Familiar Faces and Headaches

5 minutes of convincing later.

"So, basically, I am the man you're looking for... Right?" Michael was about to keel over and sleep. So, all he did in trying to convince Storm Weaver was to push that he was amnesiac. It was all he could think of after all.

He looked at the two guards along with the captain. They don't seem to be nearly as convinced as Storm Weaver. Then again... He is not the best at wordsmithing things when he's tired. But at least he isn't being shocked to chars by Storm Weavers lightning.

"Correct. If you are an amnesiac. You would trust me a lot more, seeing as most people with amnesia would like to remember who they were before it and are desperate to remember." Ellie Stormwell. The supposed Storm Weaver brought up another valid point. He was running out of counterpoints. He was halfway into just duking out. But he thought of the possible deaths of the townsfolk, in this town he had not yet heard the name of.

"Yes... I would... If it weren't for you pointing a bow at me the moment you saw me." By now Storm Weaver was sitting at our table while the rest of the people who didn't leave when she went into the restaurant were listening to our conversation intently.

"It is a regular reaction if I wanted to live."

"What do you mean by "You Wanted to live." I don't get it?!" He gets it very well. And he knows why. He will not deny it. He was the one to kill her during her quote on quote "Previous life" How did that serpent end up here? He has no idea how. He's just a "simple" mortal.

"It seems you do have no idea on who you were." She still spoke in the most emotionless voice he had ever heard of. The former hero inspected her current attire and weaponry. A short stature. With looks young enough to convince him she was around 18-20 years of age in human years, along with cyan colored hair with a tail poking out of her armor that looks suspiciously like one of those winter coats people usually wear. With... The face of the Storm Weaver he fought displayed on her winter hat. Specifically in front of the hat.

'It isn't even snowing so why does she even wear it?! And how does she have her own face?!' Michael thought as he looked at her. He moves onto her face. Not even showing a sense of emotion. As he thought of why she is so emotionless he moves onto the bow that. If he remembers correctly is still in his void bag. But he's not too sure about it.

"To think the fabled Terrarian fell during battle." She slightly smirked as her eyes were directed at him. It was the first sign of emotion he'd seen her make. He didn't die. He knew of it. Along with it making no sense, considering the cellphone malfunctioned and sent him here. And the fact he was still standing, albeit. With enough fatigue to knock out several Eyes of Cthulhu's.

'How exactly does dying send people here?' The former hero was about to go into deep thought before he decided to speak.

"No idea what that is." He lied as naturally as he fought. As Storm Weaver was about to speak once more it seemed that. TAG, Lilac and well... Everyone in the restaurant shouted out in surprise really.

"He's one of those so called Terrarian's?!" As they shouted out. The people in the restaurant started whispering things such as. "Really?" "Maybe they're mistaken." "That's impossible." The People left in the restaurant starting to get rowdy after hearing them say that. And Storm Weaver looked surprised. But due to the noise he assumed that she was about to stop it by... probably shocking everyone with her thunder. But before that, someone slammed their hands on the table, silencing everyone. It was the captain. Turning her head to look at Michael. Speaking of Michael. He was thinking.

'Wait... What?! There were more Terrarian's? Since when? Did I get sent to the future?' His fatigue was not helping him either, so he just decided to end this question there and think about it another time. Anyway, the two guards looked towards Ellie and asked her another question. The captain was also about to ask him a question. Though she looked ready to bring out her weapon.

Their imminent questioning of who he was. Was abruptly stopped. As another figure wearing a dark purple cloak, with eyes glowing purple as the hood covered their face. A person with several daggers strapped along their belt, along with a suspiciously familiar lantern strapped on his back, entered the restaurant.

'Dear Terraria. Can I just get a break?' The former hero sighed as he looked at the person. He judged by the attire this person had. That it was clearly Signus, going from Storm Weaver over there. And he also assumes that these are the two people who entered the town in the same month he had. The ones that the three guards spoke about. And he knows why they were called eccentric now that he knows who they are. But seeing as these two were supposed to be dead.

He wondered if the other foes he killed were here too. His thoughts wandered to the more destructive enemies specifically seeing as they were the type to cause unhindered chaos on the planet. His mind then wandered to the corrupted biomes. And he hoped that they didn't get brought here.

"I heard that a certain someone was here causing a ruckus." As the former hero was thinking. Signus spoke. In a much more audible language than the time he fought him. All he could hear during the fight with him was usually gargles. Maybe he was part squid. Michael inwardly chuckled at his joke.

But while the former hero was making jokes it seemed the Signus was looking directly at him. Scratch that he WAS looking directly at him. Michael went to ask him about who Signus was in this town. But he didn't really need to, seeing as he already knew who he was. Rather than Thunder girl over there.

"Who?" And how do they know what he looks like? Right... His armor usually gets destroyed every time he fights something. And by extension his face was shown. Now it makes sense. His mind switched to situation. 'Now all I have to do Is to play safe and make sure I don't get outed for lying'. But it never is that easy so. He expects something he might not have thought of. Who knows. Maybe he would be dragged to jail.

