A/N: Hello! This is my first story, and I would gladly take any criticism about this story, so that I can improve on my writing.

Edit: I overhauled and improved. At least I think I improved this chapter seeing as it was quite short and awkward for me to read. personally

In a field riddled with craters and chasms, while a hastily built arena was barely hanging on. were two figures in the center of the destroyed landscape. One wreathed in primordial light, yet slowly fading into nothing. Whereas the other, the Terrarian. Wore ruined armor. One that was made from rock that was laced with the ancient draconic power from the corpse of the Dragon of Rebirth, Yharon.

He looked at his surroundings and saw, weapons of all make, ranging from swords, guns, and all the sort. These weapons. Ones designed to kill the Gods, were now strewn across the battlefield, broken and shattered. Yet one was more noticeable due to the Terrarian holding it. A shattered remnant of The Ark of The Cosmos, a blade meant to rend Gods asunder. Fractured and dull.

He looked at the other weapons he had, and they were all but intact. The strongest of his weapons. Ones made of the strongest materials were broken, but fixable given enough time and materials, and the others... They were shattered and were beyond fixing. They had to be remade from scratch. Sighing, the Terrarian focused his gaze back on the Traitor Almighty. Xeroc, the First God.

Originally a monk serving the king of dragons Zeratros. He had taken his Auric soul and consumed it. And ascended as the First God. Granted the king of dragons. And the dragons overall were gravely injured due to the strength that the Moon Lord originally had before being weakened by them and being banished to the moon.

The dragons were supposed to be laid to rest on the dragon aerie so that they might return. But Xeroc renounced their sworn oath and broke the cycle, becoming a traitor without equal. Word of the ascension spread quickly. Many attempted to follow suit, hoping to claim an Auric soul for themselves to ascend as Gods.

But now... The First God was now fading into nothing. Just like the others that met The Terrarian in battle. They died, but the Terrarian didn't feel joy. He instead thought about what would come next. He had done his duties and ended this era. Bringing forth a new one he could not care about. He walked to his weapons and put them in his inventory. One he discovered while learning magic during his earlier days. He sighed as he picked up the last of the weapons.

He was tired.

And one could not blame him. He had started this fight hours ago, and frankly. He was spent.

Sitting down on the ground, he thought about how he wanted to go back to his childish innocence from when he first woke up in Terraria and enjoy the little things that he could not experience until now. The Terrarian thought about it and smiled.

'Maybe get some more friends... Not that the townspeople aren't already.' He thought as he looked towards the already faded corpse of Xeroc.

He picked up his cellphone and tried to teleport home to begin living his days without worrying about the world being destroyed. Keyword was 'tried'. Unbeknownst to him. It seemed the cellphone malfunctioned due to its less than stellar state.

A Small Change in Scenery.

That's all the Terrarian noticed as he stood up in his ruined armor.

In fact, he doesn't even know where he is. He simply appeared in this forest; his map on the cellphone, a map that he painstakingly made didn't even function, all the Terrarian remembered before waking up was him teleporting back home after beating Xeroc. He doesn't even recognize the trees! They looked entirely different compared to the ones he remembers in Terraria.

'Great, just my luck to wake up in yet, ANOTHER unfamiliar place. Man, it's just like that time I found myself in that crimson patch.' The Terrarian thought as he looked around the forest in which he appeared in.

He always wondered how the remnants of the gods could corrupt an entire landscape. He thought towards the Tyrant, Yharim. Well... He wouldn't really call him a Tyrant. It felt more fitting to call him The Jungle Tyrant. It just felt familiar. Anyway, Due to the careless handling of the remnants of the Gods essences. The Crimson and Corruption were created. At first, he didn't know the crimson existed at all when he first explored the world. But due to a teleportation potion he had drank out of curiosity, he had found himself next to a perforator cyst along with a cave leading into the inner bowels of the crimson, to his left.

His mind wandered onto Yharim. Yharim was more human than the Terrarian would've thought. He showed his remorse to him by speaking through whispers after every major foe The Terrarian beat. At first, he couldn't even hear him. Always hurting his entire being due to the power mere whispers exuded onto his mind. It gradually became easier for him to listen to as he progressed through his adventure.

Yharim while speaking of his regret for his actions and tyranny. Yharim had told him that he was supposed to rule as God-King. But... He never did. Rejecting the destiny, he was supposed to have. Originally supposed to consume the Auric Soul of Yharon. He threw that destiny away to become a Godseeker. Hunting the Gods along with the dragon of rebirth and his army.

The Terrarian shook his head. 'Anyway, enough thinking. I should probably figure out where I am, because it certainly isn't in a place, I remember venturing in. Because I would surely remember these trees while I was still exploring heavily, that's for sure.'

He started inspecting the surrounding area, hoping that maybe he would find some sort of clue on where he was 'Maybe it was on the outer edges of Terraria's continent like, what town was it again? Journey's end? I think it was? I forgot...' The Terrarian mentally apologized to the townspeople that lived there.

After a couple more hours of inspecting the forest that surrounded him, he concluded 'I am not close to any town, that's for sure. Though I do wonder where this cellphone sent me to?'

The more he thought about how he ended up here, he got more confused on how the cellphone malfunctioned when it was one of the more how you say? Intact? Yeah, intact items he had after he fought Xeroc, which leads to his question. 'Where on Terraria is this place?'

He shook his head. That was a thought for another time he should find a way out of the forest before night comes

'I don't want to fight hundreds of zombies and demon eyes right now they are way too annoying. And speaking of enemies...' The Terrarian, now noticing a few red eyes hiding in the surroundings, grabbing a plain platinum sword from his inventory. He, of course, decided to attack the red eyes first.

