? Chapter 13 ?
At the monitoring room, Kimitsuki came to a stop between Katsuki and Tenya. Izuku wasn't in the position to join them there but Tenya had recovered from the shock and disorientation he felt from Kimitsuki's illusionary world. Kimitsuki glanced at Katsuki from corner of her eyes out of concern.

I wish he had gotten himself checked out, too...

"Well, even if I say that," All Might spoke up, and Kimitsuki turned to look back ahead. "The MVP for this battle was Young Kuroyanagi!"

"Me?" Kimitsuki asked in a quiet voice, surprised.

"Yes, you, Young Kuroyanagi!" All Might replied. Kimitsuki looked at Katsuki as his body tensed up all over again and she frowned. "Why is that? Does anyone know?!"

"Yes, All Might Sensei," Momo answered. "That is because, even though neither Kuroyanagi-San nor Iida-San's teammates followed their directions, Kuroyanagi-San managed to adapt to her surroundings the best and the quickest.

"From watching the match, it appears Bakugou-San acted on his own because of an obviously personal grudge. And as All Might Sensei said earlier it is foolish to launch a large-scale attack indoors. In the same way, taking into consideration the damage he received Midoriya-San's plan was also rash.

"Iida-San had prepared for his opponent's arrival and assumed it would be a fight over the weapon which made him late in responding to the final attack. It seemed like he had everything laid out but he still allowed himself be pulled into Kuroyanagi-San's Quirk as soon as he saw her,"

"That's right..." All Might said, trailing off uncertainly over how much the girl had just spewed out. Kimitsuki glanced at the Villain Team D, both of them shocked over their loss.

"We should always start with the basics to develop depth of learning," Momo said importantly. "We must strive to devote ourselves wholeheartedly. Otherwise, we cannot become top heroes,"

"Um, aside from all that," Kimitsuki said as she glanced at the lecture flying all over others' heads. She bowed deeply to All Might, "Thank you, Sensei,"

"You're welcome, Young Kuroyanagi!" All Might said. "All right everyone, let's change locations and start the second match. Tackle this training after thinking about what we just talked about,"

"Yes, sir!"

Everyone went back to the monitors while the next Villain team – Ojiro Mashirao and Hagakure Toru – and the Hero team – Mezo Shoji and Todoroki Shoto – walked out of the room to head for their turn.

"You were amazing, Kuroyanagi-Chan!" Eijirou exclaimed as he, Denki, Hanta and Mina walked over to where she was standing. "I can't believe how easy it turned out for you!"

I was on the verge of seriously injuring Iida-Kun or worse...

"I told you that she's amazing!" Hanta said to the redheaded male, grinning as he gave Kimitsuki a thumbs-up. "I saw you fight during the entrance exam! You've got a lot more going than fire, huh?"

I still need to learn how to control the illusions I show...

"You saw her when she took down that huge robot, didn't you?" Mina asked. "She controlled a robot to the roof and then jumped onto the big one and destroyed that huge robot down like bam!"

I don't know how to keep someone sane and control my physical body, too...

"Seriously?" Denki asked, impressed as he looked at them all. He turned to Kimitsuki. "I thought it was silly you guys were just standing there but then we found out what you really were doing!"

How can your body and mind be two different entities?

"What did you show him?" Hanta asked, curious. "I have heard a lot about your mother's Quirk... we all have! You can show anything and everything, right? An eternity even!"

I'm sorry, Iida-Kun...

"It was pretty terrifying," Tenya spoke up, shuddering – but then he pushed his glasses back on his nose. "Just what you would expect from the number one student!"

"I said that it's nothing like that..." Kimitsuki said, grabbing her cheeks as she felt her face turn red out of bashfulness and she looked away from them, causing them to chuckle at her behaviour.

But as Kimitsuki turned away from everyone, her eyes fell upon Katsuki, who was glaring in her direction. She lowered her hands from face and her smile dropped into a frown, the blush on her cheeks dying rather immediately. She stared back at him until Katsuki looked away with a grunt.

Quietly, Kimitsuki turned to look at the monitoring screen as the match between the next two teams started quickly. Shoto froze the entire building from inside with his ice, sending his teammate out.

"He did not cause any damage to his teammate or the nuclear weapon, and on top of that, he weakened the enemy," All Might acknowledged as Shoto reached the weapon without any trouble. Everyone in the monitor room were shivering except for Kimitsuki and Katsuki. "Hero team, wins!"

