AN: Just to be clear for those that didn't understand it in the last chapter. Our fucking idiotic OC has knowledge of Naruto only. He doesn't know about JJK, cursed techniques, or any of that good stuff. And he certainly doesn't have a fucking clue about Sukuna.

I'm alone in the damn cell.

And it's still so damn quiet.

"Oi. Sukuna"

I feel my cheek twist and morph. One of my extra eyes pops open. Before I hadn't really gotten a chance to take stock of the feeling of a smaller secondary face appearing on my cheek, but now that I have-

Fuck that feels so damn weird.

"...mmmm…." the face groans, seemingly tired, but more than certainly bored, "what is it, brat?"

I'm starting to understand his character a little bit better.

One of those 'enjoys a good fight' psycho's that appear in different animes. I'm hoping he's not that much of a sinister fuck wit, considering I'm bound to him, but I'll cross that bridge if or when it comes my way.

"Are you really stronger than all of the village's Shinobi combined?"

"Yes"

I scoff at how immediate the answer is.

"So let's assume you're crazy strong then-"

"I am"

"So you're the strongest" I reiterate my point, rotating my wrist as slowly as I can in order to return some feeling to my fingers. The heavy chains barely allowed any movement and most of my body was sore, more so in my extremities.

But I circle around to my question.

"How'd you end up sealed?"

It seemed like a fair query.

After all, anyone who was mad powerful from before either ended up dead or in hiding. Looking at you, Madara, wherever you are.

But sealed?

If you couldn't destroy something, i.e: a tailed beast, you sealed it.

So therefore-

Sukuna retracted from my face without a second's hesitation.

"Hey" I say aloud, "I'm not tryna piss you off, I'm just curious-"

My heart thumps loudly and my eyes swiftly close.

The next moment I'm standing in a familiar sunken place, water up to my ankles. Unlike the last time though, the red eyed grouch isn't on his ever present throne.

He's waiting at the bottom of it.

"I'm sorry" I preempt, really trying not to get punched in the face- or worse- for just trying to ask a simple question.

"Your apologies are meaningless, brat. You are meaningless"

A shimmer passed over his body.

He was now dressed in a smooth gray robe, something you'd find in an old monastery or something. I couldn't imagine Sukuna as any kind of pious or charitable Monk, but he certainly looked the part right now.

If it weren't for the threatening tattoos and the whole four eyes thing… well his smile was still very creepy but he looked more presentable in the robe.

"I'm aware" I gripe back, not really caring if it'll catch me a fist or two. After all he's done to me so far, why should I care if he beat me a little more? What's the worst he could do?

I probably should have worried though.

Because with a swipe of his finger, Sukuna slices my feet off. Just like that. No build up, insults, threats or anything.

One second I have feet.

The next I'm a sudden amputee.

Shock sets in immediately.

I fall on my back and into the water with a whimper, which quickly turns into a pained scream.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!"

Ah.

It fucking hurts.

It really fucking hurts.

My blood is blooming out into the water around us-

Tourniquet, gotta-

He's standing beside me in an instant.

"Heal yourself"

…huh?

"WITH WHAT YOU FUCKIN' ASS-"

A fist collides with my face before I can get the '-HOLE!' out.

More pain.

My legs are still bleeding. And yet Ryomen Sukuna still speaks to me in an even and borderline lazy tone.

"Feel the wound" he states oh so simply, "and heal it"

My heart's pounding.

The pain is making me delirious.

I can't even run… I don't have feet.

"I… I can't…" I manage to pant.

The world is wobbling.

"Then you will die" Sukuna simply states.

No.

No no.

No no NO.

I don't wanna die. I can't die. I didn't get to live yet! I didn't get to-

The world goes black.

"Pathet-"

Sukuna's insult cuts away as the world drops out from beneath me. With a horrible twist of vertigo, reality begins to spin and spin and spin without stopping.

It's getting faster and faster, the blur of my existence hurtling around my head.

And then I'm back in the sunken place, eyes wide and fearful, the memories of pain still lingering in my thoughts.