A few seconds later, he slashed the last of the black wolves. As he puts the sword back in his inventory, the corpses disintegrate into smoke, seeing that, he began trudging through the forest again. Not questioning why, after all the zombies and demons exploded into those "gibs." He always wondered how that happened.

After that thought passed, he started walking through the forest again, hoping that nighttime doesn't come too fast and hoped that these monsters don't appear too often, seeing as killing these monsters were going to eat up a lot more time than he'd think.

'Let's see...3PM, alright I got time before night falls, maybe I should find a place to set up camp in so I can fix this cellphone.' The Terrarian worriedly said as he looked at the cracked cellphone. It took him hours to make one, he'll be damned if he has to find the materials for another one.

The Terrarian looked down and remembered about the broken armor he was wearing, seeing this, he inwardly groaned almost accustomed to this sight after every major fight.

'Should check up on my gear before I break them more than they are.'

He decided to take off his armor and put it in his inventory, before immediately switching his outfit to the one he usually wears when he isn't off fighting Gods or monsters. It's not as good at defending him, sure. But it was more comfortable wearing it. And besides he was quite strong.

After a bit of time studying the mushrooms in the forest, he continued his walk to find the exit of the forest, sometimes he stopped to see if any of those monsters were back, considering the silence and the lack of animals in the forest was not one he liked.

He wondered if the animals went into hiding thanks to some predator. Then again, he has been killing some of those wolf looking things a fair number of times while he was walking through the forest so maybe those things drove them away?

A few hours later...

'Is that the exit? Oh, sweet it is the exit! Now it's time for me to find a town!' The Terrarian exited the forest that he spent hours in. And was filled with joy, considering the fact it took him hours to just find an open exit.

He grinned. Simply happy that he could sleep somewhere that wasn't in that forest. He was tired of sleeping in random spots that weren't his home. Though he doesn't really care about it too much, it would just feel better if he had slept in his own home.

But he'd very much rather sleep in a forest than an alleyway. Where he could get very easily robbed of his possessions. Then again, he had his inventory, so he doesn't really see the issue too much.

'Maybe mapping out that forest wasn't the best idea.' Shifting his thoughts into something else the Terrarian, perhaps instinctually. Decided to map out almost the entirety of the forest, conveniently missing the side of the forest which had an opening. He came to discover that the forest he was teleported to was huge.

He thought about it a little more. While he never really liked to leave unknown areas unmarked, it would be bad if he got lost in them again, after all. It seemed to work against him this time. Seeing how it took him more time than he would just going in one direction. But considering the path he had found exiting the forest. He was fine with this outcome

After walking on the path for a bit, he felt his stomach growl. He hoped that the way he was walking led to a town. He also hoped that it wouldn't be in the other direction. The number of times which he got lost thanks to him going the opposite way was astounding.

'Now that I think about it. I should probably find a way to retire. I've done my job, now it's time for others to fix what I and the Gods broke and possibly make Terraria a better place.'

The Terrarian after all the adventure, thought deeply about it. After a couple of minutes of walking and thinking. He thought 'Why not?' And he decided to retire and live a simple life here, finally taking a break from the constant near death experiences on the daily and finally enjoy what he first lost.

A life he could barely remember.

'Yeah, this feels nice. It feels great to not have to beat up monsters in the daily. And considering all the destruction that the Gods and I caused during our fights... This is definitely better for them.' The Terrarian again, mentally apologized to the poor souls who will have to eventually fix those craters.

'Maybe I should've fixed those craters before heading off to fight The Traitor almighty.' The Terrarian sweated at the thought of not being able to at least pay the poor souls. He never liked leaving the damage he caused, to be fixed by other people. It didn't feel quite nice to him, leaving that job to others. He was one of the main causes of those craters after all.

Eventually, he found a small town at the end of the path. He momentarily pumped his fists in the air before quickly setting it back down, embarrassed he did that.

'I should really fix that habit of mine. Where did I even pick it up anyway?' The Terrarian thought as he walked.

He walked to the town slowly, the moon was up, and he knew that he should've started walking a bit faster, just so he didn't start encountering zombies and demon eyes. But he found that he couldn't. Thinking that. If the people, there would recognize him as the Terrarian he couldn't live as a normal person. He never liked being praised after all.

He took a second to look up and think, but he found himself looking at the moon, he didn't seem too phased for some unknown reason, almost as if he recognized the moon from somewhere.

'Well, I guess I shouldn't worry about the town over there recognizing me.' He stared at the moon. Shattered, almost as if it was broken by a fight emerging on it. And the moment he gazed at the moon; did he realize that he wasn't on Terraria anymore.

With a renewed sense of reasoning, and maybe, a slight worry about what happened to this planet's moon. He walked up to the town at a faster pace, he started to wonder if he needed to have an I.D of any kind, and if he did, how would he get one?

'Crap, I didn't think about that. Maybe this town doesn't need it, right? It seems far from any major city, or kingdom.' The Terrarian thought as he reasoned his thought down to a "Maybe I don't need one?"

Now, he was never good with people, so he wondered how he would introduce himself? Maybe a travelling merchant? A Traveller that wanted to find his sister? Or an adventurer, one that wanted to explore the area he was in right now? Maybe some random person from a remote town that he could make up, trying to find a new place to settle? Maybe as an amnesiac?

He shook his head and decided on the last introduction he had fabricated in his mind.

'Well... Here goes nothing.' He had finally reached the town's entrance... Before a dozen wolf-like creatures and a bear emerged from the nearby forest looking like some horror movie creation, catching the guards, along with him. Off guard.

'This is going to be long night, isn't it?' The Terrarian sighed, mentally preparing himself for yet another fight with these black wolves. Though he didn't really need to. Seeing as the guards were already off to fight them.
