Damn guys...it's been a while! With all the atrocities going on in the world, it's been hard to write - I felt guilty even trying. If you know, you know. From the rive to the sea... I've decided to revisit this story, sorry in advance for any spelling errors.

"You are insufferable," Neji laughed, downing his fourth shot.
"You're one to talk!" Tenten shouted. She was on her sixth.
Both Neji and Tenten had become a spectacle, the banter along with the obvious sexual tension had the bar betting against them.
Neji was long gone, having drank three pints of beer prior to his shots, the man was definitely feeling himself. Tenten had surpassed his shots but soon found herself just as drunk. She eyed another on the flight and saw him shake his head.
"This one is mine, Ten," Neji said, slapping her hand away.
"Like hell it is!" she slapped him back and down her seventh, earning a laugh from Neji.
Tenten stared, admiring his smiling face. Whatever had happened earlier that day had clearly been forgotten by Neji. She liked him like this. Carefree, funny, silly, she could feel his humanity for the first time in her life.
"I like you like this," she blurted out, blushing as she realized her words.
Neji stopped and looked at her closely, clearly taken aback from her straightforwardness.
"Like what?" he said, cocking his head to the side.
"Drunk," she chuckled, reaching for another shot to mask her embarrassment.
"You don't have to take another one if you don't want to," he said softly, capturing her hand in his.
Neji didn't know why he reached for her, at this point his body was acting alone. She was doing something to him and his instincts seemed to be controlling his movements.
"And let you win?" she teased, internally screaming inside. The touch of his hand had sent a jolt of lighting up her spine. Her body seemed to be moving on its own, she was feeling things that she didn't know if she could hold back any longer.
"You've long surpassed me, Tenten," he murmured again. Neji's heart raced as she watched her squirm.
"A-are you warm? I'm pretty warm," she stammered. Tenten stood up and looked at the side exit of the bar, "I'm gonna get some air quick! Don't take another one without me!"
Neji frowned. The last thing he meant was to make her uncomfortable, he simply didn't want her to get sick on his behalf. Just because he had failed today didn't mean she had to sabotage herself. Neji got up and followed her out to the alley.
Tenten let out a huge breath she didn't know she was holding. The brick felt cool against her back as she leaned on it. Neji's behavior had been confusing as well as thrilling. She cursed her body for being so open to his touch. There was no way in hell she was going to submit to him. She was pretty sure Neji wasn't even aware of his antics. The man was too drunk and happy to pay attention.
"Tenten," Neji called out.
She peered over to see him exit the door to the alley. He made his way to her and leaned on the wall beside her.
"I'm sorry," he said, crossing his arms in front of his chest.
"For what?" she asked, tilting her head to face him.
"For making you uncomfortable," he said again, staring off towards the opposite wall. She chuckled next to him and shook her head. "So now he was aware."
"You think too much," she teased, "It was just hot in there," there was no way she would admit to the tension between them.
He turned his head and frowned, "I hate when you do that."
Tenten raised her eyebrows at his comment.
"You lie or brush off tension because it's uncomfortable."
"You are really quick to judge, Hyuga," she said, offended, "I'm sure our altercation was not 'brushed off' this morning, since when do I not like confrontation?"
"Like right now," he said back, leaning into her space.
Time stopped as they stared at each other. It was so quiet they could hear each other's heartbeat. Both sported looks of determination, neither intending to back down. Yet the longer they stared, the faster the tension returned. The liquor they had consumed seemed to light a fire inside them and it was only seconds until the inevitable happened.
Neji and Tenten leaned forward and kissed each other. And fuck did it feel good.
The kiss grew heavy as Neji caged her against the wall. His lips tasting her, his tongue exploring her mouth. It was the most electric kiss he had ever had.
She mewled below him, wrapping her arms around his neck, trapping her fingers in his hair and her mouth was devoured. Tenten bucked into his waist as his mouth traveled down to her neck, letting out small moans as well.
"Neji," she breathed, running a hand down his back and towards his pants. She pulled him by the belt loop earning a growl from his lips.