Michael is now being escorted to Signus and Storm Weavers' place. For quote on quote "Security Reasons." He doesn't quite see how this is for security. Then again. Those people looked terrified of them. Heck, even the trio of guards were scared of them. And he doesn't really want to remember the conversation that he had before this.

Though the reason why the trio didn't really try to retort was probably because they could destroy the town if they wanted to. 'More surprised they didn't' the former hero thought as he looked in front of him. Signus and Storm Weaver were in front, while the trio of guards were behind him. He sighed, thinking of how it all went wrong.

It started with the fight with Xeroc. Then him being teleported to that forest. Only to find a town, just for it to get immediately attacked by the Grimm. Then the confrontation at the restaurant. Only to THEN get asked by the envoys that they should escort him to their place. To supposedly make sure that he wasn't him. The trio also decided to join in. Probably to make sure he was one of the supposed 'Terrarian's' here. Right... He wasn't the only one apparently. That's a thought of another time.

"So why exactly your place again?" The former hero was getting impatient.

"Because it is simpler for us to keep you in check." Signus said while keeping a very close eye on him. By eye, he means several cosmic lanterns that surround him. Though. It seems that these ones were a lot weaker than the ones he encountered during their fight.

Did killing them reduce their power to that of a regular mortal? Certainly not. But it did seem to weaken them a lot. At least. To the point where anything after Moon Lord was unnecessary. It weakened them to a quarter of their former selves. Michael shook his head.

"And what stops you from killing me in my sleep exactly? I still don't trust you guys." He doesn't trust them at all. After all, what would stop them from killing him? A moral code? And Signus was a bounty hunter. Maybe a mercenary here. Storm Weaver was simply there for the road.

"We still do not trust you. But we won't kill you in your sleep. We have grown past that." This time it was Storm Weaver that spoke to him. Still emotionless. His mind shifted to her words. 'So, they changed from their old ways huh?' It surprised him. He shouldn't trust these words. He knows that. But he can't help but believe them.

"Okay? I'll take your word for it." He decided to just take their word for it. And finally get rest. In what way? He doesn't quite know. Couch or floor. He decided on the couch, if they let him take it that is. It reminds him of That time he hadn't made a house for some of his townsfolk. Boy the number of times he had to sleep on that couch.

Look at him. Reliving old memories like an old man. He's only 24! As he finally finished reminiscing, they arrived at Signus and Storm Weaver's house. It looked a bit terrible. Never mind. It was horrible. The house looked like it would collapse, and it seemed that they didn't care about the structural integrity seeing as they entered the house. He had made better houses than this at the beginning of his awakening in Terraria. And they were box houses!

"This is where they live?" Michael asked to the trio as he looked at the "house" they own.

"Better than what you could afford considering your mysterious background." The captain retorted as she was noticeably looking at his pockets, seeing absolutely nothing in them. Did he look as poor as him after reforging his equipment in the first few years of his adventure? No. Heck, at one point he decided to try and learn how to reforge equipment himself. Not nearly as efficient nor quick as the goblin tinkerer, but it works.

The group entered the house. And as they did it surprised the former hero, seeing as it was much, much cleaner inside it than the outside. But if you notice the pillar to the left of the hallway. It seems they forgot to reinforce some points of the house.

'So that's where they put their money into." Michael thought as he looked around at quite the extravagant interior décor. Along with a couch that they had next to their very functioning TV, seeing as it was playing the News channel. Though it got immediately switched to something else by Storm Weaver. To what. He doesn't quite know.

'Makes sense that she doesn't watch the news.' The former hero thought as he looked around. Trying to analyze the probability of the house caving in on them. He had to make houses for 6 years with no help after all.

I looked at Michael wondering who exactly he was before his amnesia, considering that both of the Envoys were put on guard by just the sight of him. Envoys of who? No clue. Since they didn't say anything about who they were envoys of. But considering their strength. I'm afraid of who they are.

'But... They said something about Michael being a Terrarian. Right?'

Terrarian's. People, which had the strength to destroy entire Grimm hordes like they were annoying flies. They started appearing pretty recently. And nobody knows exactly where they come from. But some of these so called Terrarian's were mostly missing people. They claimed about them dying before finishing their mission in Terraria. What Terraria is? Nobody is quite sure. They don't really explain much about it.

While most of these Terrarian's were missing people from Remnant, some were from what they called Earth. One of the more notable ones was a Terrarian titled Starbearer. She is usually accompanied by a blue and purple haired girl. I don't really recall what their names are since they went off the radar. Since the news channel couldn't get a hold of anything they're doing most of the time. But they're usually wearing some eye catchy clothing. I think it was a cloak? Al long with the fact that it was made from some material I don't know of.

Anyway. I should ask Lili about her thoughts about him. He seems a lot more relaxed compared to regular Terrarian's. Then again, he does have amnesia, and we don't even know if it is THE Terrarian that Signus and Ellie were talking about. All we know about him is that he looks like the Terrarian that they lost to. From before they got to town.

'Still, for those two to lose to that pale looking guy. It doesn't quite make sense for me.' I thought as I looked towards Michael. He seemed to be looking at Ellie's couch very intently. Was he thinking about the contrast from the outside of the house compared to the inside?

