Chapter 9: Lisanna

[Previously:]

Freezing, I growled viciously at being interrupted… Even if it WAS my human-side's doing. However it startled Lucy in the process as she flinched away and fell back on her butt, thinking she did something wrong like the book said. Eye widening, I swiftly got off the bed and kneeled down to see if she was alright, "Lucy, are you—", before I could continue, Lucy reflexively crawled back. 'LOOK AT WHAT YOU DID! Our growling scared her… Y-You made Lucy scared of me,' I could feel my human-side deflate—Filled with hurt and sadness… Suddenly, I felt something wet touch my cheek as I reached up to touch it. 'Am I crying? Is this what the human-side's doing…?'

All of a sudden it felt like I couldn't control myself anymore, struggling to even lift a finger—'I've had it with this fuckin' season! I need to see Lucy with ME in control, I need to comfort and reassure her that I'll never hurt her… If you're not going to let me have control… I'LL TAKE IT BACK!' Everything went black.

(Lucy POV.)

Natsu was close to kissing me until his forest-green eyes darkened slightly, growling as if I was an enemy. While I wasn't scared Natsu would physically hurt me, it did cause a startle to flinch back and fall off the bed once more, landing on my butt.

My ass hurt from the impact, but I soon forgot about the pain when Natsu landed right in front of me in a crouched position, "Lucy are you—" Unconsciously, I flinched and crawled away when seeing the slight talons reaching out to me. Natsu looked completely shocked, eyes dulling as if he was deep in thought… A tear rolled down his cheek, Natsu wiping it and staring at the wetness in surprise. I watched in confusion, seeing his eyes fade off into onyx colours and back to green. 'Is Natsu trying to fight for control from his inner dragon?'

The pink-haired dragon slayer soon hissed, throwing a fit as if he had a headache before dropping to the floor—My eyes widened, the first thought was thinking he died of some rejection and tears started to form until Natsu let out a groan. Twitching on the floor, he shook his head and stumbled up, eyes now black but holding a mixture of emotions. "L-Luce…" Natsu groaned, a little in pain, but it was him… His own voice, rather than his inner dragons.

"N-Natsu? Is that you or…?" I questioned, eyebrow raising and inching closer as he sat up and rubbed his head. The dragon features never left, but the toothy grin was unmistakable… Natsu's inner dragon never gave those. "Who else would it be, weirdo?"

Brightening, I couldn't help but lunge and tackle him to the ground, "Natsu! H-How did you…?"

Natsu rubbed his neck, an action he does when nervous, "Well, I saw my inner-dragon about to kiss you and I know they're part of me, but I stopped him… I… I saw the look in your eye. It was fear, you were scared that I'd hurt you and I didn't want my Lucy to ever believe that I'd hurt her—So I tried to gain control, even if it's just for a little bit." Blushing at the "My Lucy" part, I softened to see Natsu deflate at the thought. Sighing, I wrapped my arms around his neck and buried my face in his scaled scarf that Igneel gave him, "I'm sorry that I made you think I was scared of you Natsu because no matter what you become… You'll always be the same Natsu that will come to save me."

Natsu's grip tightened, smiling, but his eyes dulled as if remembering a certain memory—Shaking his head, I gazed into his eyes to see all sorts of emotion but the one that caught my attention the most was the pain that was seen. "Natsu… Does it… Does it hurt you, trying to stay in control?" Natsu's eyes softened, telling a tale as if he wanted to lie but couldn't so he didn't say a word.

Frowning, I stared as Natsu started getting anxious… Thinking a Lucy-Kick was coming, only for his eyes to widen in surprise as I swiftly pressed my lips to his. Despite being taken off-guard, Natsu didn't hesitate to kiss back—For my first kiss, it wasn't awkward, our lips moving in sync against one another, and I didn't move away this time when Natsu growled. Pulling away as Natsu was in a gaze, I rested my forehead upon him with my eyes closed, slightly breathless, "I don't know how to explain it, but I can feel you in pain… It's okay to relax throughout the season, I'll be fine. I promise—It doesn't matter what part of you comes to life, I'll follow to the end because remember? It's more fun when we're together."

