? Chapter 9 ?
Even though she had just assured Izuku regarding this, Kimitsuki frowned to herself as she processed what Aizawa was saying. She had heard that U. A. was very tough and this didn't seem out of the lane – but to kick someone out on the first day just out of the school because they didn't do well on their very first Quirk assessment test? It was something that Kimitsuki had not expected at all.

"Last place will be expelled?" Ochaco asked, equally shocked. "But it's the first day of school! No, even if it wasn't the first day of school, this is too unfair!"

"Natural disasters, big accidents, and selfish villains," Aizawa responded. "Calamities whose time or place can't be predicted. Japan is covered with unfairness. Heroes are the ones who reverse those situations. If you wanted to go talk with your friends at Mickey D's after school, too bad,"

That was a bit too specific.

"For the next three years," Aizawa continued. "U. A. will do all it can to give you one hardship after another. Go beyond. Plus Ultra. Overcome it with all you have got. All right, demonstration's over. The real thing starts now,"

Test 1: 50 Metre Dash

Kimitsuki stood on the side with Izuku as they watched Iida Tenya and a rather frog-like girl named Asui Tsuyu on the started line on the metre dash. Their speeds were going to be evaluated by special cameras provided by the school, and they were also going to be meditating the races –

"On your mark... get set... go!"

There was a small gunshot and both Tenya and Tsuyu went running toward the finishing line. Kimitsuki quietly observed them with her Quirk, recognising their Quirks to be Engine and Frog. And as according to his Quirk, Tenya managed to pass through the finishing line relatively quickly.

"3.04 seconds,"

"Her Quirk is Frog," Kimitsuki said quietly to Izuku as they watched Tsuyu hop across the lane and toward the finishing line. "I think she can do everything a frog can do,"

"5.58 seconds,"

Tsuyu passed the finishing line and Kimitsuku turned to the next two people on the race course – they were Uraraka Ochaco with her Gravity Quirk and Ojiro Mashirao with his Tail Quirk.

"On your mark... get set...!"

There was another gunshot, causing both Ochaco and Mashirao to go running forward. Ochaco seemed to have loosened herself up with her own Quirk but Mashirao proved quicker with his tail.

"5.49 seconds,"

"I feel like physical mutation Quirks are more natural for their users to handle," Kimitsuki said. "Because they have lived with the manifestation of it at all times," Izuku nodded in agreement.

"7.15 seconds,"

Ochaco managed to get across and looked pretty satisfied with her speed. The next two in line to race together were Ashido Mina, with her Acid Quirk, and Aoyama Yuga, with his Navel Laser Quirk.

"Everyone, you're not being creative enough," Yuga said as he got in his place along with Mina. He was still standing and facing backward. "I'll show you what it's like to be allowed to use your Quirk!"

Yuga used his Navel Laser Quirk and went flying across his lane with the help of the laser that was fitted into his belly bottom. But then, he fell through in the middle of the race and had to redo the laser to get through the remaining length of the dash.

Mina, however, used her Acid Quirk to slide her feet across the dash and get through before Yuga. Kimitsuki smiled gently as she watched the girl make with good time. Yuga, on the hand –

"5.51 seconds,"

"If I shoot for more than a second, I get a stomach-ache," Yuga said, looking pretty satisfied with his score. Everyone just stared at him in bewilderment and Kimitsuki shrugged her shoulders gently.

"It's your turn next, Izu-Chan..." Kimitsuki said to Izuku and he walked up to the race course to get in place. "With... Ka-Chan...?"

The person Izuku was going to run with was none other than their own classmate – Katsuki. Kimitsuki chewed on her lower lip as she watched the two of them get into their places.

"On your mark... get set..."

"Explosive speed!" Katsuki shouted as he went running with the help of explosions just as the gunshot rang. Kimitsuki knew he would do well always, anyway.

"4.13 seconds,"

Kimitsuki quietly clapped for Katsuki as he got across and she looked at Izuku, who wasn't using his newly-required Quirk out of fear getting incapacitated and just running normally after Katsuki.

"7.02 seconds,"

"You did great, Izu-Chan and Ka-Chan!" Kimitsuki called out gently as she looked at them. Izuku gave her a weary smile and she returned a small one while Katsuki ignored them.

"When I use both hands, the force disperses..." Katsuki acknowledged to himself as he looked at his smoking hands. Kimitsuki was about to say something –

"Kuroyanagi, you're up next," Aizawa interrupted her and when Kimitsuki turned to look at him, with her Quirk still activated, she realised what and who he was. "Yaoyorozu, you too,"

Eraser Hero, huh?

"Y-Yes, sir," Kimitsuki replied, walking over to where Katsuki had been standing and taking her place as the other girl, the black-haired girl Yaoyorozu Momo, whose Quirk was Creation, walked over.

"On your mark... get set..."