I'm whole again.

And I feel like I'm gonna-

"What the fuck…"

My body convulses.

Sukuna is lounging on his throne as I shakily make it to my feet.

"I said I'd teach you, brat" he's idly examining one of the skulls that makes up his pile in the palm of his clawed hand.

Placing it back down he fixes me with a savage smile.

"Don't expect my methods to be-"

I don't understand why he stopped grinning. The expression had been instantly dragged from his face only a moment after he looked at me.

His eyes were locked upon mine.

And his mouth let the word out, aloud, for the only two occupants of this space to hear.

"Impossible"

The microexpressions on his face tell me he's having a hard time keeping down abject surprise. But with the way his eyes are pinched, my best guess is that…

Is that…

Microexpressions?

Minute details?

I break his gaze, and my eyes fall upon my hand.

There's a famous expression I can recall. Something about knowing something or another like the back of your hand.

Well I never knew my hand had so much detail since before now.

'Ah? What the hell is this?'

Movement catches my eye.

Sukuna leaps from the throne. I saw his legs brace, I saw his body coil, and now I see him fly toward me and-

He's in my face in the next second.

I can't believe I tracked him doing that… usually he's just a blur but-

I frown and begin to study what little of the barren wasteland around us there is. Darkness rings the horizon in every direction, but I somehow know that my next statement is true.

Regardless of the little evidence I have available.

"I can see better"

I looked back at the now silent Ryomen Sukuna.

"This your doing?"

He cocked an eyebrow at me, his hands sliding into the opposite sleeves of his robe.

"You're full of surprises brat"

"So it's not you?"

He didn't say anything.

And he also wasn't attacking me right now. Yet somewhere I could just tell that he desperately wanted to. He wanted to inflict pain upon me for asking that question, for demanding confirmation from him.

I gaze down into the water between us.

The first look I get into the water immediately causes my gaze to widen, and my head snaps towards the 'sky'.

Upon the formerly inky black canvas is now an endless spattering of stars and flickering lights. The night sky, now stretching out into an infinity beyond our comprehension.

…now that's a pretty sweet change to this dreary ass place.

But pushing that aside for the moment, I look back into the water beneath me.

I look at my eyes in the reflection.

Still a light blue, a very elegant shade-

But they shone.

It was ever so slight, and yet I could tell it was there. My eyes have changed. But why? And to what?

"Glowing blue eyes" I mutter, "not the worst change"

A strange noise blurted from Sukuna's figure.

I eye him curiously.

Did he…

Did he just laugh?

"Any of this-" I point at my eyes and then at the endless cosmos above us, "-mean anything to you?"

Sukuna took a long breath.

"Of course it does. This changes things"

Gotta give him credit, the red eyed bastard does a great job of revealing absolutely nothing.

He took a second to mull over his thoughts, his gaze hovering just above my head as he considered something beyond the very space we stood in.

"Reverse Cursed Technique will have to wait"

Reverse what?

Sukuna's fists dropped from his robes.

"So we'll start with Manipulation"

Roiling red energy coated his hands. That… that didn't look fun at all.

"Hold on, time out"

The malevolent asshole cocked his eyebrow again.

"You were trying to teach me something by killing me? We can kill each other in here?"

He gaze dropped to an unimpressed half glare, "the only way to learn how to heal a wound is to heal a wound"

"That doesn't mean cut my damn feet off!" I bark back.

He rolls his shoulders.

"I said I'd teach you. My methods worked for me. They'll work for you too. Now…" he readies himself.

"Wait wait wait!" I hold my hands up, jumping back a foot just to be sure. I know he can move crazy fast but the little bit of personal space makes me feel safer.

"Can we kill each other in here… whatever 'here' is?"

I can tell he's super frustrated now.

But he answers.

"We are where our souls have conjoined. A shared subconscious Domain. We cannot kill each other in here"

'That explains some of it… BUT NOT ENOUGH! Subconscious Domain? Conjoined Souls? I know we're bound, but I still don't know what it MEANS! And can't kill? It sure as hell felt like it!'

