakashi and Sakura tried to wish him for passing this round but Naruto paid them no mind. Instead, he abruptly descended to the ground below, the impact causing slight cracks and sending a shockwave of air rippling across the arena.
"Finally!" Naruto exclaimed, his excitement palpable. The force of his landing on the ground caused slight cracks, a testament to the immense chakra he exuded. Hayate, the proctor, sighed internally, wondering if dealing with genin was worth the challenge. He contemplated the potential bonus he might receive from the Third Hokage for overseeing such intense matchups.
Naruto, however, quickly shifted from his exuberant state to one of mocking disdain as he realized Dosu was his opponent. "Oh, it's you, one-eyed cyclops," he sneered, his disappointment apparent. He audibly sighed, as if Dosu was a mere inconvenience. In a louder tone that reached the ears of those nearby, Naruto continued, "I was hoping for someone interesting. Like Gaara, maybe." His offhand comment about facing Gaara sent shockwaves through the stands.
Gaara's eyes gleamed with a mixture of excitement and the bloodlust he so often concealed. Naruto's words had ignited a spark in him, and his anticipation for the upcoming battle swirled with the sand around him. He turned to Kankuro, a twisted grin forming on his face as his chakra exuded an intensity that sent shivers down Kankuro's spine.
"I've been waiting for a challenge," Gaara muttered, the excitement evident in his voice. His bloodlust leaked out like a tangible force, creating an oppressive atmosphere. The spectators in the vicinity, including Kankuro, felt the weight of Gaara's anticipation.
Hinata, Shino, and Kiba, who had observed Gaara's ruthless display in the 2nd round of the Chunin Exams, were haunted by the memories. The flashbacks of Gaara's unnecessary brutality, especially the sand coffin technique that resulted in the death of the Rain Shinobi genin, left them unnerved.
Kiba, witnessing the unfolding events, couldn't help but recall Gaara's ferocity. "Man, that guy's insane. I hope Naruto knows what he's saying," he muttered, a chill running down his spine.
Meanwhile, Dosu, the intended recipient of Naruto's disdain, noticed the tension rising. Orochimaru, disguised as a Sound Jonin, instructed him not to forfeit. Dosu, torn between the fear of facing Naruto and the potential consequences from Orochimaru, reluctantly made his way to the battle arena. In his inner thoughts, Dosu mutters, "Damned if I do, and damned if I don't." The prospect of facing Naruto, who exhibited an unpredictable and powerful nature, filled him with an unsettling sense of dread.
Naruto's demeanor had shifted from excitement to mocking disdain. Dosu, the sound ninja, wasted no time and unleashed his sound jutsu with the intent to catch Naruto off guard.
However, Naruto's reflexes were quicker than Dosu anticipated. In a swift move, Naruto maneuvered to Dosu's back, seized his head, and ruthlessly slammed it into the ground. The impact echoed through the arena, leaving slight cracks on the surface. The efficiency and brutality of Naruto's maneuver stunned not only Dosu but also the onlookers, including fellow genin and even seasoned jonin.
As Dosu lay on the ground, disoriented and struggling to comprehend the speed of Naruto's attack, the surrounding genin couldn't believe their eyes.
Dosu, still recovering from the brutal attack, struggled to comprehend Naruto's speed and precision. Naruto, standing over his fallen opponent, maintained his mocking grin, a twisted reflection of the malevolence Kyuubi displayed. The spectators were left in awe, realizing that Naruto possessed a level of skill and brutality that transcended typical genin capabilities.
As Dosu groggily rose, Naruto, in a voice that exuded malevolence, taunted, "Is that the best you've got, one-eyed cyclops? I was hoping for a challenge." His words echoed through the arena, leaving a chilling effect on both spectators and participants.
Shikamaru, known for his analytical mind, muttered, "I didn't even see him move until Dosu's head hit the ground."
Gaara, typically unfazed by most things, found himself intrigued, his eyes narrowing as he observed Naruto's brutal efficiency. Kankuro and Temari exchanged surprised glances, unaccustomed to witnessing such raw power from another genin.
Kiba and Shino shared a moment of silent acknowledgment, realizing that Naruto's capabilities extended beyond their initial perceptions. Hinata, though frightened by the intensity of the fight, couldn't help but be captivated by Naruto's prowess.
On the sidelines, Guy marveled at the spectacle. Turning to Rock Lee, he exclaimed, "Lee, my boy, looks like you've got a rival in speed! The flames of youth burn brightly in this one." Guy's enthusiasm for youthful vigor was evident as he praised Naruto's incredible speed and efficiency.