The gunshot went off and Kimitsuki went sprinting in front of Momo, running as fast as she could. As All Might had told her – pretend you're being chased by a large group of paparazzi and go running!

"4.15 seconds,"

Kimitsuki passed over the finishing line and slowly jogged to come back to a stop, leaning over her knees and heaving slightly as she held her chest. She looked to the side and Momo stop next to her a few moments later, and beyond her, Kimitsuki saw the little guy from earlier, Mineta Minoru.

Mineta was salivating as he stared at them and Kimitsuki scrunched up her nose in disgust as she turned away from him. She had hoped that she wouldn't have to deal with perverts in U. A. High and have them watch her and the other girls as they ran around in their P. E. classes or even in class.

"You did great, Tsuki-Chan!" Izuku cried out as he hurried over to where she was and Kimitsuki gave him a small smile out of gratitude as she breathed out her exhaustion.

Test 2: Grip Strength

Kimitsuki stood quietly as she inspected the hand-held device that the students were provided in order to use their hand muscles and have the device measure the strength of their grip. She hadn't quite seen such a thing before and she wondered if she would ever get to open this up and tinker.

"This is only the second test, Tsuki-Chan," Izuku whispered fearfully to Kimitsuki as he walked over to where she was standing, and he was holding onto his device.

"It's okay, Izu-Chan, you can do it," Kimitsuki said, smiling gently at him and giving him a quick thumbs-up. "We trained well in the past ten months, didn't we?"

Despite Kimitsuki trying to assure him everything would be okay, Izuku began to mutter furiously –

"I'm sure everyone will use their Quirks to produce some extraordinary results," Izuku was going on about. "On the other hand, I have this power that will break my body if I use it once. Control... control... even if I have the image in my head, when I have to actually use it..."

"Calm down," Kimitsuki told him. "Did you forget what All Might said? If you have the image of an egg in a microwave, then you must lower the wattage or shorten the cook time. Either one of them or anything really – just focus on the image of the egg not exploding,"

Kimitsuki patted his shoulder and turned to the device in her hand, knowing that it was once again useless with her Quirk. She sighed and tried to focus with all her might on getting a good score.

"Wow!" Hanta exclaimed from nearby, where he was gathered with Mineta Minoru, and Mezo Shoji. "54.0 kilograms? What are you, a gorilla?" Shoji shook his head. "Oh, an octopus?"

"Octopuses... are sexy," Minoru breathed and Kimitsuki shook her head as she looked back down at her device, squeezing it as hard as she could.

34.0 kilograms.

Test 3: Standing Long Jump

"This is getting worse and worse," Kimitsuki muttered to herself as she waited in line to jump across a long sandbox. "How can I do all of this with an eye Quirk? It's almost unfair," She stopped. "Well, Quirks are supposed to be unfair, huh?"

Aoyama Yuga used his Navel Laser Quirk as he jumped into the air and easily flew over the sandbox from one side to the other and Kimitsuki stared after him in surprise and frankly amazement. She was getting more and more impressed by everyone and the ways they used their different Quirks.

It was Katsuki's turn next, and Kimitsuki wanted to say good luck to him but kept her mouth shut as he moved ahead and jumped over the sandbox easily with his explosions keeping him in the air.

"That's it," Kimitsuki breathed, hitting the side of her fist to her palm as a bulb went off in her head. "I can try using the flames to guide me over the sandbox,"

Kimitsuki moved back a little before she went running toward sandbox and jumped forward, moving her arms backwards and bursting out black flames just in the moment she felt her trajectory slack. She looked up in awe as the sudden expulsion of her flames pushed herself forward and she went flying onto the other side, but her eyes widened when she noticed just who hadn't moved –

"Ka-Chan, watch out!"

Katsuki turned to look up behind him just as Kimitsuki smacked into him, sending the two of them sprawling into the ground as the white-haired girl quickly extinguished the flames before they hurt him. She groaned at the sudden pain, reaching up to grab her head as she pushed herself back up.

When she finally looked down, Kimitsuki found herself staring at the face of a very annoyed Katsuki. It took her another moment to realise that she had obliviously pushed herself to sit on his stomach.

"I'm sorry, Ka-Chan!" Kimitsuki cried out and quickly rolled off of his body and went slumping into the dirt. She blushed and pushed herself onto her feet. "Let me help you up –"

"Leave me alone," Katsuki growled and Kimitsuki yelped as she went staggering back from him, her face turning pink as she realised that she shouldn't have offered help to Katsuki of all people.

Staring at her reaction, Katsuki shook his head and got onto his own feet, dusting himself off. He muttered a few colourful words under his breath and looked away, feeling his cheeks turning red.

If there was something that Katsuki hated – it was the strong, sweet-smelling scents. And the scent of lilacs always permeating off of the girl was always too sweet, especially when paired with her plum-scented shampoo. People may like her scent, but it was too cloying for him to bear – made his head spin, his face and nose to turn red, and it always made him feel like he was getting a fever.

