-Author's Note-
Most of the story will have multiple plots, and characters will change as the story progresses. This means that many Canon characters will be experiencing different changes from the chronological timeline of the main series, and there will be many other OCs that will be introduced later on. Other than that, enjoy!
In America...
There is no doubt that the world has relied on two things throughout most of the previous generations, leading to the present. These are known as quirks, the amazing power that manifests within most of the population, and heroes, the ones that people base their lives around and count on to save them and ensure that their peaceful lives are unchanged.
For one person, it was their dream to become such a hero. But supposedly, even when you fill your head with dreams to their full potential, the title of hero is just meant for a select few. This cuts to the present day in Los Angeles, as there was a mansion within the outer range of the city, and it was caught in a massive flame after an explosion. Two people had rushed out from the front, along with multiple others running from behind.
"Sir! We've managed to evacuate most of the staff, but some were caught amid the impact." One of the men said this to the other. "What about my son?"
"One of the staff managed to get them out, but they got hurt! They're being rushed to the hospital now."The father had been angered by the news that his son was injured and had hoped that it wouldn't be too severe. He had already figured out who was behind the start of that explosion to begin with, and he immediately charted a course for his kid. "Alright, send me the location of the hospital and get everyone as far away as possible and to safety! I have a feeling that I know who's up to this."The man ordered before he rushed off to go after his son, and the other man had done his best to gather the rest of the staff to get out of there.
Underneath the surface...
Deep under the city of Los Angeles, there was a dark and dim laboratory that was filled with all types of things that most labs would consist of. There were giant tubes of people that either had missing limbs, damaged skin, or flesh, all while being replaced with mechanical parts. There can even be endoskeletons hanging from the ceiling with a few parts missing from both the abdomen and arms, some even with missing legs.
In the center of it all was a big monitor with several first-person POV screens that were live footage from the cameras that were being broadcast by stealth-activated drones. These drones seemed to have been monitoring the actions of the mansion that was recently blown up and leaving a massive flame to roar away as it would disintegrate everything that came with it.
A scientist had sat before the monitor as he watched the spectacles take place while on the phone with someone on the other end of the line. "Well sir, It seems that your target is on the move and will soon be reuniting with his boy. If my hypothesis is correct, he and the son are going to be going somewhere away from the United States, and now they know that you'll be coming for them very soon." The scientist had informed the man on the phone.
The man was sitting in a dark, empty room where he was in a reclining chair before he stood up and looked at a picture that had the picture of the one that he's going to be coming for. He gives off a menacing grin and stabs the picture with a steak knife.
"Perfect."
1 year later
In Japan, Hosu City, Two people were walking out of a local restaurant after having a quick meal, but one of them wasn't too pleased. "Man, even after years of living here, this food stinks in this country. Most of the food tastes like saggy pancakes and meat made from Styrofoam." Maggie complained.
"It wasn't that bad, Mags. It was nice of them to give us a free meal when I was choking," Thomas told her. "Yeah, but that's besides the point. We've been trying to find some good food, yet everything feels like it's all bland and boring to me." Maggie griped. "We could still try going to the store, and I can try to cook for the both of us again," Thomas had suggested. "Thanks, but nah, I guess maybe we'll do something else instead."
"Like what?" Thomas asked. "I dunno. But I want to try and do something different. These days feel just about the same. First, we steal from bad guys; we steal even more from sketchy douches; and then we spend the stolen money on whatever we want or need." Maggie said, sounding a bit upset, according to the slight shift in her tone. "Seriously, I'm getting sick of having to feed off some thugs just to make a living around this damn place. I'm exhausted."
"Well, it's not like we have much of a choice. We didn't have any parents to help take care of us since neither of us knew where they were. Besides, what else can we do since we can't find any employment?" Thomas questioned her, leaving Maggie to think. She had recalled back to when they went to a middle school as they grew up in Japan and had remembered that by the end of their school year being a few months ago, she remembered how so many people in their class had chosen to go on the path to be heroes. This ended up with the idea that she believed might help them break out of the boring routine.