My attention is drawn to Sukuna slipping into a fighting stance.

Oh fuck.

His fists flare up brightly. Red eyes gleam with a murderous promise.

Fuck fuck fuck.

"Now. Try to strike me, as I strike you"

"AH? Wait a second I-"

Sukuna did not wait a second.

And thanks to these new eyes of mine, I got to enjoy the slow-mo arrival of his knuckles into my face.

"They're speaking to one another"

Hiruzen just hummed in agreement.

The Hokage had let another day pass, just to see if anything further would develop. He'd spent a few hours within the archives, uncovering as much as he could related to the seal.

Unfortunately, besides a few instances of Shinobi coming into contact with it through one way or another, nothing new had been uncovered.

"If Inoichi couldn't get into his mind, then there is little we can do to prevent it" Hiruzen declared with finality, "I can only hope that Ryo-kun is not as easily deceived as Naruto-kun"

Danzo fixed Hiruzen with a glare.

"You believe the boy?"

"Keh" Hiruzen grunted, "I believe that this entire situation is beyond my understanding, and unless you've been keeping anything else from me, that's not likely to change"

Danzo wanted to grit his teeth in rage.

"My agent reported the boy had been waiting for the Nine Tails"

"A lucky guess" Hiruzen easily dismissed.

"And searching through the seal!"

"Youthful curiosity is what Gai would call it" the Sandaime mused.

"And the seal?! It was addressed to him!? Don't bullshit me, Hiruzen, you know that something is wrong here" Danzo finally snapped.

The Third Hokage very calmly, and very firmly, turned to speak to his friend.

"Danzo. The Seal had not been altered since it was entrusted to the Senju. It had remained in its current form for at least three centuries. No one could open it"

Hiruzen nodded down toward the cell.

"And then along comes a boy, who not only opens it, but says he did so because it was addressed to him"

Danzo is silent as Hiruzen refocuses his gaze on Ryo's unconscious body.

"We are dealing with forces beyond our understanding Danzo" he pulled his pipe out, "and I believe the best course of action is to tread lightly"

And then Ryo woke up.

In the next second, the boy was making a scene.

"AH FUCK THATS BRIGHT!"

I pinch my eyes shut, a dreary blanket of both mental and physical exhaustion weighing over me as I try to push away the light.

Why'd they make it brighter in here?!

After getting my ass beat like a Taiko Drum for a seemingly endless amount of time, courtesy of Shitkuna himself, I was hoping for a bit of rest. A bit of relief. Maybe a dark room and a cold pillow.

But no.

How rude of me to hope for that.

I'm still in chains.

Still under suspicion of treason.

Still being watched by… two, five, seven, twelve- no, thirteen ANBU! Thirteen!

And I'm still fucking hungry.

It's been at least two days, MAYBE MORE! There's no damn clocks in here after all, and I just cant-

The chains rattle.

There's a sword pointed at every vital point of my body in the next second.

'Easy. Sukuna maybe heavy handed, but he said my control sucked, so reel it in'

As a Shinobi hopeful, I knew what Chakra was.

But this Cursed Energy, the stuff that Sukuna and now I use, is way different. Well… He didn't really explain what it was, all I know is that it felt different than Chakra did.

It had similar applications, but all he'd done was show me how to draw upon it.

A difference between the two sources of power was that Cursed Energy is heavily regulated and manipulated by emotions and mind set.

So in order to pull back what little energy I'm leaking out, I try to calm myself.

Which is easier said than done thanks to all the swords pointed at me. And my current predicament. And my mental and physical state.

'Really gotta stop giving them reasons to worry' I sheepishly grinned at the closest ANBU, the one with a sword to my neck.

It's a Weasel Mask.

A Weasel…

All of my attention focuses on this particular ANBU.

And as I do so I see more.

Coal black eyes behind the eye holes, pale skin, black hair-

Three Red Tomoe spiral into existence.

The Sword pushes up into my chin, the blade resting at my jugular.