Natsu sighed before nodding, determination swirling in his eyes, "I'll protect you… No matter from what or who, even if it's myself."

"I know Natsu," I smiled, kissing his lips one last time before shuffling off him as Natsu let his inner-dragon gain control—finally accepting the mating season, it was like a part of their souls combined between human and dragon, Natsu's eyes snapping open. This time they didn't look as feral and wild, but they did change back to green. Blinking a few times, it was like Natsu was confused before eyes widening and scrambling up until landing on me, "Luce! I'm so sorry about earlier, I never meant—" Rambling on, he didn't notice when I got closer until I pulled him into a hug and brushed my fingers through his salmon-coloured hair, careful of the horns. Immediately, Natsu stopped and returned the affection, a purr rumbling from him as he nuzzled into my neck and softly nipping the mating mark.

Taking a sharp in-take of air, I blushed a deep red, "A-Alright. Well, I'm going to take a shower and—No! Get that grin off your face, you are staying out here!" Flicking Natsu's nose, a pout formed when I realized what he was thinking. Although he waited outside the bathroom door like a puppy while I took a shower and brushed my teeth… Feeling better and refreshed, especially with the new clothes instead of only wearing a t-shirt—When I was finished, I made Natsu do his bathroom necessities too, despite his protest. Though he was all too eager to head towards the kitchen when food was mentioned.

No one was around the house, assuming they were still asleep as silence greeted me. Quietly as possible, I worked on making a breakfast feast. I kept having to constantly slap Natsu's hand away as he drooled over the smell of food—I was making the usual eggs, toast, bacon, sausage, pancakes, waffles… Everything you'd normally see during Christmas morning rather than an everyday thing. Yet with the dragon slayer's appetite, every day was like thanksgiving.

Speaking of the dragon slayers… Laxus and Gajeel started coming downstairs, smelling food while their mates were known over their shoulder, screaming to be put down. "Good morning guys," I greeted them, nodding as I set the plates down on the counter for each of them. "Morning Lucy—Lu-can!" Mirajane and Levy said at the same time, finally being put down as they took a seat. "I made breakfast, so what do you guys want? I have…"

As I listed all the choices, I giggled when the two put on thinking faces—Mira the first one to decide, "I'll have eggs, two pieces of bacon, toast, and one pancake." Nodding, I prepared her plate as the three dragon slayers eyed my actions before pouting when realizing the food wasn't theirs. "Lu-chan, I'll have two waffles, sausage, three pieces of bacon, and toast!" Levy stated, as I got her plate together… When I finished serving, myself included, I grabbed the syrup and offered it between Mirajane and Levy for their waffles and pancakes.

Thanking me, I then faced the dragon slayers as they were pouting but drooling at the same time. "Okay, the rest of the breakfast are for—" I wasn't able to finish my sentence until the three raced to where the food was as fighting began. Shaking my head, I was about to eat until hearing an unusual crunch, turning to see Gajeel not touching the food but rather eating the pan and utensils. Raising an eyebrow, I sighed… Iron dragon slayers.

"Hey Mira, Levy-chan… Do you think the guild is okay?" I questioned, seeing their faces twist in worry. "I honestly don't know…" Levy mumbled. "I'm sure they're alright—They're Fairy Tail mages after all!" Mirajane beamed, as I frowned in thought… "D-Do you think they'll try to come after us? I mean… What if Natsu, Gajeel, and Laxus see them as a threat again? They won't hesitate to tear them to shreds." We all were in deep thought, trying to think positively and finishing off breakfast.

[The Guild:]

(Normal POV.)

A month and a half passed since the guild was attacked and the girls were "kidnapped" by the male dragon slayers—Everyone was depressed… especially team Natsu and the Exceeds. The sixth mages sat together in the corner of the guild, blaming themselves and sulking. In fact, the whole guild tried to drink their problems away but for some reason, no one has seen Kinana recently to work the bar.

