Her sleeves fell out in gentle oblong curves right at her wrists and out to her hands. And creating a v right before her chest, roses were embroidered into her dress, red like the love Hisame feels for her. And around her waist, a belt of roses, and down past it, her dress filled up with ruffles of fabric all closely bond together, forming v after v after v.
"You're gorgeous." And Hisame means it too, as Kiki stands before him.
"It's too much fabric." She shrugs, and the dress seems to move with her, like it could breathe as well. And when she turns around as if to further her complaint at its extravagance, Hisame sees the bunches at the back, the way they fall like giant 'u's, the way the fabric piles up as to excess.
And he finds that her v of roses at her chest in the back becomes a y, and her belt of roses is almost lost to all the ruffles.
"It's a beautiful use of too much fabric though." Hisame shrugs as he points it out to her, and Kiki shakes her head at him. Her hair has been pulled back into an elaborate braided bun, and Hisame is looking at someone far more beautiful than he should be able to impress.
"Still too much fabric. But what can you do?" And though she grumbles a little at that, she offers an arm, and they step forward to begin the walk to the ball together. A special privilege reserved to them as an engaged couple.
