According to the GPS, the final leg of their trip should have taken just over 11 hours to complete. However, with pit stops for gas and food, as well as a few spontaneous athletic endeavors for Harvey's "circulation", their drive pushed into the early hours of the next day as they reached Seattle. Harvey woke Donna gently as they drove across Lake Washington to encourage her to look around.

As she rolled down her window, she felt the damp cool air lap at her face. The dark sky was covered in a hazy sheen as the moisture in the air reflected from nearby streetlights. In the distance, she could make out a light blinking atop what she assumed was the famous space needle and a blurry outline of the downtown high rises; one of which she knew they would call their new office. This new backdrop had the perfect amount of contrast from Manhattan to start "Act II" of her life, their life.

"What do you think, Don?". Donna interlaced her fingers with her husband before looking up at him. "I think we are going to be happy here", she replied. Harvey chuckled. Seattle had a reputation for being a little depressing due to its almost year-round rainy weather, so he found his wife's word choice to be slightly ironic. "Well, I know I'd be happy anywhere as long as I have you by my side", he glanced over at her endearingly before turning back to the road.

The pair pulled into their new neighborhood around 1 a.m. They had bought a beautiful two-story home on 42nd Avenue E within the Broadmoor community. They had originally planned to purchase a home in Madison Park near their friends, but this property perfectly combined both Harvey's and Donna's senses of style. Donna felt giddy, like a child on her way to Disney World for the first time, as they drove down the street. Although they had virtually toured their new house via FaceTime with their real estate agent, this was the first time they were going to see it in person.

Then they saw it, second from the end with the porch light gleaming. Harvey's brow raised and he cocked his head to the side, "That's odd… there's a car in the driveway". Donna swore she heard an edge of mischief in his voice, but she was too excited to pursue the thought further. "Look at it Harvey!", she squealed, "It's perfect!". "Yes it is Don, and so are you, but I'm afraid we might have to spend one final night in a hotel". Donna's head whipped around, "What? Why?". "Our furniture was delivered to a storage facility when we failed to meet the moving truck, so unless you want to sleep on the floor…". Donna whimpered and pushed out her lip into a pitiful pout. "Can we at least take a look inside?". Harvey had to fight to hold back a laugh at the sight of his fiery redhead begging, "Of course".

Hand in hand, they walked up the stone-paved pathway to their front door. Just as Donna went to retrieve the key from the lockbox their realtor had left, Harvey swept her off her feet. "You didn't give me a chance to do this on our wedding night, so I'm making up for it now". "Harvey! We need the-", she laughed but her final word died on her tongue as Harvey pushed open the door and carried her across the threshold. "Welcome home, Mrs. Specter". Harvey kissed her lovingly before placing her feet back on the ground.

Donna cocked her head in confusion at the boyish excitement that shone in her husband's eyes. It wasn't until she followed his gaze in the direction of the living room that she finally took in her surroundings and a soft gasp escaped her mouth. Lily's painting hung above the fireplace and their furniture was perfectly arranged. Harvey lightly turned her head towards the two cuddled fingers asleep on their couch. Mike and Rachel. "I-", Donna was at a loss for words, "How?". "I gave them a call while you were in the restroom after our first pitstop", he explained with a large grin, obviously very proud of himself for pulling this off.

Rachel's eyes flickered open as she heard Harvey speak. She gently shook her husband's shoulder, "Mike, they're here", she whispered. Mike groggily rubbed his eyes before jumping up when he saw the redhead and his mentor by the door. "Dang it, we wanted to be awake to surprise y'all but we must have dozed off". Harvey sarcastically rolled his eyes and went to greet his friend while Rachel ran over to hug Donna.

"Rach, I don't know what to say". The brunette shook her head softly, "You don't need to say anything. We're just happy you both made it safely. How are you holding up?". "Harvey seems to be doing good, all things considered. The doctors said the speed at which he is recovering is nothing short of a miracle". Rachel was grateful that Harvey was doing well, but that wasn't the answer she was looking for. "No honey, I asked how you are doing".

