'Great, Malfoy.' Hermione huffed as she saw Draco and his mother walking towards them.

'Problem darling.' Her dad asked as they walked thru Diagon Alley. Hermione's arm in her father's arm.

'Do you remember me telling you of the kid that use to harass me in school?' he nodded. 'That's him with his purebred mother. He apologized but I don't know if I can totally forgive him for everything he did. And he still tries to get me to out on a date with him.'

'Honey, you don't have to, I remember all that you went through.'

'Granger, I would like you to meet my mother, Narcissa Malfoy.'

'Hey Draco, this is my dad Gary Granger,'

'Nice to meet you, would you join us? We were just going for some tea.'

'Yes, that would be nice.' Narcissa replied, as they found a table in front of the café.

'Ms. Malfoy. By any chance are you related to Nana, I mean Calissa Mafoi of France?' Gary asked. Narcissa sputtered on her tea.

'You know Nana Mafoi? How?'

'She is my many great grandmother.' This time it was time for Draco to choke on his tea.

'You are a pureblood?' Draco sputtered as he tried to get his breath.

'Well technically… I don't know as we recently found out we are from a sqib line of the family. Our Hermione is the first witch in centuries.'

'Then how did you find nana Mafoi?' Narcissa said with a light snarl.

'We were in France, on vacation and we were in a …' Draco interrupted.

'A library.' With a grin on his face. 'She was always in the library.'

'Yes, we had heard they had the best family tree information. We were approached by the librarian asking if by any chance we were related to Hector Dagworth-Granger. And when I said I didn't know she got busy and found that he was a distant uncle and Calissa Mafoi was my many great grandmother. And to our great surprise she was still alive.'

'So, we ended up visiting on our summer vacations.' Hermione added.

'Mr. Granger will your wife be joining us?' Narcissa asked.

'Um, no she was killed during the war. We were staying at one of Nana's vacation houses. I went out to get groceries and the house was attacked. One of my uncles said it was death eaters that did it.' Everybody at the table gasped, but each for different reasons.

'Dad, you never told me.' As tears started to fall.

'I didn't want you to feel responsible.' Hermione knew he was right.

'Did you know about this?' as she turned to Narcissa and Draco?

'Um..' Narcissa paused trying to find her words. Draco blanched.

'I might have heard about attacks in France, I didn't know it was your mother.'

'Well Draco I will tell you that you will never get a date out of me.' she stood to leave.

'Mr. Granger we are so sorry for your loss.' Narcissa said.

'Well, if your family had not been involved it might not have happened. Good day.' He turned to leave. Why don't we walk and you can show me the rest of the alley? And we can stop at the bookstore? She nodded.

'Hermione, how are you doing I haven't seen you in forever.' Theo smiled as he came around the corner.

'Theodore Nott this is my dad, Gary Granger.'

'Dad, Theo and I went to school together.'

'She helped me with my studies many times. But what should I expect from the great niece of Hector Dagworth-Granger.'

'How did you know that?' Hermione gasped.

'Well, I had to do my research. My father would have had my hide if he knew I was getting help from a muggle. So one summer while I was visiting family I went to the…'

'Library.' Hermione giggled.

'Yes and found the information. You are from a squib line, but you still have some very impressive names behind you.' Theo smiled.

'You know my history?'

'Yes, I do, I wanted to be ready for when you were ready to date.'

'Theo, are you free for dinner?' Gary asked.
