Brunettes and Blondes
AN: Happy New Year Everyone.
Hope you're all well.
Just a little one-shot I wanted to write because Season 8 stressed me out a lot. Like the writers spent seven seasons telling us the Charmed ones are the most powerful witches in the world, but Billie is almost as powerful as Wyatt just without being a whitelighter?
And I know there were other powerful witches on the show like Richard, Bianca, etc but it did irk me especially as their powers were quite advanced by that point and Billie impo shouldn't have been that advanced even with being taught by the sisters but nevertheless she was, but we barely got a battle of their powers or like the power of three against the ultimate power so heres a rewrite/one shot of that.
Although Projection and the powers that can get accessed from it won't be explored much because one, I'm biased and two like I said I don't think Billie should've been that advanced. That's a powerful gift and it took Prue over a year to even access her astral projection and while I know Billie didn't get her powers bound, her power didn't come until a little before she met the sisters. I also know she was training her powers unlike the sisters but still not enough time. She's not twice blessed so I wasn't buying. I think the writers just wanted to make a cool last season and didn't think properly about the plot but nevertheless. She has the power so it will get used but not to the level she was using it in the show.

Set during Kill Billie: Vol 2, the potion battle.

"I told you this wouldn't make them attack first." They heard Christy say before the two Jenkin sisters disappeared.
"What was that?" Phoebe asked her sisters.
Herself, Piper and Paige moved towards the spot where the blonde duo had been.
"Billie's Projection power." Answered Paige almost disdainfully.
Phoebe understood the feeling. It had taken them years to master their powers and yet within the span of eight months plus their teachings, Billie had mastered her power and was using it and their knowledge to try and kill them.
Not only was it irritating but hurtful too.
They had treated Billie like family, and this was how she repaid them?
Phoebe shook off the hurt she was feeling as her senses picked up on movement from behind them. As second later her ears caught up with the feeling as she and her sisters heard the pitter patter of feet.
All three sisters swerved around to see the Jenkin sisters run in from the dining room and throw some vanquishing potions at them. Piper and Paige reacted quickly by throwing some, but Phoebe hesitated.
This was Billie and whilst Christy was certainly twisted Billie was just being manipulated by her sister. How could she vanquish Billie for that?
Still those thoughts left her head as the potion collided in mid-air causing an explosion that rippled through the air causing each set of sisters to fly backwards.
The Jenkins landed on the wall just below railing meanwhile the charmed ones flew further into the conservatory, destroying several of the furniture.
As Phoebe came too, she still had her vanquishing potion clutched in her hand. She was surprised it had managed to survive considering the furniture hadn't and if that had been the effect of four potions colliding, she'd hate to think what all five potions would've done.
She heard several groans from all around her and heard shuffling next to her. Assumedly Piper.
She'd look but her body ached from the fall, and she was trying to recover from having the wind knocked out of her, but luck wasn't on her side as she heard Billie's voice loud and clear.
"Oh my god. You're hurt." Cried Billie.
Phoebe lifted her head to see Christy already sitting up, looking over at her and sisters with a feral look in her eyes as she leaned away from Billie's touch.
"Where are the other vials?" She heard Christy call out.
Phoebe wanted to call out to Paige so they could orb the hell out. While it was infuriating to run away from them, they had indeed taught Billie well and she had used their strongest vanquishing potions against them. If they tried that again they could get killed.
They had to come up with a new plan but before Phoebe could call to Paige, she heard her baby sister shout.
"Fireball!"
Pushing past her pain Phoebe shot up to see that Christy who was now standing had sent a fireball towards all three them.
The fireball changed mid direction and went flying towards Christy, but the fireball suddenly swerved into the dining room and out of sight.
Phoebe looked to see Billie who was now rising to her feet.
Phoebe did the same.
Phoebe could see the hatred in Christy's eyes and concern in Billie's. Christy was bleeding although she seemed completely unfazed by the injury as she continued to stare at them.
Billie then decided to speak.
"Look Phoebe, Paige, Christy and Piper are hurt. Do yourselves a favour and give up now and all of this stops. You've become too selfish to keep your powers, but nobody has to die. Work with us." Pleaded Billie.
Phoebe could tell she believed that but both Paige and Christy scoffed. Phoebe turned to face Paige. It was then that Phoebe realised they were down a sister in this second standoff. Piper still was on the floor unconscious. She wasn't bleeding but she was out.
This was bad.
Piper had the firepower after all.
