This is the final chapter so giving nice comments will be welcome.

Just in case you guys forgot, this story is connected to my other fic of one shots called 'These Moments'.

This SMM universe carries after canon T5 events when Jin isolated himself from the world and Nina found out about Steve and the horrible experiments. Then 'These Moments' happens.

What do you think guys? Should Nina finish studying at uni or be a college dropout like Jin and just take the Mishima Zaibatsu by the horns?

Chapter Thirty Four

.

.

.

"Alisa doesn't wish to remain friends with you." Doctor Bosconovitch tells Nina. "After the continuous abuse of the Alisa watch and what you made her be complicit in, she no longer wants to stay in touch, Miss Williams. Thanks for your participation in the Alisa program and all the best in your new endeavours."

Nina is beyond pissed. Just when she began treating the robot like a person….

"Whatever, she's a robot anyway. Not like she has any humanity in her. She'll never be a person, no matter how hard she tries."

"Goodbye, Miss Williams. Do not contact us again."

Piss off.

She got used to seeing Alisa quite often and for Alisa to suddenly terminate herself from Nina's life does hurt. She's confused. She feels stupid for getting attached.

It's insulting that a robot didn't think she was worthy as a….friend.

Or maybe the doctor didn't want Alisa seeing her again. She calls BS on his statement. There's possibly no way it will be the last she sees of Alisa right?

If anyone throws her in an open grave surrounded by landmines, Nina can't get Alisa's help out of there anymore.

That is terrible.

She really liked that Alisa watch.

"I became an assassin not just because my mother was one…" Eun sighs. "I've told you this story before but you have amnesia now so I'll tell you again."

Eun tells her a narrative of a nine year old girl staying with her young grandma while her mother was out on a mission to kill someone. They were attacked by some men who demanded that they wanted to enjoy one of them, their preference was for the nine year old. But the grandmother wasn't having any of it. She sacrificed her own body so that the nine year old would be protected. They made little Eun watch every moment of her Grandmother's rape. That was her first exposure to anything sex related too and it harmed her. She wasn't an adult.

"I saw those sicko's enjoy my grandma. They didn't use any protection at all either. My grandma was in love with my granddad and never had any man after him. To think that they robbed this from her…."Eun seethes and clenches her fists. "Ever since that day, I see all scumbags as those paedophilic rapists. It's why I have a lot of sadistic hate for such types. Seeing that breaks you, Nina. It breaks you."

"You're not broken." Nina says, taking her hand.

Eun hugs her. "I love you so much Nina, you're the best friend I've always wished for. Thank you for being in my life."

They part from each other. "So…there's this new contract, great for a beginner and an amnesiac assassin. It's for a mafia syndicate. They want some young British boxer dead. I was going to take it but it's such an easy job, just a good old rifle. He's only twenty one."

"Why do they want such a young person dead?" Nina asks.

"That's the youngest they'll go. Anything younger isn't accepted by my organisation."

Twenty one was Jin's age. Twenty four was her age?

"I don't even know which age to really go with. I don't feel forty three."

"You aren't forty-three. Your body says twenty something, stick with that. It's not fair that you miss out on two decades of life only to be treated like you aged like everyone else." Eun rubs her arm reassuringly.

"Thanks, I do only feel as a twenty four year old."

"I may be a grandma in a decade and not you so don't worry Nina."

"Yes, I suppose you're right. There's no way I'd ever be a grandma in ten years." Nina laughs. Her sweet luck. It's not like she had a grown up kid out there anyway and she'd grateful for that because it would be so awkward.

"I always had a dream our kids will be besties like us. But uh…guess fate has other plans."

"Right now I feel like the biggest storm of my life is over and I can breathe again."

For now.

"Great, the file on the boxer will be given to you by our boss and it's strictly confidential. He wants you to read it and no one else. Please be a good friend and leak the details to me, okay? We besties."

Nina chuckles. She had no idea what was in the file but when she will read it, it would turn her world upside down.

It's something no woman ever deserved to have happen to them.

And the doctor responsible for it has shunned her. He would never give her any answers and nor will he ever apologize for the violation she went through.

If Eun took the job, Nina would have never known about her connection to Steve Fox.

And Steve would have been dead.

"I swear, if you hurt my friend, I will take our two sons away from you." Eun-Seo warns.

"She doesn't deserve to live." He sneers at her and throws the unsigned divorce papers in her face. "You can't keep my sons from me. I love them! My eldest is next in line for the G-Corp throne!"

"There's more businesses to choose from." She says flatly. "Sign the papers!"

"No. I won't sign them."

"I am not going to be your wife anyway anymore."