If so, it makes a lot of sense. Considering these two haven't even bothered trying to repair the house fully. This house was quite old. Older than most of our townsfolk. Heck, most of our architects weren't sure how it hasn't fallen yet. Then again we only have one architect. As I was thinking. Scarlett. Our captain called me and Lili over. Probably to discuss about Michael.

As I was walking to Scarlett along with Lili. I looked back for a couple seconds. Seeing Michael talking to Ellie while pointing at the couch. Was he trying to ask Ellie to let him sleep on her couch? No clue. As we reached to captain. She pulled us closer to her. We almost shouted out in surprise before she slapped both of our mouths and started whispering.

"Listen. We have to keep an eye on that guy. You hear me!" She whispered to us before pointing towards Michael. Both of us looked over to him. Only to see him talking to Signus this time, instead of Ellie. Still pointing towards the couch. This time seeming a bit more relaxed in asking. It seemed Ellie allowed him to sleep there.

"Got it cap-" Before both of us could say it fully. Our mouths were once again shut by Scarlett's hands. And she looked at us disapprovingly too. Almost as if, our whispers were that loud that it could be heard from across the room.

"Got it cap-" Their mouths were shut by that captain. But it seems that this time. The former hero didn't quite catch it. Seeing as he was busy talking to Signus about sleeping arrangements. Storm Weaver disallowed him to sleep in any of the gust rooms that they had. So he asked if he could sleep on the couch.

She agreed.

But this time he is asking Signus about the sleeping arrangements. And it seems. That he has also hs been disallowed to sleep in any guest rooms. He sighed internally, as he looked towards the couch.

'Well... Better than the floor." He was secretly hoping that he was allowed to sleep in one of their guest rooms. He didn't really want to sleep on a couch right now. As he looked towards the couch, he remembered that he had asked Signus where the bathroom was. Said it was down the hallway.

Feeling the call. He walked to the bathroom to get inside... Only to then discover that it was locked. He knocked on the door. Nobody answered him. Assuming that it was accidentally locked. Michael looked around the area to find if anybody could see him. And after looking around for a bit. He found that nobody could see him.

So he pulled out his cellphone to check the time. 8PM was the time that it displayed. Though he can't see the time quite clearly considering the multitude of cracks on his cellphone. He sighed and knocked on the door once again. This time getting an answer. From Storm Weaver.

"Who is it." She answered with no emotion once again. But this time the former hero couldn't tell if she was asking a question or anything else really. So he just decided to answer it. As he answers her maybe question. he hears a crash on the other side of the door. Did she preemptively pull out her bow again? He sighed as he waited for a minute before the door opened and Storm Weaver walked out. And as she did so He walked inside of the bathroom to relieve himself.

After that he decided to just walk to his now place of sleep. The couch. Better than the wood floor at least. As he laid down on the couch to prepare his long slumber. Remembering the exhausting fight with Xeroc. He could very much be assassinated by the envoys. But really. If he wanted a break. That was another option he might take.

Though he might not enjoy life like he wanted to. So that's a negative. And as he was about to sleep he noticed the trio look at him. The captain specifically. As they look at him with pity. Considering Signus And Storm Weaver allowed them to sleep in the guest rooms. While he was stuck on the couch.

He decided to just sleep now. He really needed the rest. And he has plans to find a way to fix his equipment tomorrow anyway. He doesn't like having broken equipment. It sucks.

As the former hero drifted off to sleep just like he wanted to something else was happening.

I looked at the map. Guiding us to Azure Springs. A remote town. Relatively far north of Vale. I was told by Asphodene and Eridani said that they both found something interesting in that town. And it definitely is something interesting considering that both of them only felt an immense pressure form the forest there only for it to disappear immediately.

'In fact. I even felt that pressure before it went away. I'm pretty sure every Terrarian felt that pressure.'

I shook my head and looked back at the map. It seems i would get there by daytime if i didn't use my Terraspark boots. Unluckily. People would find out I'm a Terrarian if i did use it. So I'm forced on the slower path. I look at my current attire. Both jacket and pants have a darker shade of blue, while my shirt was gray. The color was similar to my usual armor so it felt familiar. My katana was firmly strapped to my belt and the rest of my equipment is in my inventory waiting to be used.

I still remember first waking up in Terraria. All I had was my copper tools and the Spatial Disk I had gotten. I still remember those early days. Asphodene and I had no idea on what to do in Terraria. She was good company though. Sometimes better than the guide. She and I didn't know much about Terraria after all.

I sigh as I get ready to set up camp. Hoping that this Terrarian was not a villain.

A/N: Once again. I don't think this chapter was too well made. I think it's better than the last one though. So that's a plus. The main reason why i don't like it that much is because i think i added too much exposition. And i think i'm making this a lot bigger than what i naturally thought of seeing the multiple Terrarian's. But i'll try to make it work... Though the next chapter might be after an omake of Michaels regular snow day in town he made.

Also for reference on what Storm Weaver looks like. u/IronheidCross is where i got the design from.
