The first time Piper called Chris by the term of endearment, it slipped out on accident. Five months pregnant, she was finally past the morning sickness and thankful that Victor had knocked some sense into her son and he was coming around more (they were trying to convince him to move in, and hopefully he'd give in soon). She dropped a plate and looked at it mournfully, knowing she'd never be able to stand back up again if she got down to grab it. She glanced over at Wyatt hopefully. "Can you grab that for Mommy, please?" she asked the toddler hopefully. He didn't get a chance to help because Chris orbed in. She sighed in relief. "Peanut, would you pick that up for me, please?"

They both froze, Piper in confusion, and Chris in shock. He looked like he had been hit by a ton of bricks. Dazed, he leaned down and picked up the paper plate for her. "How?" he asked, mostly still at a loss for words after he threw it away.

"It slipped out. Did I call you "peanut" at all?" she asked curiously, hoping he wouldn't cite future consequences for once.

He nodded. "Yeah, you did - all the time. Kinda embarrassing the older I got." Chris didn't mention how much he had missed the stupid term of endearment after her death.

She snorted. "Well, get used to that, Christopher. It's my job as your mother to embarrass you boys."

"As you've mentioned before," he shot back, flashing her a shy grin.

Piper playfully bumped his shoulder. "Well, peanut, are you hungry at all? I can make you something." And she wasn't about to take no for an answer either, which he thankfully picked up on.

He sighed, knowing he couldn't get out of this. "I really do need to look in the Book of Shadows but fine, feed me." He headed over to the table, playfully ruffling Wyatt's hair as he passed by his older baby brother. Piper heated up the leftovers in the microwave and then sat down next to Chris after handing the plate over. "Thanks, Mom."

"You're welcome, sweetie."

After he ate enough to satisfy her, Chris stood up, cleaned everything up, and orbed upstairs to the attic to look through the Book.

It was a day that would stick in Piper's memory for the rest of her life and one she thought of every time she referred to her middle child as "peanut". He got saddled with the term of endearment for his whole life but Chris honestly didn't mind all that much.