"Release your technique"

At the sound of the feminine voice, I want to breathe a sigh of relief. Not Itachi then. But then her command runs through my brain a second time.

"Ma?" I whine, "I'm not doing anything though"

"Your eyes"

"Uh…" I focus for a moment, but nothing happens, "sorry ANBU-san, but I don't know how to turn them off right now"

Before anything else can be said, a familiar feeling works itself up and into my cheek.

"Monkey! Get down here before someone dies!"

One of the ANBU takes offense to that.

"You do not order the Hokage, Monster!"

It's the one with the Bear Mask. He's partially behind me, his sword is against my spine. Sukuna then does the new grossest thing I've ever felt and moves across my body.

I can feel his mouth on my shoulder, the piece having moved there in order to speak directly to the Bear Mask.

"When the Brat switches with me for the first time, you will be the first that I kill, Bear"

H-Holy shit.

The room is now fucking tense. As it should be. That was a pretty murderous statement given out by the free floating face on my body.

But thankfully before anything else can transpire, the Hokage's immediate arrival slices through the palpable tension.

It also stabs at my new damn eyes.

"At ease"

Hiruzen looks like some kind of deity in my new vision. I can see his Chakra, much larger and deeper than all of the now scattered ANBU.

Looking at the third is like staring straight at the sun.

It almost hurts…

So I look for the ANBU.

Crow.

Lion.

Snake.

Oh, there's Bear. He's up in the rafters.

…and the Weasel is above the door to the room.

A female Uchiha?

So I'm pre-massacre then? But wait, the Genin exam has already happened? Shouldn't the Uchiha have been slaughtered down to-

"Sukuna" Hiruzen speaks loud and clear, "please do not threaten my ANBU. Otherwise I will be forced to act"

The mouth instantly returns to my cheek.

"And do what, exactly? You can't beat me, Monkey"

…how has this devolved into a pissing contest?

Hiruzen is a proud leader who will protect his people…. And Sukuna is a prideful asshole from what I can tell so far.

"Should we battle one another, I will give it my all"

The look that Hiruzen is giving my cheek is pretty damn serious.

"I'll hold you to that" the face taunts, before closing itself up and vanishing.

There is silence once more.

It is the Hokage that breaks it.

"Ryo"

I met his eye, just barely able to hide the wince.

"Much has happened. But I'd like to hear it from you. How is it now that we have come to this moment? And what should be done next?"

That…. That was a pretty serious set of questions.

"Right" I think it through.

Where to start.

Oh.

That'll do.

"Well I had a dream. Before the exam night. A nightmare I guess… there was this wheel and-"

I was careful with my words.

Especially regarding the thing.

But the further I got from that moment, the easier it was to explain everything.

And the Hokage watched me with great intensity. He processed every word, every stumbled explanation and every detail I threw at him.

And then I talked about Ryomen Sukuna.

The face of the red eyed bastard never popped up, so I'm guessing he didn't feel the need to add anything.

And then the Hokage knew as much as I did.

Which was next to nothing.

But if anyone is capable of figuring difficult things out, it would be Hiruzen Sarutobi.

"And of course, I've got new eyes now!" I say with some mock excitement, "but everything kinda hurts to look at… you got some spare bandages or something like that I could borrow, Hokage-sama?"

Hiruzen carefully peers at my eyes.

I flinch back at the sudden focus of Chakra, which earns me a raised brow from the Hokage.

"What can you see?"

My answer is immediate.

But it's also truthful.

"Everything. If I focus enough"

My blue gaze never left his own.

Hiruzen raises himself to his full height, "all I can offer you as of this moment is cloth, Ryo-kun"

"Sweet" I grin, before looking around my cell, looking at my binding chains, and then back at the Hokage, "uh… am I… am I being released now, Hokage-sama"

Hiruzen nodded.

"You are"

That's a fucking sweet relief.

"But unfortunately, you cannot go home and rest, Ryo-kun. You are expected at the Academy"

"HUH?!"