Rock Lee, equally passionate about the pursuit of strength, nodded in agreement. "Indeed, Guy-sensei! I must train even harder to keep up with such an extraordinary rival. The flames of youth will guide me!"
The Third Hokage, observing from the elevated platform, squinted his eyes in disbelief at Naruto's agility.
"Hmm, that speed... it rivals even Kakashi or our elite jonin," the Third Hokage muttered, his usual composure momentarily disrupted. Naruto's movements were swift, and he darted around Dosu with a grace that belied his usual unpredictable demeanor.
Anko Mitarashi, a seasoned Jonin and proctor of the exams, couldn't hide her surprise. " His speed... I couldn't even see it clearly," she exclaimed, her eyes narrowing as she tried to make sense of Naruto's movements. Anko's disbelief lingered as she continued to observe the unfolding battle.
Kakashi Hatake, leaning against the railing next to Guy, watched with a discerning eye. "Impressive," he acknowledged, lifting his headband to reveal the Sharingan beneath. "He's on par with us, maybe even Guy's level."
Guy, standing nearby with his characteristic enthusiasm, chimed in, "Indeed, Kakashi! Naruto's youthful spirit has propelled him to incredible heights. I might have a rival in speed!" Guy's eyes sparkled with excitement, recognizing Naruto's potential as a formidable opponent.
Kurenai Yuhi and Asuma Sarutobi, both experienced Jonin and observers of the exams, exchanged surprised glances at the rare moment of agreement between Kakashi and Guy.
"Did they just acknowledge Naruto's speed as comparable to theirs?" Kurenai whispered to Asuma, her eyes widening in disbelief. Asuma, taking a drag from his cigarette, nodded.
The atmosphere crackled with tension as Naruto, having swiftly evaded Dosu's attempted sneak attack on his feet, now stood with a foot planted firmly on Dosu's face. He grinned mockingly, a sinister glint in his eyes reminiscent of Sukuna.
"Hmm, I didn't expect you to be so weak, just like your cowardly teammates," Naruto taunted, his voice dripping with condescension. Dosu, struggling beneath Naruto's foot, could only grit his teeth in frustration.
Naruto nonchalantly flashed away from Dosu's attempted retaliation. "Finally trying, ah? Come on, try a bit harder, harder," he jeered, goading Dosu to make a move. Dosu, fueled by a mix of anger and desperation, began forming hand seals, preparing to unleash his sound jutsu.
However, before Dosu could complete the seals, Naruto reappeared behind him with blinding speed. In an instant, Naruto's fist connected with Dosu's head, sending a shockwave through the air. Dosu's body crumpled, and his head was reduced to mincemeat, splattering blood across the arena.
The gruesome spectacle left the spectators in shock, the sight of Dosu's torn body and the rain of blood creating an eerie atmosphere. Naruto, seemingly unaffected, tilted his head in confusion, surveying the aftermath of his devastating punch.
"Why were you so weak? Couldn't even handle a punch," Naruto mused aloud, his mocking tone echoing through the stunned silence. Dosu's defeat had been swift and brutal, and Naruto reveled in his own dominance.
The onlookers, including the Sand Siblings and the Konoha genin, were left speechless. Gaara, who had been excited at the prospect of facing Naruto, observed with a mix of fascination and apprehension. Kankuro and Temari exchanged uneasy glances, unsure of what to make of Naruto's ruthlessness.
Orochimaru, disguised as a Sound Jonin and observing from a distance, couldn't help but be intrigued by Naruto's violent display. A wicked smile formed on his lips as he compared Naruto's brutal style to a particularly violent Tsunade. Flashbacks of his own battles with Tsunade, especially when she was infuriated, played in Orochimaru's mind.
Orochimaru mutters to himself "This boy... his brutality, his sheer disregard for life... he reminds me of Tsunade with bloodlust, a thirst for battle ."
The Third Hokage, also witnessing the spectacle, drew a parallel between Naruto's fighting style and that of Tsunade. However, he noted that Naruto's approach carried an extra layer of bloodlust and brutality, creating a visceral experience that even surpassed Tsunade's renowned fierceness.
"Naruto's fighting style is reminiscent of Tsunade's, but with an added element of bloodlust. The boy seems driven by a raw desire for combat."
The arena remained in stunned silence, with genin and Jonin alike grappling with the gruesome reality of Naruto's brutal efficiency.
"Chakra reinforcement in a punch... and at that level?" Kakashi mused inwardly, eyes narrowing with subtle surprise. "With his feats in taijutsu alone..its already comparable to a jonin"
Sakura, who had been nearby, overheard Kakashi's mumbled realization. Shocked by this revelation, she muttered, "Oh god, not this again," recalling the extraordinary abilities Naruto had displayed during the Forest of Death.