"W-Wow!" Rikodo said when Shoto used his hot side to melt all the ice that he had created.

"All right, everyone, gather around for a review of the second match," All Might said. "Next, we will begin the third match!"

Gaining some courage, Kimitsuki looked back at Katsuki standing next to her. He was breathing heavily once more and she was genuinely concerned that he was going to hyperventilate again.

"Ka-Chan," Kimitsuki said in a low voice. "Are you okay?" She reached her hand toward him but Katsuki slapped it away from himself. She pursed her lips. "I'm sorry, but you need to calm down,"

Calmly, Kimitsuki pulled her hand away from him and held it up to All Might to excuse herself from the room. She trudged out of the place, frowning deeply and rubbing her hand gently to calm the tingle of pain down. She wasn't sure what to make of Katsuki's behaviour after getting defeated.

Kimitsuki walked around the nearest corner and slumped down onto the ground, throwing her cap down and grabbing her head as she leaned her elbows on her knees. Her head was hurting her so much.

How do I help a boy with his Quirk when he has never dealt with one before?

How do I help a boy with his emotions when he has never dealt with them before?

At the end of their class with All Might, all the students – except for Izuku – gathered back in front of their teacher. It was already getting pretty late as the sun started to sink. It was one of the last classes of day and Kimitsuki wanted to go home and sleep quickly. Kimitsuki came to a stop next to Katsuki, who ignored her, and she tilted her head back to put in some more of her eye-drops.

"Good work everyone!" All Might said. "We didn't have any major injuries other than young Midoriya, either! You guys took this on seriously! You all did a good job for your first training!"

"To have such a proper class after Aizawa Sensei's class..." Tsuyu spoke up. "... it's kind of anticlimactic..."

Everyone nodded in agreement.

"We're free to have proper classes, as well!" All Might replied. "Well then, I must review the results with young Midoriya! Change and return to the classroom!"

And then, All Might turned around and sped off with his incredibly fast speed down the corridor.

"All Might's amazing!" Denki exclaimed.

"Why was he in such a hurry?" Mashirao asked.

"So cool..." Minoru agreed.

"Um, we should all go and change into our uniform," Kimitsuki spoke up quietly. "And we should head to our classroom. School is almost over,"

"You're right, Kuroyanagi-Kun!" Tenya said a bit too energetically. "Come along everyone!"

Kimitsuki sweat-dropped but followed him down the corridor to the elevator. Ochaco, Mina, Denki, Hanta, Momo and Minoru joined them, and Kimitsuki reached forward to press the button to their floor. She looked up and met eyes with Katsuki, who came to a stop in wait as the doors closed.

What is Ka-Chan thinking...?

Why wouldn't you let me indulge in your thoughts?

"Kimitsuki-Chan, we're here," Ochaco said and the white-haired girl snapped out of her thoughts. "Come on, or you'll be taken away with the elevator, you know!"

"Oh, I'm sorry," Kimitsuki replied, following after the brunette. She wished the elevator had taken her with it back down to where Katsuki was. "I didn't realise..."

"It's okay!" Ochaco responded excitedly. "But what do you think? It was a great class, wasn't it? All Might is amazing! Do you think Deku-Kun will be okay?"

"Um, Izu-Chan is very resilient," Kimitsuki answered quietly. "And Recovery Girl can heal him... she did the same during the entrance exam, didn't she?"

The two of them joined the other girls in the female locker rooms, and Kimitsuki slowly changed out of her costume and into her uniform, turning her back to the girls as she took off her clothes. She wasn't shy of girls – she frequented public baths with Granny Haruna – it was just the initial insecurity.

Kimitsuki left the locker room first and trailed off to the corridor that led to Recovery Girl's office so she could have a look at Izuku and if he really was okay. She knocked on the door and was allowed in.

"Um, I came by to see Izu-Chan..." Kimitsuki said when she noticed that All Might was in midst of getting scolded by Recovery Girl. They nodded at her.

"The school year has just begun, and he's already been in here three times!" Recovery Girl scolded. "Why didn't you stop him, All Might?!"

"I apologise, Recovery Girl," All Might answered.

"What are you apologising to me for?" Recovery Girl asked. "On top of his total exhaustion, he was here just yesterday. I can't treat him all at once. I did first-aid treatment already, so after the IV is finished, we can only wait for his body to heal slowly overnight,"

Frowning, Kimitsuki walked over to where Izuku was laid, in one of the hospital beds, and he was still unconscious and his right arm was bandaged up completely. She bit her lower lip in concern.