Kimitsuki herself hurried over to where her best friend was, having landing himself halfway into the sandbox after being unable to get across. She felt her body turning warm and she wasn't quite sure if it was her flames that caused her to heat up or if she was just that embarrassed.

"Are you okay, Izu-Chan?" Kimitsuki asked as she reached her hand out to him, only for Izuku to yelp out when he felt just how hot her hand had been. "I'm sorry,"

Test 4: Repeated Side Steps

"I don't like that person," Kimitsuki whispered to Izuku as the two of them watched Mineta Minoru use his Pop Off Quirk to complete the task by bouncing himself back and forth between the line at a very fast and frankly remarkable speed.

"You don't like him, Tsuki-Chan?" Izuku asked, rather surprised at the tall female's words. "Why don't you like him?" Kimitsuki bit her lower lip slightly and shrugged.

"He's very strange," Kimitsuki replied quietly, deciding not to tell the poor boy about how much of a pervert that student was. "Yes... he's very strange for some reason,"

"You normally don't dislike people, though," Izuku remarked. "What was his Quirk again?" Kimitsuki's Quirk was already activated as she looked around glowing eyes.

"His Quirk is to do with those balls on his head," Kimitsuki answered. "And the balls attached to the ground. He's able to stick to anything and everyone... I think only he is able to take it off, too,"

"That's not a bad Quirk, either," Izuku replied. He sighed and looked over. "Everyone is so good with their Quirk... what if I'm the person who's going to leave before we even start school?"

"You'll get through," Kimitsuki responded quietly. "We've got long-distance, seated toe-touch, sit-ups coming up... you'll do good in those. Oh, and the ball throw, too,"

Test 8: Ball Throw

"Uraraka-Chan did well, didn't she?" Kimitsuki said as she watched the brunette take the Gravity off of the ball and sent it flying off into the distance until Aizawa turned around to show them the device that calculated the distance. "It's your turn next, Izu-Chan, good luck,"

Izuku gave her a scared look and then walked in front of them with shaking legs. Kimitsuki continued to watch him out of concern. She knew that he had not shown anything outstanding so far.

"It doesn't look good for Midoriya-Kun if he continues like this," Tenya commented as he walked over to stand next to Kimitsuki and Katsuki. Ochaco looked over from next to him as well.

"Huh?" Katsuki said. "Of course not! He's Quirkless small fry, you know,"

"Ka-Chan, that's not nice," Kimitsuki replied, frowning and giving him a stern look but he just rolled his eyes at her. She pursed her lips, slightly annoyed by him. It was the heat.

"Quirkless?!" Tenya questioned, shocked at the ash-blond's actions. "Are you not aware of what he did in the entrance exam?" Katsuki rolled his eyes at him, too.

"Huh?" Katsuki repeated, and Kimitsuki sighed, shaking her head at her childhood friend's actions.

Wearily, Kimitsuki looked at Izuku and stared at him closely with her Quirk, watching his muscles tense up and she frowned when she saw how much stress he was putting. It wasn't concentrated at any location. It was swirling all over his arm and she grimaced, wondering if that had done his harm.

But then, right then, Kimitsuki saw him swing his arm forward and the movement of Quirk go out in his arm completely. As if it didn't even exist. For a moment, she was stunned. But then –

Of course, our teacher and his Quirk...

"I was definitely trying to use it just now..." Izuku said to himself as he looked at his hands, the ball having only landed 43 metres away from him.

"I erased your Quirk," Aizawa said, his eyes glowing red, his hair and scarf both levitating. "That entrance exam was definitely not rational enough. Even a kid like you was accepted,"

Ignoring what he was saying about her own best friend, Kimitsuki stared at Aizawa in awe.

"You erased my Quirk?" Izuku asked. "Those goggles I see! You can erase other people's Quirks with your Quirk just by looking at them. The Erasure Hero, Eraser Head!"

"Eraser? I don't know him,"

"I've heard of him. He's an underground hero,"

Kimitsuki looked over and noticed the student all gathered in a circle to discuss the identity of their homeroom teacher, and she sweat-dropped when she realised that she was left behind on her own. She looked back at Aizawa, now recognising him. Of course, she had never seen his face before.

If he can be a Pro-Hero with visual Quirk... then so can I... right?

"From what I can tell, you can't control your Quirk, can you?" Aizawa said to Izuku. "Do you intend to become incapacitated again and have someone save you?"

"Th-That's not my intention –" Izuku tried to reason with the teacher but Aizawa caught him with his scarf and dragged him closer to himself. Kimitsuki stared at them.

"Whatever your intention, I'm saying that's what those around you will be forced to do," Aizawa interrupted. "In the past, there was an oppressively passionate hero who saved over a thousand people by himself and created a legend,"

Huh? Is he talking about All Might?

