? Chapter 17 ?
"Gather together and don't move! Thirteen, protect the students!"
Kimitsuki looked at Aizawa with surprise when she recognised that it was who he who had spoken up with this level of urgency. She couldn't understand what was going on around them – but she wanted to know. She turned to look back at the portal that was opening down in the central plaza.
There was a strange grey-ish haired male who walked out of it first, and Kimitsuki was struck as she recognised who it was. She had seen him by the school – she had run right into him, in fact, so...?
But another man appeared alongside him, supporting smoke around where his head was supposed to be. And behind them came out another person – no – creature with a strange appearance.
"What's going on here...?" Kimitsuki breathed out, watching as more and more people began to appear out of the mist. Her wide eyes glowed as her Quirk manifested. "Who are these people?"
With her glowing dark eyes, Kimitsuki tried to look at them all but her head began to ache when she kept anticipating the movements of so many people at the same time, much less being able to focus long enough to recognise their Quirks. She closed her eyes to calm her senses and do it over again.
"Is this like the entrance exam where the lessors already started?" Eijirou asked. Izuku nervously took a step forward, coming to a stop next to Kimitsuki, clearly hoping to ask about the Quirks.
"Don't move!" Aizawa ordered them once more as he pulled on his yellow goggles, getting ready to fight. Kimitsuki glanced at him. "Those are villains,"
"How did they get in here...?" Kimitsuki whispered as she looked back ahead at the villains. "Oh! One of them has the Quirk to create portals!" Aizawa glanced at her. "The one with smoke as his head,"
"Thirteen and Eraser Head, huh?" said the person Kimitsuki was pointing out, Kurogiri. "The teacher's schedule we received the other day said that All Might was also supposed to be here,"
"The trespassing the other day was the work of these scumbags after all, huh?" Aizawa muttered and Kimitsuki quickly caught what he had said, whipipng back around to have another look.
"Where is he?" said Shigaraki Tomura. "I went through the trouble of bringing this whole crowd, too... All Might... The Symbol of Peace... And he's not here? I wonder if he'll come if we kill some kids?"
Kimitsuki tried to focus on his solitary stationary figure to Quirk but she couldn't do it – she only saw darkness pumping through his veins, and she realised that she was looking at a mutated Quirk.
Much like herself.
"Villains? No way..." Eijirou said, trailing off as Aizawa released the scarf that was around his neck. "There's no way they could get into a hero school!"
"Sensei, what about the trespasser sensors?" Momo asked as she stepped forward in concern, looking at Thirteen for answers regarding this mishap.
"We have them, of course," Thirteen replied. "But..."
"Did they only appear here, or around the whole school?" Shoto said. "Either way, if the sensors are not responding that means they have someone with a Quirk that can do that. An isolated area separated from the main campus during a time when a class is supposed to be here. They might be fools, but they're not dumb. This surprise attack was carefully planned with some sort of goal in mind,"
"Thirteen, start the evacuation," Aizawa said as he stepped forward. "Try calling the school. These villains even had something to counteract the sensors. It's possible someone with radio-wave-type powers is interfering. Kaminari. You try contacting the school with your Quirk, too,"
"Yes sir," Denki replied.
"Kuroyanagi, take note of as many Quirks as you can," Aizawa ordered. Kimitsuki looked over at him quickly. "Convey them to the reinforcements – aid the class in case you were intercepted,"
"Yes, sir," Kimitsuki said quickly, bowing her head and turning to look at the hundreds of villains making their way toward them. She tried to ignore their movement and focused on their Quirks.
"What about you, sir?" Izuku asked. "Will you fight by yourself? With that many, even if you can erase their Quirks... Eraser Head's fighting style is capturing after erasing the enemy's Quirk. A frontal battle is..."
"You can't be a hero with just one trick," Aizawa responded. "I'm leaving it to you, Thirteen," He went jumping down the entire staircase to the main plaza centre to begin fighting the villains.
Even though Kimitsuki was asked to take in the Quirks of the villains, she couldn't help but watch in absolute awe as Aizawa attacked the villains, erasing their Quirks of at least three different individuals in one go before using his capture weapon to bind them down and then knock them out.