"Jeez," Recovery Girl continued. "I know he's your favourite and that you passed on your powers to him, but doesn't mean you should spoil him!"

"There is nothing I can say to that," All Might replied, rubbing the back his head. "Because I wanted to consider his feelings, I hesitated to stop the training match. Even so... Will you please not talk about One for All so loudly?!"

"Yes, yes, Mr. Natural-Born Hero," Chiyo responded sarcastically. "Mr. Symbol of Peace,"

"My injury and this form of mine are common knowledge among the U. A. teachers and a certain group of pros," All Might admitted. "But the secret of my Quirk, One For All, is known only to you, the principal, my close friends, and Young Midoriya, as well as Young Kuroyanagi,"

"I know it's not like you want to rest on your laurels at the top," Recovery Girl said. "But is being a 'natural-born hero' or the 'Symbol of Peace' really that important?"

"If I no longer am, then the superhuman society will be seized by evil," All Might replied. "This is the responsibility of those of us with this power,"

"If that's the case," Recovery Girl said. "Then it's even more important for you to learn what it means to guide someone!"

"Yes, ma'am," All Might answered.

Kimitsuki looked down at the injured body of her best friend.

Later that Afternoon:

"Ka-Chan," Kimitsuki said as she walked over to where Katsuki was packing up his schoolbag, just as the bell rang to indicate the end of the day. "Um... there's something I want to talk to you about," Katsuki didn't reply. "Ka-Chan...? I'm sorry... please listen to what Izu-Chan and I have to say,"

"I don't care about what either of you have to say," Katsuki growled and Kimitsuki frowned as she watched him sling his bag onto his shoulder. "I don't care about you!"

"Ka-Chan..." Kimitsuki trailed off, confused. "You don't have to care about me," Katsuki turned around to glare murderously at her at her words. "What's going on with you? Please, let's talk,"

What is he angry at exactly... if I just said what he just told me?

"Why won't you talk to me, Ka-Chan?" Kimitsuki asked quietly, not wanting any attention from their classmates. "Just talk to me for once. We can go out to a park or café, just please... let's talk,"

"Stop bothering me, Class Rep," Katsuki snarled and walked off from there, brushing his shoulder against hers as he left. She stared after him as he left the classroom.

Kimitsuki looked over and saw Eijirou and Hanta staring at her in wonder, and blushed.

"Um, I'm sorry," Kimitsuki mumbled under her breath. "Just some friendly disagreements..." She rubbed the back of her head awkwardly.

Just then, the door to their classroom slid open again –

"Oh, Midoriya's here!" Eijirou exclaimed. "Good work! Man, I don't know what you were saying during the match, but you were fired up!"

"I can't believe you fought evenly with Bakugou, who was second in the entrance exam!" Hanta added as he, Mina and Rikido surrounded the green-haired boy with Eijirou.

"You did a good job dodging!" Mina told him.

"You guys did that in the first match, so the rest of us had to give it our all, too," Rikido added.

"You were far from elegant, but –" Yuga said, appearing out of nowhere.

"You did a good job dodging!" Mina repeated, hopping all over the place and Izuku looked at them all in surprise, he noticed Kimitsuki in the back as she slowly walked over.

"I'm Kirishima Eijirou!" Eijirou introduced himself. "We're all going over the training together right now," He gestured toward Hanta.

"I'm Sero Hanta," Hanta said.

"I'm Aoya –" Yuga started but was cut off again.

"I'm Ashido Mina!" Mina introduced herself. "You did a good job dodging!" Kimitsuki reached over to Izuku and smiled at him, though her eyes were on his bandaged arm.

"I'm Asui Tsuyu," Tsuyu said, appearing from behind the pink-skinned female. "Call me Tsu-Chan,"

"I'm Sato!" Rikido introduced.

"Uh, um..." Izuku stammered bashfully, blushing as he looked around at everyone that had gathered around him. He looked over at Kimitsuki as she finally reached him. She looked sad. "Tsuki-Chan..."

"I'm Mineta!" Minoru said as he jumped up in front of them as he had not been able to get their attention from the ground as he was the shortest person in their class.

"Where the heck did you pop out from?" Eijirou asked, and quite honestly, Kimitsuki wondered the same thing about Minoru.