Does he know about Izuku's inherited Quirk?

"Even if you have the same reckless valour you'll just be decked and turn into a useless doll after saving one person," Aizawa said. "Midoriya Izuku. With your power, you can't become a hero,"

"That was pretty... harsh..." Kimitsuki whispered as Aizawa finally released Izuku and his scarf went back to cover his yellow goggles.

"I've returned your Quirk," Aizawa said to Izuku as he started to walk off to the side. "You have two turns for the ball throw. Hurry up and get it over with,"

"It looks like he received some advice," Tenya said thoughtfully as he, Katsuki, Ochaco and Yuga returned back to where they had been standing next to Kimitsuki before.

"Are you worried about him?" Yuga asked Ochaco as he reached out to place a hand onto the brunette's shoulder. "I'm... not at all,"

"Who are you?" Ochaco asked innocently.

"Probably just telling him that he's expelled," Katsuki said in response to Tenya.

"He isn't saying that, Ka-Chan, you're being too cruel," Kimitsuki replied quietly, turning to look at him with her glowing purple eyes. She looked back at Izuku. "You can do it, Izu-Chan,"

Kimitsuki watched as Izuku got back into the proper position, watched his body tense and was curious to see that his Quirk flowing and concentrating on the tip of his finger as he threw the ball with an explosion strength right into the air as everyone stared at him in shock.

"Sensei..." Izuku breathed as he turned to look at Aizawa, who was slightly surprised at this performance, too – without compromising himself. "I still can move!"

"He got over 700 meters?!" Katsuki yelled so loudly that Kimitsuki flinched and moved away from him, grabbing her head as she did so.

"Finally, a hero-like record!" Ochaco cheered as she hopped over around and Kimitsuki clapped gently for her friend, smiling at Izuku.

"His finger's swollen!" Tenya noticed. "There was the entrance exam, too. He has a strange Quirk..."

"It's not very stylish," Yuga mused.

"You did really well, Izu-Chan," Kimitsuki said, smiling and waving at the green-haired boy to cheer him up. "That was amazing – I haven't seen that before,"

Katsuki glared at Kimitsuki and she flinched away further from him. She knew what he was angry about –

He thinks I never told him about it, huh...?

"What is the meaning of this?" Katsuki shouted as small explosions erupted in his palms, ready to be used against the nearest person. "Hey! Tell me what's going on, Deku, you bastard!"

"Ka-Chan, no!" Kimitsuki exclaimed as loudly as she could when she saw Katsuki's body move seconds before he himself did so. "Don't do it!"

Kimitsuki rushed seconds behind him as Katsuki raised his hand to attack Izuku, and she reached to grab his wrist, twisting her foot forward around his and was about to twist him around onto the ground when Aizawa's scarf flew at Katsuki and constricted him. Kimitsuki let go of him as if he burned.

"What the –?!" Katsuki grunted loudly as he struggled against the scarf which was restraining him. "These cloths are hard...!"

"They're weapons for capture made of carbon fibre woven together with metal wire made of a special alloy," Aizawa responded. "Jeez... Don't keep making me use my Quirk over and over. I have dry eye,"

"It's such a waste, since his Quirk is so amazing!"

"He gets dry eyes, too?" Kimitsuki whispered to herself, sparkling slightly as she stared at him. She snapped out of it when she realised Katsuki still constricted and moved away from him slowly.

Did I really try and fight him...?

Why would I do that?

"We're wasting time," Aizawa called out. "Whoever's next, get ready," He released Katsuki and Izuku walked over to where everyone was, his legs shaking strangely.

"Is your finger all right?" Ochaco asked Izuku when he reached them but Kimitsuki remained standing near Katsukil, slowly turning to look at him over her shoulder.

"Ka-Chan..." Kimitsuki spoke up quietly. "Don't resent us for things out of our control... please focus on the path in front of you... don't get distracted by... pebbles on the side of the road,"

Katsuki stared at the female in shock and then anger when he saw her eyes glowing purple, realising that it was that unsightly Quirk so infamous for its abilities in their middle school. Kimitsuki moved her head away, letting her long white bangs cover her face as she walked off to everyone else.

? Chapter 10 ?
Once the entire class was finished with their Quirk Assessment Test, Aizawa had them all gather in front of him in the field. Kimitsuki stood with Izuku, moving her head back and using her eye-drops for the constant use of Quirk that day. Her eyes weren't that dry because she was using it much more casually, allowing herself to blink normally. For her body heat, she couldn't do much for it.