"Save the crap Billie. First of all, we've actually met the guys who decide whether we keep our powers or not. You don't have the authority sister, so don't tell us about how to use our powers more or less think that you have the power to take ours. Secondly, we took you in, saved you, taught you and treated you like family and you turned your back on us. You let you're big demonically warped sister brainwash you. We're not the evil ones here and as for selfish, maybe we're not perfect and we don't always get it right but we're the charmed ones and we've done more good than you've ever seen demons, and no blonde bimbos is gonna take that away from us. So, if anyone is gonna give up here, it's you two." Said Paige coldly.
It sent shivers down Phoebe's spine, but she knew Paige hadn't truly forgiven Billie, for her mind spell that had caused Paige to lose her charge even if she was a whitelighter now.
'I don't think so." Spat Christy as she stepped forward and took Billie's hand.
Phoebe and Paige looked at each other in panic.
If they weren't about to produce another giant fireball then they could do to them what they did to the Noxon demon and kill them and then Piper.
Phoebe wouldn't allow that no matter how much she cared about Billie.
Her sisters came first.
"Paige follow my lead." Said Phoebe as she suddenly threw the vial in her hand.
Christy as predicted burnt the vial in mid-air, but it was enough to break her concentration from using the ultimate power which Phoebe used to their advantage buy signalling to Paige to orb herself and Phoebe beside Billie and Christy.
Paige got the message and orbed Phoebe right beside Billie whilst simultaneously orbing next to Christy.
Caught off guard Billie didn't have time to stop the kick that Phoebe delivered to her abdomen, whilst Paige punched Christy in the face.
Unfortunately for Phoebe and Paige their victory was short lived as Bille, whilst winded was still able to use her telekinesis and send both Phoebe and Paige flying with Paige flying into the dining room and Phoebe landing few feet away from Piper.
Phoebe once again groaned in pain as she hit the ground hard.
Beside her she heard another groan.
"Piper! Piper honey are you alright?" Called out Phoebe.
She got another groan in response.
Before she could say anything else though she heard Christy's voice.
"Billie go get the other vials whilst their down. I'll hold them off."
"Christy no we need to..."
"Billie do as I say. NOW!" Ordered Christy who was rising to her feet, she then started to pace towards herself.
Phoebe saw Billie slowly lift herself up off the floor and she started to scuttle for the kitchen when the frame of the dining room exploded.
Phoebe looked behind her to see a dazed Piper holding up her hands.
The explosion didn't catch Billie, but it was enough to blast Billie off her feet again and hit the floor hard. It also distract Christy, which gave Phoebe the chance to get up and jump over the chair and kick Christy who went flying into the wall again, this time putting a crack in it and making Christy cough up a little blood.
"Paige!" Shouted Phoebe but it was all she had time for before for the third time she was sent off her feet by Billie who was still sprawled out on the floor but had her hand in the air before slumping to breath again.
Phoebe hit the frame off the foyer, hard.
The back of Phoebe's head smacked it and whilst she wasn't unconscious, but she was in too much pain to move, and she was now bleeding although she couldn't decipher from where because of the throbbing pain in her head.
They had to leave now.
"Phoebe!" Called out Piper.
Piper slowly got to her feet as did Christy.
The two disorientated witches locked eyes for one moment before they went to use their powers.
Piper lifted her hands and Christy concentrated.
Piper suddenly felt a heat surge rise up her body. Christy was trying to set her on fire like she did with the demons but for some reason Piper was more resistant to this but the heat was still making her uncomfortable and stumbled, causing her hands to miss Christy and instead blow up the railing of stairs but a piece of debris hit Christy in the back of her causing her to stumble forward. She wasn't unconscious either, but she was unceremoniously slumped on the floor failing to hold herself up for the moment
"Christy!" Came a shout from Billie.
Piper groaned intensely as she struggled to rise to her feet again.
Billie like Phoebe was still slumped on the other side of the frame started to rise. She started pushing herself up with the help of the frame. Blood was trickling from her nose and a litter of cuts and scratches were across her neck and forearms.
Piper hobbled herself toward Phoebe. Her sister was still awake, but she looked weak.
All five witches were now within range each other. Piper could now see that Paige had been knocked out under the dining room table.
"Paige!" Cried out Piper.
She was closer to Billie and Christy, and she needed to keep her safe from as well as get her to heal Phoebe.
Piper's eyes locked onto to Billie who stared back at her fearfully.
For just a second it made her remember that Billie really was just a kid and Piper hated that a kid could look at her like that.
Would Wyatt and Chris ever look at her like that?
Piper knew she had the scary witch reputation of the family, but she didn't like the look in Billie eyes.