There was a lot Kimitsuki had to learn from Aizawa – being to hold onto more than one person in her Quirk, using that capture weapon to bind them and using her physical strength to knock them out.
Just then, a heteromorphic person tried to attack their homeroom teacher, but Aizawa proved that he wasn't a one-trick pony as he managed to punch the villain away with his physical prowess alone, and then snatched him back with his scarf, dodging other villains and taking them down with the first villain as he spun him around, slamming him into the others, knocking every single one out.
"Amazing," Izuku said from next to Kimitsuki. "Aizawa Sensei is actually good at fighting by himself against a lot of people... right, Tsuki-Chan?" Kimitsuki nodded.
"It's amazing, for sure..." Kimitsuki breathed, watching every single move made by Aizawa with painstaking attention. "I want to... be like that, too..."
"This is no time for analysis or awe!" Tenya called out to them from where he was retreating with others to the exit of the building. "Hurry up and take shelter! Kuroyanagi-Kun, have you taken in the Quirks? Hurry!"
Kimitsuki nodded slowly, her eyes still stuck on Aizawa as she forgot to even blink properly, but she was quickly yanked away by Tenya as he followed along with Izuku to where their classmates were. She quickly relayed the information she had gotten to Thirteen and her friends as quickly as possible. She turned to look ahead of them and her eyes widened when she saw another portal on the floor.
"I won't let you,"
One of the villains, Kurogiri appeared out from the portal, and Kimitsuki grimaced when he blocked their way out of the building. Thirteen stopped the students from running into the villain or portal.
"Nice to meet you," Kurogiri said. "We are the League of Villains. It may be presumptuous of us but we have invited ourselves in to the home of the heroes, U. A. High School in order to have All Might, the Symbol of Peace, take his last breath. I believe All Might should have been here. Has there been some kind of change? Well, that is neither here nor there. This is the part I am to play,"
Kimitsuki was outraged, staring at the man with sheer disbelief – she couldn't wrap her mind around this man's strange request to see All Might. She knew they wanted one thing – to kill All Might. She turned to look at Thirteen to inform her about her Quirk when her eyes fell upon Katsuki's body –
"Ka-Chan, no!" Kimitsuki exclaimed seconds before both Katsuki and Eijirou sprang into action, attacking the villain front of them causing a major blast.
Dust and smoke filled the entire area, and Kimitsuki was forced to recoil back as her vision was obstructed and she raised her arms up to defend her face, waving the smoke around to see what was going on. Her eyes quickly searched for Katsuki and Eijirou and was relieved to see them okay.
"Did you consider that you'd get beaten by us before you did it?!" Eijirou demanded rather smugly, and Kimitsuki wished they would step back from him.
"Oh dear, that's dangerous," Kurogiri said nonchalantly as he reconstructed his mist after the attack, much to their shock. "That's right. Even if you are students, you are excellent golden eggs,"
"This is bad!" Thirteen exclaimed. "Move away, you two!"
"My job is to scatter you all and torture you to death!" Kurogiri replied and raised his hand, and Kimitsuki hurried to get out of the way so she could still use her Quirk but he easily covered all of them with his the smoke.
With her vision obturated, Kimitsuki was at a loss as she tried to heighten up her senses. She knew that she believed in her eyes a bit too much and this is what she had to reap for it. Now, she finally understood why exactly Aizawa wanted her to learn how to use the capturing weapon. As much as Aizawa was impressed by her Quirk – it really was quite lame at the end of the day, huh?
Suddenly, Kimitsuki felt herself lift up from the ground and she flailed around to try and get out of the hold of whatever it was, but then she found herself being dropped, falling through a portal –
Kimitsuki's eyes widened and then narrowed when she saw the ground beneath her. She spun around to correct her bearings as she dropped onto her feet, and quickly whipped around to pull out her sword to defend herself against the villain that immediately attacked her with metallic arms.
"Not so fast," Kimitsuki breathed and her purple eyes flashed as she narrowed them at the man who was trying to attack her again. "On your knees," She activated Coercion.
The villain halted in his steps much to the surprise of his fellow villains and then dropped to his knees, collapsed as his eyes rolled back. Kimitsuki quickly glanced around to make sure there wasn't anyone behind her and moved back to cover her back with the wall, her sword raised in front of her.