"Okay, I'll quickly tell you the results," Aizawa told them. "The total is simply the marks you, got from each test. It's a waste of time to explain verbally, so I'll show you the results all at once,"

1st Kuroyanagi Kimitsuki - 2nd Yaoyorozu Momo
3rd Todoroki Shoto - 4th Bakugo Katsuki
5th Iida Tenya - 6th Tokoyami Fumikage
7th Shoji Mezo - 8th Ojiro Mashirao
9th Kirishima Eijirou - 10th Ashido Mina
11th Uraraka Ochaco - 12th Koda Koji
13th Sato Rikido - 14th Asui Tsuyu
15th Aoyama Yuga - 16th Sero Hanta
17th Kaminari Denki - 18th Jirou Kyoka
19th Hagakure Toru - 20th Mineta Minoru
21st Midoriya Izuku

Kimitsuki was genuinely shocked to see her name in front of everyone – at number one, no less. Even though she had decently enough in the tests but she hadn't expected to do this well. Of course, Kimitsuki had always, always been first in tests during school, too, but this is the Hero course!

Shaking her head, Kimitsuki ran her eyes down to look for Izuku and sighed softly when she noticed his name on the very end. She looked down next to her and saw the expression on her best friend's face.

"By the way, I was lying about the expulsion," Aizawa spoke up finally. "It was a rational deception to draw out the upper limits of your Quirks,"

Everyone was shocked, and Izuku let out a cry of relief. Kimitsuki was surprised but smiled gently.

"Of course, that was a lie," Momo said and everyone turned to look at her in wonder. "It should have been obvious if you just thought it through,"

"That was a little nerve-wracking, huh?" Sero Hanta said.

"I'll take up the challenge anytime!" Kirishima Eijiro responded, holding up his fist.

"I don't think... that he was lying about that," Kimitsuki said quietly as she looked at Aizawa. "About expelling the students who didn't have what was needed to be a hero,"

Few of the students turned to look at them and Kimitsuki averted her eyes from them out of awkwardness, and instead met eyes with Katsuki's red pair. She didn't react to his glare but it did make her sad to see that he was still so angry. Sometimes, she wished she had the nerve to read minds.

"With that, we're done here," Aizawa said. "There are handouts with the curriculum and such in the classroom so when you get back, look over them,"

"It's finally over, huh?" Kimitsuki said but shut herself up when Aizawa came to a stop next to where she, Izuku, Tenya and Ochaco were standing.

"Midoriya," Aizawa said as he held out a pass to the green-haired boy. "Have the old lady fix you in the nurse's office," He looked at Kimitsuki. "Kuroyanagi, go with him, make sure he doesn't lose his way,"

"He already figured that out about his students?" Kimitsuki breathed before realising Aizawa was still looking at her. She flushed and bowed her head deep to the ground. "Y-Yes, Sensei!"

Aizawa nodded and started to walk away from the students first, "Tomorrow will be packed with even more rigorous tests. Prepare yourself,"

"Let's go have your finger checked out by Recovery Girl, Izu-Chan" Kimitsuki said as she turned to look at Izuku, who nodded and hurried to follow the tall girl as they started to the school building.

For a moment, it was quiet between the two of them.

"I can't believe I did so bad on the first day," Izuku mumbled. "Looks like I'm going to have to start from the bottom," He let out a long sigh and Kimitsuki frowned at him.

"That's all the more reason to work hard," Kimitsuki told him with resolute, and then her voice lowered to a whisper, "Izu-Chan, you know why you came last, huh?"

"What do you mean, Tsuki-Chan?" Izuku asked, surprised at her words. He turned to look at her as the two of them walked down the corridor together.

"I might... sound rude," Kimitsuki said softly. "But you shouldn't have relied so much on your newly acquired Quirk just because you got it. You need to rely on your own personal strength, too – your quick-thinking and your physical ability. We're in the same boat... but you have far more capabilities and far more land to cover than me. Try to rely on yourself, too. Don't forget who you were before this,"

"You're... right..." Izuku whispered as he realised what Kimitsuki was trying to saw. She gave him a small smile in response and looked back ahead of them.

"Sorry about that," Kimitsuki repeated. "Regardless... I'm interested in our new homeroom teacher. He also uses eyes-based Quirk and I wonder if he would help me out with mine..."

"Speaking of your Quirk, Tsuki-Chan, I still wonder if you can see the future," Izuku said. "How did you know that I wasn't going to be kicked out? Especially if you thought that he would expel a student,"

"I can't see the future, Izu-Chan," Kimitsuki responded in almost an exasperated voice. "I can only anticipate what someone is going to do, and even that is stressful when it comes to thoughts or words. I can only see the muscles move and figure out what it that limb is going to do,"

Izuku looked pretty disappointed and Kimitsuki gave him a look before knocking on the clinic door.

"Come in,"

On Recovery Girl's order, Kimitsuki gently slid the door open. She bowed deeply in greeting to the healer and stepped aside to let Izuku in and he went over to hand his reasoning to Recovery Girl.

