You Will Regret Your Actions

'What? So, it's true you're …. with him?' Ron snarled as the Weasley family rounded the corner in Diagon Alley.
'Yes, Ron I'm going to marry Lucius.' Hermione said exasperated.
'But Mi. …'
'Stop calling that you know I hate it.'
'Why? I still love you and I want to marry you.' Ron pleaded.
'Ron, I have told you… we will never be more than friends.'
'But…' Ron whined.
'Ron, he treats me way better than you ever did.'
'What how? Oh, I know all of the money?'
'Actually no, he loves me…, he doesn't eat like a starved pig.' as she mimed his eating habits. 'He didn't go running to his side piece when he is told no, he respects my wishes and he remembered my birthday, unlike you who has forgotten it every year.'
'Oi, it's not like I can afford expensive prezzies.'
'Ron, he didn't buy me an expensive present he took me out to dinner.'
'You know I can afford that.' Ron whined.
'Ron it was fish and chips at blackpool beach, a cheap but fun day. I have never asked or wanted expensive things, I just for you to remember me.'
'I love you and have since first year.' Ron sputtered.
'As if, I remember you saying I was a nightmare…' Ron grimaced. 'Lucius is fine with me continuing my studies and getting a job.'
'Fine you can finish your studies not that I see it being much use.'
'See, at least Lucius wants me to be me. You and I both know I can't stay home and do nothing but raise your spawn, he said it is my choice if I have kids and when I'm ready, not getting up the duff within the year.'
'Yea, after all that he has done to us…go ahead and marry the death eater.' He snarled again.
'Ron, he has apologized to me and Harry for what he has done, he has changed and if you would just listen, he would apologize to you and your family.'
'Yea, right… prolly doesn't really mean… he just wanted in your pants.'
'Mr. Weasley, as much as I would love to get in her pants as you put it Hermione has requested to wait until her wedding night, and I am a gentleman I will follow her wishes. Unlike you who ran to … um Ms. Brown?' Ron's face reddened. 'You are the only family she has. I would love for you to remain in her life.'
'You just bought your way back into everybody's good graces.' Ron spat.
'Ron, Lucius paid his retributions. He helped rebuild Hogwarts.'
'He just wanted his name on the plaque.'
'He paid to have Luna's house rebuilt… and he is paying to have the burrow rebuilt.'
'Why did Luna's get built first? Our house was ruined way before Luna's?' Ron snarled.
'You guys had Grimmauld Place to stay at, Luna didn't.'
'Mr. Weasley if you don't stop now you will regret, no your family will regret your actions.' Lucius snarled.
'How, you've stole my girlfriend what more can you do?'
'Ron… he could halt the money to rebuild your parent's home.' All of the Weasleys behind him gasped.
'He can't, that is ministry money.' snarled Molly who had been standing behind Ron just listening.
'Um, no it is not. I knew Arthur would not take my money, so I set it up to look like it was coming from the ministry. I have been rebuilding homes from my own accounts. The money I paid to the ministry went to pay for all of the medical bills, funerals and to help rebuild Diagon Alley and the ministry. So, if you want to continue to have this little temper tantrum I can halt all monies and leave the burrow?' as he looked over to Hermione, to get a nod. 'In shambles, it would be of no mind to me how your family affords the repairs from here on out. I will send a note to Gringotts to stop…'
'Please don't Lucius, my son is just sore that he could not live up to Hermione's standards. I appreciate all of your help to rebuild our home. I would like to take the time to try to mend the fences between us. As Hermione has said a lot of changes has happened and we all need to work for a better life for all of us.' as Arthur offered his hand to Lucius, who gladly accepted it.
'To the future, and hopefully new friendships.' Lucius spoke as both men smiled at the acceptance.