"We're in the ruins, huh?" Kimitsuki breathed as she looked at the broken building that she was in with all these villains crawling out of rooms. "Am I on my own...? I wonder where everyone else is..."
"What are you muttering to yourself about, girlie?" said a villain as he rushed to attack her with his fists and Kimitsuki quickly dodged out of the way and kicked the other heading toward her.
"None of your business," Kimitsuki responded tensely, blinking quickly as her eyes dried up. "I see I'm surrounded by mutant and transformation Quirks... you're all here based on your Quirks compatibility with the zone, huh?"
"You're insightful, kid, but this is the end for you," said a female with overly muscular limbs as she and her friends rushed to attack Kimitsuki.
Kimitsuki ignored their words and rushed to meet them in the middle, using her Quirk to dodge and attack back with her sword or fire, trying to avoid using her Genjutsu lest she incapacitated herself before this battle was over. She needed to get done here and go out to help the rest of her friends.
Her thoughts were on the person with blue-ish grey hair, and she wondered how they knew U. A.'s schedule down to the teachers. She was sure they must've set up the media circus yesterday, too.
The intrusion must not have been by the media as Kimitsuki and many others had suspected but actually by this strange 'League of Villains'. They must've gotten out all the information they needed before they made their move to attack and possibly kill All Might. That was her deduction now.
And something told her that they must have a good idea how to fight All Might if they went this far. And she was also pretty sure that these villains wouldn't stand back from torturing them to death.
Where's Izu-Chan and Ka-Chan?
Kimitsuki pushed herself into the air and spun around to kick the villain heading toward her from the back with all of her strength, making him go smashing into the wall, causing a major dent in the already weak wall. She grimaced and turned to fight the rest, wanting to get over this quickly.
As one of the villains came running toward her with long pipes, Kimitsuki raised her sword to attack back – even when he was distracted by the wall behind her suddenly exploding. She dodged his pipes and hit the back of his head with the hilt of her sword to knock him out. She turned around –
Katsuki and Eijirou were standing there, having been the ones to break through the wall.
"How did you get here?" Katsuki asked furiously when he saw the white-haired girl fighting against villains on her own. "How long have you been here?"
"The same way and time you got here, Ka-Chan," Kimitsuki replied calmly, ducking her head to avoid a punch. Eijirou jumped ahead use his hardened fist to punch the villain away from her. "Thank you,"
"No problem, but you did a good score of these guys, Kuroyanagi-Chan," Eijirou said as he looked around at all the villains she had knocked out. "You're pretty cool!"
"Thank you, Kirishima-Kun," Kimitsuki said gratefully. She pulled out her eyedrops out to put them into her eyes, blinking slightly. "We need to get out of here and help others,"
"You idiots can go help; I'm going to beat up some villains!" Katsuki growled and ran out of there to seek the villains to fight. Kimitsuki shook her head at her childhood friend.
"He's strange but he means well," Kimitsuki said to Eijirou before rushing out of the place as well, causing Eijirou to jump and follow after the two of them, too.
Kimitsuki looked toward the direction Katsuki and Eijirou were running off to, the adjacent landslide zone where a lot of the villains were gathered. But she herself went rushing off to the direction of the central plaza, hoping to see All Might there – but she only found Aizawa there by himself.
The miniscule thugs were just standing around and Aizawa was now locked in a battle with the strange man she had run into the other day. Kimitsuki watched as Aizawa went running at him.
Aizawa lowered his upper body and jammed his elbow into Tomura's stomach, but before Kimitsuki could be impressed, she noticed that Tomura had somehow stopped Aizawa. What was his Quirk?
"It's hard to see because you keep moving around but there's an instant when your hair falls," Tomura said. "That's when you have finished an action. And the space in between has gotten shorter and shorter. Don't push yourself, Eraser Head,"
Eyes wide, Kimitsuki watched as Aizawa's elbow in Tomura's hold started to crumble. In response, Aizawa sent a punch at Tomura with his left hand and managed to get out of his hold.
"That Quirk isn't suited for fighting long fights against a large group, is it?" Tomura said as he watched Aizawa fight with the thugs. "Isn't this too different from your usual job? What you're good at is a short fight after a surprise attack, right? Even so, you jumped right in to fight us from the front. Was that to put your students at ease?"