"I am Aoyama Yuuga," continued Yuga from the back. "I am a man who never stops shining,"

"You did terrible in the training," Rikido pointed out.

"You're too loud," Fumikage said and Kimitsuki turned to look at him, noticing that he was sitting on top of his desk crudely, with Mashirao and Kyoka standing nearby.

"Tokoyami-Kun!" Tenya said as he marched over to him, flailing his arms all over the place. "That desk is not a chair! Get off immediately,"

"It's not that big a deal, is it?" Kyoka asked.

"Wha –" Tenya said.

"What's with those hands, anyway?" Mashirao asked, confused at the way Tenya had been acting. Tenya sighed.

"You people..." Tenya muttered before continuing steadfastly, "I cannot condone actions that disrespect the desks that great men and women who are our upperclassmen once used!"

"You're too loud," Fumikage told him.

"Hey, Uraraka, wanna grab a bite to eat sometime?" Denki asked as he and brunette returned from the faculty room. "What do you like?"

"Mochi..." Ochaco started thoughtfully but then her eyes fell upon where Kimitsuki and Izuku were, with the male's arm still bandaged. "Wait, Deku-Kun, she didn't heal your injuries?"

"Oh, uh, it's because of how much stamina I have, and..." Izuku said, trailing off as he suddenly remembered the practise battle. He turned to look at Kimitsuki. "Tsuki-Chan, where's Ka-Chan?"

"Ka-Chan... went home," Kimitsuki replied. "I tried to talk to him... and tried to stop him but he just kept without really saying much," She kept her little one-sided conversation from Izuku.

Kimitsuki's eyes widened as Izuku turned around and ran back out of the classroom, and the white-haired girl didn't miss a beat before she went rushing after him. She raced behind Izuku as he went running down the stairs and to the front courtyard of the premises. She could see Katsuki there.

"Ka-Chan!" Izuku shouted as soon as they rushed down the front steps. "Ka-Chan!"

"What?" Katsuki asked angrily as he glanced over his shoulder with narrowed eyes when he saw it was the two people he didn't want to see together right now.

"There's one thing I feel like I have to tell you," Izuku replied as he stopped and Kimitsuki came to a stop next to him. "My Quirk is something I received from someone else,"

"Huh?" Katsuki responded.

"I can't say who I got it from, though!" Izuku said. "I won't say... But it's like a story out of comic books, except it's true. On top of that, I still can't control it properly. It's just a borrowed power that I haven't made my own yet. That's why... I tried to beat you without using it,"

"Ka-Chan..." Kimitsuki breathed, watching the ash-blond shaking in conniption.

"But in the end, I couldn't win and had to rely on it," Izuku continued. "I've still got a long way to go... That's why... That's why! – One day I will make this Quirk my own and beat you with my own power!"

"What the hell is that?" Katsuki demanded. "'Borrowed power'? You're talking nonsense. What are you trying to do, make me out to be more of a fool than you already have? Huh?! What are you trying to say? Today, I lost to you! That's all it was! That's all!

"As I watched the ice guy I thought, 'I can't beat him'! it is foolish to launch a large-scale attack indoors. Damn it! I ended up agreeing with what that girl said! Damn it! Damn it, damn it! Hey, you too, Deku! You, too, Kimitsuki! I'm just...! I'm just getting started! You hear?! Here, I will become the number one! You won't beat me again, bastard!"

"We're rooting for you, Ka-Chan, too," Kimitsuki said quietly as she slowly dared taking steps toward the blond who was tearing up. "Ka-Chan, I –" But Katsuki's expression twisted strangely at her words.

"I don't need you two rooting for me!" Katsuki shouted as he turned around, walking off, crying his tears of frustration into his arm as he did so.

"There he is!

Young...!... Bakugou...!"

Kimitsuki's long white ponytail flew forward as All Might went running past her and Izuku and to where Katsuki was, grabbing onto the ash-blond's shoulders when he reached the boy.

"Just so you know, pride is important," All Might said, looking off into the peach pink sky. "You definitely have the abilities needed to become a pro. You still have a lot of –"

"Let go of me, All Might," Katsuki growled. "I can't walk. I'll become a hero that surpasses even you without you telling me!"

"Huh?" All Might said as he looked down at the boy. "Uh... Right..." He released Katsuki's shoulders and blond walked off from there before anyone else bothered him.