Meanwhile, inner Sakura, though disturbed by the brutality, found herself silently thanking Naruto for taking revenge against Dosu. In the Forest of Death, she had been helpless and terrified, and Naruto's current display served as a twisted form of closure.
Naruto called out to Hayate Gekko, the proctor
"Oyy, oyy, referee! Are you just going to stand there? Announce the next match-ups already. I'm getting bored with weaklings like these!"
Hayate, still dazed and trying to process the abrupt and brutal end to the fight, stumbled over his words as he announced Naruto as the winner.
"Th-the winner is Naruto Uzumaki," Hayate stammered, his eyes still fixed on the gruesome scene before him.
Naruto, maintaining the mocking and disdainful demeanor he had adopted throughout the fight, flashed a twisted grin as the announcement reached his ears. The crowd, though still in shock, began to buzz with a mix of fear and anticipation for what the unpredictable ninja would do next.
In the Hokage's viewing box, Sarutobi, the Third Hokage, observed the situation with a heavy heart. The unexpected turnbof events had raised concerns about Naruto's capabilities and the potential challenges he might pose to the traditional order.
"Summon the cleaners and medical team," the Hokage commanded, acknowledging the need to handle Dosu's remains and tend to any potential injuries among the participants. The cleaners swiftly arrived, accompanied by medical personnel, to deal with the aftermath of Naruto's brutal victory.
As the cleaners and medics began their grim task of collecting Dosu's body, the Hokage couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.
Naruto couldn't help but notice the Sound Jonin, watching with an intensity that raised his suspicions. The malicious glint in his eyes did not escape Naruto's keen observation.
"What's with that guy? He's staring like he's plotting something," Naruto thought, a suspicious frown forming on his face. Sound Jonin's unwavering gaze, devoid of any emotion except perhaps a twisted joy, unnerved even the unpredictable Naruto.
As Dosu's body was being removed from the arena, the sound jonin left without a word. Naruto's instincts tingled with a sense of foreboding.
"He's Dosu's sensei, but there's something off. Dosu's so-called sensei, huh? Doesn't look like he cares much for his 'precious' student," Naruto mused with a disdainful smirk
Team 8, consisting of Hinata, Shino, and Kiba, exchanged horrified glances as the realization of Dosu's fate sank in. Hinata, known for her gentle nature, couldn't help but cover her mouth in an attempt to shield herself from the gruesome sight.
Kiba, usually boisterous and competitive, was taken aback by the unexpected brutality. "Did you see that, Shino? Naruto's a monster," he whispered, his usual confidence replaced by unease.
Shino, ever composed, responded, "Naruto's power is unsettling, to say the least. It appears his approach to combat is precise and deadly ."
Across the arena, Team Guy's members—Neji, Tenten, and Rock Lee—watched with a mix of shock and concern. Lee, a fervent advocate of the "flames of youth," found himself unable to cheer in the face of such brutality. Tenten, typically pragmatic, couldn't hide her discomfort.
Neji, his Byakugan activated, analyzed the scene. "That level of power... it's beyond what we've seen in our training. Naruto Uzumaki is not to be underestimated."
Meanwhile, Ino, Shikamaru, and Choji of Team 10 exchanged troubled glances. Shikamaru, known for his laid-back demeanor, was the first to voice his unease. "Troublesome. I didn't expect things to get this intense."
Choji, still processing the graphic scene, added, "That's not how fights are supposed to go, right? This is messed up."
Ino, usually confident and assertive, couldn't help but feel a shiver down her spine. "I don't want to face someone like Naruto in the exams. It's too scary."
Their Jonin sensei, Asuma Sarutobi, and Kurenai Yuhi, shared a silent exchange of concern. Asuma took a drag from his cigarette, a contemplative frown on his face, while Kurenai, typically reserved, observed her students closely.
As the students whispered among themselves, the Jonin observed the impact Naruto's actions had on the younger generation. Asuma finally broke the silence. "This Uzumaki... he's different. Keep your guard up, but don't let fear cloud your judgment."
Kurenai, nodded in agreement. "Strength comes in many forms. We need to adapt to the challenges the next generation presents."
Naruto ascended from the arena, the surrounding genin instinctively distanced themselves, unease etched on their faces as Naruto basked in the aftermath of his macabre display.
"What's the matter? Scared, weaklings?" Naruto sneered, his voice a dark echo that sent shivers down the spines of those around him.
Unfazed by the horrified gazes, Naruto continued, "You people need to toughen up! This is what a real fight looks like. Not your little games." His laughter echoed with an unsettling tone, an embodiment of chaos reveling in the disquiet he sowed.