Kimitsuki looked over when some thugs came rushing toward her direction and her eyes flashed darkly, sending all three of them onto their knees, and she grimaced at the vision she had shown them. She was losing control over her Quirk the more she used of it and she didn't want to kill.
Using the hilt of her sword, Kimitsuki quickly knocked them all out and turned to look back at Aizawa to see that he had exhausted his own visual Quirk from fighting so many villains on his own.
And that strange injury on his elbow wasn't doing any good to him with his physical prowess.
"You're so cool..." Tomura was taunting Aizawa gleefully. "You're so cool...! By the way, hero... I'm not the last boss," Aizawa looked up at him, shocked, and so did Kimitsuki.
The strange black creature standing back suddenly moved his gigantic hand forward and easily took Aizawa down, slamming his face into the ground, shattering his goggles and twisting his other arm horribly until he let out a pained yell. Kimitsuki tried to rush down there but was intercepted.
"Get out of the way!" Kimitsuki shouted as she rushed at them, taking one of them down with her eyes, the other with flames and the third with her sword.
"I'll tell you, Eraser Head," Tomura said. "He's the anti-Symbol of Peace, the bioengineered 'Nomu'," He stepped forward. "You can erase Quirks. That's wonderful, but it's nothing impressive. In the face of overwhelming power, you might as well be Quirkless,"
The Nomu raised Aizawa's head and slammed it back into the ground, turning Aizawa's face bloodier and bloodier. Kimitsuki couldn't even figure out what his Quirk was: it was a strange swirl of colours.
"Shigaraki Tomura," Kurogiri said as he appeared back next to them, and Kimitsuki's eyes widened, whipping around to look to the entrance to see if her friends were okay.
"Kurogiri, did you kill Thirteen?" Tomura inquired.
"I put Thirteen out of action," Kurogiri replied. "But there were students that I was unable to disperse and one of them was able to run away,"
"Huh?" Tomura said as he began to scratch his neck roughly. "Kurogiri... you! If you weren't a warp gate, I would have crushed you to pieces! We can't win against dozens of pros. It's game over. Man, it's game over this time. Let's go home,"
Kimitsuki grimaced when the Nomu picked up Aizawa once again to crush him down quickly, and she jumped over to where they were at the Central Plaza and slashed at the Nomu with her sword covered in black flames. She quickly extracted Aizawa away from the Nomu as the creature roared at the flames on its back but Kimitsuki was shocked to see that her flames weren't doing much to him.
The location where her flames were set alight kept reconstructing itself.
"Regeneration Quirk?" Kimitsuki breathed as she skidded back with Aizawa and set him down on the ground. "Sorry, Sensei, but I'll be taking these for a moment – I promise not to damage it,"
"Mushanokouji?" asked Aizawa but there was no response from the girl.
Aizawa glanced at the white-haired girl as she took his scarf and threw it around her neck as she turned to look at all the villains, holding onto the sword and the scarf as it levitated around her body much like Aizawa. She narrowed her glowing lilac eyes at them, keeping a look on their muscles –
"Your new opponent is me,"
? Chapter 18 ?
Kimitsuki wasn't as good with the scarf as Aizawa was, as she had only seen it being used, but she found it coming to her a bit easy as she recalled what Aizawa had done earlier with the villains and copied it move to move as she took down all the villains that were converged around them, but her eyes were constantly straying toward the Nomu – who was trying to put out the flames on his back.
"Weren't you going to leave?" Kimitsuki asked tensely as she turned to look at Tomura and Kurogiri once she was done knocking out all the villains. "Pro-Heroes are on their way here – you'll be cornered. I know you don't care for these thugs here. You just picked them up for distraction,"
"Oh, we've got a know-it-all here," Tomura said, and Kimitsuki glared at him. "So many optical Quirks these days, aren't there? I bet your eyes recall me, don't they?" Her body tensed up.
"Had I known that you would go this far..." Kimitsuki grunted as she kept her eyes on him closely.