Donna took a few seconds to form a response. Harvey had opened up about what triggered his panic attack, and thus his heart attack, but the knowledge of why hadn't helped quail Donna's fear. Almost losing Harvey had forced her to hold up a mirror to herself and acknowledge how dependent on him she had become. 8 months ago, Donna was an independent single woman and now she couldn't sleep at night without feeling Harvey's warmth, let alone imagine living the rest of her life without him. She was terrified by how consuming her love for him was and haunted by the mere thought of something like this happening again.

She felt her eyes begin to sting as she struggled to maintain her composure. "I'm better now" was the best response she could muster, though she wasn't sure if that was really true. Rachel understood that her friend wasn't quite ready to elaborate, clearly exhausted and still in shock from the last few days. "Well, I'm always here to talk. How about Michelle Ross and Harriet Specter take on the Emerald City after work?". "Perfect", whispered Donna as she embraced her friend again and looked over her shoulder at the boys.

Although Mike was concerned about Harvey, he decided it was best to play into their old banter at the moment. Right now wasn't the time to discuss what had gone on in Wyoming. "Once again Robin pulls through. Maybe we should reevaluate which of us is Batman in this partnership", he jested. Harvey shook his head before resting a hand on the young man's shoulder. "That's okay, we can let the associates decide when I run circles around you at your own firm". Both men laughed and continued talking as their wives strolled over to them.

"Speaking of, old man", Mike glanced over at Donna silently greeting her before continuing, "you think you're gonna make it into the office today? You don't have the best track record with showing up on time, and we both know that you can't afford to be late to the starting gate at your advanced age". Harvey shot Mike a sarcastic glare before turning to grin at his wife, "Well, I have a morning meeting to attend that just might reverse father time". Donna's cheeks blushed, Rachel gasped lightly, and Mike grimaced. "I think that's our cue to head out", Rachel spoke while stifling a laugh. She gave Harvey a quick kiss on the cheek before shooting Donna the look and guiding her husband out the door.

Harvey waited until he heard their car pull out of the driveway before he pounced on his wife. He threw her over his shoulder and laid her down on the couch. Swiftly he began to trail kisses from her jaw to her collarbone as his hands traced her curves. Donna writhed beneath his caresses, arousal growing into an insatiable hunger for his touch, encouraging Harvey to intensify his ministrations. A soft giggle turned into a moan as Harvey's mouth found its way to her inner thigh. His eyes, nearly black with desire, found hers as he slid off her shorts and panties to kiss her lips.

Donna groaned with pleasure and reached up behind her head to grab the arm of the couch for support while he suckled her swollen nub and expertly explored her slit with his fingers. She knocked throw pillows to the ground as her body rushed to its climax. Harvey slipped under her shirt and slid it up until it sat around her wrists, restraining her hands. He slowly crawled back up her body, lightly kissing and nibbling her supple skin until he reached her lace bralette. Before Harvey got a chance to reveal her breasts, Donna untangled her hands from her shirt and pulled his face up to meet hers. Between kisses, she composed herself to speak. "What happened to our morning meeting?", she panted out. "Technically it is morning, and the kid was right, an early start never hurts". Harvey softly nibbled on Donna's ear before whispering, "Especially at our age".

Donna rolled over and they tumbled onto the floor with her on top. Harvey winced slightly and furrowed his brow. "Maybe at your age Mr. Specter, but I am a proud member of the 30's club". "I hate to break it to you Don, but seeing as it is well after midnight, you are now a freshly minted member of the 40's club. Happy birthday".

Donna's eyes grew as large as saucers. There was no way. Had she forgotten the date with everything going on? Was she really 40? Harvey had resumed trailing wet kisses down her neck and snapped her back into reality. Now wasn't the time to think about her age, but rather to enjoy how vibrant and virile she felt as Harvey's erection grew beneath her. "Take me to bed, Harvey", her voice resembled a primal growl. He complied enthusiastically and they made fervent love in their new bedroom for the first time; symbolizing the start of a new decade for Donna.