"My, my, your Quirk hurt you again?" Recovery Girl asked when she looked down at the reason why he had come there. Izuku rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. "Sit down,"

Kimitsuki lingered around in the back as she watched Izuku walk forward and sit down on the stool in front of Recovery Girl. Izuku held his finger out to the healer and she inspected it before giving it a smooch. Kimitsuki giggled slightly as Izuku looked around in confusion but then got more impressed.

"Wow, it's healed!" Izuku exclaimed as he held the finger up. His body suddenly slackened down out of exhaustion. "But I suddenly feel very tired..."

"My Quirk can only stimulate a person's healing ability," Recovery Girl replied. "Healing requires stamina. If you keep getting major injuries, you'll use too much stamina and end up dying instead, so be careful,"

"I'll end up dying instead?!" Izuku shouted as Recovery Girl gave him and Kimitsuki some jellies to replenish their lost energy. Kimitsuki took them gratefully.

"Thank you very much," Kimitsuki replied, bowing deeply and then straightening up, plopping the jellies into her mouth and chewing them quietly as she watched Izuku's finger get bandaged.

End of First Day at U. A. High:

Kimitsuki held onto the strap of her lilac messenger bag as she and Izuku left the school building together. Her eyes were ahead of them watching the fluttering cherry blossom trees and the distant figure of Katsuki making his way down the hill on his own. Even from here, she could see his tense body.

"I can't believe we're on our way to become heroes," Kimitsuki breathed, finally tearing her eyes off of Katsuki as he disappeared around the corner. "I'm happy because both you and Ka-Chan are here, too,"

"I'm so tired..." Izuku groaned from next to her gloomily and Kimitsuki sweat-dropped at him as he dragged himself across the courtyard. "Tsuki-Chan, I'm going to die..."

"You're not going to die, Izu-Chan," Kimitsuki responded. She noticed someone approaching them from behind and looked over her shoulder. "Ah, Iida-Kun...?"

"Kuroyanagi-Kun," Tenya greeted her before turning to look at Izuku – more specifically his bandaged finger. "Is your finger healed?"

"Yeah, thanks to Recovery Girl," Izuku replied, and Kimitsuki looked at Tenya in surprise when he started to walk down courtyard with the two childhood friends.

"I was really taken in by Aizawa Sensei," Tenya said. "I even thought – 'this is the best of the best!' and such. I didn't think a teacher would encourage us with a lie,"

"Um, I really don't think he was kidding around," Kimitsuki spoke up, raising her hand slightly. "I was looking at him throughout the test, and he was watching each and every one of closely. If he hadn't been happy with us, I think he would've definitely kicked a few of us out of the school on day one,"

"Is that so?" Tenya mused, rubbing his chin. "But I must say, Kuroyanagi-Kun, I was very impressed by your abilities. As one would expect from the number one student!"

"... thank you," Kimitsuki replied, bowing her head gently as she watched Tenya's strange arm movements. "I appreciate the compliment... but I'm really not all that at all,"

"Hey! You three!"

In unison, Kimitsuki, Izuku and Tenya stopped walking and turned around to see Uraraka Ochaco rushing down to where the three of them were. Kimitsuki watched the girl reach them, heaving.

"Going to station?" Ochaco asked them. "Wait for me!"

"Uraraka-San?!" Izuku asked, surprised as the girl finally reached them and Kimitsuki watched her double over onto her knees, breathing out.

"You're the infinity girl," Tenya said to the brunette. Ochaco nodded as she straightened back up and looked at them all.

"I'm Uraraka Ochaco," Ochaco introduced herself. "Um, you're Iida Tenya-Kun, you're Kuroyanagi Kimitsuki-Chan and you're Midoriya Deku-Kun, right?"

"'Deku'?!" Izuku asked, struck over the head. Kimitsuki looked around uncertainly at this.

"Huh?" Ochaco asked. "But during the fitness test, the boy named Bakugou said, you know," She looked at Kimitsuki. "Now do I think of it, you called him 'Izu-Chan'..."

"Uh my real name is Izuku, but D-Deku is what Ka-Chan calls me to make fun of me..." Izuku said, trailing off, sweating profusely. "Izu-Chan is what Tsuki-Chan calls me,"

"An insult?" Tenya inquired.

"Oh, is that right?" Ochaco asked, surprised. "Sorry! But 'Deku' sounds like the Japanese word for 'You can do it!' so I kinda like it,"

"I'm Deku!" Izuku declared, blushing deeply at Ochaco and Kimitsuki looked at him in surprise, but then looked with a smile.

"Midoriya-Kun?" Tenya asked, shocked. "You're accepting it too easily! Wasn't that an insult?"

"It's like a Copernican Revolution..." Izuku replied as he hid his blushing face behind his hands. Kimitsuki hurried to get the attention off of him before he fainted.

"Um, we should getting going now," Kimitsuki said softly, glancing at her watch. "The next train leaves soon and we must catch it. We have homework, too, and not to mention, getting ready for the upcoming week..."