"What would you have done?" Tomura asked, raising his hands. "Run to your Sensei to let him lend you his scarf? Run to the police about the bad man you saw on the street? I would've killed you,"
"If I recall correctly, that girl is Kuroyanagi Kimitsuki," Kurogiri spoke up. "She currently attends U. A. High as a student – and her Quirk allows her to use Black Flames and some sort of visual trance – like her mother. There are quite a few questions regarding her abilities as she killed her family as a kid,"
"Kuroyanagi Kimitsuki, huh?" Tomura said. "The girl who killed her family, and got praised by that trash of society, All Might," Kimitsuki glared at him. "I'm not surprised – you fight very well. Your Quirk is very interesting... it makes me want to own it. Why don't you come join me? You'll find a lot of people like yourself here," She knew what he was eluding to with that. "Starting with myself,"
"There's no way that I'm going to join you," Kimitsuki replied, holding onto the scarf tightly with one hand and sword with the other. "I'd rather die than go anywhere with villains,"
"That's unfortunate, I like you," Tomura responded, shrugging his shoulders without any concern. "There's a lot I want to learn about you – anyone who killed their parents is worthy of that interest," He turned to look at his bioengineered creature and ordered softly, "Nomu, get her,"
Although Kimitsuki saw the Nomu's muscles move as it rushed at her, she had not expected him to be so blindingly fast, especially with his bulky body. She tried to attack him but it was too late –
Kimitsuki was shocked as the Nomu's fist rammed into her stomach and she felt herself fly back, smashing into the ground. She groaned and tried to push herself back onto her shaking legs, feeling the blood trickling down from her head and along her neck. Before she could do anything further than that, she was suddenly grabbed off of the ground by her legs, hanging her upside down.
Struggling against the hold of the creature, Kimitsuki tried to put him on fire but he easily grabbed her arms, too. She felt light-headed as blood rushed to her head and she attempted to use her Genjutsu by making direct eye contact with the Nomu – but nothing happened to the beast.
Does he have... no conscious?
"Where's all your big talk now?" Tomura asked, and Kimitsuki moved her eyes to see him casually walking over to where she was hanging upside down. "Kuroyanagi – the one praised by All Might,"
"What do you want from me?" Kimitsuki questioned, trying to remain calm as she searched his face to look for his eyes but they were obstructed by the hand on his face and his long hair.
"I want you and your Quirk," Tomura replied without a worry, reaching over to run his hand through her ponytail. "Who are you, really? The clumsy, insistently apologetic girl from that day or this cold, calculating girl today? I want to know all about you. Where do you live? Who do you live with?"
"Let me go!" Kimitsuki grunted, struggling against the Nomu, who – on a signal from Tomura – suddenly squeezed its hand around her legs tightly, making her let out a loud cry of pain. "No!"
"If you don't listen to me, I'll break your legs and drag you along," Tomura told her harshly, pulling at her ponytail and making the tears spill out of her eyes. "See, that's what I like to see. Your tears,"
Kimitsuki couldn't fathom what he was talking and squeezed her eyes shut as he smeared her tears all over her face, chuckling happily. She jerked her head to get away from his hands when she was suddenly dropped onto the ground. Before she could get away from there, a foot pressed onto her.
"Don't think about running away," Tomura warned her, his foot pressing her head against the ground. "Make one move and I'll turn you and your friends into dust," He turned her face over.
Blinking through her tears, Kimitsuki's eyes widened when she realised that Izuku, Tsuyu and Minoru were all staring, equally wide-eyed, at her and her condition. She stopped all struggles when she realised what could happen to them if she tried to attempt an escape from Tomura's hold.
"You see what happens when heroes come to rescue?" Tomura asked. "They die," He reached down and grabbed her by her neck, hoisting her up and dragging her forward. "Let's go, Kurogiri. I've got something to play with and a bait to get All Might – imagine, having All Might die rescuing you,"
"If you're so certain that heroes who come to rescue die..." Kimitsuki breathed, uncharacteristic anger coursing through her body. "... then why the hell are you running away?"
"Let go of Tsuki-Chan!"
Kimitsuki looked up in surprise when she heard Izuku's shout, and was further shocked when she saw that he was rushing directly toward them, his fist raised to level with Tomura's face –
There was a loud blast and shockwaves flew from the punch. Kimitsuki expected herself to fly back from the force, too, but was surprised to see that even though the unconscious villains had flown back from the force, nothing had happened to her or Tomura. She whipped around to face Izuku.