"Tenten," He groaned, sucking hard on her neck with fever. His lips traveled down to her clavicle, tasting the soft flesh of skin. Her hands had begun to unbutton her blouse and soon her bra and breasts were exposed. Neji's mouth dove to her mounds, a hand reaching to pull her bra haphazardly below them.
His tongue flicked and sucked on her hardened peeks and all Tenten could do was cry out in pleasure from his assault.
"You drive me crazy," he growled, leaving red marks over her breasts.
All she could do was pant and whine. The tension had finally snapped and both had let out their hunger. Neji made his way back to her mouth and began kissing her hard. One hand on her breast, the other in her hair - he was truly insatiable.
Minutes passed and they continued their assault until they heard a whistle from the door.
"Don't stop because of me!" a junior agent laughed, "Hey Moegi, you owe me twenty bucks!" From the sound of his voice, Tenten knew that it must have been Konohamaru. FUCK!
Tenten pushed Neji off of her and started fixing her bra and shirt. FUCK, FUCK, FUCK! WHAT WAS SHE THINKING?! Feelings of embarrassment, anger, and shame started muddling her mind. She cursed quietly to herself as she tried to hastily button her shirt back together, mad at herself that the alcohol had affected her motor skills.
Neji felt like time was moving in slow mode, he could see Tenten shake as she tried to put herself together. He could see the anger seething from her body … as well as embarrassment.
"Ten-"
"Shut it, Neji." she said curtly.
"Tenten-"
"Tenten what? What now Hyuga?" she spit out. She tried to straighten her blouse as best she could and then began remaking her signature buns, "There's nothing to say, we're drunk, it's late, and this never happened!"
"What the fuck are you talking about? We got caught - stop acting like a sixteen year old baby - we're both adults for Christ's sake," Neji spat back.
"Ok butt-boy, now what, you're gonna take me home?" She dared. Neji was caught off guard.
"Exactly Neji," she walked up to him, her eyes seething into his, "This never happened, you know why? Because we work together, we hate each other, and because I will not allow this to fuck up my career." Tenten closed her eyes and steadied herself. She looked up and saw Neji silently watching her, waiting for her, for what she wasn't sure, "I will not allow this to ruin my reputation at the bureau."
"This isn't just about your reputation Tenten!" Neji huffed.
"Godammit Neji, it is!" shoving him angrily, "you get a high-five, I get a wink with a pervy one-liner. You're so-so SIMPLE minded!" She yelled. She turned around too quickly and teetered a bit as she walked towards the bar exit, clearly still drunk. Neji followed as best he could, also feeling the effects of the alcohol.
The bar was packed when they entered - new faces for the most part, although the annoying junior agents still lingered around. Tenten made her way over to her barstool but saw a group of drunk businessmen laughing at the bar.
"I got your stuff behind the bar sweetheart!" Ito yelled, he was a lifesaver. Swiftly she walked around the bar and grabbed her belongings, left a generous tip, and beelined for the entrance.
"Hey Tenten! Got room for another round?" She heard a drunk Konohamaru yell. Fuck that little brat. Before she could rock him, Moegi punched his arm and grabbed his ear, surely scolding him. But alas, it was too late, that little twerp had probably told the whole bar what had happened. She flipped him off as she walked out the front.
There was no way she would be able to drive herself home, so uber it was. Hastily, she tried to find her phone in her purse, cursing at herself for dragging this horrible night even longer.
"I got it," she heard from behind. Neji.
"It's fine Hyuga," she said grumply, searching her purse like a maniac. All she heard back was a "hmpf".
Just then a shiny black SUV pulled up in front of them, along with a chauffeur opening the back door.
"It's yours, get home safe and drink some water," Neji said curtly.
"You're kidding."
"Get in and go home," he repeated himself.
"Fuck you Hyuga," Tenten repsonded. She let out a sigh and got in, she owed him now. Before the car drove off, she rolled down her window and looked at him, "Thank you Neji." The car drove off before he could say anything else.