Kakashi approached Naruto, his expression a mix of surprise and concern. "Naruto, that was... impressive, but the way you finished Dosu was unnecessary. The Leaf village doesn't encourage such brutality."
Naruto, still reveling in his twisted amusement and channeling the dark persona within him, casually shrugged off Kakashi's admonition. "Yeah, yeah, Kakashi, whatever. Weaklings like him don't deserve a merciful end."
Kakashi's typically blank face showed a subtle hint of frustration at being ignored.
"Congrats, Naruto, but that was... really bloody," Sakura said hesitantly.
Naruto, with a manic grin, replied, "Thanks, Sakura. And this is how I get some form of amusement from fighting. I just wished my opponent lasted longer to show what fights I really love participating in ."
Sakura sighed, realizing arguing with Naruto in his current state might be futile. she mutters to herself, "He's way too good at picking the buttons of people, but I can't do anything about it."
Sakura, despite her fear of Naruto, felt a surge of motivation to train. She envisioned herself mocking and bullying Naruto in the future.
Meanwhile, Naruto, comparing Sakura to the scared genin around him, mused, "Sakura, at least, can still communicate with me. She's getting better compared to those weaklings and even some of his former classmates. Hmm, as expected of my influence. She's becoming much better."
As the realization dawned upon Sakura, she couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement. "Wait a minute," she said, turning to her teammates. "We all won and cleared the elimination round. We deserve something special, sensei."
Naruto, standing beside her, echoed her sentiment with a twisted grin. "Yeah, Kakashi. What will you do for us?" His tone carried a mix of curiosity and arrogance
Kakashi, ever nonchalant behind his mask, glanced at his triumphant team with a hint of amusement in his visible eye. "Well, well. Team 7 did exceptionally well, didn't they?"
Sakura, feeling a sense of entitlement, continued, "So, sensei, any special training or rewards for us? We've proven ourselves."
Naruto, his arms crossed, added, "We're not your average genin. We need something more."
Kakashi, hiding his amusement beneath his mask, responded, "Rewards will come, but let's wait until Sasuke recovers from the hospital."
Sakura's mind whirred with possibilities. She exchanged glances with Naruto, and they seemed to communicate silently. Naruto grinned mischievously and both of them said in sync. "Alright, sensei, get ready for something interesting."
As Hayate's voice echoed through the arena, announcing the next match—Neji Hyuga versus Hinata Hyuga
Hinata Hyuga faced her cousin, Neji Hyuga, in a battle that mirrored the intricate threads of their shared clan's destiny. The crowd hushed, anticipating a clash that would unfold within the boundaries of honor and heritage.
Hinata, her Byakugan activated, met Neji's piercing gaze with a determined yet nervous expression. Neji, the prodigious member of the Hyuga main branch, exuded confidence, his every movement calculated and precise.
The battle commenced with a flash of speed, both Hyuga heirs engaging in a taijutsu dance that transcended the physical realm. Hinata's movements were fluid, a testament to her training under Kurenai Yuhi. Neji, however, countered with an unyielding grace, his Byakugan dissecting every nuance of Hinata's attacks.
As the match progressed, Neji's strikes became more aggressive, the unspoken bitterness of the Hyuga clan's internal politics manifesting in his attacks. Hinata, though valiant, struggled to match Neji's skill. The Hyuga prodigy's words cut through the air like a blade.
"You're a failure, Hinata. No matter how hard you try, you'll always be confined to being a weakling. Accept your fate," Neji's voice, cold and authoritative, echoed in the arena.
Hinata, battered but resilient, fought on. Inner doubts and memories of past reprimands from her father haunted her thoughts. The weight of her clan's expectations bore down on her slender shoulders.
"I won't... give up," Hinata gasped, her words a testament to the silent strength that dwelled within her. Her resolve echoed through the arena, a fragile yet unyielding melody in the midst of chaos.
However, the fight took a dark turn as Neji, fueled by the resentment embedded in the very essence of his clan, unleashed a devastating attack. The forceful strike, aimed directly at Hinata's heart, threatened to crush not only her body but also the remnants of her spirit.
Time seemed to slow as the strike descended, the impending impact echoing through the arena. It was then that Hayate Gekko, the proctor, leaped into action, his voice cutting through the tension like a blade.
"Hold!" Hayate commanded, swiftly moving between Neji and the fallen Hinata. The intervention of Kakashi Hatake, Kurenai Yuhi, and Might Guy brought an end to the confrontation. Each of them, skilled and powerful in their own right, restrained Neji, holding his limbs in a vice-like grip.