But there was a huge black body obstructing her view toward her friend. And Kimitsuki realised that Izuku's punch had never reached Tomura – instead Nomu had taken in Izuku's attack.
"You move well," Tomura addressed Izuku. "Your 'Smash' – Are you a follower of All Might's? How nice. Are you here to rescue your friend? Just in time, I wanted to show her how rescue heroes die,"
The Nomu reached grab Izuku's arm and Kimitsuki saw red as she took advantage of Tomura's distraction, ramming her foot backwards into his gut. Tomura's hold on her diminished and Kimitsuki jumped ahead, blazing the Nomu with her Black Flames, grabbing Izuku and jumping back rapidly.
Pain was shooting through her head, ribs and legs, and Kimitsuki felt immensely heated up. She pushed Izuku aside continuously as the Nomu roared and trudged toward them angrily to attack.
There was a loud crash and Kimitsuki whipped around to see the entrance of the building smoking –
"It's fine now! I am here!"
Kimitsuki felt relief rush through her veins when she heard All Might's voice, but she also feared for his life as all the villains remaining standing turned to look at his direction, too. She snatched the sword and scarf off of the ground to defend herself and Izuku from the bioengineered Nomu.
"Oh, we're getting a 'Continue'..." Tomura said as he, too, turned to look where All Might was. "I've been waiting, hero. You trash of society,"
All Might walked to the edge of the stairs that led down to Central Plaza, glaring down at the villains with rather uncharacteristic anger as he ripped his tie off and threw his blazer away. Kimitsuki tried to look around to see if there were other Pro-Heroes with him and saw that there were none more.
"That's ... All Might?"
"It's my first time seeing him in person!"
"He looks so intimidating..."
"Idiots, don't hesitate! If we kill that, we'll –"
The villain's words were lost into the air as All Might moved with his superhuman speed to rush down the stairs and through the entire Central Plaza with a flash, taking out all the villains and extracting the unconscious Aizawa from the ground. Then, he moved once more and grabbed Kimitsuki, Izuku, Tsuyu and Minoru safely away from Tomura, Nomu and Kurogiri quickly.
"Everyone, go to the entrance," All Might said as he placed them all down, his eyes still on Tomura and Nomu. "I'm leaving Aizawa-Kun to you. He's unconscious, hurry!"
"All Might!" Kimitsuki breathed as she turned to look him but her eyes fell on Tomura and saw that the hand he had attached on his face had dropped onto the ground.
"It's no good... It's no good... I-It's no good... It's no good..." Tomura muttered, grabbing his face. "I-I'm sorry, Father... He hit me as he was saving them... It's the violence of a government official ... He's fast, as expected. I can't follow him with my eyes. But not as fast as I thought he'd be,"
"All Might," Kimitsuki repeated as she looked up at the Pro-Hero. "You have to be careful, that huge creature – Nomu – he has several different powers – shock absorption and –"
"All Might, you can't!" Izuku added quickly. "That brain villain took One Fo – He took a punch that didn't break my arm, but he didn't even twitch. He's gotta be –"
"Young Kuroyanagi and Young Midoriya," Toshinori said as he turned to look at them. "It's fine!" He gave the two a thumbs-up that didn't fully satisfy them.
Hesitating, Kimitsuki and Izuku looked at each other before rushing to help Tsuyu and Minoru in taking their knocked-out and injured homeroom teacher toward the stairs. While the two males carried Aizawa, Kimitsuki used his scarf to take down the villains heading their way to intercept them, aided carefully by Tsuyu. Kimitsuki was grateful for the help – her whole body was aching.
There was a loud explosive sound and Kimitsuki looked over her shoulder to see All Might fighting against Tomura and the Nomu. The bioengineered creature, however, had absorbed All Might's attack. Still, All Might went on to fight as he flipped Nomu over him and head-first into the ground.
"How did he make a suplex look like an explosion?!" Minoru exclaimed as they all stared at what was going on behind them. "All Might's on a whole another level!"
"Even though he's a rookie teacher who can't teach without looking at his notes," Tsuyu added in agreement, looking over curiously as well.
"Get 'em!" Minoru shouted. "Aim for the balls!"
