AN: this chapter was inspired by the recently released movie "The Marvels" but there aren't any major spoilers for the movie here! Also light spoilers for "Ashoka" just to be safe!

At the Xandar Outreach Building in Epcot, Gabriel and Lena were hanging out with Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, to see what the Xandarians had to share about their culture. "It's so cool that you can see what life on another planet is like!" Kamala squeed in delight.

"Didn't you just recently have a space adventure of your own?" Lena chuckled.

"I mean, yeah, but I was more focused on saving the world than getting to enjoy the different planets we went too," Kamala replied.

"I enjoyed the movie at least," Gabriel said. "I do have to ask, though: why did you invite me here, Lena? I enjoy hanging out with you, but I didn't expect you to be friends with Ms. Marvel."

"Well Kamala is friends with one of my friends, so we just started hanging out sometimes," Lena explained. "Actually, our mutual friend should be around here somewhere…"

"Lena, Kamala! Over here!" a voice called. The gang turned to see a girl in Goth clothing walking alongside a familiar otter.

"Hey Nico, what's up?" Lena greeted, giving the girl a high five. "Gabriel, this is Nico Minoru, or Sister Grimm if you want to use her code name."

"I'm familiar with her," Gabriel nodded, shaking Nico's hand. "I really enjoyed your appearance in the Midnight Suns game last year."

"Glad someone else has played that game," Nico chuckled.

"It's good to see you again, Gabriel," Lylla said, the otter smiling as Gabriel knelt down to give her a hug. "I was enjoying the exhibit here when I came across Nico and decided to explore alongside her."

"I'm glad to see you again as well, Lylla," Gabriel smiled. "So Lena, how do you and Nico know each other?"

"Magical Goth Girls with serious parent issues," Lena and Nico said at the same time.

"Oh my gosh, you guys are totally twinning right now!" Kamala cheered.

"Please don't call it that…" Lena sighed, blushing from embarrassment. "But now that we're all here, we can explore the exhibit together."

"Sounds like a plan. I've been meaning to study up on all this space stuff more," Nico nodded.

"Yeah, and I can tell you guys all about my adventure with the Marvels," Kamala added.

As the group went to go inside, a shadow started to appear over the building. Looking up Gabriel frowned as an Imperial Shuttle descended down. The ship landed and out stepped Stormtroopers with patchwork armor, led by a woman in a red dress with facial markings matching those of the Night Sisters.

"People of Epcot, I come to claim this outpost in the name of Grand Admiral Thrawn," the woman said.

"Morgan Elsbeth, the Night Sister that works for Thrawn. I've heard about you," Gabriel said, summoning his Keyblade.

"I'm guessing she's a Star Wars baddie?" Lena asked.

Gabriel nodded. "She's a Night Sister, meaning she can use dark magic. Her Nigh Troopers are also magic zombies, meaning you can't just defeat them normally."

"A space witch and zombie soldiers? This is just like one of my Captain Marvel fanfictions!" Kamala gasped.

"I've dealt with the undead before, so I'm ready to take this witch down," Nico said, summoning her Staff of One.

"I'll fight too!" Lylla said, pulling out a blaster pistol. "Rocky's been teaching me how to use this."

"Then let's do this, team," Lena said, her eyes glowing blue as she took on her Super Sorceress form. "Morgan, was it? You might be a Night Sister, but let's show you how a real sorceress gets things done!"

"Such a boast from an ignorant child," Morgan said, summoning the Blade of Talzin in a flash of green fire. "Night Troopers, don't let anyone get in our way of taking this outpost!"

"Okay ladies, show them what you can do!" Gabriel said, starting up some Fantasia.

"Synchronize!" Nico called, using the Staff of One to link everyone to the music to empower them.

"This is going to be so cool!" Kamala whispered as they all ran into battle.

Now that you're out of my life

I'm so much better

You thought that I'd be weak without you

But I'm stronger

The Night Troopers raised their blasters to fire at the team, but Kamala used her hard-light ability to make a shield and deflect the blasts.

You thought that I'd be broke without you

But I'm richer

You thought that I'd be sad without you

I laugh harder

"Thanks Ms. Marvel!" Lylla said, using the shield as cover to hide behind and return fire.

You thought I wouldn't grow without you

Now I'm wiser

Thought that I'd be helpless without you

But I'm smarter

"Take this!" Lena shouted, flying overhead and tossing magic bolts at Morgan, who raised her sword to deflect the attack.

You thought that I'd be stressed without you

But I'm chilling

You thought I wouldn't sell without you

Sold 9 million

"Turn Undead!" Nico called, the Staff of One shining as it sent out a pulse of white energy, freezing the Night Troopers in place.

I'm a Survivor! (What?)

I'm not gon' give up! (What?)

I'm not gon' stop! (What?)

I'm gon' work harder! (What?)

"You'll be taking on me, Elsbeth!" Gabriel shouted, his Keyblade clashing with the Night Sister's sword.

"The Dream Keeper… you don't have as much skill as the Tano girl did," Morgan said as they traded blows.

I'm a Survivor! (What?)