Neji, momentarily halted, glared at the intrusion. "This is my destiny. No one has the right to interfere," he declared visciously, the resentment in his eyes mirroring the centuries-old feud ingrained in the Hyuga clan.
Guy, with a stern expression, chimed in, "Neji, your strength should be used to protect, not to destroy."
Neji's anger simmered beneath the surface. "As expected, the main branch gets favored by fate," he sneered, his gaze lingering on Hinata, who lay vulnerable and wounded on the battlefield.
As the proctors restrained Neji, Hinata, weakened but alive, was surrounded by medics. The medical-nin worked swiftly to stabilize her, tending to the injuries inflicted by her cousin's merciless assault.
"The winner of this match is Neji Hyuga of the Leaf Village!" Hayate declared
As the two Hyugas faced off, Naruto's analytical mind kicked into gear, his observations reflecting the influence of Sukuna's perspective.
The Byakugan, a precious dojutsu, granted the Hyuga clan a unique ability to see chakra and perceive their surroundings with exceptional clarity. Naruto, contemplating its applications beyond combat, mused about its potential in surgery or medical operations, realizing the value of such a tool for normal people.
As Neji unleashed his precise strikes, Naruto's scrutiny delved into the limitations of the Gentle Fist technique. While effective against shinobi who rely on chakra control, Naruto recognized a flaw. Against individuals with extensive medical knowledge or entities like himself , the efficiency of the Gentle Fist diminished.
Disappointment tainted Naruto's expression when both Hinata and Neji resorted to the 64 palms technique. "This is a sissy's way of fighting," he muttered under his breath, contrasting it with his own preference for more direct and brutal methods.
The appearance of Kakashi, Kurenai, Hayate, and Guy, interrupting Neji's seemingly fatal blow, sparked Naruto's interest. Jonins intervention stirred a reaction within him, contemplating the underlying complexities of the Hyuga clan's internal dynamics.
When Neji proclaimed that the main branch was favored by fate, Naruto's disdain was palpable. "Favored by fate, huh? More like favored because you don't have enough strength to make your vision into a reality," Naruto sneered, his voice a low growl. he thought, regarding Neji as an incapable coward
Slightly irritated, Naruto subconsciously flared his bloodlust and chakra, creating a subtle wave that caught the attention of the surrounding genin. Unbeknownst to Naruto, the genin began to distance themselves, feeling an instinctual fear in the face of the intense chakra radiating from him.
"A bunch of pansies, you lot," Naruto scoffed, his voice carrying a mocking tone. He directed his gaze at the other Genin, particularly those who were quick to distance themselves. "Afraid, huh? Not like Sakura here. Even though she's weak in strength, she's got more guts than the rest of you combined."
Sakura, caught off guard by Naruto's unexpected defense, sighed inwardly. She understood Naruto's mindset – a blend of fighting desire and an unusual embrace of his own bloodlust.
"Naruto," Sakura said, her voice carrying a mix of exasperation and fear, "you really need to tone it down. You're scaring everyone."
Naruto, unapologetic, glanced at Sakura with a raised eyebrow. "Scaring? Good. Maybe they'll learn something."
Sakura, in her internal dialogue, mused about Naruto's unique blend of unpredictability and intensity. "He's still Naruto, just with an ungodly amount of fighting desire and a thirst for blood," she thought, recognizing the core of Naruto's essence beneath the intimidating exterior.
A subtle frown creased the Third Hokage's brow as he considered Naruto's newfound love for fighting. He couldn't help but be worried about the potential consequences of such fervor. The Hokage, with a heavy heart, contemplated the impact this deep-seated desire for battle could have on Naruto's journey.
In his internal dialogue, the Third Hokage reflected, "The love for combat runs deep . While it fuels his determination, I must ensure it doesn't consume him entirely. Naruto's journey is fraught with challenges, and his path, if not guided carefully, could lead to a perilous destination." The concerns etched on the Third Hokage's face mirrored the weight of responsibility he bore for the future of the young ninja.
Hayate announced the next match in the Chunin Exams elimination round – Temari versus Tenten.
Tenten wasted no time, unveiling an impressive array of ninja tools through her Fuinjutsu prowess. The sheer volume and variety of weapons caught Naruto's attention, prompting a muttered comment, "Bun Bun must have a lot of money." Naruto, intrigued by the application of Fuinjutsu, began pondering the possibilities of such techniques. His mind wandered to the Original Eight Sign Seal, Orochimaru's Cursed Seal, and the Five Element Seal, sparking a newfound interest in studying and potentially creating forbidden Fuinjutsu.