Hiruzen smiled grandfatherly at the youth, "since you are now a Genin, you will be assigned to a Genin-Cell, alongside a Jonin-Instructor"

Oh.

"And after your team placements, I wish to speak with you, Ryo-kun"

Right.

Well…

Covered in chains and seals, restrained in a dungeon deep beneath Konoha, I wasn't expecting to feel so excited.

Eh.

Fortune favors the bold.

"Any chance of getting these chains off then, Hokage-sama?"

When Naruto stepped up to the door to Iruka's classroom, he couldn't deny how he felt.

Nervous.

Worried.

Even as the comforting weight of his Genin headband rested against his brow, the youth had troubled thoughts.

'Gramps didn't tell me much'

And it was true.

Over ramen the Hokage had explained what had happened in full. A very unofficial debriefing regarding Naruto and his roll in the theft of the Scroll of Seals. But he hadn't said anything about the Seal that Ryo touched.

He hadn't even said WHAT had happened to Ryo!

Wait.

No.

Gramps's words came to the forefront of his mind.

'I'm afraid I can't say for certain, Naruto-kun'

So… that meant that even the old man wasn't sure what happened?

Regardless.

The incident had delayed the team Assignments. Once things had calmed down a message was delivered to every student that had passed and recieved their headbands.

The Team Assignments were today.

Beyond this door was the beginning of the blonde's Shinobi Career.

And in this moment Naruto's joy at finally becoming a Ninja was pitted against the worry he held for his friend.

Would Ryo be there?

Or.. or was he-

"Oi! Naruto!"

That voice!

The blonde spun, a smile on his features as his fears washed away.

At the end of the corridor, approaching the door he stood before, was a familiar yet odd sight.

It was Ryo.

And walking by his side was Gramps!

Taken aback by the old man's presence, Naruto looked back to his friend and-

"AH! RYO?! WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR EYES?!"

Sasuke Uchiha's gaze shifted to door at the incredibly loud and annnoyingly familiar voice that blasted through Classroom door.

'Naruto'

A few other of his classmates regarded the commotion briefly, before turning back to talk to one another.

Sasuke on the other hand, mulled over the words that Naruto had shouted.

'...Ryo's eyes?'

What was that about?

Ryo was injured? Did this have something to do with the incident? His Father, Fugaku, had deployed both the main and reserve forces of the Shinobi Police Force.

Sasuke had never got the details, but he was certain Itami had been deployed as well.

His older sister hadn't been home in three days.

So whatever happened had been serious.

What-

The door opened.

Naruto's familiar loud and cheerful figure was the first through the door, but slowly heads were turning as the second person walked through the door.

Many eyes went wide.

Sasuke's included.

The Third Hokage was here.

In ceremonial robes, the Will of Fire emblazoned upon his hat and robe.

No one paid attention to the two youths that had entered the room with him. The leader of the Hidden Leaf made his way behind Iruka's desk and sat comfortably.

"If you would all be seated" Hiruzen serenely smiled.

Everyone scrambled for their seats.

And once the entire class was sitting quietly and attentively, Hiruzen spoke.

"I congratulate you all on passing your exams. Through trial and tribulation, you all have overcome the odds and passed. From this moment forth, you are Genin of Konoha. You are the protectors of this Village. You are the leaves of the great tree. I am here to personally thank you for taking this responsibility upon yourselves"

Hiruzen paused for a moment, letting his words sink in upon youth.

"A word of wisdom, for those that will listen. This is not the last examination you will face. You will find that the Shinobi life will test you in many ways. Apply yourselves, as you have done now, and you will prevail"

The corner of Sasuke's vision caught Shikamaru's posture straightening.

"Trust in yourselves. Trust in your comrades. The will of fire is entrusted to you all. I know you will do your best"

And with that, the Hokage stood, bowed, and slowly exited the room.

As he stepped out, Iruka stepped in.

'That's a tough act to follow' I can't help but grin to myself.

Hokage-sama was a good speaker. His words were heartfelt, meaningful and-

Honest.

