Haven Grimes née Potter was thrown into a new world after the final battle of Hogwarts without her magic. She was heartbroken not being able to return home. Only 18 she found herself facing the Muggle world with a decent amount of money and her godson in her arms.
A few years later, she fell in love with a small town deputy Rick Grimes who was a single father. She never told him about her life as there was no reason to as she and her son didn't have magic.
Finally, being the happiest she's ever been a mother of three. Her world comes crashing down when her husband is injured in the line of duty, and shortly after that the dead begins to walk and her magic is returned to her with even more knowledge than she had previously and a few gifts from death!!!
3rd Person (P.O.V)
Haven Grimes née Potter sat in the living room of her home as she saw her happy life, slipping away even more with what the news was reporting on TV. It had been a tense few weeks as her husband had been shot in the line of duty.
She sat there as the reporters try to downplay people dying of a fever and coming back to life. Haven knew better as more then a decade ago. She had been a witch ending a war from a dark Lord before she was shoved into a new world with her son Teddy.
The day she arrived all she had was a regular backpack with important documents and decent amount of money to provide for herself and Teddy. She knew immediately something was wrong as she hadn't had her wand on her and after searching within herself she couldn't feel her magic core. During her first year she tried calling out to Mort the entity of death multiple times a day but lost hope overtime.
Over the following year after coming to terms she would never return to her old world. She settled down in a small town in Georgia called Kings County. After settling down, she began working to distract herself from what she had lost and tried to build a future.
It was only after her second year of her arrival where she met Rick Grimes, who happened to be a deputy of Kings County and a single father of a little boy named Carl. His wife have left shortly after their son was two and Rick tried to juggle life.
Haven and Rick found comfort in each other after meeting at the local coffee shop she had worked. It was six months after they met each other they started dating and were married the following year. It was four years after her arrival that she got pregnant with their daughter Luna.
"Hello mistress". A chilling voice said causing Haven to startle to see Mort sitting in a chair next to her.
It's took Haven a minute to gather her thoughts together as she had a strong urge to strangle the entity. "Why are you here Mort?? It's been over a decade since you dropped me into this world without any type of explanation". Haven said glaring at him angrily.
Mort sighed he knew his mistress was not pleased with him but he couldn't go against law even for her. His sister had took it upon herself to drop Haven into her new world. He thought she would live out and happiness and because he didn't feel a connection to her as she was left without her magic he wasn't allowed to interfere in her life.
Until now that he was informed the world she resided was going to be written off to be destroyed. He wished he would have been able to tell her in advance but was told not to until it all started.
"It wasn't my choice Haven you know how my sister can be. I came as soon as I could, this is just the beginning of the apocalypse. I refuse to let you die and I'll do all I can to help you survive". Mort said as he snapped his fingers cause all of the occupants in the house to gasp holding their chest.
"A little warning would be nice next time". Haven said raspy as she held her chest feeling the magic course through her body.
"Mom". Teddy Grimes yelled out completely freaked out as he had been in his room playing a video game when he felt something snap within his chest and blue hair full into his eyes.
"What have you done Mort?". Haven asked frantically as she jumped to her feet and running out of the living room. She was mad with her son's hair changing multiple colors.
"What's going on mom?". Teddy asked frantically unable to control his hair changing colors. Haven had never kept her past from him and he had known about the magical world growing up. He knew that his birth mother had been a Metamorphmagus.
Haven sighed about to open her mouth when she was startled by glass shattering. She quickly ran into her daughter's room that was across from Teddy to find Luna eyes widen in front of her window.
"I didn't do it mommy. I don't know what happened". Luna said her emerald green eyes filled with tears. She was a perfect blend of her parents having inherited Rick dark brown hair.
"Mom". Carl yelling caused Haven to push the bridge of her nose. She sighed as she saw her son's bedroom door being thrown open, all three of her children looking at her from their room entrance.
"Mort what have you done?". Haven yelled as she marched back into the living room all three of her children following behind her.
"I gave them their better chance at survival. Even though Carl Grimes isn't biologically your son as my mistress, he falls under my protection and I was able to give him magical core like the rest of your children". Mort answered nonchalantly as he snapped his finger once again causing four wands to appear on the table.
