For a brief moment the only thing that they could hear was silence and while they could see one another no matter how hard they tried to scream none of them couldn't hear the other.

"And here I thought that I only managed to save one person.' they heard someone say but considering how confused everyone looked it was easy for everyone to know that none of them had said anything.

"I imagine that all of you want an explanation as to why you can't talk." a skeleton that was wearing a black robe and holding a scythe in its hand appeared between them.

"It is a consequence of the merging of worlds."

"To put it simply your worlds are merging, normally things like this wouldn't be a problem as these things are meant to happen."

'Unfortunately, something or someone or perhaps it was both interfered with the merging of worlds and added another world into the mix and now I have to step in."

The skeleton seemed to look at all of them despite standing perfectly still and not moving a muscle and yet they could all feel its non-existent eyes looking at them.

The sounds of wings moving forced them to look up despite their instincts telling them not to move.

"The merging is nearly complete we must send them off before it's too late." the angel that had giant white wings said to the skeleton who didn't move.

They couldn't see the angel's face only the gold glove that covered his hand, and the only reason that they were able to see the angel's hand was because it was holding onto a longsword whose lade was surrounded by gold fire.

"We are breaking the rules and by that, I mean that we are letting all of you keep your memories, but at the same time you will be able to accept that this new world was always the way it is."

"because it was."

'To everyone else, the world has always been this way and while you may be able to remember how your worlds were, those worlds time has passed." a coyote that stood on two legs says to them, as its glowing red eyes stare into their souls.

They are too afraid to even move as the creature digs into its brown raincoat before it throws something hot at them.

The other two beings do the same thing and a cold along with a tingling sensation begins to spread throughout their bodies.

'What we gave you may seem like too much power at first glance but trust us it's barely enough to keep all of you from coming back here" the angel says to them as they start to fall into the white void.

"Don't be afraid to shake the cages of the world and make enemies of the rulers of the world. After all, life is short, so why not raise a little hell while you're living it." the coyote says.

"Do not forget that despite the powers of the beings that you will encounter, you are still Human and are not like them." the skeleton says to them before the world goes black.

"Our last gift to you is making you the villains, heroes, and extras of another person's story." the three versions of death say to them, but they can't hear them anymore.

The world is made out of layers and different kinds of people live in each of them, the thing is no one knows who belongs to what layer because everyone lives their lives as best as they can.

Each layer crosses with the others, but that does not mean that the people or the monsters living in them ever meet, but when they do that's when things get interesting.

Kazuma looked at Jaune before handing him a beer. "So tell me again what happened?" he asked Jaune before he sat down.

"I don't know one moment I was being yelled at by my dad for trying to borrow\steal his sword so that I could try to enter Beacon."

"I remember running out of the house and missing the airship and I was so mad that I went to get a drink, and the next thing I knew I woke up next to a girl that I never met before."

Kazuma couldn't help but laugh, he wasn't laughing at his friend's misfortune after all he knew how badly Jaune wanted to be a Huntsman but, he also knew that Jaune didn't have a lot of training.

What he was laughing about was that Jaune somehow managed to have a one-night stand and from what he just heard, Janune didn't even know the woman's name.

'I want to say that I'm jealous but, I know how much you wanted to go there." he says to Jaune before he twists the cap off his beer and takes a drink.

'So what are you going to do now?" he asks Jaune.

Janue leans back and takes a drink from his beer before frowning at the bitter flavor.

'I need to find a job and maybe find someone to train me." Janue answers him.

"Great because I need help. So how about it?"

"There are three kinds of jobs, those we get paid for, those we don't get paid for, and those that we get paid for but do for free."

" Why because we either have a score to settle or whatever and whoever we are sent after has is\ has something we want." Kazuma says to Jaune who only stares at him.

"Okay but how much am I getting paid?" Jaune asks Kazuma.

"Right, we split everything between the three of us, you, me, and another guy that just joined the team. As for what else the job offers, a roof over your head, hot food when we are home and on-the-job training," Kazuma answers Jaune."

"Sure, why not? I mean it's not like my parent are letting me back in the house after what I did." Jaune answers him.

The sound of Kazuma's cell phone beeping makes Kazum pick it up and look at the message that just arrived and he can't help but laugh at what was written on it.

'Man today is just full of surprises." he says to himself before he pats Jaune on the back and tells him that they need to go home because something happened.