"As one would expect from the number one student!" Tenya said loudly and Kimitsuki blushed heavily as she looked away from them.

?

Late Afternoon:

Kimitsuki's was sweltering as she crouched on the hot road next to the SUV car, trying to change the flat tire without passing out from the heat or from Mikoto's constant, never-ending chatter as she walked around the car, briefly taking the umbrella away from where Kimitsuki was working.

"I'm so sorry, Kimitsuki-Chan, I didn't know who else to call!" Mikoto said as she walked back to the white-haired girl. "I was thinking of calling Minamoto-Kun but I didn't want him to see me like this!"

"You don't look bad at all, Mikoto-Chan," Kimitsuki replied gently as she tightened the metallic lug nuts into the new tire with all of her strength. Mikoto giggled like a kid as she twirled the umbrella.

"Do you really think so, Kimitsuki-Chan?" Mikoto asked, blushing. "You're pretty, too! But you really do need some sunlight. You're pale like a ghost! You should spend more time out in the open,"

"I'll keep that in mind," Kimitsuki said quietly as she began to jack the car back down slowly. "Now, Mikoto-Chan, you must drive slowly and get the other tire fixed as soon as possible, okay?"

"Okay!" Mikoto replied. "Ne, Kimitsuki-Chan, I'm thinking of opening a boutique. Would you like to make a few dresses and hats for it, too? It's always been my dream! I'm almost done with college!"

"I wouldn't mind that," Kimitsuki answered as she rolled the tire to the back of the car and put in. She went around, grabbing everything else she had used while fixing up the car. "All done, you can go,"

"Do you want to come along?" Mikoto asked, closing her umbrella and throwing into the back seat. "It's cool in the car..." She watched Kimitsuki pick up her lilac bicycle and shake her head no.

"It's okay, I have to go to the market," Kimitsuki replied. "I'm making dinner for everyone, and I need to get medicines for the Oba-San in Apartment 117. You get the tire fixed up, and I'll see you at home later in the evening. Stay safe until then, see you,"

Kimitsuki bowed a goodbye to the older female and then got onto her bicycle, waving slightly before cycling down the road – a bit faster than usual – to get the air flowing through her long white hair and cool herself down from working on that flat tire. She had been unexpectedly called by Mikoto.

It was a quiet and uneventful journey to the marketplace, and Kimitsuki parked her bicycle.

"Let's see..." Kimitsuki whispered as she pulled out a list of ingredients as she entered the grocery store. "For the soup, we need potato starch... chicken breast... carrots... onions... for the dessert, we need red bean paste and Shiratamako, strawberries..."

Grabbing a basket from the front, Kimitsuki slung it onto her arm before walking over to the vegetables corner, picking out the carrots and onions, inspecting them lightly before putting them in her basket. She got the potato starch from aisle number three, and then headed to the back of the store to get the meat and fruits from the refrigerators.

There weren't many people around, which was unsurprising as most women came around early afternoon or late evenings to get their grocery shopping done. Kimitsuki liked that it was uncrowded.

"Right, Oba-San also wanted some milk," Kimitsuki reminded herself as she finished getting some strawberries into the basket. She walked over to the fridge where the milk and juices were stacked.

Kimitsuki leisurely opened the fridge and reached to grab the small bottle of milk when an arm appeared around her and picked up a box of juice. She tilted her head backwards and saw herself inches from Katsuki's face. For a moment, she stared at his face in confusion before scurrying aside.

"I'm sorry, Ka-Chan," Kimitsuki said quickly and quietly as she let him take the box of juice first. He moved back with a grunt and she gently extracted the bottle of milk.

What are you doing here?

Was the question that Kimitsuki wanted to ask of Katsuki but she promptly decided otherwise – of course, he was here to shop, and he would definitely not appreciate that sort of interrogation.

"Um, you don't want something else from the fridge, do you?" Kimitsuki asked him and pursed her lips as he just grunted and walked off from there. "I really... don't like him when he acts like this,"

Shrugging her shoulders lightly, Kimitsuki finished with her shopping walked over to the cashier, and sighed when she realised that she had come to a stop behind Katsuki. He was getting his juice and some random assortment of snacks checked out. Kimitsuki waited quietly behind him until –

Kimitsuki blinked when she noticed that he was glancing at her with that strange expressionless face. She had always thought he had that face when he was lost in his thoughts and staring at her in class.

It made her uncomfortable as she realised that those moments weren't distracted stares. He wasn't zoned out during the class, was he?

Averting her lilac eyes away from his red pair, Kimitsuki felt her cheeks warm up out of anxiety. He wasn't planning a coup against her and Izuku, was he? She didn't want to fight with him anymore. She knew he was angry with them for 'keeping a secret all these years' but it wasn't true at all.