"I have my magic back". Teddy whispered as his mom had once told him when he was born, he showed signs of magic at his hair had turned blue but when they arrived in their world he was just a normal baby.
Haven sighed as she grabbed a wand that called out to her. It was a beautiful color that reminded her of a ravenclaw house color.
"9 3/4 made of elder wood with a Stardust core great for battle magic as well as healing and warding". Mort said as Haven felt her magic singing for the first time in over a decade. Blue Sparks emerge from her beautiful wand.
"Go ahead Teddy pick the one that calls out to you". Haven said in a tearful voice.
Teddy was hesitant as from the stories his mom had told him, he never thought he would get the opportunity to get his first wand. He grew up seeing her sad sometimes as he remember sometimes telling her he felt as something was missing now he felt complete.
Teddy looked at all three ones that remained and felt a strong pull to one that was solid black intertwine with green at the hilt. He picked it up sparks flying causing Carl and Luna's eyes to wide and sparkling with excitement.
"10 1/4 made of walnut infused with basilisk scales. It's great for defense against the dark arts and runes". Mort said Teddy eyes filled with tears as he looked at his mother as emerald sparks emerge from his wand.
"It's your turn Carl". Haven said as her voice cracked. She had made a bedtime stories of her life to her youngest two even if Carl was only a year younger than Teddy.
Carl wasn't hesitated as he vibrated with excitement. He remembered his mom telling him stories of dragons and unicorns, good wizards and witches wishing he had magic. He still didn't understand what was going on but he felt something snapping his chest earlier.
Now seeing the stranger sitting in his living room, had done magic out of nowhere, his mom and brother held magical wands. He reached for one he had been eyeing since it appeared. It was beautiful and calling out to him. He saw purple sparks flying out from the tip.
"9 3/4 made of Hawthorne with a hippogriff feather for a core. Great for charms and healing". Mort said as he smirking seeing the excitement in his mistresses youngest son.
Haven smiled at her daughter Luna was nearly 6, so she gently grabbed her by the shoulder and guided her to the last remaining wand. "Go ahead sweetheart". Haven whispered to a nervous Luna who small hands shook as she reached for the last wand.
"Little Luna wand is 10 3/4 made of walnut with unicorn heartstring. The amethyst stone at the hilt will amplify her magic which is great for charms and enchanting". Mort said smiling at the small girl released lavender sparks from her wand. Haven saw Mort sighed as he got his feet, looking at her sadly. "I'm sorry for dropping this on your plate right now without explaining but I'm being called away. What I can tell you right now is you better start training your children with their magic, there isn't much time before things get worse. In this bag is everything you will need for this new world and a letter a wrote explaining what's going on". Mort said as he give her the old pouch Hagrid had given her a lifetime ago.
"Mort you can't leave we're not done talking". Haven said that she narrowed her eyes.
"I'm sorry Haven but I don't have a choice". Mort said resignedly as he felt himself being pulled away from the mortal realm.
Haven hissed in frustration as the pouch was dropped into her hand, and more no longer standing where he had been. She punched the bridge of her nose as she felt the oncoming headache what was just dropped at her feet.
"Mom". Teddy said as his mom side, looking at all three of her children who held their wands in their hand.
Haven knew it was going to be a long day as she would have to go through with whatever was inside the pouch and start practicing magic herself as it had been over a decade since she had performed any. Now that the world would be going to shit pretty soon she also had to train three magical children and gather supplies for themselves.
Her thoughts came to a halt as hope bloomed in her chest at the thought of a potion being in her pouch. She immediately dug into the pouch not knowing what was inside besides the letter which was the first thing she pulled out.
Haven was startled when she heard a loud pop, she immediately pulled her children behind her and raising her wand only for her eyes to widen as a pair of tennis ball green eyes look directly at her.
"Dobby?". Haven whispered eyes widening.
"It be good to see Missy Haven again". Dobby said smiling bouncing on his heels looking at his mistress.
Haven sighed as she collapsed onto the sofa, looking at her old friend as her children had their eyes widen. All she wanted to do was sleep as she was already exhausted and the day hadn't even begun yet.