"Ka-Chan..." Kimitsuki spoke up. "... seems to have grown up a bit..." Izuku looked at her in confusion. "He let out some of his feelings, didn't he...? He didn't bottle them up... He bottles up his feelings a lot, you know..."

Kimitsuki stared after Katsuki as he disappeared down the road in the orange hue of the dying sun. She wondered if this was the right way for him to open up. She wondered if he would slowly open up more of himself to those around him. She just wanted Katsuki to not keep up appearances anymore.

"I'm going back inside..." Kimitsuki said as she saw All Might walk over to Izuku to discuss something. "See you in there, Izu-Chan, let's go home together,"

Walking back over to the stairs that they had come from, Kimitsuki found Ochaco, Mina and Tsuyu waiting for her, and all three of them turned to look at the white-haired girl out of curiosity.

"What was that, Kimitsuki-Chan?" Mina asked.

"The fated battle between men," Ochaco said.

"It looked like Midoriya-Chan was just giving excuses one-sidedly, though," Tsuyu pointed out.

"The fated battle between men!" Ochaco insisted.

"Um, I don't quite think this is so," Kimitsuki said quietly. "It's not really a fated battle between men... it's more of two childhood friends trying to come in terms with their feelings with themselves and each other,"

I know... because I feel the same way...

? Chapter 14 ?
Kimitsuki walked silently down the road that led to the U. A. High School. She was on her own today – Izuku had gone ahead of her as she had gotten unexpectedly busy when she found out that Apartment 117 Oba-San couldn't cook herself anything.

And thus, in the end, unable to leave the poor old woman on her own during her sickness, Kimitsuki stayed back to cook her breakfast and feed it to her before she set off for her school on her own.

There was still quite some time until homeroom, and Kimitsuki hoped to reach class before Aizawa.

On the way to the school, Kimitsuki had almost gotten the opportunity to talk to Katsuki but when he saw her in the train, he stepped back out to take the other car. It annoyed Kimitsuki greatly.

"Honestly, it's not even funny anymore..." Kimitsuki muttered to herself. "Should I go visit him at his home...? I'm sure his Oka-San would allow me in..."

It was when she was a few feet away from the school that Kimitsuki noticed the large group of people – it was a swarm of reporters surrounding the school premises. She frowned to herself and walked to the other side of the road to avoid running into them until she reached the gates.

The news that All Might had been hired as a teacher at U. A. didn't take long to travel – and it shocked the entire nation. And of course, the media descended onto the school to hear more.

"What do you think of All Might as a teacher?!"

One of the reporters, a lady, had cornered one of the students and Kimitsuki looked over to see that it was one of her own classmates, and friend, Iida Tenya. She watched as Tenya turned around to –

"He made me recognise anew that I attend an educational institution that is the best of the best," Tenya replied. "Of course, his dignity and character go without saying, but we students are constantly able to see his humorous side. It is a unique opportunity to learn about being a top hero directly from one,"

"Iida-Kun is really diligent, isn't he?" Kimitsuki asked, rather amused at his behaviour and she looked back ahead of her just in time as she ran into something.

Before she could catch herself, Kimitsuki fell back onto her bottom and groaned slightly in pain – before realising that she had smacked into a person. She hurriedly got onto her feet, dusting the back of her skirt and bowing deeply to the person several times, apologising quickly, "I'm sorry!"

When Kimitsuki looked back up, her lilac eyes met with narrowed red eyes. She noticed that it was a slim young man, not much older than her, who had greyish-hair blue hair dishevelled over his strangely gleaming eyes and sallow skin – it was extremely wrinkled and dry, and filled with scars.

Something about him made Kimitsuki slowly take a step back, staring at him as if he would attack her at any moment. He was strangely rubbing his hand, and she realised that's where she had hit him.

"Um..." Kimitsuki said, wanting to look away from him but she didn't want to get her eyes off of him even for a moment. "I'm sorry... for running into you," She slowly bowed her head again. "I'm sorry,"

The man reached forward with his hand to grab at her face, as if he was going to snatch her facial features off, and Kimitsuki recoiled back from him, suddenly noticing the strange stench off of him.

"I'll be taking my leave now, have a good day," Kimitsuki said to the man quickly and gave him an awkward smile, bowing and hurrying over to the other side of the road, right into – "Ka-Chan,"

"Are you stalking me now?" Katsuki grunted, who had just arrived to the school gates after taking the second train. Kimitsuki shook her head no quickly. "Leave me alone,"

Kimitsuki didn't reply as she stuck next to Katsuki's side, and she glanced over her shoulder.