Still Piper had to shake it off. Billie and her deranged sister were trying to kill her, and her sisters and if she didn't take them out first Wyatt and Chris would grow up without a mother and father and Piper wouldn't let that happen.
One son had already gone through that, and she wasn't about to let Chris face that again or let Wyatt go through it whatsoever.
Still her hesitation to lift her hands costed her as Billie astral projected herself next to Piper and delivered a high kick to her mid riff causing Piper to go flying near the manor doors.
Phoebe saw this and weakly cried out to Piper.
Billie in astral form felt better than in her body right now but she wouldn't be able to maintain it long. She ran over to Christy and picked her sister up.
Christy had a horrible cut on the back of her neck and Billies eyes went wide, this and her shoulder wound needed to get sorted out now before she lost too much blood.
Bilie projected back into her sleeping body and woke up the aches in her body coming back and limped back over to Christy.
"Christy please listen to me. You're seriously hurt, and I don't know how long we can go on like this before we get ourselves killed." Said Billie desperately whilst grabbing Christy's shoulder but Christy smacked Billie's hand away from her before bending over.
Christy groaned in serious pain and took some shallow breaths before surveying the situation, Phoebe, who was closest to them, was still slumped on the floor and grappling with consciousness.
Piper was by the manor doors trying to force herself up, but it was clear the kick had winded her. Still Piper just about managed to sit up and Christy forced herself into a standing position.
Piper who wasn't breathing evenly lifted her hands and Christy decided to use a different trick on Piper. As her fire power was the only one to worry about.
"Billie take my hand." Urged Christy holding it out for her to take. Billie did as she was told and then Christy took her other hand and rubbed it on her temple focusing her power on Piper's thoughts.
Piper suddenly clutched her head in pain and started screaming as she could hear hundreds, maybe even thousands of voices screaming in her head.
Phoebe jolted awake and could see Billie and Christy in front of her and she tried to help her big sister but she was in too much pain. Suddenly though she heard a voice.
"Witches!" Came a raspy shout from Paige in the dining and Billie and Christy were surrounded in orbs that lifted them off their feet and sent them crashing into the stair railing and hitting the far wall hard.
Phoebe saw Paige limp into view, with a nasty gash under lip and a even bigger one on her forehead.
"Phoebe!" Said Paige in panic.
Paige didn't even try to cross the space; she orbed straight next to her sister and began to heal her.
It took a few minutes and Paige wasn't sure if that was due to her own pain or because Phoebe was losing blood from somewhere but Phoebe after those agonising minutes looked ok and stood up by herself. They heard groans on the broken staircase and saw Billie and Christy were starting to get up.
Paige barely had energy to move now, and she took Phoebes place by sliding down the wall.
"No Paige honey, get up we have to move." Said Phoebe urgently.
Just then she sensed something and Phoebe dived out the way as fire ball came surging through the air and unfortunately hit clock, fortunately away from Paige though.
Unfortunately, Phoebe had also dived away from Paige, leaving Paige open but Christy had her sights set on her from the stairs, she touched her temples and there was suddenly a minor screeching in Phoebe's head but it was enough to hurt her head for a moment which allowed Christy to create another fireball and hurtle it at Phoebe.
Phoebe didn't have time to dive and didn't need to either because suddenly her body lifted in the air.
Christy looked bewildered at the sight as her fireball hit chair and scorched it instead of Phoebe.
Phoebe looked just as bewildered and then realised that her levitation power had been given back to her.
Talk about perfect timing. She thought to herself.
It seemed that she hadn't lost any control over her ability either and like her premonitions it seemed stronger if anything.
She wondered if her empathy had come back but too but she couldn't feel anyone's feelings so she let herself get down. She grabbed the lamp off of the table and threw it towards Christy's head but the lamp went crashing into the wall. Billie was up now but she looked as weak as Paige. Christy did too but she looked much more determined to kill them.
Christy once again began to create a fireball, but Phoebe was quick this time and quickly ran over to Paige and grabbed her upper body, levitated their bodies up to avoid the fire but Billie managed to use telekinesis to send them both flying causing the sisters to catapult into the living room but luckily out of Billie and Christy's sight.
Phoebe recovered quickly picking Paige up resting her on the couch furthest away from the stairs. Phoebe then ran out of the living room and into foyer to collect Piper who was on her knees and breathing heavily. She couldn't see Billie or Christy from this position, but she wasn't gonna chance a look not whilst her sisters were down.
She lifted Piper too her feet and dragged into the living and next to Paige. Keeping her senses alert.
They were both hurt pretty badly but Phoebe didn't doubt for a second that, that would stop them for long.