It didn't help either that their strongest mages were out of commission, dampening the mood as Erza refused to eat strawberry cake. Gray doesn't strip, or Juvia's attempts at comforting him by clinging—Sometimes you could hear soft cries coming from the youngest dragon slayer. While Happy doesn't eat fish or try to win Carla's love anymore, occasionally leaving to curl up into a ball at Lucy's apartment. Panther Lily won't eat kiwis, and he hasn't touched his sword ever since Gajeel took Levy, believing not to be worthy of it anymore since he couldn't save her when Gajeel and him trained so much. Carla, now, tries to comfort and talk to Happy, only to be ignored and goes to Wendy in a sulking manner.

But there is one guild member that isn't saddened, but quite the opposite… She's angry. Seeking out revenge and destruction, planning to get what's "hers" back—And that person is named Lisanna Strauss.

(Lisanna POV.)

'That blonde-bitch… She thinks that she can get away from stealing MY Natsu from me. Wendy doesn't even know what she's talking about, that little girl with all her abilities can't even enhance her flat-chest! I know Natsu loves and wants me as his mate, he just got confused when attacking the guild… Don't worry, you'll be in my arms soon enough and that bimbo won't even live to regret it—Now, I just need to think of a plan to get rid of Lucy… Maybe I should sneak into Master's office and try to find the location where they are, he must know!'

A plan in mind, I get up from the bar—Thankfully everyone was busy in their own heads to notice me walking out the guild doors. Smiling to look innocent, I snuck behind the guild to see that on the second floor a window was open to Master Makarov's office.

"Take-Over! Animal Soul: Harpy!"

Harpy ears fluffed out as well; Half my body turned into bird-like legs, while my arms turned into wings, giving me the ability to quietly fly up to the window and land safely inside. Transforming back to normal, I headed towards Master's desk. There were papers scattered everywhere, looking at them more closely, I giggled when realizing what they were.

"Team Natsu Destroys An Entire Forest: Nearby villagers stated, a third part was burning, another was covered in ice, and the rest of the trees were cut down, but what really brought confusion was the sudden tsunami that wiped the forest AND town! The Magic Council only had this to say; Makarov better get his pocketbook out because he'll be paying for the destruction those brats caused!"

Multiple bills crumbled up around the newspaper. Smiling to myself, 'Yep, that's my Natsu alright… always causing trouble. I can't wait until I save him from that blondie!' I started to open each drawer.

The first drawer contained nothing but magical pens, stables, and paper clips. While another was more bills and angry letters from the Magical Council.

It was then I noticed a lock on the bottom-left drawer. Grabbing a paperclip to try and unlock it… This was it. I'm gonna find my Natsu! Slowly, I opened the drawer in excitement to reveal—

.

.

.

.

SORCERER WEEKLY MAGAZINES?! …AND THEY'RE ALL GIRLS IN SWIMSUITS, AS WELL JENNY FROM BLUE PEGASUS NAKED!

Quickly, I closed the drawer as my face turned red from what I saw, 'O-Okay… Moving on.' Opening the right-side of the drawer, inside there was a map leading somewhere in Fiore's forest with our Fairy Tail mark stamped in a certain area. 'Yes! Here it is! This will take me to my love,' My excitement was short lived, footsteps heard outside the office door as the knob began to turn.

Before it could open all the way, I snapped the map and quietly closed the drawer. I was about to jump out the window, only to trip.

"KYYAAAAA!"

Falling face first into a rose bush that was just under the window, I held in a scream of pain as the thorns pricked and branches scratched me. All I heard above was a lacrima turning on, so while the Master was distracted I silently hissed and snuck out the bushes before running home with the map rolled up in my hands.

Slamming my bedroom door and locking it, I glanced around my salmon-coloured room—There was a Natsu body pillow laid on my queen-sized bed. In fact, there was a whole wall that specifically had pictures of my Natsu, while in my closet there was even a wedding dress secretly hidden for when Natsu and I got married! The thought practically gave me heart eyes.

Throwing the map on the bed, I grabbed my bag off the dresser and emptied it out. Packing the things I'll need, doing a checklist:

Map – Check

Jacket – Check

Compass – Check

Picklock – Check

'I'm missing something—OH!' Walking to my nightstand, I opened the drawer that's there… Pulling out a dagger and small pistol. Putting the gun in the bag, I hid the dagger in my boots… Now ready to go kill Lucy and get the love of my life.

