This is me:
Writing at a reasonable time; maybe.
Writing in the middle of the night; yes.
Jetstorm and Jetfire were about to go to the sparring field when they heard something hit metal a bit too loud for it to have been an accident. They went over and saw three people; two minicons and a human, talking about 'crushes'.
It was when the orange-and-red minicon suggested that they go and explore the scrapyard that the two decided to make their presence known.
"And who may you three be?" Jetstorm asked, his weapon drawn.
It was almost comical at how they reacted, the pair of minicons had to force themselves to not laugh and maintain a serious expression on their faces. When the other two minicons realized who they were, they seemed to be excited and curious.
"Woah, who are ya'll?" The orange-and-red minicon said.
"Are you real?" The blue-and-purple one asked, poking Jetstorm.
"Hey, why am I shorter than you?"
"Oh yeah, I'm short too... why am I shorter than everyone?!" The orange-and-red minicon pouted
...
I'm sorely tempted to tell them off, but I've never seen them look so happy before. Soya thought, deciding to sneak away while all four minicons were distracted.
Soya walked around the scrapyard, sticking to the edges of the paths cut out from the large shelves. She thought she had explored enough, and decided to go back to make sure that her minicons weren't destroying eachother or the other pair of minicons. Soya tried going back the way she came, but soon realized that she was lost.
"God darn it!" She cried in frustration at the same oven she'd seen for the fifth time. When Soya finally regained her composure, she tried again.
"-Soyanami." She heard to her right. Climbing thru the clutter on a shelf as silently as she could manage, she saw the same samurai robot she'd called cute. Soya was about to speak but she saw something in the robots' hand and went over to see what it was.
It was a confusing thing, like it projected something similar- no, wait, it was a hologram. Soya saw a robot on the hologram who seemed thiner and sleeker than the robot she was standing beside. The female of his species? Soya thought.
She tried getting a better look but accidentally stumbled and fell, alerting the samurai cybertronian to her right.