He meant it all.

Something about his energy, something about how his Chakra looked in that moment, was honest.

…these eyes are pretty cool.

Iruka's voice fills the room.

The awe of the Hokage's presence starts to wane following his departure, and a few kids in the back rows begin to chat with one another.

"Jiji's pretty cool, ya know"

I flick a grin at Naruto, who had whispered the quiet comment to himself.

"He's the Hokage, idiot" I chide, getting Naruto's attention, "of course he-"

"What happened to you. What happened to your eyes?" Naruto is quick to quietly ask, his gaze settling on me.

Eh… right.

I'm a pretty sore sight to be fair.

My pants are… scuffed up. Noticeably so. The ANBU had given me a spare white shirt in replacement of my regular gray pullover that Sukuna had torn up in his rampage.

It matched the white sash tied around my eyes.

A work in progress idea, but it does a good job of blocking out all the extrasensory information my gaze happens to pick up upon. Somehow I can still see through the cloth, but it's just enough to see as I normally would. Which is so bloody convenient. I don't think I can handle supervision all the damn time.

To answer Naruto though.

I hold a finger to my lips, then mouth the words ''Not now'

Hiruzen had mentioned on the way here not to explain anything. For now, my new eyes had a fabulous excuse, approved by the Hokage himself.

This was a lie that even Naruto had to buy.

Sukuna's rampage would be chalked up to an over stimulation of my ability. It was a shaky story at best, but something that Naruto wouldn't be able to dig further into.

It's not like Hiruzen would tell him the truth.

And since I'm on thin ice with my Village Leader, I'd also keep my trap shut.

'Sorry Naruto' I think to myself sadly, 'but not yet. Maybe-'

Over the blonde's shoulder my gaze makes contact with coal black eyes.

And there he is.

His face is in my memories. This body's memories.

Sasuke Uchiha.

One day to be Konoha's number one traitor.

And then to redeem himself even after trying to murder Naruto. I can recall every time in the Academy that I lost to him in a spar. Which is to say every time I was paired up against him.

I've got no love for the bastard.

But considering what he goes through.

I'm at least going to make sure I do my best to help him. Unless he tries to kill Naruto. Then the gloves are coming off.

Sasuke seems to notice I'm looking back at him, the subtle shift of my head catching his attention.

His eyes narrow.

He likely caught what I mouthed to Naruto.

…he's also probably curious about the cloth.

….troublesome.

Shikamaru sneezed.

Whatever I could do regarding Sasuke's attention is swept away by a very obnoxious voice.

"Sensei! What's Naruto-baka doing here?!"

Affronted, the blonde jumped up in outrage.

"Because I passed, ya damn mutt!"

"What'd you call me, asshole!?"

"WHY DON'T YOU-"

"SILENCE!"

I resist the urge to pick my ear, but damn.

Iruka's got lungs.

"Settle down, the both of you!" Iruka barks, and the two idiots comply. The Chunin sighs, before gesturing at Naruto, "Naruto has earned his headband, Kiba. If you have any complaints I suggest you take it up with Hokage-sama"

That really shut the boy down.

Iruka returned to addressing the room.

"As I was saying, Team Three under Jonin Sensei-"

I tuned him out.

Didn't care, really.

I just needed to know where I'd be. Naruto was probably being matched up with Sasuke and…

And…

I look around.

HUH?!

I hadn't noticed it before now, but where was Sakura Haruno?

The third piece of team seven was-

When I did my exam I had assumed she had already left the building, but looking around now I can't see her anywhere. Did she fail?

No.

Her smarts alone get her through the test, as well as her Chakra Control.

But she's not here.

That can't be right. The rest of the main cast are here besides team Gai of course, so where is the Pink Haired-

My thoughts short circuit.

The only one here with pink hair is…

Is…

Me.

"Team Seven, under Jonin Hatake Kakashi, will be comprised of Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and Ryo!"

And all I can think of in that moment is two things.

The first is that I think my existence has replaced Sakura Haruno.