I made sure Elfman didn't see me leave the house and it's only when I'm at Magnolia's forest edge do I make a run for it, entering without people seeing me. Once inside the forest, I start tracking with the map and compass… Heading in the direction where I think is right.

{6 Hours Later}

'Ugh… I've been walking for hours and now it's dark!' Stomping in frustration, I froze when feeling a huge magical force near a dark cave. Brightening up, I didn't hesitate to head inside—There at the end was a house and I was sure that the dragon slayers took them here! So it must be where Natsu is! All the lights were off, and it was quiet… Which wasn't surprising given that I spent half a day roaming the forest ground.

Putting the map and compass away, I got out the picklock and quietly as possible unlocked the front door—I'm surprised this place didn't have any alarms. The house was too dark, almost tripping over a few things and bumping into the wall. When finding the stairs, I headed up on my tippy-toes to not make a sound or creak.

Seeing that there were three doors, my instincts told me to go with the red one. Opening it to see the moonlight shining through the window, covering the two lumps on the bed with a soft glow.

I head over to the bed and suddenly I'm filled with rage when I see MY Natsu and that slut sleeping next to each other. My poor Natsu's face was buried into her neck and hair, senses probably overwhelmed with her awful scent and not being able to breathe properly! Gritting my teeth, I didn't watch my footing as I accidentally stepped on a creaking spot… Natsu's ears twitching that had me stopping and holding my breath until he relaxed.

Grabbing the dagger from my boot, I clutched it tightly in my grasp and went to Lucy's side of the bed, "You won't have Natsu you bitch," I whispered heatedly, raising the knife when all of a sudden, Natsu tensed with a low growl and pulling Lucy closer in his sleep. "That's it!" I shouted louder than intended, waking Lucy up as her eyes snapped open wide to see a dagger coming for her. Screaming, Lucy instinctively raised her hands in defense to shield herself. Although what I didn't expect was for fire to come flying at me, knocking me across the room and into the wall… The dagger falling to the carpet with a thump.

Staring wide-eyed, forgetting for a moment about the agonizing pain from the brutal impact, Lucy seemed just as surprised, but fear still showed. Her eyes were in disbelief, "Lisanna…" Lucy muttered. Smirking, I got up and dusted myself off, picking up the dagger in the process and swiftly running toward her with it. Lucy shrieked, scrambling for her keys on the nightstand but before I could get to her, I was pushed even harder and thrown back into a dresser. Hissing, I looked up to see Natsu growling viciously, looking like a dragon…

His canines were sharper, blood-red wings extended, and a dragon tail forming… Body on fire. "Natsu!" Forgetting what he looked like and the pain, I rushed to him with open arms, expecting him to fall into my arms. "I missed you so much! I'm here to save you from that blonde bit—" I wasn't able to finish, cut off when Natsu didn't hesitate to punch me in the stomach. Sending me tumbling to the ground and rolling to the other side of the room from the shear force. A shocked gasp escaped me from the oxygen leaving my lungs.

A demonic-deep voice echoed in the room, oddly calm and driving chills up my spine, "You come near MY Lucy again, I'll rip you to shreds… Hurt her in any way and you'll have me to deal with. Ever heard you shouldn't mess with a dragon's mate, or you'll never live to see the next day." Glancing up, I saw Lucy run to the bathroom and lock herself in, Natsu snarling with a glare at me. Nodding, I slowly stumbled to my feet and sneakily pulled out the gun in the bag, "O-Okay… I'll stop. I promise… After she's dead!" Pointing the gun toward the bathroom, I shot a couple of times—No sound, or a peep coming from it as I laughed darkly and dropped the smoking gun on the carpet.

Turning back to face Natsu, I gulped hard to see his flames increased in size and heat that things around the room started to melt. His eyes held a killer glint, and both his fists were tightly clenched… Natsu's growl sounded more of a feral animal, and he let out a dragon-like roar that made my ears bleed before charging at me, flaming fist raised.

"Fuck…"