"Paige honey, I know you're weak, but you have to heal Piper." Said Phoebe taking one of Phoebe's hands and positioning it over Piper.
Piper was covered in bruises and blood was pooling on couch somewhere from her back.
Paige was dazed but she seemed to hear Phoebe and her hand began healing Piper, it took even long to heal Piper and Phoebe was getting anxious because she could hear no movement from Billie and Christy.
Finally, Piper was healed although she still groaned after sitting up. Phoebe now decided to peak and edged around the frame of the living room and sitting room.
Billie and Christy were nowhere to be seen. Meaning they were most likely upstairs taking a moment to catch their breath.
Phoebe turned back to her sisters.
"Where are they?" Asked Piper, getting ready to fight again.
"I think they're upstairs, but we need to focus on Paige. She hit her head really hard Piper." Said Phoebe in a low tone.
Piper looked at Paige with concern.
"We need a whitelighter." Said Piper.
"Do you think we should call for Sam?" Asked Phoebe quickly.
"No, this isn't his fight, and something tells me the elders wouldn't let him if we tried. They must know what's going down right now." Replied Piper.
"Piper, she's the one who can orb and right now she's bleeding heavily." Cried Phoebe.
"I know Phoebe, but I have a better idea. Billie and Christy are the ultimate power but we're the power of three and furthermore we've done what they can do." Replied Piper.
"What are you talking Piper?" Asked Phoebe with an air of confusion.
"I mean we're the most powerful witches in the world and our bond is just strong as theirs, no, stronger. If we want to stop the ultimate power and get Leo back, we need to rely on our bond." Answered Piper.
"Ok but how does that help Paige?" Asked Phoebe frantically.
"Think about it Pheebs. Billie uses her power enhance Christy's. We can do that too, remember when the Crone took our senses and had a hold of Wyatt? What did we do?" Asked Piper.
"You and I channelled Paige's power and called for Wyatt." Said Phoebe gaining and understanding of where Piper was going with this talk.
"Exactly and if we could do that we could..." Started Piper.
"Channel Paige's healing and heal her..." Finished Phoebe.
"Exactly and start using the power of three in the way the ultimate power is being used against us." Replied Piper seriously.
"That might work. Ok let's heal Paige." Said Phoebe extending a hand to Piper, who too it in return. Piper and Phoebe then both sat on either side of Paige and Phoebe took Paige's hand and intertwined it with hers and Piper whilst Piper told Paige to focus on using her healing powers.
Piper and Phoebe then concentrated and suddenly felt a flow of Paige's power through them and with their separate hands they put their hands over Paige's face.
Their hands suddenly glowed, and Paige's wound began to heal much faster than she had healed either of them.
When Paige opened her eyes, she sprung up into her sister's arms and the three them had a quick embrace.
"How did you..." Started Paige.
"Power of three." Answered Piper.
"Works like a charm." Added Phoebe.
"And where are our uncharming counterparts?" Asked Paige as all three stood up.
"Probably trying to find another way to kill us." Spat Piper.
"Well while we could use the power of three, I don't think the normal spell will cut it. I mean they might be acting like it but they're not demons and we'll need a specific spell to take away their powers." Stated Phoebe.
"Yeah, well as much as we have the power of three, are we even gonna get chance to use it? I mean power we're practically evenly matched. Even if we try to do a spell what's stopping them from flinging us about and sending fireballs at us?" Asked Paige.
"Look they're hurt just as badly as we were. We just need a few more hits to nail them and then we can come up with a spell." Replied Piper edging towards the sitting room.
Phoebe and Paige followed closely behind her.
The house was a wreck. Blood, debris and scorches were everywhere.
Piper didn't even want to think about what the cost would be to fix everything.
They veered toward the conservatory to ensure that the two sisters couldn't jump out on them again.
"Pheebs, you know where they are?" Asked Piper.
Phoebe closed her eyes and focused on tapping into all the psychic energy around her. Suddenly she was pulled into a premonition.
Billie and Christy are sneaking through the dining room but only Billie enters the conservatory and Billie kicks a piece of broken chair, that surprises Piper, Phoebe and Paige before throwing vanquishing potions at them.
End of Premonition
Phoebe jolted out of her premonition when Paige shook her on the shoulder.
Phoebe looked at her.
"I just heard something." Said Paige and she listened for whatever noise she heard but Phoebe felt strange.
The premonition she had, had felt in complete like she had been pulled out of it too early before it could finish.