"Were we overthinking it?" Tsuyu said. "He's amazing,"
Kimitsuki was still tense as she watched the dust settle and her eyes widened when she saw the position All Might and the Nomu were in. All Might had used his suplex, for sure, but Kurogiri had used his warp gate right in time to save Nomu. Instead of smashing Nomu into the ground, the creature's upper body went through the gate and appeared from the other side to reverse and grab onto All Might.
"Were you trying to keep him from moving by sticking him deep in the concrete?" Tomura said. "You won't be able to stop him like that. Because Nomu is as strong as you are. This is good, Kurogiri. It's an unexpected opportunity,"
"This is your first offense?" All Might said as he let go of Nomu's body and tried to free himself from the creature's hold. "You better prepare yourselves...!"
"Kurogiri," Tomura said as he began to scratch his neck again roughly.
"I do not want blood and guts overflowing within me," Kurogiri said. "But I would be happy to take in someone as great as you. You are too fast to see with the human eye. Restraining you was Nomu's job. And then, when your body is halfway in, to close the gate... and tear you apart is my job,"
"Asui-San," Izuku said, catching the green-haired girl's attention. "Trade places with me carrying Aizawa Sensei," Tsuyu looked curiously at him but did as he asked.
Kimitsuki didn't miss a beat and went running after Izuku, reaching his pace rather quickly with her long legs, the adrenaline covering the pain in her body. She looked up as Kurogiri moved quickly –
"How foolish,"
Kurogiri raised his hand to create a portal to send them off to another location but Kimitsuki reached out and grabbed Izuku's arm, pulling him out of the way. He looked over to see her Quirk activated. It was obvious that she had anticipated a move but Izuku knew that her reaction time was lessening.
But neither of them had to worry about that for long as Katsuki appeared out of seemingly nowhere, blasting Kurogiri with his Explosive Quirk and pinned him down. Kimitsuki looked at him, surprised.
Right behind him was Shoto, who used his Ice Quirk on the Nomu's body and releasing All Might from its hold as the Pro-Hero used his strength to pry the slackened hold on his body off of him.
"Damn it!" Eijirou said as he tried to sneak attack on Tomura, but the villain somehow managed to avoid it. "I didn't get to show off!"
"Stop acting so stuck-up, foggy nobody!" Katsuki grunted.
"Now is not the time, Ka-Chan," Kimitsuki muttered as she glanced at her childhood friend. Katsuki turned to retort but stopped when he saw her beaten and bloodied appearance.
"The Symbol of Peace cannot be killed by the likes of you," Shoto said to the three villains.
"Ka-Chan!" Izuku said with teary eyes as he looked at them all. "Everyone!" He stopped when he saw how he realised how tense the situation had gotten around them, even with them arriving to help.
"Kurogiri our exit and entrance, has been overcome," Tomura said calmly, looking at Kurogiri who was pinned under Katsuki. "We're in a pinch,"
"You careless bastard," Katsuki responded smugly. "You're just what I thought you'd be. Only certain parts of you can turn into a misty warp gate. The fog gate covered your actual body, right? Back then... If you were completely made of mist and physical attacks couldn't touch you, then you wouldn't have said 'that's dangerous',"
As Kurogiri tried to push himself back up, Katsuki used his explosion into the neck armour around the villain's face. That put a quick stop to the Warp Gate villain and Kimitsuki noticed something –
The Quirk inside Kurogiri's body, which was dark purple in colour, flicker in several different colours.
Is he a Nomu-like creature as well?
"Don't move!" Katsuki shouted down at the man beneath his body, leaning down on him. "If I feel like you're moving suspiciously, then I'll blow you up!"
"His behaviour isn't very hero-like..." Eijirou remarked, sweat-dropping.
"Ka-Chan's a bit strange but at the end of the day, he means well," Kimitsuki replied quickly, giving him a quick and awkward smile. "He gets a bit excited sometimes,"
"In addition to capturing them, they're almost all uninjured," Tomura muttered. "Kids these days are amazing. They make the League of Villains look bad," He looked at his creature again, "Nomu,"
Kimitsuki, Izuku, Katsuki, Shoto and Eijirou all turned around to stare at the bioengineered creature as it started to pull out of the warp gate portal. It shattered its right arm and leg as it did so but much to their shock, the Nomu continued to move around, trying to get back onto its other foot.