On the other side, Temari, wielding her giant fan, unleashed Wind Release jutsu to effortlessly repel Tenten's barrage of projectiles. "Wind chakra, huh?" he muttered to himself, a twisted grin forming on his face. "Never thought it could be this interesting."
As the battle unfolded, Naruto's mind raced with thoughts, each more maliciously intriguing than the last. "Imbuing it into long-range attacks, that could be fun," he mumbled, envisioning a scenario where wind-infused projectiles wreaked havoc on the battlefield. His expression turned into a demonic smirk as he considered the potential for chaos.
A dark amusement danced in his eyes as he continued, "A bubble for flying... Now that's something. Imagine the chaos I could unleash from above."
The glint in his eyes intensified as Naruto explored the concept of enhancing chakra strings with wind chakra. "Sharper cuts, slicing through anything in my way," he chuckled. The twisted possibilities played out in his mind like a malevolent symphony.
Meanwhile,
As the battle continued, Temari engaged Tenten in a verbal exchange, urging her to give up. Tenten, drawing inspiration from Rock Lee's encouragement in the stands, smiled and mustered her determination.
In a climactic moment, Tenten unleashed her Twin Rising Dragon technique, while Temari countered with a powerful Wind Release jutsu through her fan. Naruto, still engrossed in his thoughts about wind chakra, remained captivated by the unfolding battle.
"The winner of this match is Temari of the Sand Village!" Hayate declared
Kakashi, observing Naruto's growing interest and drive for learning ninjutsu, couldn't shake off a sense of concern. He pondered whether Naruto's newfound enthusiasm bordered on an unhealthy obsession.
Hayate announced the next match in the Chunin Exams: Kiba Inuzuka versus Choji Akimichi. The two contestants faced each other with determined expressions, ready for the battle to unfold.
"Begin!" declared Hayate, and the fight commenced.
Choji, showing a surprising burst of agility, dodged Kiba's initial onslaught with practiced ease. His strategy seemed focused on careful observation, a calculated approach to understand Kiba's movements. Naruto, however, observed the fight with a nonchalant demeanor.
As the battle progressed, Choji began to decipher Kiba's patterns. With a grin, Naruto found himself recalling the merging of his seals and the revelation about the Yang Release in his previous body. The memory stirred intrigue in him, pondering the applications of Yang Release in various techniques.
However, Naruto's interest waned as he deemed Kiba's jutsu unimpressive. His eyes reflected a sinister amusement, contrasting with the intensity of the ongoing match. In a flash of memories, Naruto recalled his own transformations, the merging of seals, and the distinct nature of Kyuubi's chakra—pure Yang.
"Is this all they've got?" Naruto mumbled, a twisted frown forming. "Weaklings trying to impress with mediocre techniques."
Meanwhile, the battle took an unexpected turn. Choji, who had been seemingly on the defensive, suddenly unleashed a powerful Expansion Jutsu. Naruto's attention was caught as Choji manipulated an impressive amount of Yang Release. The sight intrigued him, drawing parallels to his own experiences with Yang chakra.
As the clash reached its climax, Asuma promised a barbecue reward to Choji after the Chunin Exams. Fired up by the prospect, Choji landed a decisive punch, sending Kiba sprawling.
"The winner of this match is Choji Akimichi of the Leaf Village!" Hayate declared
"Pathetic," Naruto muttered under his breath. "These weaklings think they can become Chunin? What a joke."
Hayate announced the next match in the Chunin Exams: Gaara versus Rock Lee.
The first moments of the battle were marked by a charged silence. Gaara stood with his arms folded, seemingly uninterested in the proceedings. On the other side, Rock Lee's eyes sparkled with determination.
In a burst of speed, Rock Lee closed the distance between them, aiming for a swift kick. However, Gaara's sand responded with almost preternatural reflexes, blocking Lee's attack effortlessly.
Their exchange marked the beginning of a fierce confrontation. Rock Lee unleashed a flurry of high-speed kicks, each aimed with precision. Gaara, however, relied on his sand as an impenetrable shield, effortlessly deflecting Lee's attacks.
"Your speed is impressive, but it means nothing against my absolute defense," Gaara taunted, his sand swirling around him protectively.
With a sudden burst of speed, Rock Lee delivered a powerful kick, sending Gaara skidding across the arena. The sand, momentarily disrupted, struggled to reform its protective barrier.
"Impossible..." Gaara muttered, his stoic façade cracking.
Rock Lee, his body bathed in a green aura from the opened chakra gates, stood firm. "I told you, Gaara, the power of youth knows no bounds!"