Still, she had seen it and as if on cue the sound of a piece of wood spiralled into view on the floor. Piper and Paige turned to the noise and suddenly Billie was standing there with a vanquishing potion which she threw at them.
Phoebe made all three of them duck instead of Piper blowing it up mid-air to avoid another explosion.
Phoebe quickly glanced at Billie.
She looked fine, even though she was weak not too long ago.
Phoebe made the jump this time as Piper lifted, her hands and went blast Billie, but Phoebe spun her around blowing up a plant pot instead as Billie ducked out of the way, but Phoebe knew she was in astral m ode again she realised that Christy and Billie were actually back on the stairs. Creating another giant fireball that looked even bigger than last night's one.
Piper, Phoebe and Paige's eyes all went wide at the sight.
"Ok, chant sisters." Said Piper as she grabbed Paige's and Phoebe's hands.
"The power of three will set us three. The power of three will set us three. The power of three will set us three. The power of three will set us three. The power of three will set us three. The power of three will set us three."
The three sisters chanted as Billie used telekinesis to throw the giant fireball at the charmed ones but halfway across the fireball stopped in tracks but didn't dissipate as the Jenkins continued to force the fireball toward the charmed ones, but they continued to chant causing the ball to ripple wildly above the couch.
The sisters continued chanting pushing all their will against the fireball and the power of three won out.
The Jenkins were being pushed mentally too much and couldn't hold out against the power of three however the fireball being push by two forces rippled out of control.
When Billie and Christy had to let go, most of the fireball got deflected back towards the Jenkins but some of it flew towards the charmed causing them to fly out of the conservatory window, predominantly unharmed.
The Jenkins weren't as lucky as they had to avoid their raging fireball by diving out of the way, but they both fell ungracefully down the stairs.
Phoebe landed hard on the grass but managed to lift herself. So did Paige.
"You alright?" She heard Paige say to her.
Phoebe nodded and looked at Piper.
"Piper, you ok?" Asked Phoebe concerned.
Piper was out cold again.
Phoebe turned to look in the house.
Amazingly even as battered and bruised as they looked and were, the Jenkin sisters were still awake.
Christy caught sight of them.
Phoebe was aware that realistically that her and Paige could take them out seeming as they were definitely at their weakest right now, but the idea still felt wrong, and Piper was her concern.
It was clear that the power three could finish them but that mix of their powers had almost killed them, both their bonds and individual powers and if they were even going to kill them, they'd need to use it again, but the Jenkins were determined.
Yes, they had overpowered them with the power of three, but they wouldn't go down without a fight and if herself and Paige fought by themselves again the chances were they would end up bleeding again even if they won the fight and healing wouldn't help Piper until she woke up naturally so stressfully Phoebe turned to Paige.
"Let's get her out of here." Said Phoebe.
"But what about..." Started Paige but Phoebe cut her off.
"We'll need Piper, and the chances are they'll still be weak after this. They don't have any whitelighters. Let's get her back to the condo, come up with a plan that they won't see coming and get Leo back." Said Phoebe firmly.
Paige nodded her head and took a hold of Piper's hand.
Phoebe did the same and the three sisters orbed from the garden, readying themselves for the next step of the ultimate battle.

AN: So that's the one shot. I know someone on this site has probably done it, but I've never seen one, so I thought I'd do one myself.
I hope you guys enjoyed it.
I just thought it was so dumb that the sisters didn't use the power that made them the most powerful witches in the first place.
Probably could've saved themselves a lot of time if they had but I wanted to make this rewrite of the scene fit with the episode instead of just being entirely biased and making the charmed ones outright win the battle to fit with the idea that the Jenkins who were only a duo were actually powerful enough to go up against the sisters.
I also felt like the potion battle wasn't enough to warrant using the hollow straight off the bat, but the battle scene is pretty cool, so I wanted to also respect that and hopefully build a scene that could've fit in the episode with some realism.
Still I found it even dumber that the writers wanted to really convince us that the sisters could take on the Source, Cole, Zankou, the Triad but not Billie and Christy?
I know I'm super biased, but I'm still irked about how season 8 was handled especially as it arguably had the second-best season arc if you ask me.
Still, I'm not a Billie and Christy hater. I have a story on my account for them although I won't be working on it yet.
I've been rewatching Charmed in recent months and after recovering from my accident I wanted to get back to my writing.
For example, I will also be posting my rewrite of the power of 5 where Prue, Piper, Phoebe, Paige and Chris are siblings. Feel free to check that out if you like.
I want to focus on the rewrite first so the Jenkin story and my Chris revelation story will hopefully be tackled a little bit later in the year.