The man was still standing in his place, but she could feel his eyes on her. He was still rubbing his hand where she had run into him, and she wondered if she had hurt him. She felt bad if she had somehow injured him – was he very sensitive with his skin? Apologetic, Kimitsuki bowed her head to him again from the distance to make sure he knew she was really sorry but he kept staring back.

Deciding that she wanted to activate her Quirk and have a look, Kimitsuki had barely looked back again when suddenly, a loud voice interrupted her –

"Excuse me! Can you tell me about All Might – Oh? You're the boy who was caught by the sludge villain! And you're the girl who helped All Might, aren't you?!"

It was the same reporter lady from earlier, the one who had cornered Tenya. Both Kimitsuki and Katsuki stopped in their steps as they processed what was said, and they both were embarrassed.

"Stop it!" Katsuki muttered, annoyed at the topic that was constantly following him. Kimitsuki hurried to take him away from there but she was swiftly pulled back by the reporters.

"Ka-Chan!" Kimitsuki exclaimed, trying to reach for the ash-blond boy but Katsuki only glanced at her over his shoulder and continued on his way inside. "Ka-Chan, please!"

Kimitsuki was unable to follow Katsuki into the reporters horded her, and Katsuki did nothing to help her out. He walked down the courtyard, stopped, and looked back over at her once more. She tried to wave her hand to grab and Katsuki took a step toward her, but then shook his head and left.

Even though it was obvious to her that he didn't want to go through the sludge villain issue again with the camera, Kimitsuki was still a bit hurt that he didn't help her. She had expected him to help. Especially she was clasutrophobic.

"Hey, you're Kuroyanagi Kimitsuki!"

"What is All Might like? Are you an apprentice of his?"

"Is All Might training you to become a future Symbol of Peace?"

"What are your thoughts on the unsolved murder of your family 13 years ago?"

"Did you happen to have a hand in their demise? What happened in that house that night?"

"What are your thoughts on this? Do you think you're being framed for someone else's doing?"

"Um – uh – I'm not sure what you're saying..." Kimitsuki stammered, overwhelmed by the strange, and frankly uncomfortable questions. "Please! Let me go – I don't know anything – I'm not –"

Kimitsuki struggled to get out of there, now understanding what All Might meant when he said run as if you're being chased by paparazzi. She felt embarrassed and violated by their questions about her family's death. She hated any and all sort of public attention. She tried to get out when she was suddenly grabbed by the back of her collar and easily extracted out of the crowd. She looked up to see –

"Aizawa Sensei!" Kimitsuki cried out as he set her down behind him and turned to look at the reporters that had imprisoned his student. She gladly hid behind him.

"Um, about All Might..." the reporter lady trailed off, staring at Aizawa's appearance. Kimitsuki sweat-dropped. "Wow, you're scruffy... What's your deal?!"

"He's not on duty today," Aizawa replied nonchalantly as he shooed them away with a few flaps of his hand. "You are disturbing the classes and harassing students, please leave,"

"I would like to speak directly with All Might –" the reporter lady started but Aizawa just turned around to come back inside, motioning Kimitsuki to follow him, which she gladly did.

"I feel like I've seen him before..." one of the cameramen said.

"Don't you think you're too scruffy?!" the reporter lady shouted after Aizawa, who had by now gotten up the steps and to the school building with Kimitsuki.

"Thank you, Sensei," Kimitsuki said, bowing her head out of gratitude. "I shouldn't have allowed them... I shouldn't have given the opportunity to pick me up,"

Aizawa nodded, looking oddly satisfied by her constitution.

"I can't believe..." Kimitsuki said, glancing at the crowds of people over her shoulder, and also noting the man from earlier still standing in his place. "... All Might was able to work as a hero with all this,"

On these words, Aizawa raised his eyebrows at her, slightly amused internally as he shook his head.

There was a loud sound from outside and Kimitsuki turned around to see that the security walls around U. A. High had been deployed when the media tried to enter the school behind them. It made her feel a bit better that there wasn't anything too serious going on.

"Kuroyanagi," Aizawa said and she turned to look at him. "It's time for homeroom," Kimitsuki nodded and hurried to follow behind him as they walked to Class 1-A.

"Yes, Sensei," Kimitsuki replied quietly, keeping a respectful distance behind her teacher, not wanting to be in the same pace as him. It was somewhat difficult because he walked leisurely.