Temari and Kankuro, who had witnessed Gaara's seemingly invincible defenses, expressed shock at the unexpected turn of events. Sakura, in disbelief, questioned Guy about the techniques he had taught Lee.
Guy, with a proud grin, replied, "Lee is like me, only practicing taijutsu!" He stood on the sidelines, watching with excitement as Lee showcased the unparalleled speed and precision of his martial arts.
The genin spectators, including Ino, Neji, and Kiba, were visibly shocked by Lee's incredible speed. Even seasoned Jonin like Kurenai and Asuma found themselves astonished, exclaiming that both Naruto and Lee were faster than they anticipated.
Anko, Asuma, and Team 8—Shikamaru, Choji, Neji, and Tenten—acknowledged Lee's determination and taijutsu skills. They were taken aback, recognizing the level of speed and prowess that Lee displayed, almost reminiscent of a Jonin.
In the Hokage's viewing area, the Third Hokage couldn't help but approve of Lee's talent and taijutsu skills. He nodded in recognition of the exceptional display unfolding in the arena.
Meanwhile, Baki, an observer from the Sand Village, pondered the situation. He wondered if Konoha, even in its weakened state, could still pose a formidable challenge to other villages. The unexpected prowess of Konoha's genin, particularly Naruto and now Lee, raised questions about the village's true strength.
Gaara, for the first time, showed a flicker of surprise. The relentless assault of Rock Lee was pushing him to reassess his opponent's capabilities.
In response, Lee unleashed the full extent of his speed, blurring across the arena with astounding agility. Gaara observed with a detached curiosity as Lee activated the Fifth Gate, a risky technique that significantly enhanced his strength and speed.
Rock Lee, fueled by unwavering determination, initiated the Reverse Lotus, a high-risk maneuver that left the spectators in awe. Gaara, however, was no stranger to danger. At the last moment, he skillfully switched places with a sand clone, avoiding the full brunt of Lee's assault.
For Rock Lee, the battle was both physical and mental. As he unleashed his taijutsu with unparalleled speed, his inner monologue echoed with determination.
"I can't let up. Gaara may have his sand, but I have my strength. I will prove that even against the odds, a ninja who can't use ninjutsu or genjutsu can still prevail!"
As the dust settled, Gaara stood scathed, his sand acting as a protective cushion. His cold gaze shifted to Lee, who, despite the incredible effort, showed signs of exhaustion. The air became tense as Gaara, sensing Lee's fatigue, decided to exploit his opponent's vulnerability.
Rock Lee, while physically exhausted, felt a surge of determination. He wouldn't let his efforts be in vain.
"One more technique. I can do this. I'll prove that even against the odds, hard work and determination can triumph."
With sudden ferocity, Gaara launched an attack, enveloping Lee's left arm and left leg in his relentless sand. The crowd fell silent as Gaara executed his signature move – the Sand Coffin. Lee, trapped and incapacitated, struggled against the unyielding force of Gaara's technique.
Naruto , analyzing the peculiar technique known as the Eight Gates that Lee unleashed.
"Opening the Eight Gates, huh?" Naruto muttered, his eyes glinting with a sinister curiosity. "High risk, high reward. I like that."
His mind raced with thoughts of improving upon the Eight Gates, considering the integration of both yin and yang chakra.
"Opening new routes, enhancing reactions and mental processing," Naruto muttered to himself. "Delicate control of Yin chakra in the brain and Yang chakra circulating in the body below the head. High risk, high reward. Not for the physically inferior."
Sakura, on the other hand, felt a deep respect for Lee's unwavering determination. Neji, with his Byakugan, recognized the significance of Lee's pursuit against his own limitations.
"He's... standing unconscious," Sakura gasped, realizing the toll of Lee's powerful technique. "But look at him; he's incredible."
Naruto, appreciating Lee's commitment to taijutsu, couldn't help but express his approval. "Now that's someone I'd want to fight."
In the aftermath of the assault, Gaara retreated from Lee, the sand dissipating to reveal the defeated Rock Lee. Gaara's eyes narrowed, assessing Lee's condition. The battle had taken its toll on the passionate ninja.
However, as the crowd anticipated Gaara's next move, Lee, against all odds, attempted to rise. His body wobbled, battered and bruised, but his spirit refused to yield.
Guy, witnessing Lee's tenacity, couldn't hide his pride. "Lee, my boy! That's the spirit! Stand tall!" he exclaimed, a mixture of joy, fear and admiration in his voice.
In a moment of unexpected drama, Gaara, recognizing Lee's lingering threat, made a chilling decision. Before anyone could react, he aimed to deliver a fatal blow.