"Ka-Chan," Kimitsuki said, mustering up some courage as she looked at him, wanting to tell him that it wasn't what he thought. "I'm genuinely sorry, but what it isn't –"

But Katsuki had paid for his stuff and strolled out of there, carrying his bag of goods. Kimitsuki frowned and shook her head as she placed the basket of her own stuff onto the cashier's table.

"A lover's quarrel?" asked the old lady behind the counter. Kimitsuki looked at her in surprise. "Are you and that boy dating?" Kimitsuki flushed red and looked away.

"Oh, no, we're just childhood friends," Kimitsuki replied quietly as she watched her stuff get checked out. "It's not some sort of quarrel... Um, it's more one-sided," She sighed to herself.

"Right," the old lady said. "I apologise for intruding in your personal matter," Kimitsuki just gave her a small smile and paid for her things. "Here you go,"

"Thank you very much," Kimitsuki said gratefully as she bowed her head before walking out of the store, heading to where her bicycle was parked, putting the bag in the front basket.

The journey back home was just as silent.

"Wow, this looks really good!" marvelled Akihiro, Granny Haruna's thirty-year-old son, as Kimitsuki brought over the Harusame Noodle Soup to the Chabudai in the living room. "Our Kimitsuki-Chan always makes the best food, doesn't she?"

Kimitsuki smiled softly, grateful for his compliments. Akihiro was the same person who had recently being helping her out with her samurai sword and other weaponry – he had good friends in the right places that allowed Kimitsuki observe individuals practising these weapons and also martial arts.

Martial arts came easy to Kmitsuki with her copying Quirk – it was just the putting the strength that was difficult. That could only be overcome by constant practise like any other person out there.

"That's right," Granny Haruna said before turning to Mikoto to inquire about her mother. "Where's Kyoko?"

"Oka-Chan is out on a date," Mikoto said with a grin and Granny Haruna shook her head but didn't say anything in response to it. "Ne, Kimitsuki-Chan, can you teach me to cook, too?"

Mikoto's mother was a person who enjoyed to go out often, whether with friends or a boyfriend. It was not anything strange or weird but Granny Haruna was always weary of this because her daughter always got herself in monetary troubles due to the extravagant tea parties in expensive tea-houses and restaurants.

"Of course, Mikoto-Chan," Kimitsuki replied as she walked over to the basement kitchen that she shared with Granny Haruna. "Um, Oba-San, I'm going to head out for a moment,"

"Aren't you going to eat with us?" Granny Haruna asked, watching the white-haired girl as she walked out with two small wooden boxes.

"I'm just going to go give these to Izu-Chan and Ka-Chan while they're still fresh," Kimitsuki replied, holding the boxes. "I'll be back as soon as possible,"

Of course, Kimitsuki had personally made some strawberry-and-red-bean-paste Daifuku for her two friends. It was something she often did whenever they had their important exams coming up or their birthdays – believing that it might cheer them up and bring them some luck for the upcoming year.

Kimitsuki headed to Izuku's house first, and was happy to see how excited he was when he received them. Katsuki, on the other hand, was a bit different –

"I told you I don't want them," Katsuki told her the moment he opened his front door and saw Kimitsuki standing there awkwardly with the sweets.

"You said you didn't want any of them for your birthday," Kimitsuki replied calmly. "These aren't for your birthday... it's for our new school year. I know you like spicy food better but..."

"I don't need them any time of the year," Katsuki responded and Kimitsuki pursed her lips at him, frustrated and glum at his constant rejection at her attempts to make amends for whatever.

"What's going on here?"

It was Bakugo Mitsuki, Katsuki's mother, who approached them from inside the house. She looked at her son and then at the person at the door, recognising Kimitsuki immediately and smiling widely at her.

"It's Kimitsuki-Chan!" Mitsuki said jovially and Katsuki rolled his eyes in annoyance. "It's been a while since I've seen you! I heard you got into U. A., too? Do keep an eye on Katsuki, too! Do you want to come in? We'll love to have you,"

"Oh, no, it's okay," Kimitsuki replied, bowing deeply in greeting. "I wouldn't want to intrude so late. I just came by to give Ka-Chan some Daifuku for the new school year together," She held it out.

"Ah, is that so?" Mitsuki said as she took the box of Daifuku curiously much to Katsuki's chagrin. "Thank you so much, I thought you stopped making them... Katsuki enjoyed them every year on his birthday, you know!"

Surprised, Kimitsuki watched as Katsuki's eyes widened as he processed what his mother had just revealed and then his eyes narrowed to small dots as he whipped around to face the older woman, his face so red that Kimitsuki knew he was going to explode any moment at his own mother.

"I hope you enjoy them," Kimitsuki said quickly, bowing her head deep to the ground. "I will be taking my leave now. See you at school, Ka-Chan,"

Kimitsuki turned around and fled, feeling an unexpected smile slipping onto her lips as she felt warmness rush into her chest.