Kimitsuki and Aizawa reached the classroom together, and everyone turned to look at them as they entered. Izuku looked interested to see if she had discussed her Quirk with him while Tenya wondered if she was getting scolded for being late. Katsuki glanced over, figuring Aizawa saved her.

"Good morning, Izu-Chan," Kimitsuki greeted her friend, avoiding any further interaction with Katsuki as she walked past his desk, and sat down on her own seat.

Katsuki looked up when she didn't say her greeting to him, even though they had met twice already that morning, and looked away in annoyance when he heard Izuku happily respond to her. He huffed and clutched his fist around his pencil. Kimitsuki settled into her desk and looked at Aizawa.

"Good work on yesterday's combat training," Aizawa droned. "I saw the video and results. Bakugou. You're talented, so don't act like a kid,"

"I know," Katsuki grunted out, and Kimitsuki could hear the slight frustration and embarrasment under his voice, and she shook her head as she looked away.

"Midoriya," Aizawa said. "You settled it by breaking your arm again, huh? You can't keep saying you can't help it because you can't control your Quirk. I don't like saying the same thing over and over. As long as you fix the control issue, there's a lot you'll be able to do. Feel a sense of urgency, Midoriya. Remember to collaborate with your partner, don't leave them hanging,"

"Yes, sir!" Izuku replied, his reaction quite opposite to what Katsuki had showed.

"Kuroyanagi," Aizawa said, and Kimitsuki stood up in her place. "Your visual Quirk is very useful, and you shouldn't hesitate to use it. Also, you need to learn to speak up and lead people, don't allow them to overrule your ideas and strategies," He paused. "You did well,"

"Yes, Sensei," Kimitsuki replied, folding her hands over her stomach and bowing deeply in gratitude, smiling to herself. "I will continue to do well from here on and not disappoint you,"

"Good," Aizawa said. "There is more that I need to discuss with you, Kuroyanagi, so come by the faculty room later. Settle down for now,"

"Yes, Sensei," Kimitsuki repeated, bowing her head and sitting back down in her place. She wondered what Aizawa wanted to discuss – her visual Quirk, for sure, right?

"Now, let's get down to homeroom business," Aizawa continued. "Sorry about the late notice, but today, I'll have you..." Everyone held their breath. "... decide on a class representative,"

"It's actually a normal school activity!"

"I want to be class rep!" Eijirou exclaimed, raising both of his arms as he leaned forward excitedly. Kimitsuki looked over at him. "Pick me!"

"Me too!" Denki said, raising his hand.

"I want to do it, too," Kyoka said, her hand in the air as well.

"It's a job made for m –" Yuga said as he held up his hand.

"I'll be the leader!" Mina shouted, her eyes sparkling.

"My manifesto is for all girls' skirts to be 30 centimetres above the knee!" Minoru shouted, waving his little arms as he tried to gain their attention.

"No, that's horrible," Kimitsuki whispered when she heard what Minoru was advocating for. She looked around to make sure that no one was interested in his declaration.

"Let me do it!" Katsuki shouted. "Me!"

Kimitsuki was surprised that Katsuki wanted to be a class representative. He was the last person that she expected to take up such a responsibility – even with the added bonus of it looking good on a resume and being able to lead others. Kimitsuki, however, wanted to do it because she found it fun.

Yet still, she didn't raise her hand up – not wanting to be selfish and taking something away from Katsuki again. Not after taking away the title of being the only student from his school to get in.

Besides, Kimitsuki was pretty much done with Katsuki ridiculing her as the Class Rep all the time.

However, around her, everyone was going crazy for the title of the Class Representative, except for a few of them (which included her) that watched it all unfold. Aizawa himself silent as he watched.

Finally, having enough of the embarrassment over making such a ruckus around the place while their own homeroom teacher was in the room, a Pro-Hero no less, Kimitsuki stood up from her desk and clapped her hands loudly, putting a stop to everyone as they turned to look at her in confusion.

"Um," Kimitsuki said, suddenly a bit embarrassed and shy. "We shouldn't be making such noise when we have our teacher in the class. Please, let's show a better side of ourselves,"

"Kuroyanagi-Kun is right!" Tenya exclaimed, suddenly standing up. "It is a job with the serious responsibility of leading others! It is not a job for just anyone who wants to do it! It is a calling that requires the trust of those around you! If we want to use democracy to decide on a true leader then we should hold an election to choose one!"