But in a swift intervention, Guy leaped into the arena, rescuing his student from Gaara's deadly intent. "Hold on, Lee! You've done admirably," Guy declared, a mixture of concern and pride evident in his eyes.
Hayate, the proctor, stepped forward, acknowledging the outcome. "Gaara is the winner of this match."
"Lee, you've got guts," Naruto muttered, a malevolent glint in his eyes. "I can't wait to face you when all those gates are open." Approvingly, he said to himself, "Lee, a shinobi dedicated to the art of combat. A refreshing change from these weaklings relying on diverse jutsu with no mastery of it. I might just want to fight him when all the gates are opened."
As Hayate announced the last match of the elimination round between Shikamaru and Kin Tsuchi, Naruto couldn't hide his irritation. "Great, gotta watch a weak, cowardly woman and a lazy ass fight," he muttered under his breath.
The match began with Kin attacking, throwing bells and using strings to launch senbons at Shikamaru. Naruto, initially perplexed by Shikamaru's seemingly lazy dodging, soon realized Nara's strategy. Shikamaru's unexpected move left Kin disoriented, and as she attempted to change direction, Shikamaru swiftly trapped her with the Shadow Possession Jutsu.
Naruto, shocked by Shikamaru's strategic brilliance, couldn't help but genuinely praise him. "Not bad, Shikamaru! That was clever," he exclaimed, genuinely amazed that the lazy ass had pulled off such a move.
As Shikamaru showcased his tactical prowess with the Shadow Possession Jutsu, Naruto's analytical mind went to work. He started to observe and dissect the technique, comparing it to other Yin Release jutsu he had encountered. Naruto noted the differences, primarily focusing on the nature of Ino's possession jutsu compared to Shikamaru's shadow manipulation.
In his analysis, Naruto recognized that Ino's jutsu was more related to the spiritual or soul side, involving taking control of another person's body. On the other hand, Shikamaru's technique focused on materializing and manipulating shadows while imbuing them with chakra. Naruto's keen observation extended to considering the possibilities of Yin and Yang Release, contemplating the exploration of different chakra properties and their potential combinations.
Hayate, the proctor, stepped forward, acknowledging the outcome. "Shikamaru Nara is the winner of this match."
Hayate then announces " May I have all the winners of this elimination round gathered in the arena!"
The winners of the preliminary round gathered in the designated area as Hayate called out their names one by one.
Naruto ,Temari, Sakura, Shikamaru, Choji, Gaara, Neji, Kankuro, and Shino, each heard their names and made their way to the assembly point. Naruto, with his usual swagger, joined the group with an air of nonchalance.
Meanwhile, Kakashi, standing in for the absent Sasuke, also arrived, casting a casual glance at the participants.
Hayate took center stage and addressed the group, "Congratulations to all of you for making it through the preliminary round! Now, it's time to determine your opponents for the final phase of the Chunin Exams."
As Anko handed him a box containing the balls representing each participant, Hayate continued, "Each of you will draw a ball from this box. The names on the balls will determine your matchups. Make sure to take only one."
The tension in the air was palpable as the genin approached the box. Naruto, not known for his patience, impatiently grabbed a ball, eager to find out his opponent.
As the participants gathered their respective balls, Hayate announced the matchups.
"Naruto Uzumaki versus Neji Hyuga!"
Disdain was portrayed on Naruto's face as he absorbed the information, while Neji maintained his stoic expression. It promised to be an intense battle.
"Shikamaru Nara versus Sasuke Uchiha!"
Sakura's eyes widened in surprise as the name Sasuke was called. Shikamaru, too, looked somewhat intrigued by the unexpected pairing.
"Temari versus Choji Akimichi!"
Temari and Choji exchanged glances, sizing each other up for the impending clash.
"Gaara versus Shino Aburame!"
Shino's expression remained hidden behind his shades, but Gaara's eyes gleamed with anticipation. The prospect of facing the enigmatic Shino intrigued him.
"Sakura Haruno versus Kankuro!"
Sakura squared her shoulders, determined to face Kankuro head-on. Kankuro, with his puppet by his side, eyed Sakura with a hint of curiosity.
The Third Hokage stepped forward, addressing the participants, "Congratulations on reaching this stage. You have one month to prepare for your matches. Use this time wisely to strategize and hone your skills."
The genin absorbed the information, some exchanging glances with their opponents, while others remained focused on their individual thoughts.
As the elimination round is concluded, the participants filed out of the tower, leaving Naruto, Neji, Shikamaru, Temari, Choji, Gaara, Shino, Sakura, and Kankuro to embark on a month of intense preparation and anticipation for the final phase of the Chunin Exams.