And the second is that while this may be the world of Naruto, things are different.

Up until this moment I hadn't really paid much attention, taking for granted what was happening and relying upon my knowledge of the show.

But-

The Wheel had been spun twice.

My blood goes cold.

Sukuna.

Cursed Energy.

These… these eyes.

The world I'm in is different.

…fuck.

But how different?

The other Jonin Sensei's had arrived promptly to collect their teams.

Asuma and Kurenai were one's I expected.

Uchiha Shisui was not one of those people.

As he walked away with his team I scolded myself for not listening to the team assignments.

That's a lot of useful information completely gone.

So as myself, Naruto and Sasuke are forced to wait for the painfully slow Kakashi to make an appearance, I take some time to remember everything.

Before I took over, Ryo wasn't a very attentive person.

But I had a few memories of the Uchiha police, including ones from only a week ago. From when they caught myself and Naruto after a good bit of fun.

Though now I knew for sure that the Uchiha were still around.

The coup hadn't happened.

Or… it had been resolved.

What did this mean regarding Obito?

Kakashi still had a singular Sharingan. I remember the fight through Sukuna's eyes. So that meant the fight in the cave had still happened.

But what else was different?

I can't help but humm to myself in annoyance as I kick my feet up onto my desk. In a moment I'm leaning back in my seat and staring up at the ceiling of the classroom.

This was an annoying development.

My future knowledge was useless if the past was drastically different from what I knew. I could make educated guesses at best, but planning years in advance had just gone out the proverbial window.

A shadow looms over me.

Sasuke is looking down at me with a testy expression.

"What's up?" I ask, trying to be amicable.

He nods down at me, "are you injured?"

He's talking about my eyes.

I can't help but grin up at him.

"You worried about me, Sasuke-teme"

He glared.

"I don't need a cripple watching my back"

Yeash. That was pretty harsh. Even for him. Before I can mount a return comment, a grouchy voice comes to my defense.

"He ain't no cripple, Sasuke-baka!"

Naruto calls from the door, where he was finishing setting up trap for our tardy Sensei. He looked at me, meaningfully.

"Are ya, Ryo?"

HA!

He wanted to see as well.

"No I am not" I grin, bringing a hand up to the edge of my cloth wrapping, "just can't figure out how to turn these damn things off"

Sasuke's gaze turned quizzical.

"A bloodline?"

I snap my fingers at him, "bingo!"

That guess and the subsequent confirmation gets a more powerful reaction from the blonde, who hurried to the opposite side of my desk.

"YOU GOT A BLOODLINE!?" the blonde roars in excitement, "WAS IT FROM-!"

I'm glad I didn't have to cut him off. Naruto's got enough sense to shut his trap regarding what happened with the Scroll.

I shrug though, knowing the question Naruto wants to ask "can't really say for certain, but my best guess is yes"

The answer flys over Sasuke's head, but the blonde whistles.

"That's so cool!"

The Uchiha fixes me with a glare.

"An Ocular Bloodline? Besides the Uchiha there's only-"

But his accusation is barreled over by a blurted question.

"CAN I SEE IT?"

I laugh at the blonde, facing him directly as I smile, "just for a moment"

His enthusiasm and interest is infectious, so I'm willing to bear the momentary discomfort and let him see my eyes.

Sasuke doesn't repeat whatever he was trying to say.

I guess he was curious enough to swallow his comments and queries.

With a finger I slip down the white cloth, revealing my right eye to the both of them.

Their reactions are memorable.

But my gaze is immediately taken by the figure concealing his Chakra behind the door. Thanks to my new vision, I will forever have the sight of Kakashi Hatake being brought low by a chalkboard eraser in my mind.

Both Sasuke and Naruto spin away from me to look at the open door and the figure that partially stood in it.

I slip my cloth back into place as Kakashi makes his official announcement to us.

"My first impression of you all…"

I grin.

"...is that I don't like you"

I already know what's coming.

"THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR BEING LATE, SENSEI!"

AN: Team Seven, yay.
