Percy entered the throne room with Hera to his surprise, the Olympian Council was already assembled. Hera took her seat next to Zeus. Percy spoke up and said, "Excuse me, ladies and lords of the Olympian Council. I wish for a purpose, something to give my life meaning after all I have lost." Everyone on the Olympian Council was very confused. They thought their hero had a great life, a loving girlfriend, and a towing mother. They had no idea of the events that had transpired earlier in the day. Poseidon was the first to speak up. "Percy, my son, do you not already have a purpose? You have a loving girlfriend and a loving mother. What is more important to you than the love of your family?" Percy was crying and saying nothing, but he has very little left. His mother was killed, and Annabeth's been cheating on him for a while. This shocked the gods and saddened even Athena, who was less than receptive to her daughter's choice of percy.
Percy once again asked his question. Lords and ladies of the Olympian Council, please give me a purpose. I need something to give my life meaning. If that cannot be fulfilled, then please kill me. This shocked the Olympian Council even more. Their greatest hero asking for them to either give him a purpose or to kill him. The gods were quick to answer. "Of course we'll give you a purpose," said Hermes. "And that purpose will be, uh..." Another thing happened that shocked the council. Artemis spoke up. And she said, "Your purpose will be helping me in my hunt. Your strength will be helpful against the tougher monsters that have been appearing lately. Even the weaker monsters seem to be more difficult to kill now. You will train them in hand-to-hand combat and swordsmanship." This shocked everyone, even the other gods. Artemis was never one to admit she needed help. She would wait until the very last second. And then, and she'd ask for help. She never had to beg for it, because no one dared angered the goddess of the hunt.
"You will be at my camp by the end of the day. We are currently camped in Central Park.If you are not there, we leave without you.And this is your one and only chance. You will not flirt with my hunters. You will not do anything deemed perverse by me.And you will obey me Whenever we are with the hunt, you may talk with me about your feelings on orders after you do what you are told.Do I make myself clear? "Artemis stated all at once.First he did his best to take everything in. He just got a sentence to being with the hunt.A group of man-hating, immortal teenage girls who would kill him at the first chance they got. This is gonna be fun.then Percy bowed and thanked Artemis and siad." I swear on the river Styx that I shall not flirt with Artemis's hunt, And I shall protect the hunt until the day I die."