"Even though his body's broken..." Izuku whispered. "He's still moving?!"
"He can regenerate," Kimitsuki breathed from next to him. "Injuries – he fixes himself,"
"Get back, everyone!" All Might ordered as they watched the Nomu really do go ahead and reconstruct itself back to his two feet and arms. "What? His Quirk wasn't shock absorption?"
"I didn't say that was all he had," Tomura replied in gleeful excitement. "You would've listened to your little protégé Kuroyanagi. This is his Super-Regeneration. Nomu has been modified to take you at 100%. He's a super-efficient human sandbag. First, we need to get our gate back. Go, Nomu!"
With her Quirk still activated, Kimitsuki saw the Nomu use its super speed seconds before it actually did, and her eyes widened in fear when she realised who exactly it was heading toward – Katsuki.
"Ka-Chan!" Kimitsuki shouted as she rushed toward him with all of her strength, the pain in her legs amplifying with every step. Her eyes were still upon the Nomu.
"Tsuki-Chan! Ka-Chan!"
Kimitsuki reached Katsuki several seconds ahead of the Nomu but she had barely moved in front of her friend when Katsuki was thrown into her arms and she was pushed out of the way. Both Kimitsuki and Katsuki went sprawling onto the ground next to where Izuku, Shoto and Eijirou were.
"T-Tsuski-Chan! Ka-Chan!" Izuku shouted as he managed to dodge with the others and turned to see his two friends not far from him, safe and in one piece. "Ka-Chan?! Y-You dodged?! That's amazing!"
"No, shut up, scum!" Katsaki snapped back, pushing Kimitsuki's arms away from his body. "You're too hot! Let go!" She frowned and removed her hands away, but she was not much bothered by his behaviour right now.
"But – Kuroyanagi-Chan went to help you..." Eijirou asked, confused as to how they got out of there and who took the hit from the Nomu. "Then that was..."
"All Might!" Kimitsuki gasped.
The smoke settled and the five students watched as it revealed that it really was All Might who had taken the full, whole brunt of the attack by the Nomu, having pushed Katsuki and his human shield Kimitsuki out of the way before either of them could get hurt from the superhuman punch.
"Do you not know how to hold back?" All Might said to the villains.
"It was to rescue my companions," Tomura responded. "I had no choice. I mean, earlier, that pretty girl taunted me for no reason and attacked me. And then that plain-looking one was about to punch me with everything he had just because I wanted to hang out with his friend," He motioned toward Kimitsuki and Izuku. "Violence for the sake of others makes it admirable. Isn't that right, hero?"
Katsuki, Shoto and Eijirou all glanced at the two childhood friends, who were silent as they stood.
"You know what, All Might?" Tomura said loudly. "I'm angry. I'm angry at this world that categorises the same violent acts as heroic or villainous deciding what's good and what's bad! What with this 'Symbol of Peace'? You're just a device to repress violence. Violence only breeds violence. The world will know this, once we kill you!"
"That's preposterous," All Might responded. "The eyes of white-collar criminals like you burn silently. You just want to enjoy this yourself, don't you, you liar?!"
"It's three against six," Shoto said to the four students standing there with him. Kimitsuki glanced over at him, knowing what he wanted to try out.
"Ka-Chan already exposed the fog's weakness!" Izuku added. "We have Tsuki-Chan to tell us about any strange moves he has up his sleeves!"
"These guys are crazy, but if we backup All Might, we can push them back!" Eijirou agreed, lifting up his fists as they looked at their enemies.
"No!" All Might told them as he returned in front of the girl and the four boys. "Run away,"
"You would have been in trouble if I hadn't done anything earlier, right?" Shoto said.
"That was a different story, Young Todoroki," All Might replied. "Thanks," He lifted his arm. "But it's fine! Just watch as a pro gives it everything he's got,"
"But All Might!" Kimitsuki insisted, remembering the injury he had shown and his time-limit. "You can't fight on your own! They've designed the creature to counter you!"
But All Might only gave her a thumbs-up.
"Nomu, Kurogiri," Tomura said. "Get him. I'll deal with the children," He turned to face his body directly toward Kimitsuki. "Now, let's clear this and go home... with an interesting new present,"