"Your hand is raised the highest!"

"Why did you suggest that?" Denki asked.

"We haven't known each other for that long, so how can we have trust or anything?" Tsuyu questioned, putting her finger on her mouth.

"Shouldn't we select the person who did the best in the entrance exam?" Hanta asked, and turned to his left to look at Kimitsuki, who jumped slightly.

"Um, that wouldn't make sense, would it?" Kimitsuki asked feebly. "We have two students who were admitted to this on recommendations – Todoroki-Kun and Yaoyorozu-Chan,"

"Then, we can just select the person who scored the highest in their middle school finals!" Mina cheered up. "Kimitsuki-Chan, we have you! You scored the highest!"

"Oh, no, our middle school results had nothing to do with hero abilities, right?" Kimitsuki asked, trying desperately to get away from this. "It won't make sense. I believe we must hold elections,"

"If that's the case, and everyone votes for themselves..." Eijirou trailed off.

"Don't you think that is precisely why whoever receives multiple votes here can be truly considered the most suitable person?!" Tenya pointed out loudly. "What do you think, Sensei?!"

"I don't care, as long as you decide before homeroom is over," Aizawa responded, zipping himself up in his sleeping bag and falling over. Kimitsuki stared at him.

"Thank you very much!" Tenya replied, and Kimitsuki turned to look at him. "Kuroyanagi-Kun, would you like to help out?!" She nodded, jumping slightly at his loud voice.

"Um, okay," Kimitsuki said as she walked out in front of the class. "What we do is that... I will give each of you a piece of paper and you can write one name onto it. Once you have written your chosen candidate, you have to return it to me and Iida-Kun and I will count the votes given,"

Kimitsuki pulled out a small notepad from her pocket and began to go from seat number one to all the way to the seat number twenty-one. She herself pulled out her pencil and looked around the classroom to have a look at her classmates. She considered voting for either Tenya or Ochaco but then remembered Izuku – he would certainly improve if he became the Class Representative.

"Have you all written the names?" Kimitsuki asked as she looked back up. "If you have, please raise your hand and I'll come to you to take your paper. I won't peek, I promise,"

One by one, Kimitsuki went through the students with Tenya and took the folded pieces of notes. She didn't look at Katsuki as she took his paper, not wanting to annoy him any further. She was tired of chasing after him, trying to make him understand. If he wanted to talk to her, he would come to her.

"We're going to count the votes now and display them on the blackboard," Kimitsuki said as Tenya picked up the tablet from the desk. "You can have a look,"

Slowly unfolding the notes, Kimitsuki looked through them and pointed out certain names to the bespectacled male and he used the tablet to present all the names on the board, as well as the tally marks of each student. And as she had expected, most of the students had their own names written but there were some students who really went out of their way to write someone else's.

"Um, two more votes for Izu-Chan," Kimitsuki said as she found her and Ochaco's notes. "And a vote for Yaoyorozu-Chan... and another one for me... and one for Aoyama-Kun..."

Kimitsuki grimaced as she stared at the note containing her name. She couldn't figure out the three people who had voted for her – she didn't know their writing well enough yet. But then, another –

Kuroyanagi Kimitsuki

"Oh, I know this writing," Kimitsuki muttered, finally relieved but then snapped back up to look at the person who was behind this particular note – "Ka-Chan,"

But Katsuki wasn't looking at her at all. His chin was propped up on the palm of his hand and his gaze was set on the wall next to his desk. She wondered why he put her name in, and then wondered if he was doing this so he could continue to annoy her by calling her Class Representative. She sighed.

Removing her eyes off of Katsuki, Kimitsuki looked back at the note, staring at it. There was no way he genuinely wanted her to be the Class Rep, was there? It didn't seem possible, especially since he had just ignored her earlier when she asked for his assistance – he knew that she hated media.

It frustrated and annoyed Kimitsuki. She felt like they were pushing and pulling at each other, this strange tug-of-war between them. She wished she could read his mind and know what he was thinking. Did he hate her, or did he not? Why was he never clear to her? Was he clear with himself?

There were a lot of things that Kimitsuki found strange about Katsuki, and she was sure she will – somehow, some day – figure him out. She was waiting for that day, but until that day came –

We're going back to middle school, aren't we?

A/N: An expected update because today is my birthday. I hope you enjoy it!