"You know, I remembered how a lot of those losers in our class were wanting to be heroes so badly. Why don't we try and apply to one of those schools?" Maggie suggested. Thomas was left to be a bit thrown back and confused about why she would want to do something like this. "What? Why would you want to waste time being a hero? I mean, they might save our lives, but those hero guys aren't that cool. Besides, we hardly take on any responsibilities besides making an honest living in the best way we can. What would we know about being heroes?" Thomas rebuttals.
"I don't know. But I'm seriously bored, and I want something new to do. Plus, we can literally show that they're THAT bored, lol, and where is that you asked? None other than UA!" Maggie had chosen UA, leaving Thomas shocked at her choice. "UA! Maggie, that's one of the most difficult schools to get into! There's not a chance we could ever be accepted there."
"Exactly, my point! We aren't going to take the exam seriously! I mean, we could go to the exam, record everything that we do, and pull some pranks on the other people that are at the exam." Maggie then brings Thomas close to her before whispering in his ear about her plan.
"Here's the deal. We go to apply for the entrance exam, and whatever it is that they do, we try to not take anything seriously, but we pull a couple of pranks while we do it. I mean, we're pretty good at not getting caught, so we could pull some pranks on a couple of the others who are trying to join and record all the action! If we get rejected, we can make a fake account and post on the Internet, and we'll get so many people's attention and work out of there."
"But what happens if we somehow get accepted?" Thomas asked.
"Even better! You and I get to be in the same class, and our best friends also got in! I mean, we're plenty powerful and invincible when we're together. Think about it. If we actually become heroes, we can easily rub it in the people's faces that we are somebody after the years that they treated us like nobodies."
"That kind of sounds like karma and revenge."
"That's exactly the point! The only difference is that we'll be the ones to deliver it to them," Maggie said, giving a devious smile. "OOOOOOOOOOH...okay!" Thomas happily agreed.
Back in America...
The two men have managed to come out of the hospital as one of their kids has been able to be released. They didn't suffer any serious injuries, but they did result in a broken leg. "Are you alright, Danny?" The father asked his kid.
"Yeah, dad, I'm alright! My leg still hurts a lot, but I'll be fine!" The boy said this to his father. "Are you sure?" He asked again, and his son nodded, leaving his father relieved. "Mr. Marshton. It seems like about 85% of your home has been destroyed, and most of the staff have chosen to resign and quit," the other man who works for Mr. Marshton, as his assistant had informed him, "And the other percent?"
"Are you dead, sir?"
"Okay. Let me think."Mr. Marshton takes a few moments to try and think about their next move. There's no doubt that his archenemsis has returned after 15 years and is now back to try and kill him along with his son and the rest of the Marshton family. "Alright, well, it's obvious we can't stay here in America since he's going to try and plan more ways to try and get us all killed, even if he has to show up in person. Knowing him, he enjoys working in the shadows until it's the right time to attack himself." Mr. Marshton had predicted.
"So, what should we do?"
"We're going to have to move out of the country and keep a low profile, Connors said.Maybe if we were somewhere else in the world, it would take him a long while to hunt us down, and we would have time to come up with a plan to strike back. Plus, we can keep my son safe from harm if we have any problems in the next place we go."
"Very well. Should I inform the rest of the staff about our departure?" Connors asked, and Mr. Marshton nodded before sending him on his way. "Hey Dad, what's going to happen to us now? Are we still going to try and help the heroes when we get to wherever we're going?" Danny asked.
"Well, I'm not completely sure. We're going to have to try to settle down once we get there and work out the rest. But hopefully, this doesn't get in the way of my plans. Besides, I know just the place that should be perfect for us to stay safe and ensure progress."
"Where's that?"
"Danny, my boy. Be prepared to have those foreign language classes paid off. We're going to Japan! Home to some of the greatest heroes on the planet!"
