Chapter 11
Reunion (pt2)
Ezra looked at him, "Jack, you alright?"
Jack looked back and closed his tired blue eyes, and that told Mary and him all they needed to know.
"You need to rest Jackson," Ezra only said as Jack leaned against him like he used to when he was human,
North watched as Ezra put Ezra put one of his arms around the youngest guardian his brown eyes looked back at Jack in worry, "Lie down and get rest Jackson, or I'll make Mama's magic potion."
Jack gave a small laugh, "You mean warm milk in honey."
"Yeah," Ezra let Jack lean heavy on him knowing how much Jack needed it.
"How's your back?" Jack sat up and looked at him as Mary climbed on the bed.
Ezra shrugged, "I'll be fine."
North left the room not wanting to be the fourth wheel and found Bunny setting in leaving area looking into the fire, "You alight?" Bunny asked North as the man sat down on an old chair.
I was going to ask you the same thing?" North looked at him old friend with concerned eyes.
"I'm a little jealous," Bunny admitted, "I'll never see my family again, and Jack seeing his family again.
"It's double edge sword. Once fire spirit is dealt with his family must return to heavens and loose them all over again,
Bunny closed his green eyes, "Didn't think of it in that way and you didn't answer my question.
"Jack is hiding something and I don't like it."
Ezra, Mary, and Jack sat in one of the leaving rooms in the North Pole. Mary told Jack what happened when she grew up. She married a man named Andrew Conway and she had six children, "You always wanted a big family."
North and Bunny came in while Ezra said that Allison had twin girls and one acted just like her uncle Jack when she got older, "I don't know if that a good thing or not."
"Jaclyn, grew up and became a beautiful woman, and never took lip from anybody that included her husband.
"I remember one time Jaclyn told Howard to keep his mouth shut and listen because she already told her son, no about something and Howard disagreed with her and didn't want to back her up."
Sounds like Howard had his hands full," Jack said with a sad smile, "I'm sorry I wasn't there," tears fell from his pale face.
"Jack don't. We never blamed anybody for what happened to you," Ezra looked sternly at Jack.
"Jack," North interrupted, "We went to know what this Hannah when she did to your family."
North and Bunny felt the temperature drop as three sets of eyes looked at him. Two brown and one blue, "North leave it."
"Jack." North started.
"North, no," Jack got up and tried to leave but was stopped by North.
"North, don't push me. I'm not in the mood to talk about," Jack looked at him as Ezra stood up getting in front of Mary who handed him a blanket her eyes never leaving her brothers.
Bunny could tell that Jack was in foul mood and North was not helping and went and got Mary out of the room as Ezra stayed put knowing how to calm his brother down.
"Jack, we want to help," North said.
"Help," Jack started, "Three hundred years I took care of myself and sometimes I needed help I needed a friend. You only asked me for my help because you of Manny. When I came to you and needed somebody to talk to you and you said you were busy and didn't have time," Jack voice was flat, ""When I was hurt by that spring spirit you had the yetis patched me up," Jack voiced raised and Ezra got closer to his brother, "Tooth and you are always busy and you can't take five minutes to talked to me about my memories," Jack was ready to throw a punch when Ezra gave Jack a bear hug from behind wrapping him in a blanket taking them both down, "Sandy need the silence to work so it won't destroyed all the hard work.
"Jack, calm down," Ezra voice was utterly calm, "He is not the enemy."
"Let me go," Jack struggled against his brother.
"Not a chance," Ezra he said, "Mary get in here:"
Mary rushed in and saw Jack being held by Ezra, "Not again."
Jack was trying not to cry as Mary ran the nearest bathroom and returned with a damp washcloth as Bunny watched, "Ezra, get him back on his knees."
Ezra pulled the spirit to his knees and looked at the pooka Ezra'a eyes told him to get North out of the room.
Bunny pushed North out of the room closing the door and standing in front of the door and heard Jack's heart retching cries, "You know something don't you, Bunny," North looked the Bunny as the pooka heard Jack say Isabella in a sob.
"What every, Jack told me in confidence is between him and me," Bunny looked coolly at the leader of the guardians, "He'll talk when his ready. Remember there was time when you were the same why."
In the room
Jack cried in his brother's arm as Mary put a damp cloth on Jack's neck after wiping his face.
Ezra held Jack cried, "Why Ezra? Why did this happen?"
"I don't know Jackson," Ezra and looked at Mary as the winter spirit cried himself to sleep.
Bunny finally came in after he stirred North down making the Russian mumbling under his breath.
"Why don't I take you to Jack's place?"
"What is North problem?" Ezra demanded wanting to protect his younger brother.
Bunny gently picked Jack up, "Your guess is as good as mine. Come on I'll take you to Jack's place."