I'm gonna make it! (What?)

I will survive! (What?)

Keep on surviving! (What?)

"You're right, I'm not as skilled as Ashoka, but I'm not alone either," Gabriel replied, looking around as the girls dealt with the Night Troopers.

I'm a Survivor! (What?)

I'm not gon' give up! (What?)

I'm not gon' stop! (What?)

I'm gon' work harder! (What?)

"Embiggen!" Kamala shouted, creating giant fists to gather up and slam the Night Troopers around.

I'm a Survivor! (What?)

I'm gonna make it! (What?)

I will survive! (What?)

Keep on surviving! (What?)

"Great job, team!" Lylla cheered.

"They're still zombies, though, so this isn't over," Lena warned, looking as the Night Troopers started to stand back up.

Thought I couldn't breathe without you

I'm inhaling

You thought I couldn't see without you

Perfect vision

Nico pointed her staff forward as she cast a spell, sending a horde of spectral ravens to claw and peck at the Night Troopers.

You thought I couldn't last without you

But I'm lasting

You thought that I would die without you

But I'm living

With the enemy distracted Lena went to help Gabriel, sending out a magic whip to grab one of Morgan's arms and make her stumble, letting Gabriel knock her back with a strong swing of Cosmic White.

Thought that I would fail without you

But I'm on top

Thought it would be over by now

But it won't stop

Lylla took aim and blasted at the weak points in the Night Troopers' armor, making sure the zombies would stay down this time.

Thought that I would self destruct

But I'm still here

Even in my years to come

I'm still gon' be here

"There we go. Now we can help Gabriel!" Kamala said as the girls went to assist in fighting the boss.

I'm a Survivor! (What?)

I'm not gon' give up! (What?)

I'm not gon' stop! (What?)

I'm gon' work harder! (What?)

Morgan raised up her sword and sent out a blast of green fire, but Kamala put up a shield to block it. The hard-light hero then created platforms for Nico and Lylla to jump across, the two firing magic/laser blasts respectively to attack the Nigh Sister.

I'm a Survivor! (What?)

I'm gonna make it! (What?)

I will survive! (What?)

Keep on surviving! (What?)

Lena then came from behind to fire a magic beam into Morgan's back, stunning her as Gabriel comboed off the attack with a few swipes from his Keyblade.

I'm a Survivor! (What?)

I'm not gon' give up! (What?)

I'm not gon' stop! (What?)

I'm gon' work harder! (What?)

"Not… those such as you shouldn't be able to stop me!" Morgan shouted.

"Girl, I've fought the mother of demons. You're nothing compared to her," Nico said.

"Or my Aunt Magica," Lena added, the two magic girls nodding before raising their hands. "Banish!" And in a flash of purple magic, Morgan and her Night Troopers were nowhere to be seen.

"That… was… awesome!" Kamala cheered, giving everyone a round of high-fives. "I'm totally going to add that to my next fic!"

"It was… exhilarating getting to use my skills," Lylla nodded. "I see why Rocket enjoys being a Guardian so much."

"But where did you guys send Morgan and her troops to?" Gabriel asked.

Nico gave a smirk. "Well, I think a certain celestial child will have some fun with his new toys that we sent him."

"The Collector? Man, that might be a fate worse than death, even if he is "reformed" now," Gabriel shuttered.

Lena laughed, reverting back to her normal form. "So that was fun, but are we going to go check out the exhibit or not?"

"That is what we came here to do," Gabriel nodded.

"Oh, but first!" Kamala said, pulling out her phone and using her powers to hold it out father. "Selfie for the team-up scrapbook I'm working on! Say "Embiggen!"
"Embiggen!" the team said as she took the photo.

"Great! Seth is going to be so jealous that we fought Stormtrooper zombies," Kamala said.

"I mean, we did fight those evil ghosts and other monsters around Halloween, so I don't know how jealous he'll actually be," Nico pointed out.

"Just let her have this," Lena said.

Author's Note

Another short chapter, but I wanted to do something since "the Marvels" came out this weekend. It was a really fun movie, a lot better than the first "Captain Marvel" movie, and Ms. Marvel was the stand-out star. Her actress really looked like she had a lot of fun on set, as did the rest of the cast.

Nico Minoru is from the Marvel team The Runaways, who had a TV show a few years back and Nico appeared in the video game "Midnight Suns" too. I think her and Lena would get along great, seeing as they're both magical Goth girls. Lylla was here too since I wanted her to show the training Rocket's been giving her.

But of course a bad guy had to show up, this time being Morgan Elsbeth and her Night Troopers from the "Ashoka" series. A magic space witch is the perfect villain for Lena to go up against, and everyone got to show off their skills in the battle. The song used was "Survivor" by Destiny's Child, which I thought was fitting for this girl-power team to fight to.

I'm actually going to be taking a break next week for Thanksgiving since I have a lot of stuff going on. Don't forget that Disney's "Wish" come on the twenty-second, because I'm really excited to see it! Next time will start the final arc of this year, a surprise announcement regarding a certain Dream Defender couple!