"Fine. Have it your way. I let my dad's murderer walk scot free so that I can have my sons in my life, courtesy of their cruel mother."

"You have twenty years to love me, Rory. I gave you twenty years of my life, you know. And it's just recently I have seen a couple together who taught me what actual love looks like. It's not what we have. I have loved you but you never tried. I feel terrible that my sons have such a father who wouldn't love their mother. I don't want them to turn up like you. They deserve better than a bitter cruel father."

"My dad meant the world to me and for my sons, I mean the world to them." He says coldly. "Eun-Seo..." He calls out before she leaves. "Till death do us part"

He goes to see Kazuya Mishima afterwards, in an attempt to goad him to kill Nina Williams. Kazuya is not bothered about her nor sees her as a threat. It doesn't work so he plans to use Jacks to kill Kazuya later and he'll hire someone to destroy Nina anyway. There was plenty of assassins in the world to do his dirty work. Provided she didn't slip from his radar.

What he doesn't know is that after the fourth Tekken tournament and after Kazuya learns of the betrayal, his neck will be trapped in Kazuya's fists and life will be squeezed out. The company he wanted his eldest son to inherit will fall into the hands of Kazuya Mishima.

The fourth Tekken tournament is announced worldwide. Nina and Jin saw the commercial together in his apartment a few days ago.

It is his last day here because he was heading back to Japan. Things were packed in a suitcase ready to go and Nina feels this strange feel of sadness within her. They made so many good memories in this apartment. This was the last memory they'd make in this room. No one knows what would happen tomorrow.

"Why would you become an assassin again?" Jin asks her. "It's not a good life. You could get more enemies."

The reason why was after her meeting with Julia. Seeing how broken her friend was because of that dirty Koldan, pulled Nina into joining Eun's agency. Killing Koldans would do the world some good.

"The organisation I'm with works with trying to kill paedophiles, rapists and hustlers. Basically those who are a burden on society or get away with crime." Nina replied to him. "I want to do some good in the world and I think this is what I can do."

"But what about your business and economics degree?"

She had one year left of that and hadn't enrolled for her third year yet. He's aware of that. He had only completed one year of university before everything went to shit. He and Nina might be those with uncompleted degrees.

"Baby, that will come in handy when you eventually hire me as a businesswoman for the Zaibatsu, I trust you will pull me out of a miserable cold assassin life, give me lots of luxury and an army to command. That's my eventual goal."

He hadn't forgotten their dream. She moves to the balcony and wistfully looks at the swimming pool she's made so much memories in, especially the one where Jin realised he was in love with her. He watches too.

Something was brewing in his mind. She didn't like the storm he was keeping from her. It feels as if he would have to go away from her again and the uncertainty haunts her.

She pulls him to her and presses her lips against his, willing the secret storms away and hoping she would be the sunshine in his life. Jin kisses her back and holds her in his arms. When they part, she looks in his eyes for answers but he kisses her again, lips touching her face all over. He pulls her in for a hug and they listen to each other's heartbeats.

Being away from him was punishment.

"When I first saw you turn up here, in that bar to work with me, I thought you wouldn't last long in this city. You're so introverted and have zero social skills. But look where you are now. I was wrong." Nina admits. "You surprised me. I didn't even think we'd be anything more than co-workers for a small time."

"I always felt that you were supposed to be in my life because you kept turning up in strange ways. Whether it's under Ogre's control or even in Brisbane. No matter what happens, we're supposed to keep coming back together."

"That's a poetic way to put it." Nina replies, she didn't want anymore distance with Jin.

"I came here not to lose myself and you came here to find yourself."

"There's so much more to you." She muses. "I'm glad I got to know you."

He sees that there's always much more to her too and cups her face.

They kiss again.

She'll see Jin off in the airport. Truth be told, she'd love to go on that plane with him and go wherever he went. They make their way outside. There is a homeless woman squatting outside, she's not been here before. Nina puts some money into the homeless woman's teacup. "Please get yourself off the streets if you can." She tells her. "Coins and notes won't really take you far."

"Bless you, Sheila."

After dropping Jin off at the airport, Nina would open the file of her next assignment and find out who her target is.

A/N: The alternate ending is that Nina quits as an assassin and just completes her degree in Brisbane with Julia. She joins the tournaments for fun and then joins Jin in T6. 😉

And Jin does what Jin does, wiping the floor with Heihachi, calling Kazuya a bastard, sparring with Hwoarang and passing cool one liners as he flexes his strong muscular body, a fanservice for Jin lovers. (And loving Nina off screen)

Tekken 5 happens and no one sees Jin for months because of Devil Jin.

And that folks, is the end of me posting chapters for SMM.

It carries on with 'These Moments'.

Happy New Year!
